Bella Italia - Coventry in Coventry

We come to this Bella Italia almost every weekend as both the food and service are amazing. Our usual waiter, Andrew always makes sure we have everything we need and most times guesses what we’re about to get without us having to tell him - bonus points for being super nice and full of smiles! Definitely worth visiting :)

Loved the food. Server was very nice and attentive and I really enjoyed my time. The food came quite quickly and I really liked the look of the place.

Our waiter Andrew was brilliant. He guided me through the menu clearly. Nothing was too much trouble. I have a cheese intolerance but he showed me the options suitable for me, my partner was more than happy to have his cheese fest!

Why on earth would they let you make a reservation for 9.30pm when the place closes at 10pm... we didn't know it closed at that time being its a city centre restaurant and because of such a late reservation turned up to find the place empty and they were tidying up and we were told oh its closed now, but we could have a drink... well we were hungry so why would we have a drink in a dead place... won't be returning.

Gabi is a great waiter and the food very tasty.Nice place with good food and cool people.

I’ve been visiting this Bella for a long time (maybe 4/5yrs) I’ve always been treated extremely well by the staff, the food is amazing and the bar staff (Kelly) are unbelievably attentive. I want to say a special thanks to the team/ power rangers; Gabi, Daniel and Andrew. The team treat customers with an extra level of care, almost feels like an intensive care unit (in a good way) anyway, thanks guys - visit this place without a second doubt. ❤️🤣

Ok but just not a welcome back vibe

Late visit in Monday evening. I and my work colleagues enjoyed the meal here. I liked the pasta cacciatore, the garlic bread and the strawberry cheesecake. I really appreciated Andrew one of the waiting staff. he's nice and friendly. We had good time and delicious dinner on that day.

The food was delicious and there was plenty to choose from, The staff were friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend Bella Italia Coventry!

Whatever happened to the old Bella Italia with all its quirky pictures and excellent menu ? We called in for lunch recently having not been for ages - all the pictures on the walls have gone - the menu is much reduced and the atmosphere has followed the pictures ! Food was tasty enough but the whole experience was nothing like it used to be - the decor now is like the food - plain and unexciting. Sorry we won't be coming back .

The service quality of this restaurant is top-notch, especially from this staff member named Andrew, who has a very attentive attitude. I particularly love eating his spaghetti; it tastes amazing, piping hot, and is highly recommended.

Loved every moment from the second we walked in. Andrew was so warm and friendly. He took us to our table then looked after us throughout our dining experience. El camarero Andrew, hizo nuestra visita al restaurante memorable. Él era experto, amable, sonriente y también comprobó que nuestra comida estaba bien en cada curso, (tuvimos los tres). Él podía ver que nos estábamos poniendo al día, así que nos dio mucho tiempo entre cursos para hacer esto, no nos apresuramos en absoluto. I was part of a business group booking. We regularly book here as the service is brilliant. As usual we recived excellent service from our host Andrew. Even though we were a group, the food came out together and was hot, well presented, and delicious. We had pre-ordered and the service via email was prompt and the orders were correct. The food is very reasonably priced and there's a good choice on the set menu, which is popular with our business guests. On the night, Andrew was very attentive. We had an extra person join (a guest of a guest) so the bill needed to be divided, which was not a problem. Similarly drinks orders needed to be taken and paid for seperately (which is a pain for a restaurant!) however Bella Italia accomodated us with no fuss or hassle. I've also eaten here in a private capacity with my partner and the experience is always positive and enjoyable. I'd highly recommend Bella Italia Coventry for business or pleasure. We'll be back soon.

Came here with a friend, we were given a table which is quite in the centre, definitely hard to miss We were sitting for nearly an hour & still didn’t get our food All we were served was the drinks Interestingly enough, there were 6 white people who came much later than us, not only were they served their drinks but their food as well. I don’t want to imply anything but it’s quite interesting that my friend and I were the only non-white in the room & due to some strange misunderstandings in the kitchen (according to a waiter who came to try to explain to us) that our order was mistaken/missed. By the way it’s not the fault of the waiter who came to try to explain to us about the situation but I doubt if our order was even received in the kitchen. My friend has tried to reach out to a staff (female) who passed by our table multiple times, but she kept ignoring her Never thought I’d actually experience racism in this way but here I am, actually experiencing it The lady who took our order was no where to be found & it’s not even the fault of the male waiter who apologised to us Anyway, overall, it was just an overwhelming experience

Along with a friend and myself we waited for 55min to be served. We ordered a very basic 1 starter, 1 main and 2 drinks. We never got served for our food but fairly quickly for drinks. It was decent and not busy for a Saturday night at 8pm. There was a family of 6 and so on placing order after us but got served way before which doesn't make sense. One of the staff explained and apologised and said "there's been a misunderstanding in the kitchen about our order" and no future explanation was provided. We waited for another 10min, still nothing at this point it's been 55min of waiting. We decided to pay for the drinks and leave. The staff explained that the " mushrooms take a lot of time to cook" and suggested that they will discount our dishes. This was a really unfair thing to say as it metaphorically suggests that we can't afford the price of the dishes considering that 2 drinks cost us 18 quid. All we needed was an apology for the misunderstanding rather than suggesting to discount the dishes or providing justification for how long mushrooms take to cook.

The food here was lovely, really enjoyed the evening and the service was quick as well. Our Pasta cravings were indeed satisfied. Andrei made some great recommendations and took good care of us! Will be back very soon ☺️

Absolutely lovely meal for my birthday, food was spot on no problems and drinks tasted amazing. The staff were so so friendly and gave me a free birthday shot which was very lovely of the team.

Dissapointing, absolutely freezing. Table under a large vent. Mentioned it a few time to the waiter. Nothing initiated to resolve the situation. Could have offered to move us but didn't. No offer of a hot drink. So sat in the freezing cold with a hat and coat on to eat my dinner. Not expected when you go out with friends for a meal. Shame, this has put me off going again.

Last visit during winter for me!! I don't want to eat tasty food in the cold! Half of the other diners are eating with hats, coats on. We go to this venue as it's handy for friend's to get together. But sadly not anymore, lack of poor understanding of issue from staff, others in restaurant were overheard mentioning issue.

Had a lovely meal at Bella Italia! Maggie was lovely, friendly and gave us recommendations of what food and drink to order. She recommended some of the seasonal drinks and many lovely meals which were very nice. Maggie was very attentive and the service was perfect. Our food was brought to us very quickly. For my starter, I had king prawns which is my go to order at Bella Italia, while for my main I had Pollo Funghi which was something I haven’t tried before. It was absolutely delicious and I do recommend. I had a lovely time and a delicious meal, thank you very much Maggie and the rest of the team 👍🏻

I absolutely love this restaurant. The pasta perfectly cooked, and the sauces are full of flavor—just like something you'd get in Italy. The vibe is super cozy, and the staff makes you feel right at home. If you're craving some delicious, no-fuss Italian food, this place is a must-try!

I visited Bella Italia Coventry with my family and partner and had a great experience. During our visit, Maggie gave us some excellent recommendations for cocktails and food based on what we said we typically like. She was also very accommodating regarding dietary requirements such as lactose-free and gluten-free options. I went for the Caesar Salad for the first time (I usually go for pizza, burgers or pasta) and it was really nice, and surprisingly filling for me. The cocktails were lovely and the atmosphere was great with the friendly staff. Thank you once again to Maggie and the team for a great meal out, I will definitely come here again :)

Dined here two nights in a row, during a short break in Coventry. Excellent service from Andrew on both occasions. Would highly recommend.

Popped in for a quick bite and had to wait a few minutes to be shown a seat however the service was good and good was brought out very quickly. It was very tasty.

241207 My wife and I come her whenever we visit the Belgrade Theatre for a pre-show meal. It is still fabulous. We shared a Green Olive starter. Followed by a Vegetariana pizza sweet potato fries and a salad. We also asked for some freshly chopped chillies for that extra zing! Washed down with a nice bottle of Merlot. -------------- Superb pizza. Good price. Pleasant alternative decor. Check it out yourselves.

We met my daughter and grandkids here for a catchup. We were offered a choice of tables.. We had lots of time to choose our starters, and the waitress did ask about allergies. Our food came quickly and the tap water we requested. It was a bright sunny day and the waiter came and closed the blinds. I called a waiter over to clear and take our main course orders. The restaurant was less than half full, even so it was not easy to chat comfortable. I think the background sounds resonated off the mostly hard surfaces. Personally, as the meal was a catch up, this detracted from an otherwise near perfect experience. The food was hot and tasty and well described in the menu. Make sure you check the spice content if you cannot take your food hot. Portions were generous for our (small) appetites, Staff were friendly and responded when called. The waiter took our photos when we asked. We were able to use a "2 for 1" discount card for the main menus items (not the set menus)

Mr Önder was very friendly and nice, also a very nice gentleman (handsome as well). service was nice, he took a great care of us.

I took my 87 year old mother for a meal before the ballet at the Belgrade. All of the staff couldn't have been more helpful. As a chef, I know a good meal when I get one, and I'd have been proud to have prepared this meal. It really was excellent.

EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND QUALITY OF THE FOOD WE WOULD CERTAINLY GO AGAIN

I had high hopes for this place but was left disappointed. I visited on a Saturday afternoon when it wasn’t busy. The greetings from the staff felt insincere and rushed. We had to wait a while just to place our order, which was frustrating given how quiet it was. The worst part was when my orange juice arrived with lipstick on the glass. When I pointed it out, the staff didn’t even apologize, just replaced the glass. It made the experience uncomfortable, and I couldn’t enjoy the meal after that. Overall, the lack of hygiene and poor service really affected my experience.

It was quick work lunch for 3 of us . Promptly served by Gabi, and the manager JO was suggesting our dishes based on our expectation. It’s a Beautiful restaurant and we will definitely be back. Thanks guys 😊😊

Vi var to personer som spiste. Maten var rett og slett ikke god. Vi spiste begge pasta carbonara. Ut over det så var det ingen ting å si på service, men alt i alt dyrt og dårlig.

Not a friendly welcome unfortunately. A blank stare from the man on the door managed to walk back out. Food very average. Waiter who served table friendly. Took almost half hour for bill after asking making us late. Would return maybe.

Family meal - as usual, the welcome and service from Andrew and staff was second to none! Food was delicious and pricing very reasonable. Ages from 8 to 68 were catered for and options and food portions were appropriate. Another very pleasant visit

El viernes pasado fuimos a Bella Italia en Coventry. La pizza de ternera era única en su clase. A mis hijos les encantaron los gamberoni y lasaña. El comienzo de compartir fue magnífico. No nos dimos cuenta de que lo que pedimos fue llenar ya que las porciones son generosas. Disfrutamos de nuestra experiencia gastronómica allí. Nos sentamos en una mesa con vistas a la fuente de afuera y era una vista relajante y agradable solo mirando a la gente sentada en los bancos o paseando.

I visited Coventry branch today, have ordered cappuccino and chocolate brownies with ice-cream. The waiter came to me after 2 hours asking me to leave as they wanted to close - while it wasn’t the closing time - then told me if I want to come next time to order coffee and dessert, I shouldn’t stay more than an hour. He justified that telling me that we pay electricity and gas and you spend 2-3 hours with coffee and dessert only with no food. I told him that I am not hungry why would you want me to eat !! I don’t know why they treated me like that, I have payed £10.50 for my coffee and dessert which is more than the average of any other place for coffee and dessert. Restaurant was empty with no customers at all at that time. I am expecting that any place shouldn’t treat customers like that. I am not responsible for their income and bills if you don’t have enough customers. Also I am paying for the service and they shouldn’t telling me that. Your bills and income aren’t my issue. If I come to you that means I am a customer who pays for a service. If you were busy you should inform us before we order for how long should we stay. If you didn’t mention anything, so I won’t be aware of that. Didn’t like this attitude at all.
