Sapori in Blackpool

Found this little gem, turned up with no booking and was greeted with a welcome smile and asked if we could wait for a table, we did and are glad we did! The food here is amazing, all 3 courses were wonderfully executed, the sharing platter for starter was exceptional, I would definitely recommend this little Italian

My friend and I visited this restaurant for a pre theatre dinner and it was amazing. The staff were lovely, service impeccable and the food was so delicious. Luckily we had made a reservation as it was extremely busy which is always a good sign.

Personeel denkt grappig te zijn, maar zijn uiterst onbeschoft tegen gasten. Zo werden bijvoorbeeld de lepels op de tafel gegooid en onze dochter van 12 werd doorgaans verteld dat ze Whiskey aan het drinken was, dat ze dat in haar appelsap hadden gedaan. Hoezo???!!! Eten was goed, maar met zo'n houding van het personeel niet waard om te bezoeken. De rekening was handgeschreven, onleesbaar. Maar hopen dat het klopt. Voor ons geen aanrader.

Visited many times but last night was disappointing. On arrival 4 of 6 of us arrived first but we weren't allowed to go to our table and had to wait in the bar till the rest of our party arrived. No explanation as to why or even an offer of a drink whilst we waited. Food this time was mediocre, the lasagne and sea bream were very poor and the mussels were awful, very watery and lacked any flavour. Will be looking for an alternative next time we visit.

Visit Blackpool each year and eat here all the time! Great food, great service and ambiance…food has always been top Notch and certainly would recommend to anyone visiting Blackpool. Food always been delivered piping hot fresh and delicious, can’t fault anything with this restaurant! Five stars all the way!!!!

I started with the Calimari and it was cooked to perfection , nice and soft not chewy at all. Main l had veal in a lemon sauce, again very nicely cooked. Service quick and excellent.

Not enough room between tables. My wife’s pasta was not cooked long enough.iv had better 99p pizzas from Alda with more taste. No atmosphere,no back ground music.sorry in my estimations very overrated.

Visited here whilst visiting Blackpool to sing at The Tower Ballroom, received excellent service, great food and a bit of flirting and fun thrown in.

Granddaughter’s birthday, Mum Dad and grandparents had a lovely evening and enjoyed the meals accompanied by super service

Awful. Having eaten here a few years ago and enjoyed it. I recommended it to some of our friends for us all to go together. Upon entering the restaurant there was a distinct smell of drains or damp coming from the bar area. The food was terrible, soggy lasagne in a bowl of soup, prosciutto pizza served with bacon, anaemic calamari and the service was on par with the food, rude waiters clicking at you to get you to pass your own plate over, telling us they're busy when asked to order more drinks and no table manners. I won't be returning and I will never be recommending this place again, I feel embarrassed that I brought my friends here.

I was looking forward to trying Sapori after hearing good reviews. However, our experience couldn’t have been further from this, the food was average at best and the customer service was appalling. The calamari looked anaemic with a really thin soggy batter, accompanied with what seemed to be shop bought sweet chilly sauce. The pasta in the lasagne was overcooked with little to no consistency, and was literally slopped in the middle of bowl with what can only be described as Heinz tomato soup poured around it. The pizza and garlic bread were fine, just nothing special. Customer service was impersonal and bordering on aggressive. The staff sharply gave one word answers and were quick to tell us they were busy when we needed anything. Generally a poor experience all round and I won’t be returning.

Never a good start when you enter and the stench is drains and it didn’t get much better. The Diet Coke I ordered came out of a bottle days before, flat as can be. Asked a waiter to take our order and he said he can’t as he is only a drinks waiter. Like can you not write? Starters were average. Pizza was sloppy and under cooked. My pizza had salami on, and for £15 there was a tiny thin slice, 6 in total on the whole pizza. The waiter whipped my plate away without asking if I was finished, which I hadn’t and nobody asked how the food was. Felt totally rushed and no atmosphere at all. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

We absolutely loved this place when we first visited a couple of years ago. We rebooked for last night and we had the same amazing experience. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is so good! Please come and open one on the Wirral 🙌. We will be sure to book again next time we are visiting Blackpool.

The best Italian restaurant me and my partner have ever been to and we have been to many, very authentic Italian cooking, food was amazing, portions amazing and service was amazing, will definitely go again.

Brilliant service, fantastic meals and great selection from the menu. Very easy to locate and booking is definitely advised. They easily catered for our party of 8 at the same time as a party of 40 upstairs . Definitely will go again.

The atmosphere was buzzing from the moment we arrived. All the staff were professional and extremely polite. Me and my partner came here for a rare date night together. He ordered the prawn risotto and I had the spaghetti carbonara. The food was delicious, the Zinfandel Rose was exquisite. Naturally we left a tip for all the staff because we were very well taken care of. We will definitely be coming back again.

I had seen Sapori talked about online and wanted to check it out. It did not disappoint. The menu is extensive, great tasting hot food, excellent service and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back

Excellent Italian food at reasonable prices. My wife had gamberoni sapori as a stater and I had zuppa di pomodoro. For mains we had spaghetti carbonara and salmone al prosecco. All food tastes amazingly fresh. This is our second visit and it is now our favourite Italian restaurant in Blackpool.

Food was absolutely superb as usual , I had the fillet steak medallions which were cooked to perfection..all our party enjoyed their meals with no complaints..The only minor problem involved us being sat right near a radiator which was on at full pelt.This made for a slightly uncomfortable experience.However that aside , a great experience 😀

Spent a day and night in Blackpool and a local couple said, “you must try Sapori, it’s the best Italian in Blackpool”! So we did and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was amazing, the owner and waiter were brilliant with the family. We concur, the best Italian in Blackpool! If you visit Blackpool, put this on your list of places to eat! You won’t be disappointed.

I wasn't impressed with this place at all. I could put up with the bland starter and very average pizza (you can buy better at Tesco) but the rude staff... when I paid my bill at 9.30pm I wondered whether I'd done something wrong - they treated us as if all they wanted us to do was pay and get out.

Booked for a meal before a show so got here for 5.30pm. Half full at this point but by the time we came to the main they were turning people away. Stunning meal, I had spare ribs, swordfish and tartofu my husband had the garlic mushrooms and lasagne. The food was well cooked and we both enjoyed the meal. We would certainly recommend 9/10

On a recent visit to the Winter Gardens for a soul music festival and with over 4,000 people attending this event I decided that it would be best to book a table well in advance. After carrying out some research I decided that Sapori would be a good choice as group we all love Italian food the establishment looked good with equally good reviews. On Tuesday 15th August 2023 at 5.17 pm I rang the Sapori to book a table for 6.30pm for Saturday 23rd September. The person who answered spoke with a broken Italian accent although he accepted our booking he didnt sound too confident especially in the manner in which he took my call. As he didnt inspire me with confidence I asked for an email to confirm our booking to which he said he wouldn't do this and that all was ok with our booking. We turned up on the 23rd September 10 mins late (to which I apologised) due to getting lost (none of us are from Blackpool) only to be told that we didnt have a table booked. I can only assume the person who spoke to us on arrival (he sounded like the guy who I phone previously) was the owner very curt in his attitude to us and didnt clearly didnt want to accommodate us, as a result sending 7 of us out back into the streets looking for somewhere to eat during a very busy wet Saturday evening. This was a pity as we all were looking forward to eating in Sapori lets hope other customers don't get the cold shoulder treatment as we did, future people booking be warned.

Had a lovely meal, great service spaghetti bolognaise and a very large pizza, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend

Tuesday evening visit with my young son, who confirmed the margherita pizza was the best he had tasted (he's sampled a few!) We were welcomed without a reservation, the restaurant was nicely full at 6pm. I had the cannelloni which was delicious and very tasty and a liquer coffee to finish. Service was friendly and prompt, and meals great value for money. We will happily return on future visits to Blackpool.

Food was great service terrible No attention paid to us even though restaurant was nearly empty. Never left a tip for that reason. A lot of attention to family table from Germany I think .

Unreal food... Absolutely fantastic.. We got there late on Saturday. 9.25 5 minutes before last service. Steak was beautiful and the lamb melted in the mouth. Pate was also great. Manchester needs a restraunt like this. Not cheap but well worth paying that little extra. Thank you.update a year later. Went in again yesterday same as before absolutely brilliant.

They add cream in the carbonara so definitely not traditional Italian! Vaffanculo

Great atmosphere friendly staff will go again

Unfortunately for me I choose lasagne it was several sheets of pasta no meat ,cheese or sauce. My 3 friends all had steak and they were all happy with that .

Run by two elderly Italian gentlemen who provide great food and great service. Prices are reasonable as well. I love their attention to detail.

My wife and I were visiting Blackpool and meeting a local couple for a meal; they suggested Sapori. Having been once, we will hopefully return many times and will highly recommend it to anyone. A warm, friendly, humorous service, as well as top quality food cooked to the very highest standard of culinary skill.

Amazing!!! Cheerful Italian host was above and beyond! The reception was friendly, we came in without a reservation and were welcomed in. The service was fast and the food absolutely delicious. We cleared out the plates. We had the veggie pasta dish, the salmon pasta dish and margarita pizza (thin crust with beautiful cheese pull). 10/10 The dessert was the light and fluffy 👍🏽👍🏽

I booked this restaurant for a group of 31 (16 adults, 15 kids) as we were in Blackpool for a football tournament. The owners couldn't do enough to help in the run up to the meal. As expected for such a large party, a pre-order was required but they kindly offered for one of the younger children to order their meal on the night if they didn't know what they wanted before. The minute we arrive, we were seated in a private dining area and kids were immediately served drinks so that the adults could get sorted. The service throughout the meal was amazing and the food amazing. I think everyone loved the food they ordered. A massive thank you for allowing families to order their own drinks as although it made my life easier sorting the bill, it made the restaurants life harder. Thank you again, for making our Saturday evening!!!

What a fantastic find!! This restaurant is located near to the theatre where we were going. The waiters are very attentive and was served very quickly and efficiently. It was quite busy but the waiters never missed a beat!!. Food was amazing, hot, tasty and beautiful. I cannot think of a negative, I just need to go again!!!!
