Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza in Manchester

Decent pizza but not enough toppings :(

Visited on a Thursday night on the off chance of a quick bite to eat before a work event across the road. We only had 45 mins to grab something to eat before the event. When we arrived it was packed. We asked the waiter the ETA on food and explained our situation. He advised he would have food in front of us in 25 mins. We were seated at the bar overlooking the fresh pizzas being made. Our order was taken immediately and arrived fresh to us within 15 mins of arrival allowing us to eat, pay and dash within 45 mins. Super impressed with the customer service, the food was absolutely gorgeous too! Would recommend this place for sure!

The pizza is amazing, however they are not answering their phone and Rudy the dog is dead which is kind of a bummer. Stavros did a good job though

Server was great, food is always awesome, quick turn around especially at lunch time but FOH looked like they had been dragged out of bed. Took no notice of the door opening and barely looked up when I said hello. She was glued to her phone . Ignored me and my group when we left too even after we said thanks and good bye. Why would anyone come back?

I recently visited Rudy‘s pizza and had an amazing experience. The service was exceptional with a really lovely waiter called Louis who made the visit even more enjoyable, despite the busy atmosphere the food and drinks were served promptly and everything was delicious. Overall it was a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend anyone looking for a great pizza and excellent service. Big shout out to the staff there, especially our servers Tom and Louis/louie they all really went above and beyond to make the experience amazing for all the customers.

The food was excellent. Service could've been quicker. We did visit just before Christmas though, and it appeared they were prioritising delivery orders.

We visited for our anniversary and Saffron was our waitress and made sure we had everything we needed and we were well looked after. Stavross made our experience extra special and had great food recommendations. The pizzas are amazing and the homemade tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had, will definitely come again and can’t recommend more

This is my first bad experience at Rudy’s unfortunately, it’s usually been good. Ordered food for Takeaway and was told to wait outside, they would call my name when ready, and that it should be 10 to 15 minutes. After half an hour of waiting outside (it’s -3° tonight) still no word of any pizza and nobody had called my name to say it was ready as they said they would after half an hour and asking if it was ready, it turns out the pizza had been ready for 20 minutes, but nobody had bothered to tell me which meant that the pizza should be sat out waiting for 20 minutes. The pizza was luke warm and had gone really dry which it usually isn’t. As mentioned usually a good experience, but unfortunately, on this occasion, it was a letdown and a very dry pizza, no doubt because it was sat under a heater for 20 minutes while no one bothered to tell me it was ready.

Really lovely pizza. Excellent service and good value. Highly recommended.

I just want to say thank you to the amazing staff at the Peter St restaurant in Manchester. My fiancé and I ordered a pizza through Deliveroo and it never arrived. So we decided to walk to the restaurant to find out more information and to inform them about what had happened. Not only were they supportive and helpful but they made another order there-and-then for us for no charge. This was very kind and greatly appreciated by both of us. We had dinner here on the evening of December 31st on New Year's Eve. Excellent, really good pizza, excellent service, the girl in the room Giorgia was very good and made herself helpful and kind. Well done everyone!

First time at Rudy’s yesterday evening with my bestfriend and we really enjoyed it. We were served by Nico who was very friendly and attentive but also added to the authenticity with his Italian which fulfilled our experience. The food and drinks came very fast and were both delicious but also well presented. We loved the atmosphere as it reminded us of our holiday in Italy and I’m sure it will be even better in summer! Once again, thank you to our waiter Nico who was very patient and knowledgeable with the menu and recommendations! Cannot wait to return!

It's not a pizza it's Rubber 😡

Called here by chance late afternoon on New Years Eve. Although no booking we got lucky and were shown straight to a great table in the canopy area. Having been here many times before we ordered our favourite Pizzas and a bottle of red wine (Montepulciano). The food was amazing as ever and the service was great. Even though new branches are showing up all over greater Manchester this one in the City remains our favourite and long May it continue. Ciao.

It always looks busy but there is plenty of space inside so don't be fooled!!! Best pizza we have ever eaten in Manchester, hands down. Loved the seasonal options and also that the menu is kept simple so the service is super quick. The triple pepperoni is a must and do not overlook the salads!! They are well dressed and plentiful. They will also happily provide boxes so you can take leftovers home. We will be back soon!!

My favorite pizzeria in Manchester. Especially the one in Ancoats, but it's also great here, the guy who reserved the table for us was super friendly!

I know most reviews are often complaints about food or staff, but this is one about the amazing kindness showed to me and my son tonight. Booked for 3 for my birthday. Unfortunately my husband not well enough following recent treatment to attend, arrived and apologised about only needing a table for 2 at such a busy time of year, explaining why. Following our lovely meal I was overwhelmed by the generous gesture on our bill. It's been an incredibly difficult time recently but the kindness shown by strangers tonight has reminded me how many wonderful people out there. I hope this is read by the people concerned and know it meant more to me than you could possibly realise. Thank you .

Visited for a family pre-Christmas meal. Service was sharp and friendly - despite being very busy. The pizzas were, as usual, absolutely excellent and served quickly straight from the oven.

Busy which is fine if you like that, but off-putting otherwise. Just before Christmas so perhaps not indicative of the usual experience.

This place was great! One of the best pizza's I've ever had . Lovely setting and lovely staff. I would definitely recommend this place if pizza is your thing. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Usually excellent but the last visit wasn't just as satisfying. Firstly we were sat in line of a draft between the rear and front door, basically, the delivery guy's used the rear door to collect their pizzas which was every 5 minutes or so. Also my pizza arrived at our table and was luke warm which isn't usually the case.

Had a pizza there today and honestly I wasn't expecting much, it's not really my sort of decor and the prices were pretty good so I was shocked to have a delicious pizza and fresh lemonade. Our waiter was lovely and made sure we were happy, I definitely recommend!

The pizzas at this renowned pizzeria in Manchester are indeed delicious. However, a far more important issue is about the service: we were dining for two and ordered two pizzas, yet one of them arrived much earlier than the other one. I don’t believe in any culture this would be considered appropriate for one person to eat while the other waits. This restaurant, which operates on reservations and is fully booked at all times, seems to have low service quality after gaining itself a name…

These pizzas awaken my Italian origins in me, I transform into Zola Prime and I taste this wonder while dribbling the entire penalty area. Arriving at the penalty spot, the wonderful dough of my Neapolitan pizza takes me right into the top corner. Final score: Rudy’s 1-0

Pizza was average at best. Very soggy in the middle. Waitress dropped dirty cutlery on me, no apology.

Hands down.. They deserve 7 Stars. Rudy’s Pizza on Peter Street is a must visit for foodies! Me and my family and I stopped by during our trip from Singapore. We tried the Triple Pepperoni and was amazed how well it was done. Sorry for the last piece photo because it's so good till I forget to take a better picture of it. It was perfectly wood fire bake with that signature Neapolitan style: soft, airy crusts and top-quality ingredients especially the tomatoes sauce or something. The casual vibe and friendly staff made the experience even better. If you’re in Manchester, this is a must visit place at Rudy’s. Best pepperoni pizza i have ever had. The place was packed, we had to wait around 1 hour for our pizzas (big group with 11 of us) but the wait was def worth it. I wasn't crazy about the garlic bread, also i dont love the concept of cutting your own pizza, kind of a hassle i really dont need.

Rudy’s Peter Street has been serving me soaky pizza for 3 out of 4 times of my visit These 3 pictures are from 3 different visits from 2023-2024 where they’re all below Rudy’s standards. The dough has been wet and oily Portland street branch is much tastier so I’d recommend people to go there instead

Superb service and fantastic pizzas

My partner and I love this place. The pizzas are amazing and the staff are always so good. We had aisha as a server and despite her saying she was quite new she was an amazing host. We will be returning (as always!) 😃

Very good pizzas (a little too little for our taste), pasta and fresh food! Regarding the service, it was 7:00 p.m. when we arrived and we had to wait at the bar for a table for 30 minutes. No one offered us a drink, which was a bit of a shame. The setting is very nice and the waitresses are very nice :) I recommend!!

The most delicious pizza I have ever eaten, very delicious and in the Neapolitan way

We had a booking for 4 on a Sunday evening. This is a busy restaurant. It’s noisy. Basic wine selection. My daughter who is 19 was asked for ID however she ordered only a soft drink. Timings for food were good. When I visited the toilet a man came out of the ladies. I think the signage needs to be clearer. Tiramisu lacked flavour. Brownie was excellent.

Visited Rudy's last night with a group of 16. The service at Rudy's is excellent. Our waiter Tom was polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. Very busy pizza place, so if you want a cozy and calm place it isn't the best during the weekend. The pizza was very good (got the mushroom one) and they have special pizza that changes during the year. The price is very good compared with the quality. Service has slow and a little chaotic.

TRIPLE PEPPERONI feels sweet at first, but it turns out that chilli honey is added, which makes delicious PEPPERONI feel so salty. MARGHERITA is relatively mediocre and needs a piece of basil leaf. Good service attitude.

Always love meeting friends in here! It’s ideal to book before hand as it gets busy very quickly, but service is fab and quick. I had the autumn special ‘GORGONZOLA + CAPOCOLLO’ - amazing! Would recommend. If you’re not too full for dessert - the tiramisu is divine.

Our booking has been cancelled the very last minute. Poor management by the restaurant. The booking has been made for 10 people and never before have we got a call from them to say we can’t come in.

Visité aquí con mi hija dios y fue horrendo, tuve que levantarme yo mismo para pedir un menú infantil que no tenían, ni tenían ninguna bebida infantil lo cual fue decepcionante pero como escuché tantas buenas críticas quería comer aquí así que le pedí una pizza margarita y yo una pizza pepperoni, y honestamente puedo decir que esta fue la peor pizza que he probado. Estaba nadando en greese y era delgado y descuidado. Honestamente tan decepcionado. Tampoco había nada para cortar la pizza. El camarero era agradable sin embargo no tenía idea de lo que estaba haciendo, creo que la dirección necesita pasar tiempo con su personal

What it says: True Napolitano pizza. Only did takeaway as no tables were available (even though it was completely empty when I walked in, weird). But yes, proper pizza, which you can then adulterate with a long list of options if you're starving, I suppose.

Ordered the margarita pizza with buffalo cheese. It was ok. I’d say 2.5/5. I’ve tried the OG ones back in Italy so this one was ok for me. The pizza was a bit soggy cause the sauce wasn’t holding onto the dough compared to the ones I had in Italy. Tiramisu was better than the pizza tbh. It was 3/5. I don’t drink so I really enjoyed the pasca mandarina (0% alcohol). Perfect light and refreshing drink after a heavy meal.

Considering all they sell is pizza, was very disappointing they don't offer any gluten free option, unless you have a salad...appreciate they only have one pizza oven so there would be cross-contamination, but that would be the choice for the customer... Went there in a group otherwise I would not have visited. Response to Rudy's: visiting (again in a grp) some 10 months later to still be told we don't do gluten free pizza..... I will forego any future work events if they book to eat here.

This is the BEST pizza I have ever tasted! As you can see from the photo I couldn’t even wait to take the picture! So delicious. Tried most pizzas on the menu and they all taste good. Italian beer is lovely as well. Staff are always friendly and it’s a great atmosphere in there too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

My three pepperoni pizza was excellent. Yes it was a little soggy but that was because of the honey and it tasted delicious. My Caesar salad was lettuce with a sprinkling of cheese. I didn’t eat it Shane the server didn’t ask me why. However I would go back for the lovely pizza. Staff very efficient.

If you want good Italian pizza, book a flight, rent a car and drive to your favourite place in Italy then hand make your own over some volcanic rocks. It would genuinely be quicker to do than wait for Rudys pizza.

Fab pizza, had to book in advance, otherwise 45 min - 1 hour wait! It's a staple in the north West of England.

Had been a few months and had forgotten just how good their pizzas are. Best I've ever tasted by a long way.

Friendly and welcoming host and server, amazing pizza, only let down was the music was a bit loud for a dining spot, couldn't really have an easy conversation it was that loud. It was a Friday night granted but I still think it could have been dialed down a bit (feeling acutely old now! 😅) but overall still a great spot.

The pizza is one of the best I have ever had. The triple pepperoni is my favourite and it’s the only thing I order. It’s so good and I look forward to it every time. It’s always great nice and classic design in there . Staff were great and I LOVE the Pizza.

Just received my order and my pizza looked like it’s been sat in the restaurant since yesterday. They didn’t even bother warming it up. Very disappointing. And it was FREEZING COLD and hard /soggy. Wow

Called in without reservation on Bank Holiday Monday (yesterday Aug 26th). Lucky to get a table very busy. Served by Roisin who was excellent a credit to the restaurant. Was going to choose a garlic bread starter but once we saw the sz of the pizzas coming out we just chose drinks and pizzas. Very tasty can def recommend here.
