Never left a review on anything before but I’m shocked by what happened to me and my girlfriend at this place, we went yesterday on Valentine’s Day got seated, surprised there was a lot of empty tables, once we told them we had a gluten allergy the manager came out and said there was no tables, I looked around and said there was tables free literally everywhere, the manager refused to look at me and was very stern/inhospitable. I understand if they could not cater too her allergies we are very use too that but we were genuinely lied too (I saw the booking system on the way in I know there was tables cause I’ve used the booking system before). My main concern is the hospitality and professionalism it was Valentine’s Day we had a table and were treated coldly, it was very wrong. Wagamamas was down the road and they catered to us well and the food was good. The female blonde manager needs to go find happiness cause she’s an actual sad act.

Called in to the Bella Italia on New Street Birmingham on a Wednesday lunchtime. There was no wait for a table and we selected a window table to watch the passing parade. Our server, MARC, was very attentive and look our drinks order without delay. Herself had a glass of white wine and I was on the water. Marc took a full jug of water to us. She opted for sea bass and I had a Chicken Caesar Salad. Both were excellent. The sea bass came with potatoes. The Caesar salad had plenty of chicken. Our waiter returned to our table several times to check on progress. He was also attentive to the other tables in his section. The entire experience was excellent and I would highly recommend for a lunch in the city centre. At busy times, it may be advisable to call ahead to make a booking. Atmosphere was 4 star as it got a bit noisy towards the end of our stay.

Marc was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed.

Everyone was super including and very friendly, I have a dairy intolerance and they made sure to accommodate. 10/10

Terrible - avoid at all costs! We had a table booked for a special occasion, and when we arrived we waited for 15mins without anyone acknowledging us or showing us to a sear. There were 5 servers - and none of them took responsibility for welcoming us. We walked out!

Kully was our waiter for the afternoon, he was absolutely amazing very welcoming from the moment we walked into the restaurant to the end of our meal, I would recommend coming here it has honestly been a great place to visit. Thank you Kully xx

Cheap place to eat service good portions small

Avoid. Visited at 8.30 on a Saturday night, felt like our visit was an inconvenience due to the time. Lots of potential customers were then turned way as they said it was too late despite advertised being open until 11pm. Food was ok, service was a disgrace, felt rushed, wasn’t offered desert, won’t visit again.

Had the most enjoyable meal at Bella Italia on Wednesday Evening. The food was gorgeous 😍 The service excellent 👏👌👍 Price very responsible. Definitely recommend Bella Italia for a n Evening meal - 5 out of 5

It was busy when we entered, three people who had pretty basic meals. My chicken burger was rubbery, chips were cold, the other two meals were pasta and were nice. Total bill £83. At the emd i asked for a coffee, after 15 minutes waiting for it i cancelled it. All in all not a good experience.

Visited before going to a show Thursday 15th Jan. Warmly greeted by staff. Given the option of where we wanted to sit. Service excellent. Food was delicious and portion size perfect. Attentive staff and overall a great experience. Will definitely visit again.

the service here is horrifically slow Update: It's just as bad, years later. Tried again a few times, twice me and my other half have walked out as we couldn't find anybody to order drinks or food from after being seated. Not entirely sure how this branch is still open

I came here with my friend and we had a great time. I would defo recommend the peperoni pizza they are not stingy with it (the pepperoni) and the strawberry ice cream, lush. Our server, Marc was very professionally friendly, chill and made sure we had a great dinning experience and the music isn’t too loud where it overstimulates you in time ;) would defo come again icl😋

We were served by the lovely Marc , who went above and beyond to give us incredible service. We felt relaxed , welcome and at ease within walking in, his positive attitude really did shine through and made our evening so lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and Marc really made our time here great, thank you so much Marc you are wonderful. The food was lovely it was a calm and relaxed atmosphere, we have always enjoyed our visits. The £5 pasta deal is also brilliant really incredible value.

Absolutely incredible service. The waiter (Marc) was so sweet and welcoming. There was always someone nearby when we needed anything such as to order our main course, dessert or to get our bill. The absolute only downside was the raisins in the sticky toffee pudding were a bit crunchy where the stem hadn't been fully removed.

A restaurant that is really worth visiting if you are in the center of Cheltenham. The incredibly friendly decor and atmosphere of the place make us feel like we are in real Italy. The restaurant service deserves great praise because thanks to their hard work this place is so worth recommending. The food is very good because it is prepared on a regular basis from fresh products.

They didn't take correctly the orders. The food was good.

I would give this one a miss. Food was bland and for the price you would definitely make something better at home. Took close to an hour for a microwaved flat bread and overdone spag to come out. Walk over to wagamamas instead

Came here lunchtime today with my grand niece. Lovely atmosphere, good food and Aryan(our waiter) was very attentive. Can't wait to come again🥰

1st and last time at Bella Italia. We were sat at a dirty table and asked to move. We were told the table we wanted was reserved, to see it then be given to 2 customers 30 minutes later who didn’t reserve. Told to order on app, no personal service. Minestrone soup was tomato soup with some pasta in. (No mention of tomato - which we had an allergy for) Food was lukewarm at best. Quite possibly the blandest carbonara I have eaten, had to ask for Parmesan cheese and waiter came out with a grater. No cutlery on table, had to get these ourselves and didn’t clear away the starters before mains came. Raised all of these concerns with the manager who rather than talking to understand the issues, sent the waiter to advise the bill was £0. Don’t waste your time or money.

A fabulous experience! Food was lovely but what made it a greater experience was our service from Kully. He went above and beyond with our daughter and made sure we will definitely be returning soon.

The manager of this place is a joke, a new manager needs to be hired. I came last night with friends and noticed the manager was extremely friendly to other customers however was quite rude towards myself. The manager does this thing where he sits with his customers and has a chat with them if they come from an ethnic group of White. My food took over an hour to come which I then had to cancel as other customers ( white ) were getting treated like royalty whilst myself was being treated completely different. Perfect restaurant for those who are white, any other colour avoid.

The lady with the red hair was so lovely to me and my partner! Made sure our food order was correct and was in general just lovely to be served by. Didn’t catch her name but appreciated her looking after us during our visit :)

Food was lovely, came faster than expected, lovely venue, waiter was good at first, then seemed to forget we existed, had to go to bar to get service after waiting half an hour to 45 minutes, this was after our plates from the previous course had been take away so a bit disappointing. overall a good experience.

I booked online and for some reason i had a email telling me it was cancelled so re booked, anyway welcomed with a smile and shown to our table, last week it was Kully great guy very friendly and helpful, great asset to the company this week we were served by Alexandra lovely young lady who was very friendly and helpful another great asset to your team, our starter was calamari perfectly cooked my other half had meatballs and i had meat feast pizza 🍕 both well cooked and very tasty, another great visit definitely recommend a visit we will definitely be back.

Kully is a Great server, very smiley and greeted us amazingly, will definitely come back and the xmas food was delicious.

My wife has a dairy intolerance and some places makes this difficult. Here, Amy made it easy - right from the moment we arrived. She explained various options, double-checked various ingredients with the chef and made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. Huge credit to Amy.

Mj delivered great customer service and always had a big smile whilst serving us. It was lovely to see such an enthusiastic worker and made us feel very welcome and happy. We made sure to leave her a tip and thanked her several times for being so good to us. Would recommened people to try and be served by this wonderful waitress.

Wasn’t that busy but took ages for drinks to come. I ordered calamari and garlic ciabatta as I didn’t want a main meal. The calamari was mainly batter and not good and the ciabatta was awful. Feeling sick and wish I’d returned it. Waitress said it’s how it comes pre prepared

Very small kids portions. My daughter got the Carbonara - no seasoning and very little sauce. My wife's bowl of pasta with a tomato ssuce also lacking in seasoning and sauce. I had the ribs and loaded chips. The ribs were tasteless with appeared to be a shop bought sauce and the chips were not loaded. The pizza we got was nice but nothing special for the price. We usually love Bella Italia but after last night, I doubt we'll come again.

Starter of mushrooms were just warm and lasagna sloppy not oven baked enough and just warm, just too busy to keep up with it's usual standard probably due extra footfall of the Christmas markets generating extra customers 🎄

So I came here for my daughters birthday meal.got seated straight away which was nice,we had a waiter take our drink order then he went missing and forgot to ask us our food order,I had to keep looking at other waitresses to get there attention to take our order,eventually a lady came over and took our order.We ordered a pasta dish each my daughters was spicy sausage and I can tell you there was no sausage present on that dish,not 1 piece of sausage! my sons was carbonara and the bacon was full of jelly fat and no bacon just pure fat! My pollo dish was nice although it only had 2-3 pieces of chicken in it! Very disappointing to say the least. The service wasn't great and food was awful I wanted to complain there and then but I was in a rush to catch a train as needed to be somewhere ASAP. I have now got belly cramps and not very happy at all.sorry to come across rude but I paid £20 each to eat here so it's only right asndI work in hospitality myself.I would like someone to contact me please or I'm going to take this further thankyou

I enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant, the service provided and the quality of the food. It's always a good place to visit in Birmingham.

Pretty good food, not too expensive and the waiting staff were great - just the right balance of attentive and letting us eat/chat in peace.

Walked in to place an order for a takeaway and was stood at the front for around 10-15 minutes. Not 1 member of staff approached me or even acknowledged me. When speaking to the manager, her excuse was ‘it’s busy’. I then asked if they’re too busy for new customer and she said ‘of course not’ Disappointing service from the start. Let’s hope the food is to standard.

As good as always. Great service. Staff were super friendly. Food was nice. Toilets were clean. Great atmosphere. Would sure recommend. Please note the usual discount Vouchers are not applicable here (usually please double check). Mains cost around £15-£20 per person.

One of the best Italian restaurant experiences I've had in years. If you are a bit bored of pizza and pasta, I can't recommend their chicken milanese enough. Located right on top of Christmas market and perfect if you enjoyed that in the day but want something a bit more upmarket after dark. Outside of that, situated fairly close to Victoria Square and party locations if dinner is only the start of your evening.

Disappointed that my Blue Card discount can't be used between 1st Nov - 31st Dec as I was told In store that they want to get as much money from customers as possible when the German Market is on!! We are still teachers at this time and have paid for our cards and discount!! Really disappointed with this as only available from Sun - Thursday anyway (school nights) so biggest spending days (Fri and Sat) not included in discount anyway. Feels like yet again, we are penalised for being teachers and working Mon - Fri so not having that luxury of going out on work nights to make use of this discount, and it's not actually available during school holiday when we would be able to use it! Shame on you Bella Italia!!
