Loses a star only for the base of the pizza - thin as paper. I couldn't bring this up as mine was a takeaway. Young man cross-armed never returned a friendly welcome like whom I assumed was his father so had to ignore him. But lesson learned.

Beautiful restaurant, very clean and stylish. Friendly staff Danny Manager is amazing. Quick lunch visit, had a perfectly cooked delicious authentic pizza. Light crispy base full of flavour quality toppings. Finished off with a delicious home made tiramisu and an espresso. Probably the best pizza I ve had in the uk. 10/10 great food excellent service just what didsbury needs. Can’t wait to go back and try the pasta dishes all looked fantastic.

Came for a family meal with grandparents and a toddler this afternoon. We ordered the 2 course lunch deal which was good value for money and valid on a Saturday. The food was great; we loved the flavours of the pollo alla crema and primavera risotto. The margherita pizza and garlic bread were heavenly, fresh from the pizza oven in the back of the kitchen. Waiting time wasn't too long despite arriving during the busy lunch period and a special mention to our attentive waitress who was super friendly and efficient. We look forward to coming back!

Me and the mrs have just left Bella vita and wow what an experience. Hands down the best Italian food either of us have eaten, I had the spaghetti and meatballs and she had the carbonara. We couldn’t have been looked after anymore, amazing service amazing ambiance and phenomenal food.

Very good quality, and reasonably priced. Don't bother with Franco Manca next door! 😄 The pizza here is really good here. My missus had the lasagne al forno, which was excellent.

Food was really nice service was fairly good. Was disappointed that they added a service charge as it should be optional and personally didn't think it warranted a tip.

My favourite Italian restaurant. Including the ones in Italy. I must’ve eaten a third of the menu now and I’ve never once had a disappointing meal. Garlic bread is served like a pizza and is incredible. The best meals you can get from here are the stuffed chicken or the lasagna. Service is always great and price is well worth the amount and quality of food you get. Such an underrated restaurant I recommend it to everyone

We visited for a second time on a Saturday lunch time after a great visit the first. This time we were the only ones in there and I’ve no idea why. The food and service were excellent. We ordered the nduja tortelloni and linguini vongole and both agreed they were the best pasta dishes we’ve had for a long time. We also ordered a kids spaghetti bolognese which was a hit when she eventually ate it a few hours later as they boxed it up for take away. We’ll definitely be back!

Poor service. Two of the things we asked for didn't arrive. Food was average. We left early to go somewhere else for dessert, as we were not offered a dessert menu and they made it obvious they wanted us out early.

Not a lot of good things to say about the food to be honest. Went to here for Valentine’s Day and had no trouble getting a booking only a couple days before for peak hour, which was good I guess. We ordered half and half garlic bread, lobster ravioli with prawns and a chicken Parmesan pizza. The garlic bread was the only okay dish, but the cheese was tough and rubbery. The lobster ravioli was bland and didn’t taste fresh. The shrimps on top were overcooked to hell, tough and firm. The pizza had bits of unseasoned chicken on top and the cheese was also rubbery. Really disappointing seeing as though this place has 4.7 stars on google, but I guess there was a reason I could get a booking just a few days before one of the best nights for restaurants. Service was okay at the start, although when we clearly didn’t like the food I think the waiter grumbled something but I couldn’t tell. He then started pointing at us and talking to other staff so I can only assume what was going on with that. Maybe we ordered the wrong food but I would not go here again to be honest.

I ordered the ravioli all’aragosta and this is how it came, £17 and I got 4 pieces of ravioli and 2 small prawns. I’m extremely unhappy with what arrived as I don’t feel it’s good value for money at all. Very disappointed.

We were recommended to visit this restaurant but unfortunately we were really disappointed. While the food was generally 'ok', the service was not good. After our starters we were sitting looking at our empty plates for a long time. It was very hard to get anyone's attention for drinks, with staff dealing with a lot of deliveroo orders. Our first main course arrived 2 hours after we first sat down, with us waiting half an hour between our first main course arriving at the table and our last one arriving, so a lot of people eating cold food. They came back to clarify our order so it may have been forgotten, but no one said anything to us. We'd also wanted to try their pizzas and ordered a few to share. These didn't arrive until we'd eaten the rest of our main courses. Whilst I appreciate when restaurants are busy things take longer in the kitchen, but no one came to apologise, give us an update, see if we wanted any more drinks or clear the plates even though the staff were stood nearby, and still added a large tip to the bill without any comment.

Can't believe it was our 1st visit to this restsurant as it's been opened for a while. It definitely won't be our last. The service and food were exemplary and it was reasonably priced. Thanks for a lovely meal and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Even though the pizzas were not on for our most recent visit this is a great place for some typical Italian dishes cooked to a high standard, presented well, and accompanied by a good selection of wines with great service.

The food was delicious. Had some really tasty tuna bruschetta (amazing bread!) with penne all'arrabbiata, and a pizza for my partner. The pizza base dough was a bit too thin, however, but still really good. About the service, we weren't asked if we wanted the starters together with our mains, and even though the menu said we could ask for any kind of tonic for the gin&tonic combos, the waiter said there was actually only one option. So perhaps updating/changing the menus (as they looked a bit old anyway) soon would be an idea to consider. Overall, we had a nice time as we really loved the food, and we'll most likely go back next time we fancy an authentic Italian meal.

A last minute decision and our first visit but definitely not our last! Lovely venue, really tasty and well presented food, our photos don’t do it justice. The scallops dolcelatte and prawn starters were delicious as were our mains. We had the seafood risotto and the Nduja ravioli, again superb. Finished the meal with a tiramisu, perfect end for a fantastic meal. Great service. Highly recommend.

We went for a birthday lunch and had the set lunch menu. The spicy meatballs were delicious and the pizza was so tasty. Service was also v good.

Enjoyable food and service but a little too noisy. Some of this was from other tables so cannot be helped. However, the muzak was hardly background - much too loud for relaxing during a meal.

Horrible waiter, the dark one, he was very rude to us. We asked kindly if we could join the two tables as we had a toddler but he’s simply not sympathised - been so rude and sarcastic we’d never eat there,

Extremely tasty little restaurant down Didsburys main road, not a large restaurant but enough that we were seated immediately. Food and service was quick. The food itself was divine, one of the best pasta dishes I've had to date and the pizza though maybe too oily for me was a true authentic pizza with amazing flavour. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great place to eat Italian

OK..cards on the table..I am not a big fan of Italian. I can cook most dishes at home to a high standard. Casta was on a Didsbury dice roll and this one won. (His Granny makes the best pizza ever.) It is a very good restaurant. Good wine and food. Very good service. The staff were very attentive. Loved my salmon pasta.

the customer service my partner received when coming to collect our food was shocking. He was very obviously discriminated against and judged as soon as he stepped through the door he was met with hostility by your staff, and treat asif he shouldn’t be there. He was also asked to wait by the door when collecting his food which is very strange?? He tried to come in to collect it and the man at the desk told him to go and wait by the door ! And not to mention the fact your staff presumed he was a delivery driver and was questioning him?! this is very clearly judging him by his race and stereotyping him as a delivery driver due to him being of asian ethnicity. Not happy at all. Very judgmental and discriminative. I hope next time you get a customer who isn’t white or doesn’t fit your “ ideal customer look “ you don’t treat them the way you treat my partner. You should be ashamed.

A hidden gem in this lovely neighborhood. Their lunch menus are £11.95 for 2 courses. And their portions are not only generous, but huge! First when they served the appetizers, I thought it was the main courses we ordered, so I basically had two pizzas all for myself! Luckily my hubby helped to finish them all, probably because the food were all very delicious. We really enjoyed the meal, thank you :)

This place is great. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything are outstanding, my tagliatelle Al Salmone with white Gavi wine might have been the best meal I have ever been served😋 Service was delightful and very professional. 10/10

Incredible authentic Italian restaurant. Cozy and romantic. The mussels, pasta and pizza are all amazing, and the staff make you feel very welcome. Thank you very much for making my new favourite drink - an Old Fashioned! Absolutely delicious and they asked what type of whiskey I would prefer (how sweet or savoury I wanted it) to make the cocktail exactly to my taste. Top tier customer service.

I have never experienced customer service quite like we had here. My husband orderef the Diavola pizza but only ate one slice as the chilli was more than he could deal with. Spotting the issue, they quietly made him another without the chilli and boxed the original for us to take home and try again the next day. Brilliant

I been in this nice little restaurant this evening, with my family, everything is very nice, a give 4 stars because in my seafood risotto was to much garlic, that covered the fish taste, and when I complained to the chef, him replyed that he didn't put any garlic on, I found this a bit offensive because I am not stupid, I work in the kitchen too, and I know the taste of garlic, but a part this I liked the tiramisù and I appreciate the free shots of limoncello at the end of the dinner! Probably we'll be back

Really disappointed with the quality of the pizza. Poorly cooked and with just a lump of uncooked mozzarella off to the side. Reheated chips. Not great tbh.

Lovely meal, made an impromptu visit without a booking but we were accomodated. We started with njuda brushetta which we shared. I had the tagliatelle salmone which was full of fresh veg and salmon in a tasty cream sauce which was delicious and my partner had the pizza diavola which he realy enjoyed. We would definitely visit again 😋

The fresh focaccia, never had it so good, with olive oil and balsamic to dip! Then the risotto with clams and other seafood, very soft creamy texture and the herbs they put were fantastic... Spicy and topped with parmesan shavings. The tagliatelle Al gamberoni also recommended perfect ingredients and seasoning. Desserts matched the starters and mains the tiramisu was a great way to finish a fantastic dinner. We can recommend everything we tried! Staff was attentive and genuinely interested to know how we found the food.

Best restaurant I’ve tried so far in a really long time. The food was excellent, great lunch menu, fair prices and the service was the most professional. We were looked after very well. We are definitely coming back. This restaurant is a gem.

Absolutely disgusted with the service at the restaurant. After numerous issues with the meal I told a staff member that I wasn’t happy paying for my main meal as I didn’t eat it as it was bland and inedible. The hostile and aggressive response I got back was uncalled for. After my opinion was challenged by the waiter he walked off and was heard shouting and bashing things in the kitchen and we could hear him voicing his anger at our complaint. As I work in hospitality myself I understand sometimes things go wrong but the response we had was disgusting. I would never eat here again and suggest if you’re thinking of dining here to choose another restaurant.

Service took a long time, the starters came before the drinks and we had to ask for the drinks again. Ordered the tagliatelle al gameroni and it was flavourless, I only ate the prawns from the dish. When telling the staff they had a rude response and was trying to argue with us telling us it was the best. After paying the bill we noticed we had been over charged and had to be refunded our money back. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, Wouldnt return .

Came here after a friend recommended it... Had the risotto. Honestly the most salty risotto I have ever tasted... Was like tasting seawater. Might have been a mistake by the kitchen, but noone even came to ask how the food was. Quite surprised and disappointed given all the good reviews.

All three ingredients matched perfectly. Food, Staff and Ambiance. What a refreshing place! The food is great, not pretending to be what it’s not; it’s an easy going food menu and executed perfectly. The staff are attentive without being overbearing. They are so welcoming and make feel at ease straight away. What struck me the most is that the above two would not be as memorable as it was without the “buzz” you feel from the atmosphere. You feel the tables are close from each other but very quickly you discover that it contributes enormously to the vibe of the place. Why is this important? Because it’s usually noisy and over friendly staff who creates that ambiance in an Italian restaurant and it’s cringeworthy. Here, it’s everything. Perfect harmony. Food, staff and ambiance. It’s hard to do and it hat a lovely place. We will be back 100%!!

Had lunch here with a friend today (Wednesday 19 August) Very welcoming staff, great menu, service excellent, food authentic and well presented. The best pizza I have had in Didsbury. My friend enjoyed a bowl of pasta. A welcome addition to the dining scene here in the village. Add it to your list of places to visit! Update 9 November 2021 Lunch in this great restaurant today. Same comfortable environment, great staff, amazing food at fabulous prices. Had the sea bass, beautifully cooked and presented..... friend had chicken fillet..... just great food, well presented and amazing price at this quality ..... keep it up guys

I have been here 3 times in the last few weeks with 2 of my sisters , one of who is disabled and we have enjoyed every visit . the staff are very accommodating when we have asked for things not on the menu.. the food is great and ample sized servings . the staff are always very pleasant and charming and the food has always been very tasty. pizzas are great . we have been here for both lunch at 2pm and dinner at 8pm. we usually pop in after hospital visits and there is always parking in the street available...we will be back Wednesday for our weekly visit !

Came.for steak only 1 fillet left so change mine for chicken the veg doesn't come with it and the kitchen had to be asked. The steak.come and I think it was sirloin ? The plate wasn't particularly presented.nice Asked for water twice ,then it came. Chicken dish not nice. I would.come again but for pizza as they looked lovely, couldn't say anything as it was a birthday meal and didn't want to spoilt it.

Delicious food at a very reasonable price. Service was quick and friendly. Had starters, mains, and desserts, especially recommend the Trio Bruscetta and the Risotto al Funghi. Server was able to recommend an amazing wine. Will definitely be coming again!
