La comida era buena, pero cuando pedimos solicitamos cambiar los mejillones por gambas extra y nos dijeron que esto no era posible, pero nos dijeron que podían añadir unos pocos extra para nosotros. estábamos contentos con esto, pero no nos dijeron sobre el cargo extra de £ 5 ! no habría sido tan malo si no era tan caro, £ 5 es simplemente bastante! que es ridículo ya que no podemos haber conseguido más de 3 gambas extra. la comida era buena, pero recibir la factura de tener un cargo extra fue un final realmente decepcionante para la comida.

First visit despite meaning to come for ages. The food was amazing, from the bread, the ribs and the lamb.... Simply fantastic and can't wait to visit again

Only in Blackpool for a couple of days and we where so glad to stumbled upon this gem of an Italian. We went in and asked for a table for two, myself and my boy who's 15. The waitress was brilliant,got us a table straight away. Service was excellent and the food was great,fresh and full of flavour. The price was very reasonable for what we had,we wished we had found this place on the 1st day as we go home to Scotland tomorrow. Definitely be back in the future.

We've just come away from this lovely restaurant and told them I was going to leave a good review (without being asked which makes a change), so here goes... We phoned up at a peak time (7pm) and asked if they could squeeze us in, which they immediately obliged, and said they'd find us a nice table for when we would arrive, which was only 5 minutes later. The food was absolutely delicious, and piping hot. We had the Seafood spaghetti marinara, Dirty burger and kids pizza, followed by the baked cheesecake with cherries, white chocolate sauce and icecream, plus a child sized portion of ice cream with all the trimmings. The portions were generous and quite obviously freshly made there and then. Our little girl enjoyed watching her pizza being made right in front of her. The service was spot on, and they were very nice to our little girl which always makes for a nice family meal. This restaurant was a decent size which meant we didn't feel atall crammed in. The other top reviews about this place were all correct, and we would give it top marks too. All in all it was a positive dining experience. Thankyou.

Been here a number of times over the years and it has always been good but not great! Staff over worked and a tad inefficient but very courteous. Food was 4 from 5 !

Fantastic food and great evening. Slight issue at the end of the night which was rectified. Problem with the bill and the fact that the system hD not cleared and been added to our bill however again quickly rectified with apologies. We will return in the future

Horrible service. My family came from New York to visit Blackpool. We googled Italio. We arrived at the restaurant at 9:10 and was turned away. Keep in mind we travelled £15 to location. Staff was very unpleasant. Horrible customer service!!! We NEVER recommend!!

On the 12th of July, we celebrated one of my friends birthdays at Italio. Overall we had a lovely meal with great food and good service. However a blonde waitress called Carrera, was rude when an incident occurred. When an unknown wine bucket underneath the table, that we were unaware of moved after adjusting my leg. Which caused my glass of wine to spill over, when trying to ask for napkins my friend was rudely interrupted and was told “don’t spill next time” the waitress then walked off and ignored our request. However on a good note, the brunette hostess along with the blonde waiter were extremely attentive, polite and helpful.

We went for my mates early birthday meal. Great customer service by all the staff and the owner came over and high fived the kids and asked how we all are. Food was great also, thank you for having us we will be back.

Came up from south Devon to see family they brought us here as they live five minutes away they are regulars to you we realy enjoyed it food excellent service excellent and atmosphere excellent thank you so much can't thank you enough

Came for a meal on Sunday 30th June came in quite a large group. Meal was lovely had no complaints about food until it came down to paying, a service charge was added to our bill of £60 which we wasn't told about which we would of all of been happy to pay if they had mentioned this to us the bill came to £600+ and pretty much everyone was paying for their drinks separately so they had pulled in a fair amount of money this evening. I went to pay first and my bill should of been £51 but I ended up paying £76 I question this once I got back to my car I tried multiple times to contact the restaurant over phone, email and Facebook I got no reply so I then rang them on Wednesday 3rd July when they was back open I asked to speak to a manager and as soon as I mentioned that we was the big party from Sunday he started to get heightened and very rude on the phone not letting me get a word in, saying we had booked the room and not payed a fee which was never mentioned, we took over and decorated the room as this was for a 30th birthday nothing was mentioned about us not being allowed to do this, he then offered us a voucher of £25 and I said that I didn't accept this as I wouldn't be returning to this restaurant which then got his back up again him shouting down the phone to me, after speaking to others that came to the meal everyone had been charged £5-7 extra as well as the the £60 service charge one couple had to pay ontop of me paying £25 extra so they have over charged us all by a lot not just the £60 service charge. All in all I do not recommend you go to this restaurant in a big group other wise you will be charged extra without notice and the manager won't be bothered one bit about this.

Must visit! A fabulous dining experience from the moment you are greeted to when you leave. The food was exceptional and the service from the staff was warm, welcoming and professional. We liked it so much we went back on the our last night of the holiday.

Had a lovely family & friends 16th birthday party for my granddaughter at Italio yesterday evening. Food was delicious and the service was great, considering it was a very large party! Absolutely can’t fault them, the girls and the young man working our table were brilliant.. apologies to them for letting off a couple of streamers, we thought it was ok to do it outside the room!! Stupid of us really.. so once again, apologies for creating extra work for you! Thank you to the management team for accommodating so many and to the chefs for getting all that food out in a timely manner. We’ll be back.. if you’ll have us!! 😊

Great food & service as always, Italio consistently serves the best fresh Italian food and has done so for many years. They are a good and very well established restaurant in south shore and all of the staff are a credit to the business, always polite attentive and professional, especially the young staff who are always enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Italio is one of the best or maybe “The Best” Italian restaurant on the fylde and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Not as good as it used to be. No one at front of house, just youngsters serving tables. Food was just OK a little on the salty side. Needs to improve, there's a lot of competition on Highfield Rd, especially with a San Marcos opening soon

Booked a last minute table here and questioned why we don’t come more often. The food was absolutely incredible, I had a special pasta they were testing for their new menu and it was the best pasta dish I’ve had, the boys had pizza which was simply amazing and my partner had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection. The staff were amazing with the children and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent, we will be back.

We all got pizza yesterday and every pizza was uncooked in the middle only the outsides of the pizzas was cooked not good at all we wont be going back there again especially paying £76 the only nice dish was the mushroom stroganoff... The staff was nice but the food was pretty awful..

Me and my wife went in for an early valentines meal, food was fantastic, I had the steak(cooked the way I asked) and all the staff were really welcoming and smiles all round. The only negative thing was there was this one guy in a group of 4 who was very loud( think he had a few) kept insulting people and came out with some homophobic and racist comments, the other 3 in his group found him hilarious, he's just one of these people who need an audience, then the manager came and spoke to him and was very polite in asking him to settle down, by this stage people were actually leaving the restaurant, so I had to get my bit in and tell him for what he was, just a loud rude idiot. But a big thank you to every member of staff and the manager for their professional attitude throughout this whole situation,, We will be back.👍

We went as a family group of 11 for a surprise 80th birthday party for my mum. We were seated in the glass marquee on the car park which was warm enough when the door remained closed but it got chilly if they were left open. Not much atmosphere in there though. The food seemed good but was expensive for what it was compared to other places I have been. Waiting staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. The low rating is due to the attitude of the proprietor. I was taken ill as I was about to leave. I managed to get out of the marquee and i could see another party waiting to go in. I quickly went into a passage leading to the back door of the restaurant where the waiting guests couldn’t see but couldn’t make it any further. I had been feeling a bit off colour that day and I didn’t want anyone to assume it was the food that had caused me to feel that way when that may not have been the case, although on reflection, it may have been a factor as I tried mussels for the first time. The waiting staff were brilliant bringing water and serviettes to me. Unfortunately the proprietor then came out of the kitchen and without stopping to enquire as to whether i was ok or whether I needed any medical help, he proceeded to go into a whinge about having to deal with cross contamination, infection, how it would affect his business and if I was going to do it again. I should find a grid and do it there. I felt belittled. I also felt like I should have done it in the marquee instead. Just for the record, I was stone cold sober as I had driven down from Preston to collect my son from Leigh before driving straight up to Blackpool and I was doing the same journey after the meal. I had two glasses of coke at the meal because I do not drink and drive for anyone. This isn’t a Michelin starred restaurant, It doesn’t even hold a 5 star food hygiene rating from Blackpool Council and the proprietor needs a few lessons In customer service as a business without customers won’t stay a business for very long. I certainly won’t be returning as there are loads better places than this!

We visited Italio for a birthday meal and what a surreal experience. I ordered sea bass but requested no butter as I cannot eat it. I was told that I could have no butter on my fish and vegetables but I would be unable to have the potatoes without butter. I accepted this but why they couldn’t simply microwave some potatoes was beyond me. When the food came it consisted of roasted baby sweetcorn, roasted carrots and the smallest fillet of sea bass I have ever seen. The cost of this was £16.95. At the end of the meal the very polite and young waitress asked if our food was ok. I remarked that what I had was very nice but it was a very small portion for the amount charged. The waitress dutifully took the plates away and the owner was waiting for her as she returned to the kitchen. My husband was sat facing the kitchen and saw the owner manhandle the young girl into the kitchen. He then spoke to her, clearly asking what we had said. He then came out of the kitchen and spoke to my husband, telling him his problems, that myself and my female friend with us were problems and that he also had domestic problems. My husband said that may be the case but we were asked if the food was ok and we replied honestly that what we had was fine but very small. The owner then went into a real strop and did nothing more than tell us we were barred!!!!!! Four professional business people in our 50s and 60s barred for giving feedback that the portions were small. He refused to let us pay and just ranted that we were barred! It was like dealing with Basil Fawlty. We left immediately. The owner is clearly unhinged and has no comprehension of customer service or acceptance of constructive feedback. We eat out several times a week and use all the eateries on Highfield Road. We may be barred from Italio but after our experience last night we wouldn’t have gone back anyway. Eat there if you choose but beware of giving any negative feedback as the owner simply cannot accept it and flys into an uncontrollable temper. The customer definitely isn’t important at this restaurant, the only thing important here is the owners ego.

Starter was amazing!!! I forgot to take a photo. Because it looked so good and it was so tasty. Unfortunately, my pasta was not as good as my starter. My dessert was forgotten. But I was so full anyway. So it was fine.

Was really looking forward to eating here as it was highly recommended so I booked it for my partners birthday. Unfortunately the service was really terrible, we was told due to the wait our drinks would be free which they weren't. The pizzas tasted average. Only positives were the onion rings which were the best Ive ever had and the stuffed Pancake dessert. Won't be going again though.

Can't beat the lasagne here! Went back again on Saturday night and it was superb. Service was top notch and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed our visit. The garlic bread was perfect.

Food was absolutely delicious, flavoursome, well presented and stayed piping hot until the last mouthful. While we were there we contacted our son to tell him about our find and he promptly booked for later that evening for him and his partner. They also enjoyed their food very much and agreed the waiting staff were an asset. The following evening all five of us returned to the restaurant prior to us heading out to a show and once again we could not find any fault whatsoever with the most delicious food and impeccable service. If and when we return to Blackpool we will most certainly return to Italio Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambience 10/10 Value for money 10/10. Well done to everyone . Went tonight for dinner with friends. Service was excellent, very attentive staff and nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing. The cocktail menu is extensive and all perfectly prepared including non alcoholic choices. Very competitive prices all round. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning very soon. What a fabulous meal! We had pate to share - lovely crisp bread plus meaty pate. We both loved it. I had the chicken in cream and my hubby had the beef fillet. So delicious , meat cooked perfectly and the sauces for both were gorgeous, as was the roast potatoes and roasted veg. I had the tiramisu - best I’ve ever had. Good professional service and nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Went with the family whilst on a trip to Blackpool and it's probably the best Italian restaurant we've been in. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Will definitely return next time we are in Blackpool and would have no hesitation recommending the restaurant to others.

Booked last minute and they were able to accommodate us. The food is fabulous, the staff are really friendly and professional and the service is second to none! Definitely the best Italian restaurant in the area by a country mile.

Very Expensive Stale Bread. Frozen pate. Chopped up and pieced together lasagne. Very Rude (Dare I say manageress!!) Talked down to us and made us feel very, uncomfortable. As a "secret shopper" who has eaten in many restaurants. Thankfully I will not have to eat here again. All I can HONESTLY say is... Eat at WINSTONS, a little further up Highfield Road.

Nice garlic bread, okay pasta let down GREATLY by the so called tiramisu….which consisted of 2 dry sponge fingers covered in cream no coffee and no alcohol with a blob of ice cream on top?? Are they Italian? That’s no Tiramisu I hve had before? On mentioning it…no apology…just the bill! At nearly £6 for one I suggest not ordering this particular dessert. I was hoping to visit often with my children but we shall go elsewhere as we adore tiramisu and always order this Italian dessert

Amazing as always. Very welcoming and family orientated. Monica the perfect hostess. We had a mix of pizza, pasta and meat. All cooked to perfection, main course portions are far better now they have reduced size. Far too much went to waste in the past. Dillon continues to make the perfect cocktails and quick service. All the staff are attentive and polite. Being Italian we have high standards and we have never been dissappointed. Well done Nino and Monica. See you soon !

Well what can i say..starters..wine service lovely..hot plates aswell..steak for main course was overdone..sent back..my wife left to eat on her own..they should have took hers back..i dont like my wife eating on her own and me watching we pay a lot of money for a lovely meal out..by the time my steak arrived i did not want it ..the moment of a meal together had gone..made even worse by the blonde haired waitress with tattos who was a bit abrupt...another waitress lucy i think knww exactly were i was coming from and agreed with my opinon...we ended up with both mains taken off the bill..its a shame really as everything was so nice..staff food and atmosphere..i dont normally complain just pay and leave..but on this occasion the way i was propositioned it was a big no...i have not got a problem with this restaurant and if my wifes food had of been taken away at the same time and my new cooked steak came back on a hot not cold plate..things would have been diffrent..i took a pic of the toilet as it should not be left like this..overall i have given 2 stars..which i think is what it deserved..it would have been 4 but the toilet..cold plate..wife eating on her own..in polite lady staff..im sure most people would give a 5..thankyou

Booked a table for 15 people for a family celebration. Pre- ordered our meals to make it easier for the restaurant. Arrived on time at 4.30 to be told they would need table back by 6.30. Thought it a bit odd, but said OK. Waited 45 minutes for our starters, then quite a while for Main meals. (Restaurant wasn't busy). Only 1 young waiter serving all 15 of us so only able to bring 1 or 2 dishes at a time. People also waiting for side orders. Food was good, but it was a bit pricey for portion sizes. Young waiters and waitress very friendly. Far too nice to be working here! Just before we finished main meals, we were asked if we would like more drinks, which we ordered. As soon as we had finished main meals, the older waitress/"manageress" appeared with the bill and card payment machine. (We hadn't even asked for the bill) Bill came to £600+ we had to pay a £60 surcharge!! (Which, apparently, according to the restaurant, isn't a lot of money!!) We then asked the young waiter if we could have the cake that we had taken with us, which he brought to the table with plates, etc. About 5 minutes later, the older waitress /"manageress" returned and was clearly not happy and started giving us dirty looks, rudely saying she's trying to run a business ,mumbling under her breath etc etc. She made the whole atmosphere very awkward. After we ate our desserts we got up to leave, some of the party still hadn't finished their drinks, but we had to leave them. She then approached me saying we had a deal,we said 6.30 and you were 40 minutes late! I was actually there bang on 4.30 as planned. She then told my 76 year old mother that she was barred after my mum commented on how bad the service was! Other restaurants would ask you to maybe sit in the bar area to finish your drinks or desserts but not this place! Also, if they are expecting another party, why not set up another table ? The restaurant wasn't busy. My son was still eating his dessert, so I went back in to speak to him. At this point, a male "manager" snatched the cake knife out of my Son's hand , cutting his hand. My son understandably became rather annoyed, stood up, and flipped the table over. Sadly, the situation became quite heated, and being told to F off isn't very professional. This whole situation could have been avoided if the "managers" understood Customer Service ! You will find better customer service at McDonald's to be honest. They then have the audacity to phone me 3 days later as they are not happy with the comments made on TripAdvisor and accused me of being in their restaurant a few weeks ago, causing trouble and accusing my son of being a drunk driver!! All Lies & Slander!! You should be ashamed of yourselves! Advice to Customers: Don't bother, save your money & go elsewhere ! They completely ruined what should have been a lovely celebration for my daughter!!! Advice to "management": Learn Customer Service Skills AND how to run a restaurant!! P.S. to the guy that said, "Good luck in writing that review." Here you are - enjoy! I wouldn't step back in your restaurant if you paid me!

went for a meal tonight ,my husband ordered a fillet steak well done it came with blood running out , so sent it bk but came bk again with it still being pink so by this time i had nearly finished my meal so we just sent it away , they did take it off the bill but its not the point , ruined the night such a shame because the waitress was lovely not her fault , think the chef needs retraining on how to cook a steak !

Went to Italia on recommendation from hotel and we loved every part that we booked in the following night. Pizzas and pastas are amazing, especially the lobster ravioli. Staff so friendly and welcoming, chatting and engaging with the children also. Could not recommend this restaurant enough. Food, staff and atmosphere is 10/10.

I booked a table for two for my friends birthday and asked the staff if they could do a little something special to the table, and they definitely delivered! The staff were incredible! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was gorgeous, and nothing was too much trouble, we even had a lovely conversation with one of the staff members and how he looks like Stanley Tucci ;) and then we got complimentary birthday shots! Such and amazing, enjoyable night, will definitley be returning! <3

The Italian with no Italian people or atmosphere. The service wasn't great and the food has gone downhill in the last 6 months or so. Not a patch on Ambrossinis which is minutes walk from there. Staff used to be much more attentive, noticing empty glasses and asking why you left the entire salad you ordered, so you could feedback to them how it was warm and limp.

Excellent Service provided by staff and kitchen, polite and professional standard. Location is great, not too far away from the beach, with regards to the cuisine, this restaurant provides good quality Italian food.

What a wonderful restaurant. We visited Blackpool with our two children and found this gem near our hotel. What a found! Absolutely amazing food, every single dish is beautifully presented, perfect size (very generous) portions and delicious. This is probably one of the best Italian food we've had. Children loved it, we loved so much so that we are going back again tonight. Staff is very welcoming too. We can't fault it in any ways. Highly recommend it. Apparently they do the best steak in Blackpool. Guess what I'm having tonight 🤪
