Amazing one of the best 4 cheese pizzas I’ve ever had, Lily our waitress was lovely and managed to find us a table on a super busy evening. Good value, cash only and no licence so bring a bottle if you want a drink. We'll be back.

Our seating was a little delayed but we enjoyed the beer next door and when we ate the meal was amazing and the service was very accommodating.

We went to dine to Da Mario after someone in our hotel suggested it, Never again! Staff is super rude, not a smile! We waited 20 minutes or so only for the menu, people that came after us was served before us, pizza was burned completely underneath, we ordered a drink but it was never delivered because the waitress forgot ( but she remembered to add it in the bill). No alcohol licence but charge people £4 for bringing their own bottle of wine it's a rip off. The bill's total was scribbled on a piece of paper and the cherry on the cake is that they don't accept cards payment.

Great, authentic Italian pizza. Service is ok depending on the staff, I am sure it gets busy and stressful at the the restaurant but customer is king ;-) Atmosphere is cosy and there is seating outside. Prices are a little high for pizza. However I would recommend this place to eat in or takeaway.

Ordered take away pizzas from this restaurant - ordered in advance and they were ready when we arrived to collect. Lovely pizzas but could have been cut up into smaller slices as difficult to handle out of a box

Pizza was burnt. Black, left black stuff in my mouth making my mouth and throat taste of charcoal. Pizza also raw inside?? The prices was 16 pounds, really won't be going back or recommending.

This is another fantastic pizza place. Went a couple of weeks ago. They kindly squeezed us in as they were fully booked. You can bring your own wine. The sourdough base was delicious as was the fresh mozzarella and rich tomato. Make sure you book!!!

Was planning to buy Pintoh Thong Thai but couldn’t wait for the opening and 1 of my fav. Anyway couldn’t be bothered to walk to Koh Thai as I was sleepy. Th pizza is that good that I was woken up and enjoyed it with a good cold Asahi beer. The leafy salad was just as good. No cutleries for take away which was the only downside as I was staying in the nearby Premier Inn.

Brilliant place to eat with a good atmosphere. The food is 5*, pizzas are tasty and authentic. Deserts are yummy. Service was great. Bring your own drink is pretty easy, with Coop around the corner. Would definitely be going back again

After finding our hotel had no tables left for evening meal and not wanting to drive, we googled local restaurants and Da Mario was less than 5 mins walk from hotel. Da Mario is off the tourist track, which meant it was very busy with locals celebrating special occasions - always a good sign! It was busy so they asked to wait for a table. We were sat within approximately 10 minutes. It's very small inside so we were originally seated next a big birthday party then after a few minutes moved to a another table not so near the party. Menu is limited to pizzas for mains, rather than an array of other Italian dishes. However, the kitchen is small so not much room for other options and why deviate from what you're good at?! The pizzas were very good, with generous toppings and crispy bottoms (no-one wants a soggy bottom!). In summary, an excellent, independent, local pizzeria which is well worth a visit. Please note, no alcohol licence but you can bring your own for a corkage fee and also cash only.

Pizza was delicious but expensive, £22! Although I did request burrata be added so perhaps that was costly. Cash only is a little irritating when you don't carry it, its bouncing down with rain & then have to walk round to co-op cash point

I ordered a take away pizza via UberEats. Came to collect while walking my dog. Went inside to ask if my order was ready, the waitress gave me the most ‘annoying’ face expression because I had my dog with me. I walked out as o wasn’t welcomed at all nice. When the waitress came outside to ask me what I wanted, she did sound rude. Not what you expect from a place that has got lots of good reviews. Working myself in hospitality I understand how important to be customer service oriented. Pizza was delicious. Service - not impressed!

One of the best pizzas we've eaten so far! Very nice, attentive staff who offered us dessert and espresso on the house & very quick service! The prices are relatively high but the food was worth the price!

Awesome pizza place - great choice. Walk on only, no bookings, and also no card, cash only. Also no alcohol served, but you can bring your own and pay £4 corkage. Parking on the road was tricky, but there's a small car park just around the corner by the co-op. Highly recommend.

Known as uk’s no.1 pizza🍕 Tasty and irresistible wood fire pizza, we ordered prawns and italia pizza, the starter is a bit too small, but pizza is really amazing. The pizza dough was thin and chewy. Highly recommend.

The calzone and pizzas are delicious and the service is excellent. The staff are wonderful at accommodating their customers and the food is fresh and comes out in a timely manner.

Ordered last night on deliveroo, order took well over an hour and both pizzas arrived stone cold, the driver dropped our dip on the floor as well to top it off. Luckily got a full refund. Given 4 stars because all of the other times we have ordered the pizza has been great and we’ve enjoyed it. Supposedly the best in the area. Not sure what happened last night but I’d recommend eating in when the pizza is hot and fresh rather than delivering.

Absolutely first class pizzeria. Pizza dough was perfect, with lots of choice on toppings. Although it was busy , service was amazing on our table of 12 people. BYO for drinks too.

So glad I booked dinner here. Best pizza I've eaten in a long time..I didn't think I would be able to fit it all in but I wasn't going to leave any! Didn't realise it was cash only and bring your own bottle of alcohol, but luckily cash point round the corner and made a nice change to have a non alcoholic drink. Will visit again when I'm next down x

Best pizza in Dorset, me and my boyfriend come at least once a month and will never stop coming. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the venue is beautiful and the food is sensational. I recommend the parmigiana de melanzane and the da mario pizza too. Perfection.

What a fantastic quirky restaurant, from start to finish the staff were very attentive, welcoming, and professional. Then the food came which matched how the staff were perfect amount of topping well cooked and very tasty would absolutely recommend this great restaurant to anyone i know 🤌🏼

Ordered Da Mario tonight via Uber eats who royally messed up, however Da Mario saved the day and went above and beyond with their service. Food arrived in the end and it’s amazing! They really great service and Sam was super helpful.

Had an excellent impromptu meal with my mother, It was a Friday night, we hadn’t booked and we just walked in on the off chance. The place was packed, but the staff still accommodated us, the service and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

If I could give 0 I would... Gosh awful... I also write it in Italian rather avoid ordering from the alley or pizzeria in Rome, unfortunately it was closed this evening. Also tiramisu is awful...

This is a really great little pizzeria. The pizza is made with homemade dough and is the lightest we ever had. I had a well-topped quattro stagione and my wife had a diavolo. Both were delicious and we will definitely come back again. The atmosphere is cafe-style but cozy. 2 important points: it's cash only, and bring your own bottle.

Had a take away here two nights in a row, great staff, great food, even when they were busier it was just as nice.

Their online menu 'quoted' a price of £17.90 for ONE pizza. When I phoned and ordered the pizza for collection I was quoted over £22. I was told 'our prices have increased'. By law, u can only charge the price advertised. Yes, the pizza was tasty and authentic but I will NEVER pay that much for a pizza ever again and will NOT be ordering from Demarios ever again!

A small inauspicious restaurant from the outside, that makes homemade pizzas & just lasagna as an option (if you don’t like pizza) You need to prebook as it’s quite small inside. I was part of a large group. Pizza’s were all a good size & tasty. Mine somehow ended up with a double helping of parmesan cheese which made the flavour far too strong. Things you need to know; They only take cash 💁‍♀️ You can take your own booze, a small corkage free applies.

We had delivery. Absolutely lovely food. Authentic Italian. Great pizza and bruschetta my new go to Italian.

We have been coming here for more than a year . The pizzas have always been amazing. It’s not a Fiat, not a Maserati or a Lamborghini the Pizzas here are like…..Ferrari! Fire,Passion and Love! Napoli style pizza done great.

We are regular customers of this very unique and special Italian restaurant, tonight's food was no exception. The pizza is so authentic and the ingredients are so good that I honestly believe that if you took it to Napoli and gait to a local they would swear that it was made there and not in Bournemouth...as always a big thank you to everyone at de Mario's, the only true pizza in bournemouth.

I've never encountered such an unloved prepared pizza in my life. 2 little pieces of buffalo mozzarella, 1 ham, 3 pieces of salami, normal mozzarella and 1 leaf of Basil and for this I paid 18.90£ (GF base alone they charge 3.95). Ordered via deliveroo. Taste was okay, a bit oily/greasy though the pizza in comparison to other pizzas. Definitely not the best pizza I ever had and price vs quality wasn't worth to order from here again. It's a shame because I thought this is a good restaurant.

We asked them if they could open a branch closer to home since we're only here for the holiday season. The food was amazing and everyone was very friendly. Only downside was that it is a slightly noisy place. Also remember to bring cash because they can't accept card payments.

Lovely visit here whilst staying at The Laguna Hotel and would highly recommend it. The fact that the restaurant was full on a Monday night says it all. We had calzones, pizzas, salad and ice cream. All the dishes were delicious. Great service and nice to see the chefs a work in the open kitchen. Lovely from start to finish.

FANTASTIC PIZZA 🍕 I recommend the white base pizza (custom toppings on this occasion) and without doubt the anti pasta board for starters 🙌🏻 A special mention to the kids butterfly pizza, fun and creative for the little ones

This is a small family run restaurant, that mainly does takeaways. A good quality dough is produced and base. However, the quality of ingredients at times leaves something to be desired, the olives were very poor. I also think more attention needs to be paid to how even the ingredients are spread on the pizza. Overall this is a good pizza and better than chain restaurants, however it can do better and should be more ambitious.

When we arrived we felt we had no time to choose our food. !! An hurried. When we were waiting the waitress was arguing with the chef cooking our pizzas which were really tasty. They have no drink licence an charge if you bring your own wine.!! I asked for extra salad an felt this was not right. Plus the toilets are not on the ground floor. Apart from the lovely food an good menu. We will not be going again. Shame.

Love this little place just up the road from where I was staying. Not normally a pizza person but these pizzas here are awesome and staff so welcoming.

Without a doubt the highlight of my summer is a trip to the seaside in Bournemouth. But I don't go for the sea, I go so I can visit DA MARIO PIZZERIA and sample their mind blowing food! I tend to order the Margherita DOP - see the attached photo I took. It makes my tastebuds do backflips and there's simply nothing else as good anywhere in the UK. If you don't live in the area THIS restaurant is the perfect reason to visit. I can't wait until next year! Shawn Tracey

Went yesterday afternoon. Pizza's were great and side salad was very tasty. The waitress was very abrupt, didn't give you time to look at menu properly. There is no licence for sale of alcohol, which we didn't know until we got there, and can only pay by cash, which was not mentioned until bill came to table. So will not be going back.

Been meaning to write a review for a couple of weeks. Shame but felt I needed too been using this restaurant for years great food no complaints there. But the customer service was dreadful from taking my order to collection. The attitude of the staff was just rude. My money (cash only no receipt given) literally was snatched out of hand no change given! If they continue to treat their customer like this they will not come back.

We live in Cheshire and holiday in Bournemouth/Poole every year. I have eaten and do eat a lot of pizza in and around Manchester etc but I can honestly say this place is quite possible some of the best pizza if not the best pizza I have had to date. It’s says a lot when all you need is a cheese pizza, the dough is beautiful and the cooking is perfect. Will make a pilgrimage here each time we are in the area.

Da Mario is the greatest Pizza restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at (at least 18 times). It is an energetic, friendly, family run establishment which provides authentic Italian DOP quality food for all that go. Their garlic bread special and Vusivio Pizza are the stuff of dreams. 10/10 recommend. Great staff and hospitality!

Literally one of the best pizzas i had so far. The place is a little small which makes it really hard to find a table if u dont come when the place opens. But its great service and amazing food! The prices are def worth it! Will definitely come there again whenever i visit Bournemouth!
