Bella Italia in Birmingham

Kully is a Great server, very smiley and greeted us amazingly, will definitely come back and the xmas food was delicious.

My wife has a dairy intolerance and some places makes this difficult. Here, Amy made it easy - right from the moment we arrived. She explained various options, double-checked various ingredients with the chef and made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. Huge credit to Amy.

Mj delivered great customer service and always had a big smile whilst serving us. It was lovely to see such an enthusiastic worker and made us feel very welcome and happy. We made sure to leave her a tip and thanked her several times for being so good to us. Would recommened people to try and be served by this wonderful waitress.

Wasn’t that busy but took ages for drinks to come. I ordered calamari and garlic ciabatta as I didn’t want a main meal. The calamari was mainly batter and not good and the ciabatta was awful. Feeling sick and wish I’d returned it. Waitress said it’s how it comes pre prepared

We had a great time, greeted with a smile and shown to our table, then we were served by Kully great guy very friendly and helpful. Our starter's and main meals were excellent hot and very tasty. Highly recommend a visit, I've booked for next week.

The server (killy) made my mom feel special for her birthday by adding extra touches to our meal.

Food is lovely, service quick and pleasant staff. Sadly, Foodserved on cold plates so food went cold quickly.

Very small kids portions. My daughter got the Carbonara - no seasoning and very little sauce. My wife's bowl of pasta with a tomato ssuce also lacking in seasoning and sauce. I had the ribs and loaded chips. The ribs were tasteless with appeared to be a shop bought sauce and the chips were not loaded. The pizza we got was nice but nothing special for the price. We usually love Bella Italia but after last night, I doubt we'll come again.

Starter of mushrooms were just warm and lasagna sloppy not oven baked enough and just warm, just too busy to keep up with it's usual standard probably due extra footfall of the Christmas markets generating extra customers 🎄

So I came here for my daughters birthday meal.got seated straight away which was nice,we had a waiter take our drink order then he went missing and forgot to ask us our food order,I had to keep looking at other waitresses to get there attention to take our order,eventually a lady came over and took our order.We ordered a pasta dish each my daughters was spicy sausage and I can tell you there was no sausage present on that dish,not 1 piece of sausage! my sons was carbonara and the bacon was full of jelly fat and no bacon just pure fat! My pollo dish was nice although it only had 2-3 pieces of chicken in it! Very disappointing to say the least. The service wasn't great and food was awful I wanted to complain there and then but I was in a rush to catch a train as needed to be somewhere ASAP. I have now got belly cramps and not very happy at all.sorry to come across rude but I paid £20 each to eat here so it's only right asndI work in hospitality myself.I would like someone to contact me please or I'm going to take this further thankyou

We've been a few years ago, and it was decent, but we won't be back, bang average food at best

I enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant, the service provided and the quality of the food. It's always a good place to visit in Birmingham.

Pretty good food, not too expensive and the waiting staff were great - just the right balance of attentive and letting us eat/chat in peace.

Walked in to place an order for a takeaway and was stood at the front for around 10-15 minutes. Not 1 member of staff approached me or even acknowledged me. When speaking to the manager, her excuse was ‘it’s busy’. I then asked if they’re too busy for new customer and she said ‘of course not’ Disappointing service from the start. Let’s hope the food is to standard.

As good as always. Great service. Staff were super friendly. Food was nice. Toilets were clean. Great atmosphere. Would sure recommend. Please note the usual discount Vouchers are not applicable here (usually please double check). Mains cost around £15-£20 per person.

Disappointed that my Blue Card discount can't be used between 1st Nov - 31st Dec as I was told In store that they want to get as much money from customers as possible when the German Market is on!! We are still teachers at this time and have paid for our cards and discount!! Really disappointed with this as only available from Sun - Thursday anyway (school nights) so biggest spending days (Fri and Sat) not included in discount anyway. Feels like yet again, we are penalised for being teachers and working Mon - Fri so not having that luxury of going out on work nights to make use of this discount, and it's not actually available during school holiday when we would be able to use it! Shame on you Bella Italia!!

One of the best Italian restaurant experiences I've had in years. If you are a bit bored of pizza and pasta, I can't recommend their chicken milanese enough. Located right on top of Christmas market and perfect if you enjoyed that in the day but want something a bit more upmarket after dark. Outside of that, situated fairly close to Victoria Square and party locations if dinner is only the start of your evening.

Nice place with a decent evening atmosphere, especially sitting next to the window watching the street. Staff busy but get to you, food took 25 minutes which is slow considering but it was tasty when it came.

Popped in after matinee at the Rep. Took advantage of two course set meals, starter and lasagne all delicious. Friendly service and no face pulled when we requested water. Cote and Carluccios in Solihull take note, still waiting !

My wife is Coeliac, so needs to feel confident that the staff understand this. The staff are very tuned into this, and having a gluten free flag come with the meal gives us both confidence the the chef and serving staff are fully aware. It's a shame not all restaurants are not like you. Well done to all

Fantastic Italian restuarant, the service from entering to leaving was some of the best I've recieved. The meals were well presented and tasted amazing. They have a nice variety of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I will definitely have to come here again in the future!

It is nice 👍🏻 and the food 🍱 was delicious 🤤 Kully was really accommodating. Great with our kids. All our meals were great, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Would definitely recommend.

Surprisingly busy Tuesday evening. Managed to fit us in at the last minute with my girlfriend in a wheelchair. Everything was great, except my chair was uncomfortable, girlfriend didn't have that issue.

Large group of us well accommodated & pre-ordered food worked well. Very helpfully boxed up pizza & dessert for those who had to leave early.

Marc was a great server, attentive but not too in your face - just how I like it. Really smooth experience and the food was served nice a hot and was tasty. Overall a great experience.

Popped into this restaurant last week. Hadn’t been for a little while so I was happy to see that waitress Amy was still working here. She always gives great service with a smile, has great knowledge and has reliable recommendations. It’s worth going to this particular Bella Italia for Amy’s great service. 👍🏼

Do you like bland unauthentic Italian food in small portion with high prices? You have found just the spot. The pasta was so bland I kept adding salt, pepper, cheese, chilli oil and just about made it edible. Wont be back in a rush. Good service and a chilled atmosphere though

First time eating at bella italia and was very happy with the food and service I received, Marc our server was very polite and friendly, he added a candle to my daughters brownie as it was her birthday, would definitely go back 😊

On Saturday I took advantage of my offer and had some drinks and snacks with my family. Everything was amazing as usual when this manager is on shift. I highly recommend this branch on New street, because is one of my favourite place in city centre.

Beautiful place, really busy so probably need to book in advance. Two managers - ladies were really lovely and accommodating. Great food, great service. Not every Bella Italia is the same but this one was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

The experience was going great until it came to paying for the bill. I showed my voucher for a free meal for signing up to the newsletter and then the service dropped off completely. I was told that they wasn't sure they could accept the voucher as it can take up to 48 hours to go through. (Not out problem as it isn't stated in terms and conditions and we already presented the voucher of my phone.). We then had to wait over 20 minutes of being ignored and we had to ask again for the bill. When it arrived the bill was full price. When I asked why the voucher wasn't accepted the waiter got moody and sent me to the till. He put the voucher through I paid the bill and he acted like it he was losing wages through my voucher. Shame as we was planning on going back for our 20 year anniversary in December. We won't be going back now.

what I expect for a Bella Italia

We visited Bella Italia on a busy Saturday, which is expected as it's located on the high street. We ordered online, and while our drinks and starter arrived quickly, there was a long WAIT between the starter and the main course. Unfortunately, we had to ask for our food multiple times, which was frustrating. The waitstaff could definitely be more attentive. After finishing our starter, we didn’t receive any clean cutlery, and we had to request it each time we needed it, which became quite annoying. While the food was decent, the overall service experience left a lot to be desired. A bit more care and attention from the staff would make a big difference.

Bella Italia feels like home to me. Tonight was a cozy evening filled with comfort food, and I savored every bite.

After visiting the restaurant a few weeks ago was very disappointed with the food my sister and myself both have coeliac and order the food that was cold on top and warm on the bottom would have complained but due to a concert we needed to leave the staff where friendly but very expensive for shocking food sorry understand it must be difficult with dietary requirements unfortunately I won't be visiting again.

We were served by Aryan. He is fantastic guy. He looked after all our needs very well.

Aryan was excellent, he was accommodating as I was helping my wife look after our baby whilst she was with her friends. Carbonara was lovely, the tiramisu was not the best though. Nonetheless, lovely visit and would come back.

We went for a casual dinner . Ordered red wine -Sangiovese , cheesy stack of dough balls, chicken- ham, mushrooms Pizza and carbonara. All are very nice. The servers were super nice.
