We ordered the ravioli and carbonara. It took a long time until the food arrived despite there not being very busy. The ravioli was ok but the carbonara was cold and very undercooked and so we did not eat any of it. They offered to make a new one but we declined as we were in a hurry.

This place is def overall good...but if I'm honest I thought portions were small and a nit overrated. Hand made fresh as can be, and they customized a bit when asked. Def tasty though but I found it a bit overall under whelming. Service Excellent and super friendly

The smallest carbonara I have ever seen, and charged way above average. On top of this the male toilet was in awful conditions and they add the service charge to the bill without even saying it, which is quite pretentious

Menu seems amazing and appealing and it tricks you with the authentic look but don’t be fooled. Service and food was dire. Had a very inexperienced waiter and all the other experienced waiters / owners seemed like they did not want to be there at all. Took ages to order despite being the only other table in there. I’ve never waited so long for Bread and olive starters and even then the bread was over baked and hard. When the mains came, one member couldn’t finish the prawn pasta as it was bland and overcooked. We all found our pasta overcooked and sickly. They forgot about our polenta chips and when we asked there was no apology it just arrived later and there were literally 7 total (overcooked) chips in one portion which was shocking and when I addressed this nicely to the waiter, he spoke to me like an idiot as if I didn’t know what polenta chips were despite me having order d it before at restaurants. When the bill came we asked for one of the mains to be taken off and the person serving us was extremely rude and asked why even though we explained. Eventually the bill was adjusted. Overall, maybe we got unlucky but this was the first place I’ve ever been to where pasta has been awful and the staff we came across here were miserable and lifeless. Can get away with poor service when the food is decent but that wasn’t the case. I do not recommend this place to anyone!

Big shout out to laura and Francesco our servers, so attentive and kind. Even gave my partner a surprise profiterole with a candle in for his birthday without me even asking. The ravioli was a bit cold when served and the ravioli is a bit too thick while the mushroom sauce is really good. The gnocchi texture is a bit too soft and lacks a bite and the truffle creamy sauce lacks the truffle flavor. Tiramisu lacks a bit of alcohol flavor. Loved their coffee.

Discovered this place several years ago and it’s hands down my favourite restaurant in Manchester. Inside has a very basic feel but everything is fresh and clean, the food is exceptional and is freshly prepared in the open kitchen which is visible to diners. Wine list is great and service is always quick and friendly. The menu is quite changeable with a good mix of specials

I’m telling you , the goddam carbonara was life changing. Ok fine it’s a bit of an exaggeration but it really was that good 🤪 We enjoyed the pork cheek which was crispy and salty, it perfectly complements the pecorino and fresh pasta. The only dish I didn’t enjoy was the appetiser specials, the Parma ham and melon. The cured ham was nothing to shout about , I’ve tasted better. All in all, great service and good food. Loved it! 💕

This restaurant would be great….. in kitchen nightmares. What has happened to the menu, I can’t understand why there was need to change from its fabulous fusion and classic dishes which offered something for everyone to something that looked and tasted like a British person made it in their uni flat. I had always looked forward to pasta factory in past my favourite was the miso and scallop ravioli, now it’s just lost all soul and taste. First of all the my starter, you can see it’s not a Burrata (which we were told about) but mozzarella… why call it a Burrata on the menu?? It just looks absolutely awful, sitting it what look like water and wet 3 day old lettuce, not Italian greens! Also nothing cherry about the tomatoes it came with, they look like they came from a can! Why can’t the dish come with rocket and mixed coloured tomatoes! It’s just was so vile, no presentation or taste, also the chef forgot the croutons. This dish was made with no passion! The main, while looking through the menu, I wanted to make something different and something I wouldn’t make at home, i tried the gnocchi, and it was just vile. Over done and just boring, even my partners ravioli ragu came out semi cold, and looked like dog food, mini raviolis with the ragu on the outside, it looked like it came out of can. It’s been a long time since we’ve sent something back but here we are. I brought my friends here and was totally embarrassed, I kept apologising to them for the food quality, needless to say, we had dessert at another restaurant! I don’t know what’s gone wrong, whether the chef left or new owners have violated the menu with awful fried olives and dishes I wouldn’t feed to my worst enemy, but I would avoid pasta factory until they can sort their menu out. No drink vouchers could make me come back and look a mozzarella in wet old lettuce again. Those poor servers who work there dealing with this!

This is a great laid back place and whilst the portions are on the small side, they're incredibly filling. Get ready for a delicious carb fest! We had bread and oil to begin with, and we got a huge pile of fresh bread which was delicious, with enough leftover to mop up all the sauce from the pasta after. Pasta - i had the pork cheek carbonara, and my partner had one with caramalised pear in. Both were divine. Mine was a little stodgier than his, so i only ate half, but i enjoyed what i managed! My only criticism is that the pork cheek in mine tasted slightly on the burnt side. Don't go here if you want a quick meal - theres quite a wait between ordering food and actually getting it, i suspect due to it all being cooked so fresh. But the service is good and the staff attentive with drinks etc in the meantime, so its not a huge problem.

Me and my friends were looking for a comforting meal and we definitely received it!! The food was homey and the atmosphere was warm and comfy. Not only that, they were dog friendly, so the waiter offered to make a special meal for her. The waiter Francesco was very polite and friendly. Will definitely recommend!!

The food was ok, but the service was an absolute disaster. When I asked for faster service after 20 minutes wait, the waiter (slim with beard) had the audacity to give me a sarcastic look. Unbelievable! And to top it off, they sneaked in a 10% service charge without asking me first. Once I realized it after leaving, I was livid. I would never willingly pay for such atrocious service. I’m definitely never going back—what a joke of a place!

I went for the first time as I live close. Got carbonara which was ok not anything impressive. The ragu was nice but again not that impressive. The biggest issue was with the mushroom ravioli. The mushrooms on the sauce were like boiled in texture, very watery and overall inedible (I am not a fussy eater at all and very rarely find things indelible). These mushrooms were one of the most disgusting things I have eaten. I told the waitress in a polite manner that they were inedible at the end of the service and expected the plate to be taken out of the bill or discounted at least. None of that was done. I don’t recommend this place clearly they don’t care enough about their costumers.

Attended The Pasta Factory and Noi Quattro through a Virgin Experience Masterclass gift voucher bought for me by my daughter. A fabulous experience with a great class presenter in Julia who was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and a great pasta tutor. The session started with a glass of Prosecco followed by a class session learning the different types of pasta ingredients, using tools and equipment to make different pasta shapes and given recipes about the different sauces and fillings to use. The class session was followed by us going across to Noi Quattro Restaurant where our pasta was cooked and sampled. A final preparation dish of pasta with mushroom and truffle was served which was delicious. My friend and I went home with our remaining pasta to cook at home, apron and bag also in hand. Well worth the monies paid and definitely a recommended experience for any pasta lovers.

I booked the pasta masterclass for my partner’s birthday. It was outstanding!! So fun to learn how to make proper pasta from scratch, Julia was an amazing teacher and made the experience perfect. Going to the restaurant to have our pasta cooked by the chefs with the freshest sauces while sitting and chatting with other pupils was so so lovely. I recommend this to anyone!

My partner got me the pasta master class for my birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. Julia and Francesco were great hosts, they facilitated the group really well and was really supportive throughout with tips and tricks. The experience was complete with complimentary Prosecco on arrival, and a pasta dish at the end. We can’t wait to continue making pasta at home ourselves now and have the confidence to do so thanks to them! 10/10 would recommend.

We went to Manchester to a gig and arrived at he hotel late Fri evening we walked down the road to the Pasta Factory and we were seated quickly even though it was 21.45. A small menu, but with a nice range of items on it. We had 2 lovely pasta dishes and some delicious kale chips. The house Merlot was delicious, and the staff friendly and efficient. We liked it so much we went the next night as well.

A must-do while you’re in Manchester! Delicious food, fantastic service, friendly atmosphere, and extremely accommodating and attentive staff. We had a variety of pasta dishes, plus the bread (and trio of dips- delish!), bellinis and a couple glasses of red wine. One member of our party is in a wheelchair, and the staff even brought out a little ramp to make entry and exit to the restaurant easier, and the bathroom has easy access as well. Good people, great food, will absolutely be back in the future.

Honestly, after seeing the restaurant's rating and reviews I expected a lot more. Good pasta but nothing exceptional, in fact the best thing was my gnocci, my sister's and my friend's pasta were a bit "plain", everything was quite bland in general. What I do have to highlight is that the focaccia was terrible, a mass of dry and tasteless bread. The place is cute and the service is good although slow when serving.

Pasta buena pero nada excepcional, de hecho lo más rico fueron mis gnocci, la pasta de mi hermana y de mi amiga fueron un poco "sin más", bastante soso todo en general. I was very excited to visit this place - being Italian. The entrance to the place was promising, with many references to Italian cooking traditions. Unfortunately, the rest was not aligned. The gnocco fritto was extremely hard, cooked in a way I deem unusual and in an extremely small portion. I then ordered a pasta which was supposed to have some truffle flavour, but the distinctive flavour of truffle was not detectable to me. I would have ordered dessert but based on food had until then decided to skip. Interior felt a bit dated. Shame as I believe the place and concept has plenty of potential

If you want to eat real homemade Italian pasta, which they also sell to eat at home, you have to come to The Pasta Factory. Simple but very nice place, run by almost all Italians. The boy from Sardinia, whose name I don't remember, who welcomed us and served us was very nice and it was a pleasure to have a chat with him. After various dinners in the pubs, it was a pleasure to eat a nice carbonara with a good wine, obviously you pay for quality.

Last minute decision to head to Manchester for lunch today with my husband. We always try to visit The Pasta Factory every few months to get our Italian/pasta fix. Small but wonderful menu, with interesting & tasty options. We had the burrata & the calamari to start - both beautiful! My husband was practically licking the bowl after he’d finished the calamari. For pasta we had the pesto & burrata bucatini, & the squid ink bucatini with cured tuna in a black garlic sauce & chilli oil - wow! Perfect size portions, if anything I struggled to finish mine but it tasted too good to leave. Great service from Francesco & Laura, but then again it’s always good service with you never feeling rushed. We’ll be back soon 😊

Went there slightly late and they were super good about us being late. The pasta was amazing. As a gluten intolerant person, it’s not often I get to east good pasta when out but they had it and it was fantastic. Tried my friends dishes and can recommend the squid ink dish. Me and my friends spontaneously decided to come here because we saw that they offered handmade gluten-free pasta, ideal for our friend who is intolerant, though they clearly cater to those with allergies as well where cross-contamination is a bigger issue. We were late for our reservation and the wonderful people there generously waited for us despite being minutes away from closing the kitchen. The pasta and all of the sauces were divine. Clearly all made from scratch, it felt like we'd magically entered through a portal and landed in a real Italian trattoria. My pasta cost £15, that is so decent given the freshness and the quality of the ingredients — I've paid around the same or more for pasta in other restaurants where it's just from a box and only cost pennies to make. Everyone was so friendly and patient with us, I truly cannot recommend this place enough, food and service were both outstanding. I am sad I don't live in Manchester but I will be returning!

Lovely restaurant with delicious food. The thing that always spoils it for me is this ridiculous service charge. Leave it off the bill and let the patrons decide on the tip, don't embarrass people by making them ask for it to be removed. It just spoils the occasion.

Julia's pasta making class was fantastic! Her expertise and enthusiasm made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The hands-on approach was great, and the end result was delicious. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned cook, I highly recommend this class.
