La Fontana Italian Restaurant in Blackpool

Wonderful, fun spot with EXCELLENT food and lovely service! Everything we had here - risotto, cannelloni, flatbread and wine - were terrific and very reasonably priced. Our waiter was super fun and the whole place had a very kind vibe. Highly recommended.

We went to this restaurant for a family meal. We arrived and were shown to a table by a friendly hostess. She brought menus, took drink orders & brought drinks. We asked to order food, but she wasn’t allowed to take orders and we were told ‘a man’ would come and take our food order. All the male staff were engrossed in a plastic water feature they were trying to build in the centre of the restaurant and the only person actually doing any serving was the girl who seated us. After we had been there for 20 minutes, my Father approached them and asked if we could order food. They rudely told him to go and sit back down. One of the men then came over to our table and rather than take our orders, snatched the drinks and told us to get out. He started shouting that people like us should go to McDonalds rather than a restaurant. We walked out and obviously will not be returning. Absolutely terrible service.

Visited on NYE with no booking, seated within minutes. Attentive and friendly staff, beautiful meal. Couldn't fault anything. Thank you!

Arriving with a party of six but without a booking the staff offered us the option of waiting in the bar area for about 40 minutes until a table became free. We were immediately offered drinks and the youngsters menus to amuse themselves. In less time than advised we were shown to our table and had a delightful evening with good food and excellent service from staff who related well to their customers from the youngest to the elderly. Even the bill at the end wasn't horrendous. Next time we will certainly visit, but book in advance !

Shared a meal here with a group of friends. Beautifully decorated restaurant. The service was good, a bit of banter from the waiter. Food good, we ate before going to a show, so it was quiet, not much atmosphere, but of course no fault of the restaurant.

A very good Italian restaurant in the centre of Blackpool. The restaurant looks good, the service is slick and friendly. The food is excellent, some of the best pasta I’ve had in years, I’m told the steak was equally excellent. Highly recommend

We stumbled across this place whilst on a weekend away with friends….and what a find! Fantastic food - we all had different main courses and they were all lovely and very reasonably priced. Fun and friendly staff who were attentive and did everything with a smile on their faces. I’ve already recommended this to my family who live locally but haven’t been yet.

Fantastic authentic Italian restaurant. Could not find fault with anything. The staff were friendly, attentive and work hard. If walking past and noticed our wine glasses were low, then they'd top them up. The food was really tasty, well presented and at a reasonable price. Located just a short stroll from North pier.

In Blackpool for a dance competition and my birthday fell on this weekend. Chose this restaurant due to being close to the Wintergardens and because of the positive reviews! So glad I did, great communication when booking and with our pre orders, we also had a couple of friends drop out last minute as they had to travel home (4hr drive)......and then 3 people join last minute from the dance school. We also needed the time to be flexible as finish time was approximate. The restaurant and staff were ex emotionally accommodating, we had bags and dance cases a plenty, we were all welcomed by friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. We had 5 children in our party and all were made to feel welcome. Excellent food that was well needed after a weekend of grab and go, delicious meal, lovely wine and a birthday celebration! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back next year on our annual dance trip to Blackpool.

We usually visit once a year on our annual pilgrimage to Blackpool. The staff are friendly and the food is good and hot. The only thing I don’t like is the 10% service charge added to the bill. Although we do always tip, I think this is excessive in these times.

What a find. Great from arriving to leaving. Ideal place to dine in before or after the theatre. A warm welcome greeted us. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. There was a good choice of food, one of our party is vegetarian, and a great drinks/wine menu. All our meals were delicious, every plate went back empty. The restaurant is beautiful decorated and the facilities are clean and well maintained . We will definitely return.

Arrived, having not booked for my neighbours 80th birthday. We had a wait of around 30 minutes, which they told us. We were promptly served at the bar and given a menu. I don't think we waited 30 minutes. It was extremely busy last weekend of half term.there were dancers in town, and the illuminations were on. When shown to our table the staff brought our drinks for us and the order was taken straight away. We had garlic bread to start and then salmon and carbonarra. Both were delicious. Followed by tirumisu. They even found the time to bring my friend an ice cream with a candle on and singing Happy birthday. Which made her night. The staff, some of whom have been there a long time, are very good at what they do. That's why I go back. They have quite a few younger members of staff who have been trained to a very high standard. Making sure everything was OK. Topping up the wine glass every time they came to the table. Excellent
