The best restaurants serving Italian food in West Midlands

With no booking four of us turned up at this restaurant which was fully booked. However, a table was found if we could be finished in one hour. With this promise excellent meals were delivered promptly and much humour.

They squeezed us 4 in for the Saturday night at short notice, and were great to us. Service impeccable. I was particularly impressed with the allergies knowledge. The food was terrific too.

Went on Thursday evening, very busy but as usual food service all excellent as usual !! Although Mo wasn't there Jai did sn excellent Job keeping it all flowing. Thanks to all the staff see you soon...

Lovely building, menu and reviews were good but not our experience. Meal was lukewarm and small portion, side dish didn't arrive till too late. Both M/F toilets either didn't have paper or were out of order.

Our second visit to this fine restaurant. We arrived really early and received a very warm welcome from the attentive staff. The service was first class and the meal was superb. Cannot find a single negative thing to say about our experience. We are not local … but we will be back!

Cuando entré me sorprendió la decoración y la forma en que se veía, simplemente increíble y colorido y brillante. Nos sentamos en nuestra mesa y nos dieron tiempo para pedir bebidas, cuando llegaron las bebidas nos dieron unas patatas fritas giratorias, que era agradable. Pedimos comida, un entrante y un plato principal. Cuando vi que se comenzaba a cocinar (estaba frente a la cocina) pensé que los principales looks de alguien eran encantadores. ¡No, eso no era un tema principal, era mi entrante! Wow! El entrante de mi esposo era igual de grande, pero ambos platos eran lo suficientemente ligeros como para que no se sintiera lleno antes de su principal. ¡La red era increíble! El chef en ese día pensó que su juego A porque los sabores eran hermosos, bien presentados y simplemente wow! Sé que sigo diciendo “wow” pero si lo es es! No puedo esperar a volver aquí y probar algo diferente con mi marido. Gracias por hacer nuestro almuerzo increíble!

Esta era una mesa reservada para 4 cubiertas en un sábado por la noche ocupado. Todo el personal era atento y amable. Buena gama de platos en el menú, por lo que hay un montón de opciones. Este restaurante no tiene licencia, así que si quieres alcohol, tendrás que traer el tuyo. Hay una licencia justo al otro lado de la calle que ofrece una amplia selección. La comida llegó de manera oportuna y estaba caliente, bien presentado y decente tamaño de la porción. Todos estábamos muy contentos con nuestras comidas y servicio al cliente. La única queja fue que mi esposa dijo que no había jabón en el baño de mujeres.

1st time back since new management. Was not disappointed. Updated extensive menu. I had a really tasty Chicken tikka balti. Loads of well cooked chicken and rice soft and fluffy. Nice attentive service. Will definitely return.

Visited for a meal March 2024. The staff were friendly enough and warned us in advance that there could be a reasonable wait on food, approx 40 mins which was ok for us. Garlic bread was dried out but the pizza was very tasty. £6.25 for a bottle of Shipyard! It wouldn’t have been quite so bad if it was from the tap but ouch.. for a bottle this is over the top. 10% service charge on top too. The food was fine but it was a bit pricey for what it is.

Stopped here for lunch. The service was good. I had a pizza and my wife had a burger. There was a slight issue with the cooking of my pizza. The staff came to tell us there had been an issue but they were making a new one. I thought this was a nice touch so we did not feel like we were waiting. When the food arrived it was perfect. The burger was very meaty and the pizza for lovely. Thin base good crust. Overall the meal was excellent value for money.

A great experience, great food, great service the best coffee and people watching too. Opposite the library in the city centre, definitely worth a visit. Take cash for a 10% discount

Me and my patenter came in last Friday as a friend recommended. Did not disappoint I could honestly say it was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten! We will be retuning frequently. Waitress was also very polite and friendly ☺️

My friend and I went for lunch yesterday to Fumo in Selfridges. We had 5 small dishes as expected (pizza, melanzane parmigiana, meatballs, calamari and arancini) and two soft drinks and the bill came to almost £70. To say that we felt 'ripped off' for dishes, that comprise of relatively cheap ingredients, is an understatement. We have visited Fumo in the past, have enjoyed the service and atmosphere, and have always understood that they charge a little bit more than many other places but it has now gone beyond ridiculous. I think that Fumo needs to re-think its pricing for such simple dishes. We shall not be re-visiting any time soon. The service was good.

Ordered takeaway through their website on 2 occasions, both have said 40 mins for delivery but arrived within 30 mins. Food has been lovely, fresh and hot on all occasions. Nice to see fresh salad, crispy chips and succulent chicken, In wings, burgers and peri peri chicken. Beef burgers are standard and nothing fancy, but don't expect fancy burgers from them. Can't wait to try their pizzas.
