Great service from charming staff. After I ordered, it turned out my steak had sold out, so they upgraded it for free. Food is five stars when judged in the mid-tier price range. My steak was perfectly cooked, and everything else was decent or very nice. No complaints.

We ate here on a Sunday afternoon. The food was amazing, really testy and freshly prepared. The main man was so entertaining, and even sang happy birthday to our 20 year old son for maximum embarrassment - it was fantastic. We will definitely go back soon.

Booked a table for me and my friends to celebrate my 30th birthday and my first night out as a new mum! We were a bit nervous as we know it is a very nice and sophisticated environment and we were in fancy dress, but thankfully none of the staff made us feel the slightest bit awkward! We were greeted warmly and the service was quick and efficient. There was no long wait for our food at all, which is amazing considering how delicious the food is. Two of us had risotto dishes, one the spinach cannelloni and the other a pizza and we all loved our food. The portion sizes are great as so many places now a days give you such small portions for the price but this is good value for money! We also had a bottle of the house white which was very nice. To top it all off, they brought out some cake and sang to me for my birthday. It was absolutely delicious with chocolate shavings, sauce, strawberries and cream. Can’t wait to book here again!

Visited Ristorante Barolo for my stepdad’s 60th birthday and had the most amazing time. The service, food and atmosphere was 10/10. They made us all feel so special and the happy birthday song was lovely. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area and great for families too. Very friendly local Italian restaurant. Open all day and always busy - and you can see why. Hearty wholesome food with engaging and friendly staff, good wine... What's not to like?

Service was great. Great atmosphere too…. Take away the bottle of wine, I ordered £90 worth of food. Prawns and avocado was as if it had been opened from a packet and dumped on a plate. No flavor. Mushrooms in sauce, again, so bland… I spent £40 on a fillet steak and sides… band average to say the least. Not normally one to leave bad reviews but felt I got let down massively here.

we were visiting for a few nights from wales and booked here because of the reviews, we loved it so much we cancelled our other booking later in the week and came back! beautiful food and amazing service! the staff could not be friendlier and more accommodating!!

Very impressed with the quality and speed of service and the food is great. Prices are inthe mid-range and the selection is vast and there is something there for everyone. The staff and management go that little extra to make your experience memorable, but the noise of this crowded restaurant does detract from your enjoyment of the experience. A few sound absorbing panels would be of great benefit.

We found this restaurant by chance and what a find!! The food (Tiger prawns, garlic mushrooms, pizza and a chicken pasta dish) were delicious, couldn't fault it. We had 2 waitresses serve us, Andrea and I didn't get the name of the other lady but they were superb, very attentive and pleasant. We were actually asked if we were ready for our main course, we have never been asked this before! Our normal experience is the starter being whipped away and the mains plonked in front of you and it's always a rush to get you out, but not here, there was no pressure to eat up quickly. Nice atmosphere, can't wait to go back, would recommend 100%. Very reasonable costs considering the excellent food and service. Thank you all very much.

Food was tastless and extremely oily. Service was good. Atmosphere not appropriate for a restaurant- too loud and too dark-gives vibe of a bar. Could not even hear my partner sitting in front of me because all the tables are put so close to each other.

A very busy established restaurant in the heart of Winton. Very much caters for celebratory events as it has aot of space inside, some seating on the pavement outside too. Food is good, service too and staff are friendly.

A very friendly welcome by waitress then taken to our table. The menu was quite comprehensive so took us a little time to make up our minds. When we were ready we were served without the usual wait. We ordered seafood dishes which were so tasty and went down well with a recommended wine from the patron Sam. Spoiled for choice with the desert . Superb service throughout, great atmosphere overall which combined to make our evening a happy occasion. This is a rather special place and well worth giving it a try.

Honestly, one of my top 3 places to eat in Bournemouth.. A small family run restaurant that we've never had a bad meal from.. ever! The staff are all really welcoming, the menu is wide, the food is always sublime, the larger is crisp & birthdays are a real Treat at Barolo's! And if you don't fancy getting dressed up to go out to eat, they do take away and in-house delivery via phone or their website. Can't recommend them enough 👌🏼

I felt compelled to write this review after having such a superb dinner experience last night at Barolo's. I ate with some friends and we were all equally impressed. The food was high quality and the food and drink served with finesse by the waiting staff. I don't normally really notice service levels but the staff in this place really do know how to look after guests, we all said how polite and focused on our experience they were. The entire venue, including the toilets, is immaculate, spotlessly clean. For birthdays the staff sing a Tony from Lady and the Tramp style Happy Birthday which adds a sense of occasion even when it's other people's birthday!! I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

We love this place. Live in Plymouth, but every time we visit Bournemouth Barolo is a must. Lasagne is as good as it gets. Steaks succulent. Service top notch (sooo friendly and accommodating). Restaurant and toilets immaculate. Repeat … we LOVE this place .. and you will too !!!

We have been here on 4 occasions. Went here on my birthday in December and has always, the food was just divine. Lasagne was perfectly cooked, and the size of the portions is always large, the chicken dishes are really something else, and the way they but together makes them look like peace of art.service very attentive, always asking and checking, making sure you're enjoying the experience. Thanks guys, this is my favourite itialan.

One of the best restaurants I have been to with exceptional service. Visited during an anniversary date, we were greeted with formally friendly pleasantries by the staff and asked what the occasion was. Upon being seated, we were served breadstick appetisers whilst waiting for our food to arrive. Finishing our meal, the waiter asked if we had room for dessert, to which we politely declined. To our surprise, he came back with a slice of cake with candles, accompanied by the manager and other waiters/waitresses singing and wishing a happy anniversary! The atmosphere was soothing, elegantly positioned decor, and relaxing background music. We will definitely come back again! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable time.

Marvellous Italian Restaurant with great menu and attentive staff

Been a couple of times. As others have said it’s very noisy restaurant so you will need to shout if you want to have a conversation. Pizzas are nice to be fair but unfortunately this time I chose lasagna which was truly terrible. As another reviewer commented it is absolutely swimming in tomato sauce, no mince hardly and no white sauce/cheese whatsoever. Extremely acidic and what tiny bit I ate made me very ill so would definitely avoid that. Think the chef needs to google a good lasagna recipe as he clearly has no idea! Won’t be going back.

Everything was great but could do with a request box. As wanted olives removed from pizza but no way of requesting this.

Quick and attentive service despite serving 5 birthday parties (for which they all got a happy birthday sung operatically by the waiters) in the time we were there. Food was great value but for the money but it's obviously not the best Italian food you'll ever have

Becoming a ‘novelty’ birthday restaurant, poor food & overpriced. Went with friends but every 10 minutes evening interrupted by really loud singing of ‘happy birthday’ at every table around us! Makes me sound like a grump but honestly I think that’s the only reason this restaurant is so popular- the food is WAY overpriced with small portions & overcooked pasta, don’t go if you want a reasonably priced tasty meal & chat/laugh with mates! The waiters are friendly & service I’d good, decor nice. But too raucous for us - Will stick to Bellagio in future

Haven’t had the opportunity in dining in this restaurant as of yet however the takeaways are consistently amazing! You can tell the food is made to order, always fresh, large portions which is nice to see and just overall good quality food. The delivery drivers are always extremely friendly too which goes a long way.

Great staff but the food was really average and the Bolognese and lasagna was flooded with tomato and no mince.. We found it very over priced and wouldnt reccommend it based on this visit. Sad as this was a birthday meal which fell a bit flat with the food...

Always nice food but £44.50 for two pastas and a garlic bread (takeaway) seems unnecessarily expensive. If people decide not to eaten this should be reflected in the price, especially if you pay extra for delivery.

Really nice place, welcoming, friendly staff and food to die for, had the tiger prawns then a pizza to follow, the rest is boxed for a midnight snack! The menu is varied and should suit everone, think we will be back for a steak sometime.

Visiting Bournemouth and used the online order service on the eve of 2nd June as this restaurant came highly recommended. I was not disappointed at all. The order was processed very quickly and a courtesy call to double check the items. Big portions and a really tasty meal. The extra adding of salad cream pots and parmesan were really appreciated. I have ordered from many places who forget these small condiment touches. A lovely, quick service. Really pleased. Thank you so much.
