Very little choice for vegetarians and what I did get was very bland. Asked for aribata and it came with half cooked mushrooms in. Will not return

Haven't eaten here yet, but stayed for a drink. Service is very friendly and the atmosphere is nicely Mediterranean.

Read the reviews and thought... wow best give it a try. To be fair a little underwhelmed, fillet steak massively overcooked for medium rare, chips on the side seemed double dipped as super crispy and didn't compliment the steak at all, mushroom far too soggy as if it had been fried rather than grilled. Then dessert, apple crumble with tinned fruits , microwaved in 1 minute given the speed it came out and very poor ice cream.... so food less than impressive, especially considering the price point. Then service... mixed emotions, younger female staff member, not interested, there were just 3 tables... so you'd expect to be noticed, wine empty for 10/15 minutes until I physically asked for more, asked for water at beginning... none arrived all meal, so overall a little disappointed. The other lady was a little more observant and gave good service when she was around.

10/10 italian, food, staff and atmosphere all great

I visited for an evening meal at 18:00 for a table of 6, it is a beautiful little restaurant with a bar at the front. The food was good, clearly made fresh and delivered piping hot from the kitchen, my only comment is that the sauce with the steak fettuccine was a little strong and overpowered some of the flavours. In addition, I was also told some of the chicken in the penne was a little chewy. Given this those were the only minor comments, the presentation and overall quality of the food was great. The garlic bread and seabass were delicious. The service was excellent, servers were polite, attentive and approachable, couldn't ask for a better service. The atmosphere was great as well, some light jazzy music at a perfect volume, along with a rustic italian styled restaurant, my only comment regarding the atmosphere was the chairs being a little hard and uncomfortable for longer periods, I'd like to suggest a small cushion for the chairs which would make them much more comfortable. Otherwise this was a great restaurant, I will be coming back.

My husband and I went for a meal - Monday 24th Feb. From the minute we stepped inside it felt so comfortable, authentic and relaxed. We were shown to our table and given the menus. Staff were super attentive and food was absolutely superb. We will definitely be back next time we are in Bispham and will highly recommended to our friends and family. I recently dined at La Tavola in Bispham and was thoroughly impressed. The service was excellent, with friendly staff making me feel welcome throughout my visit. The food was delicious, and the highlight was the cheesecake, which was simply divine. The restaurant was clean and well presented, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. 

A Wonderful Meal at La Tavola My daughter and I had a fantastic experience at La Tavola. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Their attentiveness and friendliness really stood out, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal. We shared a pizza and a steak pasta dish, both of which were absolutely delicious. The pizza had a perfect crispy base with fresh, flavorful toppings, and the steak pasta was rich, tender, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, making it a great meal to share. The cozy atmosphere and excellent service made the evening even more special. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend La Tavola to anyone looking for authentic Italian food and a great dining experience!

First experience not great no atmosphere young servers English no Italian ambiance sadly plus forgot about us sat waiting ages for mains ..wasn't intending to return but our friends booked it said it had changed owners ...sadly not the case just the same non of us enjoyed the food and not cheap..so definitely will not be returning..sorry!!!

We visited La Tavola 8/02/2025 for the 1st time. My daughter, 2 grandaughters aged 12 and 10 and myself. Wow wow wow...authentic decor and a very warm welcome. Customer service was outstanding with attentive and courteous staff members. Cosy atmosphere and a happy vibe. The food was delicious, we ordered 3 courses each and each course was served hot and not rushed. Drinks were also replenished when glasses were low especially the wine. Good prices for high quality food presented beautifully. We look forward to returning. Thank you & well done La Tavola a little gem of a restaurant xx

Just had an absolutely top notch meal in La Tavola. The food was spot on. The service was absolute class. Brilliant wine and beer selection! We’re only visiting for new years but have already said that if (when) we come back to Blackpool, we’re DEFINITELY coming here again!! Well done to all the staff for a perfect evening!

Service was decent quality and price of food and drink was poor. In particular calzone pizza was soggy to the point of being watery.

Just had the most amazing meal at La Tavola. The food was second to none one of the best lasagne I've had and the garlic mushrooms & the sauce was to die for.Very pleasant & attentive staff nothing was to much trouble. Loved the whole experience & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Very satisfied customers who will definitely be returning with our friends 😊

Reservamos una mesa aquí como nuestro italiano habitual que comemos cuando en Blackpool estaba lleno, pero ¡qué placer! Excelente servicio a pesar de una gran fiesta en una mesa contigua y todo el personal era muy amable. Solo pudimos manejar un plato principal, ya que las porciones son muy generosas, pero realmente disfrutamos de las espinacas y Ricotta Tortelleni. Precios razonables también , 2 tuberías , una botella de vino y una propina 56 libras . Definitivamente volveré.

El mejor restaurante italiano en Blackpool con diferencia. Comida sabrosa muy fresca, excelente servicio. El pastel de queso de limón de la tía Jackie iba a morir. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

Wow! Now under new management and what a wonderful difference. Really fresh food so tasty and Aunt Jackie’s lemon cheesecake was to die for. Would highly recommend

We visited the restaurant as it was my daughters 25th birthday. She had been vegetarian all her life and my self for over 40 years my daughter. My daughters meal was ordered without chicken but when it arrived it had chicken in. The waitress apologised and it was returned for a fresh one to be made sadly this didn't happen the chef had only removed the visible pieces of chicken and return the food. Part way through eating the meal which i had also tasted we found chicken! The front of house staff where wonderful and couldn't apologise enough it spoiled the meal as my daughter wouldn't have anything else as we didn't trust the kitchen. Sadly because of this we won't be returning as it has also led us to question the standards of the kitchen staff thinking that was acceptable. I would like to say again though that the front of house staff were all fabulous

Excellent and genuine Italian restaurant. Superb food with enormous portions. Neither my wife nor I could finish our main course and we have big appetites. Friendly service and good value on the Early Bird menu. Overall a highly recommended choice for a taste of Italy.

Wonderful food and service. All staff very attentive and nothing too much to accommodate us outside with our dog. Sam our dog loved it!

We had a great meal here last Saturday evening and would recommend steak pasta with a hint of cream, soooo good. Would definitely recommend a visit and if we're ever in that area again we would definitely return.

Unbelievable service and the food was absolutely fantastic. One of the best steaks I have ever had. I think the owner is Chloe and she couldn't do enough.

Ate here with my son after a recommendation from a friend. The service was attentive & we were looked after by the waitress from the moment we were seated to when we left. We both ate garlic bread & pizza as were boring, the bases on all the garlic breads & pizzas were crispy & not too doughy which you tend to find at some Italians. All in all it represented good value & we would definitely recommend.

Amazing cocktails and wide range of meal options. The atmosphere is so welcoming and we were lucky to enjoy the entertainment outside in the sun! Would recommend, especially in the winter months after a chilly walk round the illuminations!

Under new management and fair play to them as the food is ace new drinks menu is amazing and very well priced and they make you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in. Some people clearly don't like change but unfortunately way the world works but you want a good Italian La Tavola for me every time

Used to visit regularly when it was La Piazza,first time visit 6/10/24 as La Travola and left disappointed.The place was half full,but we were left waiting too long for a garlic pizza bread starter and then again for a margherita pizza.Neither of the 2 waitresses were attentive enough for drinks,instead having to ask.So missed the old “Italian” guys that used to serve here…Food was ok at best.Interesting that the Italian opposite was packed,maybe the locals know best ??

We ate here on 28th Sept 2024. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. I would definitely eat here again. We had salami pizza, lasagne and king prawn and calamari linguine, and fillet steak. Side of truffle and parmesan fries.

We had a lovely meal here last night Chloe and her team did a fantasic job. I often feel limited as I am Gluten free. Recently more options have been added to the menu here. I had a lovely GF garlic bread with pate and then GF lasagne. Jam packed with flavour it was really lovely and tasty. Service is fantastic and staff are always really lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend. Thank you 😊

Arrived in Blackpool late on Friday 30th Aug and randomly came into this place. I order the lemon chicken linguine and a half and half pizza. Food was delicious and tasty I was gutted when I had finished my meal. The Friday 6th sept was my 40th and I love Italian food already but this place was still on my mind so I brought the rest of the family here to enjoy the meal again. I ordered the same as above with my mum ordering lasagne and my daughter ordering Spag bol with my son just getting a pizza. Portion sizes were big and filling for us all. They surprised me with a happy birthday song and homemade tiramasu which I've never had before and despite it being mine my mum and kids devoured it. Great family business and great service. We will be coming back next time.we are in the area.... highly recommend.

Food has been better, when dined previously. Quite disappointed this time bruchetta was very hard, lasagne had stoggy pasta and no cheese. Tiramasu was just loads of cream no sponge fingers. Very expensive for what it was, prices have increased quite a bit. Staff were very friendly and great service.

Had our 33rd, wedding anniversary meal, the food was amazing, reasonably priced, we would highly recommend and can't wait to call again.

Went last week. Really surprised to find out that the restaurant had been sold/ bought. Been a regular for over a decade with the old owners. Anyways the place was deserted at rush hour on a Friday no less. Staff were nice and professional and the place inside hadn't really changed all that much. The menu has shank dramatically and increased in price. The food took a while to arrive at the table but when it did it was very hot. The taste of the food itself was different, not sure how I feel about it. They have removed the accessibility ramp off to the side and bricked it up.

Great good - Pizza is excellent! Name has changed though so don’t be confused by the signs.

Went here last night with the family. Outstanding food, I had the steak and mushroom pasta, so creamy and big chunks of steak. Hubby had the calzone, enormous! Service was good too, we've been here a few times and they don't rush you along like some places. Lovely friendly family atmosphere.

Would not recommend! We had a table of 9 people booked for 18:45. We had starters which we did not receive until around 19:45 the mains then continued to take a long time and the table did not receive the food till nearly 9pm! I have never been to a restaurant and requested to take desert home due to the length of time the food was taking. They were not particularly busy, there was around 4/5 other tables in there at this time who also seemed to be waiting a long time for food. The staff were not very vigilant and took their time to notice plates needed clearing.

Since coming Uber eats we’ve had takeaways and been in for a meal in the restaurant and it’s been great and they have had every table full… However… We went in last week and it would take a lot for us to return! The restaurant wasn’t even 1/4 filled and we were in there for 3 and a half hours. We ordered a variety of starters for me being the cheese garlic bread (which we’ve had before) it was chewy with little cheese and the pate which was very sloppy. We did have the plain garlic bread which was lovely. The wait between starters and mains was extremely long! We’d ordered a fillet steak which wasn’t tender in the slightest, but the worse being the Carbonara which had split and was full of oil to the point I had to drain it off into a bowl but still couldn’t eat. (Again I’ve had this as a takeaway and in the restaurant previously and it’s been great. We then ordered two desserts which again took an age to come, at this point we were the last table there and once served was the incorrect order, my daughter just ate it rather than waiting another 20 minutes for it to be changed. We also had a problem with a drink but this was rectified. The sauce that came with the steak was fantastic!!! If the resultant was busy I could understand the wait but to take 3.5 hours to serve 7 people was ridiculous and part of the food being inedible. I was really disappointed and don’t think we will be returning.

The food and service is amazingly good by far the best Italian restaurant in Blackpool...Best Calzone I've ever had..must try!!!

A rare evening meal out, visited la piazza on a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed. Food fresh and deicious, atmosphere friendly and service fabulous. Would recommend and will definitely be back. ♥️

Its such a shame that some people feel the need to be so negative, I visited La Piazza this weekend with a large group and 6 of us all had the mushrooms and they were absolutely delicious, 4 of us had the tiramisu and were all in agreeance it was one of the nicest deserts we’ve ever had, the service was excellent as always and the staff couldn’t do enough especially as we had a friend who had special dietary requirements and the staff could not have been more understanding and the lovely Chloe made sure to check everything was okay. We’ve been coming for years and have not had a bad experience yet. Our favourite place to eat. Will be back soon as always x

Use to come here weekly years ago and it’s gone so down hill.. ordered from here 3 times recently and the first time it was really bad. We tried it again thinking it might have been an off day ans it was a lot better. We tried again this time and it will be our last. The dough was old, chewy and wasn’t stretched properly due to being old. The chicken goujons were chewy and tasteless. The beef stroganoff was nice, but we originally ordered and paid for salmon newberg. We were called and told the salmon was not available and had to pick something else. I ordered beef stroganoff but didn’t want it with rice so swapped it for veg. The stroganoff is cheaper than the salmon yet we didn’t received a partial refund so we overpaid. The woman brought me my food and was walking around for about 5 minutes trying to find a stapler and when I kept on insisting I don’t need my food stapled shut I was ignored and after 4 comments I receive the rude remark “it needs stapling, you’re a delivery driver aren’t you..” and when I said it’s my food, all I got was an oh, and was handed my order. They also forgot some of it so I had to go back and wait standing there holding my order waiting for the rest. You can tell it’s not the original and it’s a shame.

Don't know what's happened here, always been very good food and service but the quality has suddenly change , starters mains and tiramasu not as per the usual standard, a group booking and sadly don't think any of us will be returning. The mushrooms in particular which we have had on numerous occasions were bland very little sign of both cheese and breadcrumbs and a tasteless sauce. could have bought a tastier tiramasu from a chain store.

Superb pizza ! Generously topped with pepperoni red onion & cherry tomatoes making it sweet & delicious ***** An update following our last visit to La Piazza Wow what a great day ! We visited the restaurant this time on May day bank holiday Sunday the weather was stunning & so was the food & drink, the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble (this was our first dine in previously we had takeaway) on the lovely terrace at the front of the restaurant there was a young lady (Amy) singing Beautifully ! The atmosphere was exceptional ! So we began our visit on the terrace with possibly the best pint of Peroni in Lancashire ice cold & very welcome on a red hot afternoon we then moved inside to dine, the inside is every bit as impressive as the outside very authentic decor & the vespa on the front of the bar looks so cool ! The tables are big with plenty of room around them and the cutlery, plates, dishes & glasses were spotlessly clean I had the "la-Piazza" house special pizza which was simply amazing my wife who isn't a pizza fan had a slice & couldn't believe it ! She had the Carbonara that she had previously as takeaway & it was quite wonderful even better than she remembered, we shared a garlic bread with cheese that was out of this world & washed it down with house red that was both fruity & very good value (been Mama's of old Guilliano days customers) we can't believe how lucky we are to discover this Little Gem in the Blackpool area ! Keep doing what you're doing La Piazza see you really soon ! Ps we have also had takeaway again since this visit A1 *****

Every time I travel up to Blackpool for the dancing, I always have to go here because the food it too delicious. The staff are lovely and always do their best and more. I had the lasagne, strawberry refresher and tirimisu. All of them were so so mouth watering. I can't wait to come back next year!

This is probably the best Italian restaurant I've ever been in. Staff are polite & friendly without being intrusive. Food is reasonably priced but excellently cooked and presented. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely little place.You walk through the door and the smell smacks you in the face.Only a hint of the lovely food they serve here.The wonderful smell adds to the lovely atmosphere,i came today with my children.But this place would make for a lovely date night its so nice inside.We were served by lovely staff in a beautifully clean and pretty restaurant.Food was served in good time and hot . Freshly made and freshly served.I had the carbonara,it was so heavenly.Such a wonderful creamy but rich and cheesy taste. Absolutely perfect and even my fussy daughter loved her food.We all had a wonderful time today thank you

Food came really quickly and was lovely and hot. The garlic bread base was lovely and fresh and the tomatoes used on it tasted really good quality. The selection in the seasonal veg was big and my Carbonara was really tasty and high quality. Would happily recommend.

An amazing Valentines night for my husband and I. Staff were attentive, excellent service, the food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant, very nice for couples or families. You won't be disappointed.

I recently visited La Piazza with my family and daughter. I am gluten free and cannot eat nuts or fish due to allergies. Chloe and her team were fantastic at looking after us all and my dietary needs. The gluten free tomato garlic bread was yummy and the gluten free pasta was super tasty and fresh. The rest of my party were really happy with thier meals, my daughter loved her food too which is rare so yey! We had a fantastic evening and will definitely be back soon. I find it so hard to eat nice food due to my restrictions but they had plenty of options for me here. Thank you so much 😀❤️🌈

Have been here on 2 occasions previously but wont be returning. Service is very good but have now had 2 bad visits. A lesson learned. Food poor and served cold.

We visited Blackpool and were staying in Bispham. We rang at 5.10pm on New Year’s Eve not holding out much hope for a table. The restaurant bent over backwards for us and managed to accommodate us. We arrived and was seated quickly. It was a set menu however my daughter did not like anything on there. They offered her the children’s menu and a choice of pizza or pasta which she chose. The service was brilliant the food was phenomenal and we had a fantastic family meal on New Year’s Eve . Thank you so much xx

Thought we would try somewhere different for a change, starters chicken livers white wine garlic chilli bland couldn’t taste any chilli whatsoever Mrs enjoyed her calamari, garlic bread doughy, I had fillet steak scrappy piece of steak ever peppercorn sauce tasteless, Mrs enjoyed her lasagne it was disappointing will not return there are far better restaurants in Bispham

No atmosphere, food was over salted, over cooked and sadly, I doubt we will ever return. We have dined here on a regular basis for many years, but over the last few months it has lost everything good. The staff just do their job. There is no atmosphere, no chat, no fun anymore. The food tonight - doughy floury garlic bread, over salted chicken had to be sent back to the kitchen. When the dish was returned, the chicken was overcooked, the sauce was watery and uninteresting. We used to love this place and are so sad that a once truly fabulous restaurant is now a shadow of its former self. 😢

5 stars all the way for this Italian restaurant, the food was absolutely scrumptious, I ordred pizza gluten free but you wouldn't have known it was the best pizza I've tasted. My son's steak was devine, everything was beautifully cooked, the service was second to none, the staff were very attentive, great drinks menu, great food menu and it had a lovely authentic Italian feel to the place, we felt like we were on holiday in Italy, I definitely would recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning, thankyou for making it a wonderful experience

Disappointing,, no atmosphere, no chat from waiters …had garlic mushrooms each awful ,, watery , bland … garlic bread dry …pizza ham and mushroom,, tasteless looked more like tuna..lasagna looked like tomato soup ..waste of money …advise would be to employ a new chef and improve ambiance of place ..

We were a walk on to this restaurant and afterwards wished we had kept on walking. Food was bland and uninspiring, decor the same. Waiting staff are not the most helpful. So the food, my wife, had the chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce, which was bland and very thin, not as described. Well, as you say, chefs with over 40 years of experience should know what they need to do. As for me giving lots of negative reviews, I don't think I have only given my humble opinion. When food is poor, what can I say, I can only give a review on what is presented in front of me. Sorry if that offends.

Fantastic food and ambience, this is the go-to place for authentic Italian cuisine. Could not rate this restaurant highly enough, next time we are in the area we will be back. The lasagne was delicious, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian options available. If you haven't tried La Piazza before, this place should be next on your dining-out list!

Just awful. We have been coming here for 30 years... but never again! Everything about this place has lost its sparkle. The food was simply below par for the prices they charge & compared to the standards we always used to receive and expect from this once upon a time, little gem of a restaurant. The staff are miserable, unsmiling, and disinterested. Atmosphere was zero.
