Great cake and coffee selection. most cakes are £6 and coffee £3.20. The only downside is that there is no coffee price menu and that the music is too loud

It used to be more enjoyable a few years ago. It has been too busy and noisy nowadays. Burdens of popularity. Good for the owners. Food and coffee are still great.

Unfortunately after a couple of very good experiences in the bakery side, where breads focaccia and pizza are really nice and staff is lovely, the cafe-patisserie side was a disgrace. Staff at the cafe bench was rude and unprofessional, the deserts are far from anything that is real Italian taste. Tables are small and you have to bring your own order at your own table so really…where’s the service? Stay at the bakery side, much better, like they are 2 separate management businesses

it's really disheartening to see that you are giving 'influencers' (who aren't influential) who have never set foot in your place before free stuff to mention you on Instagram. Some of us have been your customers since 2012 and visit all your venues, hey farina, brunchin and Botanico yet it feels like a slap in the face that you aren't interested in us. P&D even has a big refugee customer base where these men come to meet their friends as a safe space to spend what little money they have on a coffee. I think there are more deserving beneficiaries of free food and drink from you, but your place is already popular and there is no need to give them out, especially considering COL crisis. Please don't take this as an attack as I love your products and your staff and undoubtedly have the best coffee in Lpool.

Wonderful food I had the caramel cheesecake it was lush. Staff were amazing, but I found the atmosphere in the cafe side less appealing to the restaurant side. I'd go back. The hot chocolate was phenomenal!!

The man who served us was really helpful and knowledgeable about their products. Loved it! Definitely somewhere we will be going back to!

This was the best cafe in Liverpool but unfortunately it's very different now. We were hoping for some authentic Italian sandwiches which used to be in the display counter. Now sadly it's all cakes and you have to order off the menu. Don't get me wrong, the coffee and cakes were good but if you knew the place as it was, you would be disappointed.

You don't serve people in the queue by friends, but who is first.

Dopo un turno di notte il desiderio di un cornetto italiano non me lo toglierebbe nessuno. Se non fosse che anche aprendo alle 07.30, alle 08.10 ancora il bancone era mezzo vuoto. E chiedere ogni volta dove siano, aspettare ogni volta, rischiare di perdere il bus ogni volta sinceramente inizia a scocciare (incluso il rimanere a digiuno quando ho impegni e sono costretto a rinunciare a quel cornetto italiano nonostante letteralmente aspetto da prima che apra). Una, due, tre volte ma se devo aspettare così tanto per avere la colazione italiana al prossimo giro vado direttamete a Caffè Nero, almeno poi posso prendere il bus in tempo e continuare la giornata senza ritardi inutili.

It's a great place. We've been coming in for years. Prices are high, staff are lovely but.... The music is always so loud its uncomfortable to be inside. This is particularly difficult for people with sensory overload, hearing difficulties and children. Also the music being so loud means the staff don't always get the orders right.

I’ve been in queue for order my Italian breakfast in a quiet quick time. Arrived at the till I’ve order 1 espresso two pear juice and two croissants with custard but they’ve been as usually with no enough custard in it, when we ask if was possible to filler up with a bit more custard, the barman very gently took the croissant and he went straight away at other station bar for me. It’s not possible every time I have to ask to put more custard in it, so please member of the staff sorter out this problem for all customers

I loooove this place! It's my favorite Italian in town, the best! They got bigger! They had the cafe and the resto apart (farina) and now it's all in one: resto, cafe, gelateria and chocolateria, one beautiful big place! Cappuccino with any pastry is my go to. I still need to try their food, breads are the real ones! Thank you for existing!

Only stopped in for a coffee and pastry but pastry was very nice and authentic, some of them seem pricey but very well made. Espresso was also one of the best I’ve had so will definitely be coming back

Nice spot in the heart of Liverpool. The place is very elegant inside and well organised. I had a coffee and tried a few cakes like, tiramisù, zeppola, tartine and almond paste and everything was delicious. I then moved to the gelato area and tried two of the premium flavours (cassata and the pistachio, almond and agrumi), they were amazing. Very friendly and polite service. Shame I didn’t try their pizza which seemed to be good too - next time. Definitely a must visit if you are in the centre of Liverpool.

Had a lovely brunch here with friends, food was absolutely delicious. - Prices were affordable - Good portions - Not long waiting times - Lovely staff - Not too busy/packed, enough room for 4 people Ordered the 'Garden Plate' and a cannoli, very filling and well seasoned! :)

11 out of 10, a simple must for anyone who love fresh exceptional pastries and great Italian coffee!

We were really hungry and took a gamble on eating at Hey Farina! Williamson Square isn't really known as a hotspot for fine dining but we (3 adults, 2 teens) were happy to have our preconceptions challenged. The vibe is a bit cafe-ish but the display of Italian breads and street food was enticing. Service was cheerful, prompt and attentive. Foodwise, all the bread based stuff we had was exceptional, from the mozzarella and Parma ham panini on sourdough to the the focaccia and panzerotto. Really event. Made to order salad was good and generous. The only slight slip up was with one of the pasta dishes; the oriechette had barely a trace of the tender stem broccoli and anchovy the menu promised, but was tasty nonetheless. The ravioli with creamed potato sauce and spicy sausage was generous and delicious. When giving feedback, the owner was apologetic where necessary and was quick to make things right. Top notch gelato too. A surprising little gem in a neglected part of town. We'd deffo return. Thank you!

The espresso is incredibly bitter, and the cheesecake was curdled. Not worth the price.

Stayed in Liverpool, for the weekend, 18-21.aug.. Had every breakfast there. Staff is smiling and giving great service.. Food was fantastic.. Can recommend the Eggs Benedict.. Will definitely go back here for my next visit to the city Roger, Haugesund, Norway

I don't know why all the changes have happened. Place looks lovely & food delish but service is very very slow !!!! You are lucky if they get your order correct 1st time, be aware when ordering coffee, you only get half cup full, I had to ask for cup to be topped up, coffee too expensive not have proper serving, I have not been here in long time & this is last time 🙄

Absolutely gorgeous food and friendly staff.

The place just seem to be getting better the more they grow and expand. I find myself coming back over and over and I never leave feeling disappointed. The staff are very lovely and fun and the place is always booming with customers and lively. The selection of desserts is absolutely astronomical and they are all to die for.

I’d give them 0 stars if I could. Let me start with the fact that this business supports the Tories and organised catering for them on 2 occasions. The place used to be a nice casual cafe however now it became a big pretentious place and very overpriced. A few £ for a tiny piece of cake! The staff is nice enough, it’s a shame the owner treats them like garbage though. The cakes have fish gelatine in them which they don’t mention so if you’re a vegan or vegetarian then you might unknowingly eat an animal product. It blows my mind that the hygiene rating is 5 while there’s an ant infestation in most of their kitchen spaces. Enjoy your food! One manager is running the whole place and all the businesses the owner owns. The staff is underpaid, untrained, overworked and treated horribly. How this place is still running successfully is beyond me. My friend worked in one of their kitchens and absolutely hated it (yes, that’s how I found about all the above). I will never set my foot in there and give them any money especially since they support a party that ruined my city that they also live and have a business in. It’s a shame as their coffee and food is nice but it’s absolutely not worth it.

Great coffee and cakes in Italian atmosphere?

The gelato was amazing, great choice of flavours, but the place looked a bit untidy. I wanted to sit outside but people were smoking outside, so I wanted to choose a sit away from them. But all the tables had ashtrays filled with cigarette buds which really put me off.

Beautiful little cafe with great coffee ans delicious treats. I had coffee with tiramasu and both were 10/10. What made me smile was listening to the two staff conversing in fluent Italian and immediately switching to a liverpudlian accent. Lovely people, lovely coffee.

Enjoyed the coffee at P and Ds for the past few years. The Opening of Hey Farina gives an extra dimension. Great food in a relaxed "drop-in" atmosphere. Brilliant!

Best italian coffee and desserts around, from gelato to cakes. This cafe has been here for years and has slowly expanded from a cafe, to include a restaurant and bar. Season treats like luxurious easter eggs and Christmas panettone can be bought here and are worth the (at times expensive)price tag if you want a taste of real Italian goods.

The best bakery in the country!!!! Everything there is the best you’ll get. Can’t wait to go back.

Highly recommend… Amazing pastries, cakes & coffee’s

We went here whilst we were visiting Liverpool. It was bigger than I expected and was fairly busy but managed to get a table ok. We were looking for something sweet and they certainly have plenty to choose from like cheesecakes, ice creams, pastries, donuts and plenty of others treats. I ended up getting a pistachio hot chocolate, and my wife got a biscoff milkshake. We overindulged and shared chocolate fudge cake, malteser cheesecake and the 3 cannoli’s they had to offer. The pistachio hot chocolate was a delicious monster! The cream on top was thick and tasty and the flavour of the pistachio complement the hot chocolate well. The milkshake was alright (certainly had better) but it did come in a takeaway plastic cup even though we were sitting in. The fudge cake and cheesecake were good but nothing overly special. Unfortunately the cannoli’s were disappointing. They were dry and the filling was quite sickly. I liked the Italian feel with music and chatter in the background but it wasn’t particularly relaxing. The staff were nice enough. I’d say that it was also quite overpriced.
