The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Good pasta! The menu was ok, not incredible for my taste...but all my colleagues love it! So they are probably doing something right

Always book here whenever we are in York. The food is amazing and it has a real buzzy atmosphere, which we love. This time we had the arancini off the specials board then a pizza and risotto, all faultless. House wine delicious too. It’s a running joke that we always get seated close to the toilet but I am not bothered here as everything else makes up for it! Pay it a visit it won’t disappoint!!

Made a last minute decision for a takeaway. Booked by phone at 5.45, collected at 6.15 as arranged by the restaurant and sat at home by 6.30pm tucking in to a huge lasagne and massive pizza pescatore. Great service, food was amazing and piping hot. Didn’t realise they did takeaways so this may well become a regular occurrence now! I may have to make sure there are four of us in future as there certainly was plenty. Thanks very much to the staff and highly recommend to anyone else.

Pizzeria Restaurant very close to the British Museum, we ate an excellent pizza and drank a Baladin beer! The well-executed pizza was excellent and easily digestible, the place is small but the spaces are well managed, if you want to eat an excellent pizza this is the right place! The service was fast and kind. Thanks, I felt like I was in Italy...

Wow ! We ate here last night and the food and service was excellent! We took my 6 year old and they catered for her as well so everyone was happy! Best Italian I have had in a look time.

Party of 1 here. Took about 15-20 minutes to be seated but I was immediately greeted. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. Food was incredible and made in house where you can have a nice visual of near the entrance. I was holiday so I’m always willing to pay for good food and good experience, so I’d say the value matched the price.

Food was to say the least mediocre. Service very slow. Prices were London. Atmosphere on the other hand was great.

I can only mirror other reviews. Excellent traditional Sicilian restaurant, a wqrm welcome, really fantastic food. I lived in Italy for 2 years and ate A LOT out there, this was right up there with some of the finest Italian meals I've had. Superb service. We were up on the highest floor which has a real feel that you are on holiday up there. Left there a bit squiffy, very full and very happy! I might even go back to Worcester just to eat here again.

Here for business in Halifax,imagine finding a high class Italian restaurant,when you least expected. Needs to blow its own trumpet,was a pleasure dining here,from the exceptional welcome,to watching the young chef prepare the food,with a passion and gusto, I would recommend you visit this restaurant, and transport yourself to sitting by the canals of Venice,the food is excellent.

The menu on Facebook is old everything seemed good value. Until we got there. Most items 4/5 £ more. The food was ok nothing to crow about.we had pizzas, starters. And half roast chicken. Starter wasn't really memorable. Had to ask for more bread..service was good..wine was cold. Wasn't bad but not brilliant..then asked to move.before we finished. Would i go back.🤔 maybe.

Great food, great ambience. Pathetic service. The guy who served us was really rude. We were a group of 6 and 2 babies. I have always been welcomed everywhere in the UK with my baby with this exception. Surprisingly I just read a lot of similar expirences. Not sure why you haven't changed your staff.

The profiteroles are the best I've ever had, highly recommend! Incredible menu and worth a visit if you're feeling something Italian. I went here for a friend's birthday and the service was brilliant. Considering how many people we had (15 or so) all our food was hot and came out in very good time. Thank you to all the staff who made the evening so lovely ❤️

A group of us went here for food, the pizzas and starters were ok. However my partner found a long black hair in his Arancini balls, which he complained to them and they took it off the bill, when we came to pay they were quite rude about the fact we didn’t want to pay the service charge, which we then said, why would we when we found hair in the food & the men’s toilet had loads of cigarette butts in the sink & no hand wash in the bathrooms. I’ll give an overall 2 star rating because some staff were ok at their job (apart from the red haired lady)& the starters were good.
