Amazing experience, best pizzeria in Bournemouth!!!

Lovely pizza and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Came down from London and wanted to eat here before a gig at the O2. We were running late and the restaurant happily moved our reservation over the phone. Starters were fantastic and the mains were even more superb. We all really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was pleasant. Our waitress was super friendly and the bill was exceptionally reasonable for what we had with drinks as well. Will definitely come back here if I’m down again

Absolutely outstanding takeaway pizza, my wife and i really enjoyed! Looking for a quick takeaway, we spotted the menu on the window. I'm glad I asked if they do takeaway as that pizza was absolutely supreme - 100% recommend.

Nipped in for dinner pre-gig at the nearby O2, staff were very friendly and accommodating, professional and happy. The menu is vast with loads of great dishes. GF catered for (not a guarantee with independent Italian restaurants) and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Took my kids here last night as my daughter wanted meatballs, whilst we were in Bournemouth on holiday. Had a nice meal. Kids portions were good size and reasonable price. Place was clean and service was great (which is very unusual). Hence 5 stars… foot was good too and there was a good selection of drinks…

Great atmosphere and excellent service. Pleasant and friendly staff. But the food was really next level !!! Simply amazing! One of the best, if not the best pizza I ever had. It felt like I was in Italy, but with more relaxed atmosphere. We even customised our toppings. So almost anything can be vegetarian if need be. I can not find words that would prase my experience in "Via Roma"! I wish that I live closer so that I can visit more often.

Just moved into area so thought we would check out the local Italian. Overall was disappointing. For starter my husband and I shared the mixed fish starter which had 2 shell on prawns, some whitebait and calamari. Whitebait was nice, however calamari was very overcooked and chewy. Son had the meatball starter which he was disappointed with and has had better. For mains two of us had ribeye steaks.. These come with roast potatoes and vegetables. The potatoes came out very pale, certainly not roasted and the vegetables were cold and underwhelming. I had to complain about the temperature of vegetables and they brought some fresh ones out which were certainly hotter but the potatoes were still just like boiled potatoes. Steak was cooked well. Overall disappointing and underwhelming food. The bill came to £105 with a bottle of wine so not cheap. No complimentary drink at end of meal despite how much we spent. Wont be returning and will have to find another local Italian place to eat.

What a gem! We went in without planning ahead and we are glad we found this spot. Excellent pasta (tried linguine alle vongole), great pizza. Reasonable prices. Ran by real Italians. Very friendly atmosphere, and the owner tolerated our attempts at speaking Italian. Finally, if you're a fan of digestivi, they have a reasonable selection of amari (Averna, Ramazzotti, Unicum, Cynar). Will certainly come back any time we're in Bournemouth/Boscombe.

Really good service. The starters and meals were served well and cooked to perfection. We had a plentiful bowl of olives while we waited for our freshly cooked starters of meatballs and calamari which was excellent. This was followed by lasagne and chicken in a mushroom sauce all piping hot and delicious. Table service was very attentive and we left happy. Will be back soon, thank you.

Popped in here with a friend on our way to the academy. Even early doors the atmosphere was great the staff were very friendly. The menu was very good and the food was great. We had a shared starter and main courses washed down with a bottle of red wine. Good value for money all round great experience

Ordered over the phone and paid on collection. Was ready when they said it would be. Reasonable price, good quality pizza. Nice thin base so you don't get stuffed on dough. Not greasy. Good flavour. Would recommend!

Walked in with a friend for lunch and already felt unwelcome as we weren’t greeted. as I sat down I took off my coat as it was warm inside, I was immediately told that I had to put my jacket back on. I was wearing a crop top like half the other people there. I hope the staff learn to grow up and stop objectifying women, as this ultimately made me feel really really uncomfortable so we left immediately. It’s a shame as I’m sure the food would have been lovely.

Good pizza. Thin base with a lot of flavour in the dough and you can actually taste the tomatoes in the sauce, it's not overpowered by tomato paste. If I have one complaint it's that the olives are whole. One was able to slip out from under my fork and land on me. My fault but I wish that olive was halved. Latte I had was good also. Staff were attentive and friendly. Quiet and moody, almost romantic, but it's a little too darkly lit on the interior for my liking though.

I ate here last week with an old friend. Although I had booked and the restaurant was not at all full, we were offered a cramped table next to a noisy party, which we declined. The only other option offered was another tiny table up against the bar, which we took. Service was acceptable. My pasta was described as having a tomato cream sauce, but it was actually dry, and the pasta overcooked. A disappointing evening.

I ordered a take away from here and it was delicious, really tasty food, would definitely order again, or eat here! Thank you :)

Great local Italian restaurant. Staff are very friendly and take orders quickly. Food arrived fast and was impeccable, the prices are also very reasonable, couldn't reccomend this place enough! Pizza and Focaccia are especially delicious!

Friendly and relaxed service always creates a comfortable atmosphere in here, the food was excellent. I’ve eaten here a few times recently and it’s consistently this good.

Lovely staff but the food quality is very very poor I ordered carbonara it came like a soup before that had a sea food starter where there should be prawns it came with withe bait and calamari and 1 prawn over cooked my daughter loves pasta she had Bolognese which was disgusting she had a bite and left it and she loves to eat

Visiting from Essex, we had sharing platter for two to start, seafood pizza and seafood risotto followed by tiramisu, the food was amazing and the staff were lovely, I would definitely go here again

Put pizza express and all the other gaffs on the first express train out of here... if you want a light, melt in your mouth base - with a crispy crust and any topping you want cooked to perfection that doesn't make you think you won't eat for a week afterwards - or descend into your overdraft then look no further! Case rested 👍 🍕

Little Gem in Boscombe. If you are in the araa perhaps going to the O2, well worth a visit. Lovely food and friendly staff.

This is a little gem of a place. We booked for dinner as it’s close to the O2 Academy, which is where we were going afterwards. Friendly welcome and lovely service with a cosy, authentic atmosphere. Food was spot-on too. Thoroughly recommended.

Following good reviews we decided to celebrate my 40th birthday at Pizzeria Via Roma. Clean restaurant with very nice decor and lovely atmosphere. Me, my husband and kids had all nice time. Our mains came to table hot and delicious. Service was friendly and professional. Thank you!

Great food, too much to eat, so I had to leave some ... compliments to the chef though. Good service.

We were early to dinner so it was quiet when we arrived. So the atmisphere was a bit flat. But it picked up losds later as service hit into full swing. The food and service are excellent. I ordered their house pizza which was as authentic as I have had outside of Italy. The decor is great fun with fiat body parts decorating parts of the walls an very carefully curated lighting and artwork giving this place a great feel. It's a fantastic restaurant. Highly reccomended.

Amazing vegeterian pizza and seafood linguine. One of the best Italian I have been in the UK and it is value for money. It was a busy place but the owner will find time to speak with you. Will definitely come back again. Gracias.

We walked in and this place is a real gem! The food is absolutely delicious, the size of the portions is decent and is great value for money. The staff are so welcoming, patient and accommodating. Anything you’d chose will be a great choice.

Had Sunday Lunch. Service was 10/10 and the best Italian food we’ve had in Bournemouth..and we’ve had a lot! Cocktails were great too. Highly recommend a visit!

Have called this place a couple of times when out in Boscombe..we say we'll pick it up in 20 mins or whenever the time and they make the pizzas fresh out of the oven and then we pick them up..great service and quality pizzas at a decent price 😋

The food is awful, doesn’t have a taste at all. They use very low quality cheese which make food tasteless and plastic. Left disappointed and starving.

Really nice local family restaurant. Food is good, not spectacular, but great value for a nice low-key meal. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, and the decor and ambience were a cut above most of the strip.

We have been coming to Via Roma for a long time. Used recently for a group gathering in the beach with a big order of 20 pizzas and sides. All prepared on time and tasted awesome . Customer service was amazing from the whole team. Wishing the new management the best for the years to come. Matt

I adore the pizza and the atmosphere and the friendly stuff and the the owners are soo cool <3 Can not wait to go back to eat my favourite salamino pizza with a cold glass of a fine wine. Worth mentioning it's so fairly price for what you are getting. Simply the best pizza in town. Come in and find out for yourself, you won't be disappointed <3

Use to be good but sadly it’s went down the hill. The food doesn’t have any taste very very bland I barely use salt! in food due to wife’s high blood pressure. but had to ask for salt to see if it can enhance any flavour but sadly it upset our stomach and this experience put off my wife and kid to go for any Italian place

We are local so have been at the restaurant regularly. The food alweys is outstanding but in last few times the lady owner seems a bit unsteady on her feet. I am not j saying she was under influence as she might be unwell. She actually coughed a lot and had a cold which made me so uncomfortable to the point I don't want to go back there. I even notice a chap who as soos as the lady coughed left the restaurant quicker than he walked in. Such shame as the food is amazing. Unfortunately, restaurant without outstanding service is just average or even poor experience.

If anyone wants to enjoy real pizza this is the place!! Pizzas are just perfect! Music in the background was rather anoying, tho...

We visiting Boscombe for a concert and booked this restraint as it was close by. My partner and I both had different pizzas and I must say service and food was excellent although I did agree with another reviewer that the music was a little loud. Definitely come back here again as we are frequently in the area.

Been here few times in the past 2 months and ordered pizzas as take away as well as eating in ,, the pizza is just to good ,, the flavours are amazing, a taste of Italy with fresh basil and the drizzle of olive oil that makes it just perfect. And the pizza dough is soft as a brioche.. amazing I’m half Italian and been in Italy many times, but even in Italy is very hard to find a good pizza like this at Via Roma …. Thanks we will comeback for more..

Totally unexpected find in Boscombe food to die for, atmosphere to live for and hosts to return for. I can not rate this restaurant experience highly enough from the moment you phone in to book a table - you enter the family environment of Eat Pray Love Italy I’ll be back for more Bravo Bellissimo

By far one of the best Italians around amazing place

Came here for a date one year later with my partner, same date and place, one year later. Last year and the few occasions in between I always had a lovely meal and service in Pizzeria via Roma. Food was delicious and I kept wanting to go back but this time I am left very disappointed. I booked a table for Friday 20:30 (not knowing the restaurant opening times but assumed this would be fine) the lady booked us in with absolutely no problems. Once we arrived we were greeted well and sat in the same spot we did last year. The lady took our order some time later so we did wait a little for that but that was fine. We got delicious starters. As our mains came out it was around 9pm, I saw the lady come and change the ‘open’ to closed sign so I thought oh that’s interesting, and checked they closed at 9:30! We had quite a lot of food left and only just got our mains. (Ps I’m a slow eater!!) the restaurant wasn’t busy but we had booked for this time so we didn’t want to cut this too short and unenjoyable. A lady came over to us to ask if we had finished even though we clearly didn’t so we politely said sorry not just yet. The music then played loudly then quietly, songs were played 3x on repeat, ads were played- all of this a little frustrating.. we did still cut our meal short and my partner went to pay at 9:45 (1.15 Hr in total we stayed for a starter and main with wait times inbetween, I definitely don’t think that’s long enough) The lady by the counter turned to my partner and said ‘there is a 10% service charge added to the bill which you have to pay, but you can also pay the people here who stayed behind for you some extra money’ I couldn’t believe it! My partner did in fact leave extra and we went home. Safe to say this left a slight sour taste in our mouth, especially for our one year anniversary! Sorry, but don’t think we’ll be back.

Having lived in Bournemouth for 30 years, I can say without doubt, that this is thee best Italian restaurant in town. The pizza is just incredible, the tiramisu is to die for and the friendly, efficient service is the cherry on the top. Affordable and delicious! Thank you Pizzeria Via Roma for a five star service all round.
