The Italian Club in Liverpool

We stopped here for a quick dinner and were not disappointed. I highly recommend you book in advance as the restaurant gets very busy. We booked a table a few hours before arriving, and this made all the difference. On arrival, we were shown to our table by a lovely lady. Service was quick and very friendly, and once we had ordered, food came out very quickly. Food was cooked to perfection, nice and very tasty, with good portion sizes. I highly recommend the seabass fish with roasted potatoes. All in all, we all had an amazing time and would highly recommend a visit if you are in Liverpool

Family gathering of 10 last weekend for a once a year get together. Hadn't been here before but had it recommended. So glad we did. Couldn't fault anything! Service, friendliness, fab atmosphere, great food and value for money! Thanks so much to all the staff for making our family gathering such a happy evening! We will be back!

This is a beautiful restaurant that has amazingly authentic and delicious Italian food. The staff are friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable and affordable for the quality. I cannot praise this place enough. My family and I have been here regularly over the years and never had a bad experience. Their sister locations (Fish and Bakery) are equally as good. 10/10 on all fronts.

We popped in for a quick bite to eat before heading to a gig, and sat outside as a result. Inside looked cute and cosy. We ordered a margarita pizza and arancini to share. The pizza was lovely and the arancini was decent enough. Would visit again!

Really friendly with excellent, well priced food. With lots of places not even opening on a Monday in Liverpool city centre I would definitely recommend it!

Our favourite little spot on bold street. Always have the freshest food, definitely recommend the focaccia!

Best pizza I ever tasted...I had tge Mr Crollo pizza it really was amazing!

The focaccia they served was just sauceless pizza. Dishes did not taste homemade. Table service parmesan was not fresh-grated. Sangria was good.

Beautiful restaurant, gorgeous food and fabulous, attentive staff. The atmosphere is dreamy. My friends and I go there regularly and we receive the same excellent service time after time.

The ladies' toilet was absolutely disgusting. This was after staff left the cubicle with cleaning products and a mop, and thanked me for waiting while they cleaned it. Very unappealing and off-putting. If I hadn't ordered my food already, I would have left. I have no intention of returning.

The Italian Club provides canapes for our wedding reception and our guests were absolutely raving over the food all afternoon! Very communicative and helpful staff too, would absolutely recommend to anyone!

We thought it would be great traditional Italian food, but we were wrong. The place is nice and Yes, it was Italian but the food is rushed and bland. The only thing that was half decent was the garlic and cheese pizza. I have eaten better and for a lot cheaper elsewhere.

Lovely welcoming restaurant with really tasty Italian food. Both had pasta dishes which were simple, but delivered full of flavour. Pricing was reasonable and even the least expensive bottle of red was a great choice. Well worth a visit

It was all very solid without being spectacular, the food was nice without being wow, also wasn't impressed by the mains arriving as we finished the starters, it felt like we were being rushed

6 of us are here on a Sat night. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. I had the beef tortellini and it was really excellent. In a sea of restaurants on Bold St you might be tempted to go for something a bit more flash or unusual but you won't be disappointed if you eat here ❤️

It's a good restaurant and the food is good. In my opinion, the Italian authenticity is there, simply 'adapted' to satisfy the tastes of local customers, as happens in almost all Italian restaurants abroad. I recommend the arancini and the gorgonzola gnocchi, the carbonara lacked a little salt but was still good all things considered.

Everything is OK. Wine menu is pretty good. A good place for some pasta and a glass of wine. The restaurant can get really crowded and service can be slow. Overall good but nothing special

Absolutely fabulous food and service from the moment I arrived! I chose the lasagne and the nutella pizza and couldn’t have enjoyed them more! The interior is stunning and the toilets seem very well cleaned and looked after. My server tom was delightful and outstanding at his job. will definitely be back

A nice place. I ate well and looked after. Waiter gave me a good recommendation on liquors. Food wasn't particularly outstanding but was good, tasty, good temperature.

Amazing , traditional and unique combinations of flavours - for example pistachio gnocchi ! The best part was the amazing service from Sydney who showed us amazing kindness and service. She is a credit to the restaurant !

I met some friends here for a late lunch on a weekday. It was busy - a clear sign of how good the restaurant is. We all ate here and all enjoyed our meals. I had the Carbonara, which was very nice. The service was also brilliant - very attentive.

the food was disappointing to say the least, as a 6’8 man the food servings were more suited to a child then a man of my caliber. The service was also disappointing due to the time it took to bring our food to our table as a person who arrived to this establishment 20 minutes later then we did received their food 10 minutes before we did. The food was quite good but it was quite bland. Overall i felt disappointed due to the price tag and the mediocrity of the food.

Booked in for mid afternoon lunch, Everyone else seemed to love their food but I thought my Calamari wasn’t the best & my main was not something I would order again. Would give it another go but probably order something different.

Visited with family to celebrate my neice's 21st birthday. The staff were brilliant, polite, friendly and efficient. The food is gorgeous, although I couldn't finish all of mine as the portions are very generous. This is a fabulous family restaurant with casual dining that feels special and is the perfect venue for family celebrations. I don't often return to Liverpool but when I do I will be sure to give this place another visit.

Had a lovely meal yesterday after the 6th July with friends in a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I did ask the waiter if we were okay to stay at the table for a little longer and it was fine with him thank you for a great afternoon 😊

Found an extensive gluten free menu for my GF which was great! The food was lovely genuine Italian fare. I had the special past which was perfectly cooked and a garlic bread with cheese, which was an entire pizza - if the pizza bases are anything like the garlic bread base the pizzas are near perfect! (Yes I should have seen it coming that the garlic bread would be that big)

Pizza was good kids liked them, apart from that the rest of the food was bland and about Italian as corn flakes totally underwhelmed

Very disappointing experience. We have been there for dinner. We explicitly explained that we wanted just an entry or something "simple" asking if it was fine with them and they said that there was fine. Then the waitress arrived and started talking to us in an aggressive and rude manner for no reason... she thrown the drinks and run away blabbing something. Food was ok. The service instead was appalling and one guy that looked like one of the managers/owners was sitting next to our table and didn't mind about the behaviour of his employee.

Popped in today and was lucky to get an outside table.. very very busy. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Just had 2 pizzas and some fries, excellent food. Especially the one with truffle sauce, oh my word, sooooo good. We usually go to the other restaurant The Italian Fish Club, which is excellent also, but just fancied a quick bite today. Highly recommend but booking advisable if going on a Saturday (customers being turned away). Will definitely be back.. Thanks

Very nice Italian, was a toss up between here and The Quarter and we weren't disappointed. Food was first rate, I had the tagliatelle with wild boar which was delicious. We also had white sangria, which was so good we had another! The restaurant is situated in a lively dining area which has a good buzz about it.

We reserved a table here but we didn't stay. We got in, were seated right at the front next to the open door which was quite cold squashed around two other couples who were nearly within elbows reach. Music blasting outside. Just not a great vibe at all unfortunately so we went elsewhere.

Only popped in for a coffee and cake, so this is a first impression review. Inside is a spacious and lovely place to be. With a relaxed and homely vibe. Coffee was great, and the cake we had was made by the head chef. If the rest of the food is anything like the cake you're in for a treat. Will update the review after we've been fir lunch/dinner.

There was a blonde italian woman with a side swept fringe and she was extremely rude and didn’t give good service whatsoever. EXTREMELY judgemental and uncouth the food was delightful and came within exceptional timing however the waitress really put a dampener on the mood. Me and my girlfriend were just trying to enjoy our meal but couldn’t get over the fact that the woman handled our table with such patronisation and all round neglectful service.

The blonde waitress attending our table was extremely helpful, allowing us the time needed to choose the food. The food was great 💯 and the service was topped up with excellence by Anca, we recommend it and will definitely return! Proper Italian taste!

Came in for a quick drink and bite to eat. Food, drinks and service were lovely. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with lots of street photography framed around the walls - though I was pretty upset to find a huge canvas with AI generated art in the toilets. It looks cheap and tacky, and comes across as a poor taste addition in amongst the real, human-made artwork. Pay for real art, don’t get it generated by a machine!

For such a cosy restaurant, it's brilliant, food amazing,service lovely all staff very helpful. Been several times and never disappointed

Absolutely fantastic food & busy atmosphere. The building is well lit, but not overly bright. Service was outstanding. My only minor gripe is the restaurant is pretty compact, which means depending on where you sit, you might find it a squeeze.

Had some time to spare waiting for a train today. Didn’t want Mac D, Burger King etc, had a wander and found this Italian. Looked inviting. Went in, great welcome, friendly staff and a really lovely pizza and glass of red. Thankyou and would def recommend.

Lovely place with surprisingly high ceilings once you're inside. Not sure what it might have been originally as the back interior is quite ornate. So cute looking from outside with what looks like original frontage. The service was really welcoming and typically Italian. Good choice on the menu so something for everyone. Food was excellent, we all enjoyed what we ordered. Lovely little place x

I often use shrimp as a starter. The prawn in this restaurant were rubbery. The sauce seems to be correct, the tomatoes are fresh, the pan is hot, but the taste is bad. The 4 cheese pizza was good, but there was nothing but cheese, and they didn’t even add a basil leaf for decoration. It turned out lean. But the lasagna was excellent, tasty, tender, with a slight sourness and sufficient spices. A hot plate and grated Parmesan completed the picture.

Restaurant has a beautiful interior and atmosphere but is unfortunately let down by the service and the food. I was astonished by the rudeness of the staff and by the bland saltiness by the food. Don’t come here if you value manners, and definitely don’t come here if you’re vegetarian…

Truly exceptional Italian food. The calibre of every dish from melt-in-the-mouth garlic bread, to very well made classic pasta dishes , to terrific tiramisu is just crazy excellent. Great vegan and gluten free options. I find it very hard not to make a bee line to it when visiting the city. You’d be hard pushed to find better made food at a more costly high-end establishment.

Went for the first time on Thursday last it was my granddaughters birthday, the service and atmosphere were both amazing, but some of the starters let them down

Left disappointed. The waiters are excellent, and service was super fast (no more than 10 minutes after ordering), but too good to be true. The carbonara was dry and the worst we had ever tasted, and there was far too much cheese on everything. The Italian Club has clearly tried to prep before hand, as all our dishes were pre-made, and simply heated before bringing out. My opinion would be to chose a pizza, at least this will be fresh. I have been to the sister restaurant, the Italian club Fish, and they are much better - and would recommend to all to visit this instead.

Love this little cosy authentic Italian. Perfect after a full day in the City, just before going home. A real Italian pasta & a cup of coffee. Perfect!

Great feed! Skillfully cooked Italian classics in friendly atmosphere. Perfect spot for either a family meal or catching up with friends. Substantial portions means you leave feeling very well looked after. Acoustics good for the hard of hearing (like me) and the music is not overwhelming. Which enhanced my enjoyment. Staff lovely. Thank you.
