If you’re someone who struggles with noisy rooms then I’d warn that it’s quite echoey and hard to hear conversation sometimes. Could be an overwhelming environment for some. Although the outdoor seating looks lovely. Will definitely come back in the warmer months.

I’ve been to Novakov and many other well known Italian restaurants and none of them compare to here. Food is such high quality for reasonable price, genuinely there wasn’t anything we ate that I disliked. Drinks were really great and as we entered we were given a sample of the house made lemonade which was delicious and we had to order a whole glass Alex who was our server was amazing, really nice and made our experience really good. We will definitely be coming here again

An unexpected delight. I booked ASK with the intention of using several Tesco vouchers due to expire. Although I was a little apprehensive having read a few negative reviews, I always like to find out for myself. What a pleasant supprise. As soon as we arrived, we noted how busy they were, lots of early diners, lots of young families. We were warmly greeted by Alicia who asked if we would like to be seated somewhere a little quieter. A nice gesture for a couple. We were shown to the table and sat in a nice area at the back of the main seating area. We were offered a complimentary lemonade and settled down. Our server was Alex. He was very polite, prompt and after taking our drinks order, produced our wine and offered us water which we accepted. Both were server in a very short time. The starters were served shortly after. The calamari was delicious and a great sharing dish. The main courses were delicious, hot and nicely presented. Alex made sure everything was as it should be. At the end of the meal I asked if we could use the Tesco vouchers. Not being familiar with how to turn these into Reward Partner Orders, Alicia kindly spent time in helping me sort the vouchers enabling me to pay for the food. Both Alex and Alicia are a credit to ASK. Thanks for an enjoyable dining experience.

This is now the 2nd time we have eaten at Ask Italian Malvern. Both times have been really lovely, but we’ve particularly enjoyed tonight. The service has been great, the waiters have been very attentive and the food has been incredible. Thank you

Me and daughter went to AskItalian in Worcester. I am vegetarian so ordered the vegetarian risotto. It came with chicken in, so it was taken back to the kitchen to bring me a new one. Two minutes later it came out, mid eating it I found a piece of chicken, from further inspection I could see the chef had picked out the main chicken bits. The waitress was lovely and very apologetic, she couldn’t have been any nicer, she was so kind and it wasn’t her fault. It is a shame the chef has let the whole place down. I was told it’s the second time the chef has done this, it’s very concerning, and could be fatal if someone had allergies. I feel disgusted this has happened and I feel people should be aware of this

Pretty good Italian for a franchise Great service

A lovely place to have a family gathering. All of the staff are friendly and attentive and always make our daughter feel special. Allergies are taken seriously every time we visit. We always return because we have never been disappointed. By now I feel we should know all the staffs names, something to start doing on our next visit but Alicie was very helpful and knowledgeable. Even when super busy like tonight, the service was smooth and timely.

Pizza was so tasteless looked like it was made by a child.

They welcomed us with a homemade lemonade, we had a wonderful pizza, smiling staff, extremely pleasant atmosphere. Great selection of wines. I recommend it.

The Ask chain is usually a reliable bet for a mid-priced Italian meal… but not the branch in Great Malvern. Having booked for an early evening meal (we have small children) before a pantomime at the local theatre, our party of eight arrived bang on time. After 5 minutes looking for someone to seat us (there was no one on the front desk), we entered the main restaurant and asked a waitress for our table. She looked around the restaurant and then asked a male colleague, who told us that they couldn’t seat us because another party “has been here since lunchtime and haven’t left”!!! With no assistance forthcoming, we spent a further 5 minutes Googling alternatives and struck lucky with the nearby ‘Yak and Yeti’, who couldn’t have been more accommodating. I appreciate that around Christmas venues are often busy - perhaps there were issues with being short-handed. However, this was not the right way to treat a family party of 8 with small kids and a booking. “Give us ten minutes, we’ll get you a table” would have been the right way to handle this.

Amazing!! We had a party of 11 before our xmas party this month and it was fantastic We did a preorder and the service was great Set us up for a good night of drinking. Food was spot on too!

Went for a Boxing Day lunch. Attentive and efficient service by a friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious expertly cooked and prepared food I had the beef short rib with orzo - seriously good! All food comes in good sized but sensible portions,

Great and fast service during busy Christmas period

5.30 booking as to get a couple of pizzas before a 7.00 p.m. show at the theatre. Initial impression poor - not obvious where to check in, lots of uncleared tables. 50 minutes to get said pizzas to the table - that was only because after 30 minutes we flagged we had a deadline. Didn't really have time to do anything other than stuff them down in 10 minutes. Tasted fine but Not enjoyable. I think others waited much longer. They service just eat/ takeaway orders from the same kitchen and it just looked like that was the priority. Not enough staff. No obvious management. Chaotic and never again.

We had a lovely meal, all 26 of us at Great Malvern. It was a pre dinner meal before the theatre. Alicia and her staff worked so hard getting all the meals to our tables. The food was hot and fresh, delicious. And smiling Staff and happy to serve us, thank you.

Frequent visitor. Food menu is good. Part of Tesco Clubcard partners. Service always excellent. Food feels freshly prepared. Good pre theatre and also sign up to Ask for deals!

Stood in the doorway for 3 minutes, no signs telling me where to go or any sign of staff. Walked to top of stairs where I could hear signs of life, stood there like a lemon and still ignored by the two members of staff chatting at a table, so I assumed they didn't want my business and I've gone elsewhere.

Quick service today despite being busy, a few minor mix ups in the kitchen instantly sorted by the waiting staff who were very friendly. Another good visit

Not a good experience. The staff were behaving in a chaotic manner, often huddling together, leaving food to get cold on the pass and not serving in a reasonable amount of time. We never received our complimentary lemon. We ordered Sicilian Lemon which was overly diluted and weak and at £3.25 it was poor value. We waited over 40minutes for our food with no explanation for the lengthy wait. When it came it was luke warm because it sat on the pass too long. The deserts were pleasant but again it took a long time to take our order. We felt this was a poor experience and not worth the visit.

Fantastic service and great food, particularly the carbonara! Staff are very attentive to our allergy requirements which allows us to have a meal out feeling relaxed.

Restaurant was super busy but staff were unruffled and really helpful. When they knew we had a member of our party with an allergy ALICIA -(staff) was great and ensured she took our order alongside the allergen menu to ensure the food was safe. She went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. She also arranged a birthday song for our son! Thank you

The whole meal experience changed when Jorja took over serving our table. She was just brilliant with the kids and was amazingly efficient at getting desserts out quickly after a long wait for our main course. Jorja really is an asset to the restaurant and is a manager in the making.

Came here after watching a fantastic orchestra performance locally. Cultured boy in my old age. Had some picky bits here and it was delightful. Will be returning!

No staff anywhere when we arrived at 12.30 for our booked table. Waited a minute or so then went upstairs, no staff, back downstairs shouted hello, waited, no body came. So we left.

It's always a good sign when there's not a high turnover of staff. At Malvern Ask Italian, it's been Alicija and the guy with 4 daughters ! for years and they both do a great job. The place is always busy, friendly and efficient. Food always good and the atmosphere always lively and warm. 5 stars.

Ask in Malvern is a great restaurant, I have been there several times and the food is always good. Alex and his friendly team of staff are very efficient. We enjoyed the meals - they have a wide range of menu choices and something for everyone!

We were only in Great Malvern a week and we came here several times. Great food and great service. Miss Jorja was quite lovely. She has a wonderful sense of humor and was a fantastic waitress.

We've eaten here a lot over the years & have dine & dash down to a fine art when it comes to pre theatre dining. Know the menu & order the food with your drinks. Helps with the speed! Some new faces on the serving staff. I hope Alicja & Lee are still there. I chose the seafood tagliatelle which the head chef changed from a creamy sauce to a tomato based chilli one. Many thanks for that. Much better in my opinion. My daughter managed to scoff an entire margarita pizza! Always a friendly, relaxed atmosphere here. Busy at 6 pm but was organised.

Lovely evening, staff were very friendly and helpful...me and my partners meal were small portion wise though, didn't feel it equalled the price we paid.

Ask in Malvern is a bit unusual because you enter at street level but go upstairs to the dining room where there is also an outside area for when weather is good. We were there for a pre-theatre lunch as were several other tables (the theatre is just a short walk away). The food was very good and showed some imagination unlike many chain Italian restaurants. My calamari starter was in straight strips for eating by hand which was unusual but still tasted good. My prawn and crayfish with frilly tagliatelle was delicious with generous portions of the shellfish, plenty chilli and a rich sauce. The wine was reasonably priced and good quality. Throughout the waiter was fantastic - full of enthusiasm and very chatty, he couldn't have been more helpful. We're looking forward to returning for dinner in a couple of weeks.

A pre show dinner at the Great Malvern Ask Italian. Great friendly service and nice food. Portions are very generous. Early evening but quite a few people dining so a good atmosphere.

Ordered three delivery pizza via Just Eat on Tuesday Evening. The driver turned up slightly late and with the wrong order ! called Ask and it turns up that they gave the driver the wrong food parcel. The driver was kind enough to make another trip to collect the pizzas. But had to call Ask again to make sure the food was still coming as we waited a long time. We eventually had luke warm pizza 45 mins late. The outer crust of the pizza was rock solid, beyond crunchy. Neither we not the driver got an apology from Ask and i had to give the driver a generous tip for making an unpaid trip. Overall a bad experience.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

The pizza oven was offline for the evening, but the staff went out of their way to make sure we all got something good to eat.

Pity that the pizza ovens weren’t working, failed for several days, but the food that we did have was piping hot and very tasty.

I have not been to ASK in a long time, and this was a brilliant experience. This is thanks to a particular team member called Lee. It was just me and my daughter having a post swim lunchtime feast and Lee's time, attention, forethought and playfulness made the whole experience excellent and daughter loved it. To boot the food was tasty, filling and satisfying! Absolutely brilliant work! Thanks so much.

We couldn’t fault it!! Haven’t been to Ask in YEARS and was totally blown away with the food as well as the service. Didn’t catch his name but there was an incredibly friendly gentleman waiting on us (he had his hair tied back and seemed to be best friends with pretty much every other table). He absolutely made the experience, just so genuinely warm and friendly even though he was running around taking everyone else’s orders and delivering food to tables. Love the tote bag incentive, food was great, will be returning :)

We enjoyed a lovely late lunch on a Sunday. The courtyard was a great spot to enjoy our meal, with the sun shinning on us and a great few of the Malvern Hills. Thank you to Lee for looking after us.

Had a lovely lunch in Malvern. Staff had a friendly manner and food service was quick. The food itself was tasty and presented well. Asks prices have increased a little over the last couple of years which is a shame but apart from that another good experience at ask Malvern.
