Very busy on Saturday night so we had to wait quite a while but worth it. Lovely food, and a buzzing atmosphere make for a great night. Just allow plenty of time and enjoy the vibe!

We’ve been coming to Grappolos for years for various birthdays and family get togethers! The food is always lovely, the waiters are always pleasant and welcoming. Thank you.

We had a lovely time with the family for my daughter’s birthday. The food was beautiful and lots of different pastas to choose from. They treated both my daughters like princesses and my 4 year old who’s birthday it was brought a special ice cream and slush on a plate with a candle and everyone sang to her with different birthday hats too. They went above and beyond we can’t recommend it enough. They were very friendly and on the ball clearing the the table and bringing drinks. We will definitely be back.

10/10 all round. Wanted to try a restaurant that we hadn't been to before and chose grappolo. The welcome from staff was so friendly and service all night was excellent. The food was some of the best we have had, and have already booked to return for a family birthday with a larger group next month. The owner Hamid, came to speak with us - such a nice person. I would definitely recommend a visit to grappolo, amazing in every way.

Really packed & busy place. Credit to the staff who manage it all very well. The staff here are amazing: engaging, courteous, accommodating & friendly. The food is nice, although a little hit and miss sometimes. Some dishes are great. Always great quality however with some dishes the flavour isn't quite there. Still, we will be back again. Car parking can be an issue as its quite small for the size of the restaurant. Overall a positive experience, worth a visit.

The food was lovely, staff very good but it was packed and so noisy it was unbearable so ate and left very quickly with my main in a box.

We went for a family meal here (6 of us) and the waiters came to take our order so quickly and the food didn't take long either eventhough it was super busy! It all tasted amazing, the quality never seems to diminish. Theres plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians here too, even gluten free options, so you shouldn't struggle for choice. Definitely reccommend!

Terrible food ,had chicken Kiev all I can say is I've had better from the supermarket,I've never had a chicken breast served in 4',pieces,before ,not a good experience.

Came here with my family for my yearly birthday meal visit and in all the time I’ve been coming they never disappoint actually get better every year. Bobby goes above and beyond every time we visit! All staff are attentive to detail and are so welcoming! I’ve been coming here for 20 years and I’ve received the same level of service from day one. A great place for a celebratory dinner with friends/ family or a romantic meal for two. Grappolos caters for all!

This is one of our favourite places to eat as a family, always delicious food and a lovely, friendly atmosphere. We went last night at our son's request, and it didn't disappoint, the food was delicious as ever and they made a special pizza for my son. Shout out to Bobby, Noah's favourite waiter who made a fuss of him and brought him an ice cream accompanied with sparklers and music. Thank you for always making us feel welcome.

What a great Italian restaurant , authentic great food and service. Lively atmosphere and really friendly staff. Reminded me of Aldo’s in cleckheaton when it was good years and years ago. I’ll be back here , my kids all loved it too. We love pizzas and these were the best outside of Italy.

This place is not a couples place. It’s got larger rowdy groups and birthday. All night we had happy birthdays galore and football chanting. It was like this the last time we went but thought a one off. (Without the football chanting). Food was not as nice as previous. Oily lasagne. Ok on the whole but too rowdy

Yet again another amazing meal here, we were here for my nephews 12th birthday and as always all staff are friendly and attentive. Every dish was delicious and my nephew had such a fuss made and the ladies were brought limoncello !! I will always come back, what a great restaurant.

I have dined here numerous times and always had a great meal/experience Tonight it was awful , “ping ding” oily lasagna, crispy burnt tasteless garlic pizza bread, 2 other over cooked items plus an extremely vocal and hyper waiter trying to hurry everyone up. Poor evening, Waste of money

Our go to destination for celebration or just a random meal out. The staff are as amazing as the food and always make a fuss of our 8 year old. My favourite restaurant by a clear margin.

Visited for family birthday, the service was excellent, staff are so friendly and very helpful, Bobby made some lovely napkin roses for the children who could watch him make them. Food is lovely and generally a lovely evening

Good food and the staff were great, really helpful. There is a good choice, which helps when you have several picky eaters in the party like us. It was also good for my parents who are not good on their feet, so they were able to park on site and walk in on the flat.

Couldn't fault the customer service. I know Italian Restaurants are family friendly & can be noisy, but this was TOO noisy - it was a family get together & we had difficulty having conversations. Food was OK but limited choice & have to say we've had tastier.

A really welcoming family atmosphere! We had a great time on a busy Saturday night, a few of us are audio sensitive and were worried it might be a bit loud for us, but we asked the staff who very kindly moved us to a quieter table upstairs. It was a really kind and thoughtful gesture, and it meant the world to us. The atmosphere was great, everyone in our party and around us was having a great time, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I am so grateful to Vittorio who took such good care of us, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The best place for authentic food and fabulous ambience

Five of us dined here again yesterday and the experience was fantastic. The food was incredible and the service was exceptional—they really couldn't have been more attentive. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

Just a really honest review., Me and my Girlfriend went in on Thursday for date night., We were greeted by a really friendly guy and thought this is nice. Atmosphere felt great too with plenty of people getting birthday wishes to by the staff. So all good so far.. then I asked for a Malbec red, they didn’t have any then I asked for a Shiraz they didn’t have any unless I bought the bottle.they only served Cabernet Sauvignon by the glass. So I had this. My other half could tell I didn’t like it by my face , ok no biggy it will be ok. So we are seated to our chairs all good still excited, food was looking good coming out and decent size portions. Eventually when my dish come which was a chicken and chorizo with melted cheese on top with a cream cheese sauce.. Wish I took a photo now. Well I have to be honest, I said to my other half , this is ridiculous the taste was so bland , chicken was really tough and the chorizo well it didn’t taste like chorizo and the sauce was shocking. I didn’t want to cause a fuss so I grinded away at it but left half. The other dish was a pizza I thought it was ok 5/10 as the chorizo and pepperoni were not what I have tasted before , just nothing Italian about it at all. I’m no chef but I can cook and I believe I can cook a lot better than who ever made these meals for us, it shouldn’t be the case, the chef should have these recipes of to a T, second nature and should be full of great flavours, I have to be sincere as you look at my other reviews I leave a true reflection of my experience every time. The staff were amazing though they really were. . Thanks. .

Went here for our anniversary meal on saturday 20th April. As soon as we were seated was asked to place our order, told them give us 5 mins.. then was asked by 2 more staff what we wanted to order literally few seconds apart again… they didn’t give us a chance to look at the menu long enough.. when we asked what they would recommend for mains. was bluntly told a couple of chicken dishes.. We ordered calamari starters which were not too bad, then with the main meals is when it went totally down hill. My wife found a hair in her food which she pointed out the waiter in a quite tone as not to make a scene as it was very busy.. The waiter didn’t once apologise or even say a word and didn’t look happy. Took the plate and came back with a replacement less than 2 mins later. So not even sure if they remade the dish or just took the hair out.. The second meal we had was a meat pizza which wasn’t too tasty. It was very busy as it was a Saturday.. but the customer service shouldn’t have lacked. And the fact they pressure you to order so quickly and no apology for the hair in the meal etc.. We will not be going again

We've been coming to Grappolos for many years and the food and atmosphere never disappoint. The staff are always very attentive,friendly and welcoming. We were there for daughters birthday meal and the staff made it special for her. The food was really good with a nice variety to suit everyone. Surf and turf was delicious!. We booked into The Grappolo in Huddersfield, four adults, and two children to celebrate the tenth birthday of one of the children. Booking the Grappolo turned out to be an excellent choice, although I would advise booking as it is a very busy restaurant with couples and family groups alike. Our food was enjoyed by all and clean plates exemplified this, but what made the Grappolo a cut above was the service given by all of the staff. From a smiling welcome to the prompt and efficient service even though the restaurant was very busy. The waiting staff made a great effort to speak with each member of the party in a jovial friendly and relaxed manner. In particular, a gentleman called Bobby entertained the children thus helping us all to enjoy an excellent and memorable evening. So thank you Bobby and all at Grappolo from a party of very satisfied customers.

Had a fabulous experience on Sunday For our daughters birthday. There was 10 of us. We were made to feel very welcome. The food is always well presented and very tasty. Hamid is always very polite and is pleased to see you. Bobby is so entertaining and funny. Makes you feel special.

Grappolo’s is an absolutely fantastic place to eat, the food is always great, having been several times over the last few years. We went for our young lads birthday meal, children all had pizza and loved it, adults also enjoyed the food, which is always done to an excellent standard. The staff are always very pleasant, friendly and always smiling, they make you feel very welcome. Bobby came and spoke to us often, speaking to the children and engaging with them very happily, also on request played the birthday song, had all the restaurant singing and clapping for our young lads 7th birthday while Bobby had Freddie up and dancing (much to his embarrassment and our joy!) Also, with a complementary ice cream with birthday candle 🥳 Summary; great food, great place and excellent staff!

The food and the atmosphere here is excellent and prices are fair. We eventually had a great night after a poor start. Just after our arrival another party arrived. We were totally ignored whilst hugs were exchanged between the staff and their “more important” guests. We didn’t let it bother us, but some people would have been offended. It won’t put us off returning, but others would definitely think otherwise.

An early evening meal before going on to a concert. Being welcomed as old friends (we weren't, but it felt good) by an avuncular maître d'. who insisted on finding a table which would accommodate someone using clumpy crutches. Immediate service from very friendly and young staff who provided prompt help without us feeling rushed. Food apart, my main positive about the place was the incredible and very Italian family atmosphere in which the staff were all positive, efficient, friendly and funny. I know it's not original but everything came to a stop to celebrate someone's birthday on another table. with sparkly hats, fizzing candles, cake and singing. The best part was the way all the other diners reacted. They must have been regulars because the slow, increasing handclaps, cheering and singing happy birthday involved virtually everyone there. The food? a great Italian bistro menu with a full board of special starters and mains ranging from £6ish to just over £20. Drinks extra. Great service, great food and people who notice you (like our friend rushing over to point out that it was unnecessary to go upstairs when a disabled loo was available near the reception. What? Of course! We'll go back soon.

9 of us went to Grappolo for my Mums 70th birthday. It was amazing service from start to finish. Bobbi was our waiter and he was brilliant! Food was great to, we weren’t waiting long either.

We had a lovely meal last night, and made most welcome, the atmosphere was great at 5.30pm, where else in Huddersfield can you get this so early in the evening it was fabulous! Good wheelchair access to! Thank you, Julie x

I organised a meal for 23 people to celebrate a 40th birthday and chose Grappolo's. The room was beautifully decorated, live music was great, food was excellent and I was astonished that such a large order was served together and served hot. I can't fault the place. Absolutely amazing place. From the second we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Very busy but always felt very relaxed and calm . Food was beautiful and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. Been here a few times now and is honestly one of them places that you can't wait to go back to. . The staff and management / owners should be really proud of how well the place is run and how good the atmosphere and food always is .

This restaurant was buzzing when we arrived. I had booked online and mistakenly booked the wrong date, but they managed to accommodate us and we had a fabulous meal. Waiters were really good, friendly without being over bearing. Service was prompt and the food was lovely. Really nice place.
