Gio's in Bournemouth

After 8 weeks dining out in Bournemouth, we discovered Gio's. Friendly high quality service and even better food puts this place on a small shortlist of restaurants to revisit. Well worthy of a top rating.

This is a fantastic restaurant with so many choices all at pretty reasonable prices. I had the Alfredo pasta which was excellent my wife had the margarita pizza again excellent It is up a side street but well worth seeking out. A big bonus is they are also very dog friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Good food, good service. Great time out.. Could have had more vegetarian options. Great South African food option

Wow the food here at Gio's is superb, tucked away on a side street but you must go, the lady that welcomes you on arrival who also owns the restaurant alongside her husband is so friendly. We both ordered a traditional South African dish, I had Babootie and hubby had Bunny Chow and they were both simply amazing, cooked to perfection, it was the best meal throughout our week's holiday. Everyone who goes to Bournemouth must try and go. Thankyou Gio's, if we are ever in the area again you'll be sure to see us.... 👍😄

This is my first review on Trip Advisor. We found Gio’s by chance. What a great find. Really nice friendly atmosphere, great service and excellent food.

What a find. The most welcoming restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. Lovely relaxed feeling inside and the staff are the most genuine pleasant people you could wish for. The food is absolutely amazing and there is a great range for all the family. I could talk about individual dishes but each one would just reach the same conclusion……awesome!!! The entire experience just brings a smile to my face.

Friendly staff, chef adapted our order with no problems. Delicious food. Relaxed atmosphere. Boerewors roll, ribs, curry (in bunny chow) and spatchcocked chicken were all amazing.

Visited Gio's with my mom, son, daughter and grandson. Went especially so that my mom could have melktert which she loved. The rest of us tried different things on the menu and all the food was amazing. Will definately be going back and would highly recommend a visit.

Great service every time we go and only the best food. My kids beg to go back for the wors rolls and peppermint tart every time. The owners are always happy to have a chat amd a catch up. Definitely recommend for all.

Great food, great family business, well worth a visit! This is a very local restaurant and really worth supporting. We have been on many times and never have been let down

We fell in love with the menu and ended up having multiple courses and rolled out once we were done. Everything was fresh, delicious and good portion sizes. The atmosphere was welcoming and they could not do enough to make us feel cared for. Best was we were not rushed out, able to enjoy the evening in a great setting watching this family work hard to deliver a great experience.

Eaten at Gios many a times and felt just like home. We had portuguese food,Italian food and traditional South African food.The hospitality,service with a smile and food was out of this world.Give Gios a try u wont be disapointed.Will be back and support this lovely little family bussiness
