Valentinos Scissett in Kirklees

This was our first visit to Valentinos & what a pleasant evening we had .The staff were friendly & very professional, the restaurant itself was very clean , light & airy & we felt like we were in the Mediterranean .Lastly the food was excellent, we both had filet steak & it was cooked to perfection.Well done to all at Valentino's.

This was our first visit to Valentino’s - and certainly will not be the last! The food was of excellent quality and plentiful. What particularly stood out was the quality of your staff. They were engaging, personable and humorous and helped make the evening special for all for of us. Well done to you and well done to them.

Visiting friends nearby, went there on Sunday at 4pm. Great food, service, value and atmosphere. We would definitely go again when we are next in the area

A very welcoming restaurant with a great location, ple ty of parking nearby and all the team are very friendly and personable. Food: The food is fantastic and very well priced. All dishes seem to complement each other. Extremely tasty and portions are just the right size. The restaurant: Set on the main street in Scissett in a building dating back to 1909, the restaurant looks fantastic. It's clean, well presented and has a lively buzz of delighted patrons enjoying their meals and conversation. Good points: Great restaurant, great atmosphere, great location, exquisite food, great pricing, exceptional service. Suggestion for the restaurant. Dim the lights a little to create a cosier atmosphere. Don't rush to bring out the next course, some people enjoy those few minutes between courses for a drink, a small break, even some fresh air 😉 All in all, an enjoyable evening with great food in a great restaurant

Had a lovely meal with my hubby granddaughters, daughter and her partner. Staff were excellent. Been before and never been disappointed.

Took our daughter here for a celebration for doing really well at school. Delicious food, excellent service, value for money. We will definitely return it’s our new favourite restaurant in the Huddersfield area. Can’t believe we haven’t been here before.

Tried this on spec as we were meeting friends after an event in the area. Really surprised how good the food was, especially on a Sunday afternoon when nothing else is open.

Went last night, first visit ever to this restaurant as a party of 6 (normally we are regulars at Grappolo in Huddersfield) and will definitely be returning. Food was lovely but a much nicer quieter atmosphere and staff were amazing

I've visited this restaurant a few times now & it never fails.. The food is excellent, the service is excellent & staff are friendly, attentive & nothing, is too much trouble for them.. I really can't fault it..!

Lovely meal here, presentation of food was amazing! Staff pleasant and attentive and great value for money. Only downside was no beer on draft and very limited wine choice by the glass. Definitely recommended though and we will return

Lovely restaurant! All had a nice meal including a nice gluten free carbonara - all pasta dishes could be made gluten free with GF penne pasta. Beautifully presented puddings. Staff were all very friendly.

Excellent as always… Family meal, 10 guests on a Friday evening, fantastic food, brilliant service. We all had a varied range of starters, mains and deserts and every course was brilliant. So lucky to have this gorgeous Italian on our doorstep. We will be back soon.

Deserts are amazing and very creative - the Tiramisu is exceptional. Friendly and entertaining waitpersons. The food quality is outstanding.

We have been a few times but seem to always leave disappointed. It’s not bad but it’s not great either. Food always bland and plates over garnished.

We had a delicious meal. The risotto was delicious and I'm assured the lasagne was outstanding. The staff are lovely people and the surroundings plush. Highly recommended

Great food and friendly staff. Only downside, no disabled toilets or toilets on the same level of restaurant, not recommended unless you can use stairs and not disabled.

We live so close to this place and went for my wife's birthday last night the staff and food was absolutely spot on thankyou for a lovely meal

I found the food to be pretty average , I ordered the chicken with ricotta in a red wine sauce there was no red wine sauce ?! It appeared to be like a very thin cold gravy like substance. We also felt on edge as the waitresses were clearly talking about us. The actual restaurant itself is really well presented and I maybe would return but not in any rush.

Really enjoyed our meal tonight at Valentinos. Fabulous food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended

Excellent meal for my husband's 72nd birthday went with friends and we all enjoyed the delicious food, lovely presentation, good variety and ample portions, friendly staff in a beautiful setting, and they gave my husband an extra bottle of the red wine that we had enjoyed with the celebration meal as we left. Can throughly recommend - shame we don't live nearby as would love to eat here again, but we were here on a short break .

Manager seemed too intent on hotboxing his car with his watermelon blast vape than actually providing a service to his customers.

Booked here for early Saturday evening, not familiar with the place or the area so impressed how good the interior of the restaurant was. A good selection of starters and mains on a Specials board on the table, in addition to the normal menu selection. 2of us ordered starters, prawns in a cream sauce and the ribs - both very good. For main I had the duck in orange sauce which tasted superb and was a very plentiful portion of duck. All the others on the table enjoyed their mains (pizza, cannelloni and chicken) and we even had some left to take home. The desserts were just as good as the mains and really looked great. I had the torta della nonna (lemon tart) which tasted as good as it looked (see photo). I would definitely recommend this place and will visit again if in the area.

I grew up just around the corner from this place when it used to be the village community centre and cinema. Last minute decision to go when visiting my elderly Dad. All a bit surreal but it was genuinely excellent. We had a vegan and a vegetarian with us and all were accommodated with ease and no fuss, as were the meat eaters. The pizza pasta and risotto were all excellent as were the deserts. I managed to leave my phone and returned 20 minutes later after closing time. But the staff were sitting waiting for me. Excellent meal and service with a it of personal nostalgia thrown in.

This is a fantastic restaurant, I have allergies and they are so on the ball, everything from starters to desserts and coffees are fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. Love going here (been twice this week whoops 😂)

Lovely evening for my friend’s birthday. We were completely spoilt by Aamir who kindly set up our table with balloons I took in 24 hours earlier!! The food was plentiful & delicious! The staff are smiley and attentive. Aamir is the perfect host and certainly goes out of his way to ensure a wonderful time is had by all.

Took daughter out for a meal. A quiet Tuesday night. The place was doing OK. We had a nice table. Attentive waiting staff. Fine food and very pleasant evening. Well worth a try.

Generally a good little place but I have to say putting chicken pieces / slices on a vegetarian (mushroom) pizza wasn't good.... pay attention guys... and not the waiter at fault because he clearly wrote down what we ordered and repeated it before going to the kitchen... would have been nice to see the chef coming over to check all was ok and apologise....

Superb food, service and quality of decor etc, a real taste of Italy…. From the wine from Bardolino to the amazing garlic bread - the complimentary bread as we arrived was stunning. It was all just lovely and a great atmosphere- what a good find this restaurant is. Cannot understand anyone not appreciating the quality and value. The bread and how was served was superb!!

When we arrived we were impressed with the look of the restaurant and speedily shown to our table. Bread and butter was prsented to us and ordered drimks. Good we thought. I ordered my starter calamari which looked OK but took well over half an hour to arrive. It was heavily battered (tasted like chip shop batter) and rather tough. Main course arrived, my wife had spaghetti marinara and I had a risotto gamberi. They were both well presented. Hers was badly cooked meaning some seafood was great and others rubbery and like bullets. My risotto was OK to start with but there was way too much seasoning for my taste. I did suggest she send it back but after an hour snd a half we just wantd to leave. A really disappointing meal out for a special occasion.

Absolutely fabulous, just called in for a last minute meeting with friends, didnt have time to try the full menu but started with a negroni ,Italian aperitif not on the menu but good enough to make one up for us, then we shared a garlic pizza, so tasty looked amazing full of garlic and a taste of pesto, of all the Italian restaurants I've visited this must be the best, the four of us then had a selection of pasta dishes equally as enjoyable, two nice bottles of wine and coffees end a really nice night, would recommend it to anyone to try and so looking forward to going back with plenty of time to spare and sampling to full menu, 10/10

The manager was very polite and the staff were very welcoming. The desserts are out of this world! The presentation of the cheesecake was extraordinary and it tasted even better. The strawberries were fresh, sweet and juicy even though we are in the cold months of December. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back with my family and friends!

WOW ! I cannot recommend Valentino’s enough ! 14 of us visited for our Xmas day family dinner . Our party ranged from aged 3 to 85 and all our needs were superbly met. They went above and beyond to give all of us what we wanted and even made the kids garlic pizza and spaghetti bolognaise which was not on the Xmas day menu. The food could not have nicer and the service was absolutely excellent ! Thank you to all of you - you made our Xmas day so special ❤️

I was looking forward to this place, I had The mozzarella deep fried starter, it was cold and it had solidified. I ordered the chicken wrapped in bacon with ricotta cheese, it was so dry that the ricotta came out as a crumble, and the chicken was hard to swollow. I asked my partner to try it and he said it was awful. The waiter was excellent and I cannot fault the people working there but the food was horrible

Food was beautiful, all 5 of us agreed. service fantastic. I think aziz was looking after us. He was very attentive, had a laugh with us and really made the experience for us. Will definitely be returning!

An unexpected treasure of a find! Courteous service, delicious food that went well beyond the standard pizza-and-pasta offerings of most Italian restaurants and beautifully presented, very tasty desserts.

Visiting in the area again, this place always has great Italian food and wine. We as a family all had a share of great tasty Italian pizzas, ravioli and tortellini dishes. Amazing mozzarella with tomato caprese salad. Desserts here are so pretty and I definitely recommend this restaurant!

This place used to be good but we went for the first since since Covid tonight and the food was not fit to eat. Frozen prawns with no taste. Complete waste of money

October 2021. Really terrible food, especially the risotto and steak. Most staff didn’t look happy and were just rushed. Pretty pricey. Quite a small restaurant on a busy road so parking can be an issue. Really would avoid this. The management don’t seem to be able to handle any criticism, and get very aggressive and defensive. A weird uncomfortable atmosphere. AVOID
