ASK Italian - Worcester in Worcester

The stag is not efficient they are chatting all the time instead of attending the clients. They take long time to clean tables. The coffees were a mess!

We have been to ASK in Worcester 3 or 4 times now and the food has been outstanding every time. It is a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, quick service and easy access to order via the app. We had an issue with payment at our last visit but it was quickly resolved by the lovely staff. Thank you particularly to Niamh for the top service. We will be back again!

Caroline was absolutely amazing, we had a large booking and she helped me throughout the booking process and on the day. Everything went great on the day, the food and staff were wonderful, we had a great time. I really appreciate their hospitality :) thank you again Caroline

We waited at the door to be seated waited quite a while 3 members of staff came past did not even acknowledge us girl behind the bar just looked didn't even say hello . We didn't even have a table check to c if our food was OK. Probably won't come here again. Says when booking online look forward to seeing u. But that's not true.

Elegant restaurant, clean, perfect temperature, friendly staff who were attentive and accommodating. Food out promptly, hot & tasty. Really enjoyable evening, thank you.

Being new to Worcester we dcided to look for an appealing Italian or Spanish restaurant. Ask Italian is modern yet comfortable dining area for intimate or large party dining. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and both chose the pasta with shellfish, a bottle of Pinot and sorbet and lemon tart for dessert. Waiters were attentive, and all customers served a(I assumed palette cleansing) a good lemon cordial drink on being seated. Kitchen is on view to see your food being carefully prepared. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the photo of the main course until the shells were removed, but they are in the dish between our plates!

We both had the Pollo Della Casa with a Strawberry Mojito and Raspberry & Elderflower Cider. The manager came over to help us with our order because of my nut allergy and couldn't be nicer. The food came out shortly after and was delicious - perfectly cooked with a lovely stock base. We waited a little bit after the food to pay because it was pretty busy, but we'd definitely go again :)

Great food but experience was made much more enjoyable by the friendly and very helpful staff namely our server - Cazz. She was knowledgeable and was able to help us with food recommendations. She was very attentive and provided great customer service.

Lovely staff in particular Niamh who looked after us, brilliant food and super speedy service.

It really is a shame here. The food is always lovely and good value. There is a problem though, and it does seem peculiar to Ask Italian in Worcester, I have been to others. The two tables in front of the counter are used, in effect, as a staff canteen. It would be OK if the people, who are clearly staff, occupying the tables were enjoying a meal and possibly a well earned break.Most of them, however, were sat leaning forward forward on their chairs with a hand rolled cigarette hanging out the side of their mouths, clearly psyching themselves up for the trip outside into the cold to have a smoke. Strangely, the banter between them was quite amusing but probably a bit much. My suggestion would be this. Keep the tables for customers and send the staff to a room out the back. Will I go again? Yes. Next time I'll say something. I'm kicking myself that I didn't say anything at the time.

Cazz was amazing really attentive and patient with the children. Great service. She made everything easy and nothing was to much trouble even though she was really busy. She is an asset to the team

Arrival: Already, they've gone the extra mile by greeting us (a party of 4) at the door and smiling at us upon entry. Drinks Feedback: They've shown the ability to fulfil the drink order before the starter and the main course and they followed the requests as well as went the extra mile again by giving us a taster of their drinks which are currently on order. Starter Feedback: They've quickly and effectively served us piping-hot starters as well as given us warnings that the plate will be hot. Main Feedback: Similar to the starter feedback, the main course was piping hot and fresh food, and once again, they went the extra mile. Final thoughts: This branch aced the food, the drinks, basically everything. Well done, you should be proud Ask Italian, Worcester.

Had to wait an eternity on a quiet night over 45 minutes to even take a drinks order everything here operates in slow motion.

Mains are good. Desserts are expensive for what they are. Good service.

We waited a very long time for our order, but the food was very tasty.

Came in for a nice evening meal with friends. We were warmly greeted by the angel Kate, who led us over to our table. The restaurant is well lit and varnished with all the festive decorations. Staff were so friendly and so cool watching the chefs craft the pasta with the open kitchen style. Really happy with the food and the service. Will definitely be returning. Thank you ask Italian

Lovely food, went for early dinner while attending the Victorian Fayre in Worcester. We did feel a little 'rushed' to finish our food... but it was very nice. 😃

Lovely meal served quickly. Shame as an Italian restaurant, they have no green pesto available as an alternative for someone who is allergic to some of the sauces that come with certain dishes.

Ben and Kaitlyn was such sweethearts and so were the mangers! Food was incredible and made my mums birthday special thank you ask!!

So on arriving at the restaurant to dine In, we were asked whether we had any dietary requirements and it was from there I wish I hadn't said I was dairy free, we got told we couldn't be served by the waitresses due to only managers being allowed to serve people with allergies. Well to say the manager was near on useless is an understatement, we ordered food and drinks together which my partner ordered a starter which is made for sharing however it contained cheese so I couldn't have any, but before I could order mine the manager had ran off and didn't return for 40mins until she practically threw the starter on the table. We didn't receive the starters and drinks until 40mins after being sat down. When I believe it was the other manager a lovely gentleman bought our drinks over, he decided to remind me that the cheese dough balls contain dairy, and I advised that I wasn't eating them. He was like that's alright then. Our food finally arrived stone cold and the same portion size a child would be eating. We then waited another 40mins for the bill until we got fed up of being walked past by so many people, to be told at the bar that we need to take payment at the table! The best service we had during this experience was the manager holding the door open for us as we left. So unless you want to feel like you're plagued I wouldn't eat here ever again if you have an allergy.

We had to wait a while to put our order in, other people were served quicker. I assume this is because I have an allergy, as a Manager came to take our order after waiting a while. Noone had explained this process, so I just felt unwelcome. The good wasn't very nice, gluten free pizza base needed to be cooked longer and I didn't enjoy my pizza at all.

My friend and i go in often for lunch. The food is always lovely. Gabriela is lovely and friendly and looks after us.

The staff were all lovely, friendly & pleasant. The food was good, we loved the stuffed mushrooms, but a few of the items could have done with more seasoning. We had starters & mains with a side, but no dessert. We went in the early afternoon, and it was nice & quiet, which we prefer, being autistic. All in all good, and we'll be back 😊

My wife and I, rarely can afford to go out these days and was really looking forward t our date night. I ordered a pasta dish, which was revolting, it looked like it had been reheated badly as the pasta was solid in places in general tasteless. I pointed it out to the waitress and all she said was I'll inform the chef.....? nearly £17 for a pasta dish !

Went today, one of 2 tables occupied but still took well over an hour for 3 portions of pasta. Food was underwhelming, cold and had little actual taste. Paid just shy of £70 for 3 cold and measly sized portions of pasta. All in all, a bit rubbish.

Just visiting , called in Friday 13th lunch time, very quiet nice warm welcome had 3 courses 2 cocktails, absolutely lovely freshly cooked food well presented and really enjoyed everything. All staff very well presented and attentive. It's a 10 from us !. Derek & Sue , Hampshire.

Ordered via deliveroo. Food arrived but with virtually no sausage in the sausage pasta dish and a pretty small portion in total to be honest. Ordered 3 pots of dip, but each pot had barely a teaspoon of sauce in each. Prices keep going up, quality and portion sizes going down.

Really disappointed with the size of my salad, for £14 I expected something filling, it was tiny, lovely flavour but for the cost they could have at least filled the bowl with more lettuce.

I think Ask has lost its way a bit it is very much the Wetherspoon's of Italian restaurants these days. It is a bit over priced for what is very average food zero atmosphere and my pet hate is having to chase waiting staff for a bill and then again to be able to pay it why you cant just bring the card machine over with the bill ill never know.

Had an amazing meal with my mother, wife and 9 month old daughter. Gabriella was so welcoming and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed, fabulous host and made the experience amazing. The food was amazing and we were surprised and delighted to see they had a menu for babies. We thought this was an amazing option, will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Short break in Worcester. Came here first night. Lovely food and nice, helpful staff. Came back the second night which reinforced the view of food and staff.

Had a very pleasant meal in a group of 9 with 4 children in the party. Staff were polite and friendly but be careful if you go with tesco club card voucher/codes, as they will not work if it is a special date (mother's/father's day, summer solstice or if the moon is in Jupiter) so it is best to call first to make sure your visit doesn't fall on a Christian or Pagan Ritual to avoid disappointment. Food was very nice and service was reasonably quick (the restaurant was relatively full). The venue was clean and in good order with men's, ladies and a separate disabled toilet. There was no sign of any reminence of the covid social distancing measures. Note, if you are in a party of 6 or larger, there is an 'optional' 10% service charge added without this being brought to your attention. Everyone in our party was happy with their meal and enjoyed their stay. We will be back on one of the few days of the year where there isn't a celebration made up by marketing companies 🤑 or religious events which invalidate our tesco clubcard voucher 😉😁

The best pizza in Worcester! Staff are really friendly and helpful. You won't be disappointed, great food, cocktails and service.

We went as a family of 8 for my birthday meal. Four children two teenagers and two adults. The food was amazing as always and the service was exceptional our waitress Gabriela is a credit to the restaurant, we can't wait to come back again

Rang to book a table for 6:30, arrived at 6:20 to be told we booked for 4:15? Was told they will have to check if they could fit us in when restaurant was empty! Visited for my birthday and was offered a COMPLIMENTARY glass of prosecco which we had only to be charged for it on the bill! Front of house lady was rude when we arrived stating we were late and didn’t show up at the booking time which she had incorrectly booked. Wont be visiting again

Arrived for lunch, to be greeted with card payment only and told you won't be given change if cash is used! Then once seated very short and rudly from the gentlemen from the front of house to then find before eating our glasses with lipstick stains & other stains. Ended up going Cosy Club for a much better greeting and everything else. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend to anyone else. Once mentioned about the glasses the staff member wasn't really bothered.

Had the Christmas set menu at Worcester on Saturday . Starter rated 10 out of 10 mushrooms Al forno. . Sweet also 10 tiramisu was our best ever . We have had lots of meals at Ask previously and always happy however this latest main meal let the experience down. Had Pollo Milanese roasted chicken in bread crumbs but was tasteless and bland and not seasoned enough with only small amount of mushroom sauce. On returning home and seeing the example on line of how it should have looked it was obvious that ours wasn't roasted enough possibly rushed as busy and the herbs as appear to be illustrated in photo were missing. Wish I had taken photo but will make them aware next time I visit.

Can't go wrong if you go to any ASK restraunts .High class Italian food is guaranteed. never failed us anywhere ..

We visited as a family for a meal on a Friday evening. You needed to order your food and drinks via a web page, which worked well. Starters arrived reasonably quickly. It was around 50 minutes wait between starter and main. Other tables were asking after their orders. The restaurant was sending out lots of takeaways which meant those dining in had to wait quite some time. Food was OK, but nothing special considering the cost.

We arrived about 15 minutes early and although busy we were seated in minutes by the lovely Cazz. We had our drinks ordered in no time and were advised that there would be a small wait for food as they were packed. We definitely appreciated being told this up front but we also said we didn’t mind as we are in no rush whatsoever. Anyway order was placed after we finished our drinks and the food came out in very good time considering how busy they were. Everything hot and delicious. We had no complaints at all and would again like to thank the staff but especially Cazz for her brilliant enthusiasm and attentiveness in what seemed like a very stressful evening! Visited after a stroll around our beautiful city. Lovely food and a shout out to waitress Khalifa for great service.

First time here for a while and having a bad experience at Zizzi recently we thought we would try Ask again. So glad we did, the staff are happy and smile, the service was excellent and all the meals were tasty and piping hot. Genuinely can’t wait to return, great work Ask, keep it up.

This restaurant is an embarrassment to Italian food. I can't believe how poor our meal was last night. 6 people for an engagement celebration. Service was poor, although I must say our waitress was lovely and tried her best but their system of "order on the app" is not a replacement for customer service when you have people needing to pay separately. However the food was terrible unless you had a pizza and then it was fine. The prawn and crayfish pasta was literally a bowl of pasta, barely any "creamy tomato and seafood sauce" it was literally dry and it was priced at £14.95. The polo milanese was just awful! It came out like a pub child's dinner, I've never seen anything like it also costing £13.95 for two small pieces of breaded chicken, loads of chips and some brocoli. Unprofessional waitress (not dedicated to our table) was rude to our waitress and even when realising she said herself to our table she feels bad now... just absolutely not needed. When we went to pay for the bill, we had to wait and hail someone down, no one came to ask how our meals were or if we wanted any drinks, totally relying on the app. On the table they have offers for free zucchini, the first batch were removed from the bill but when someone else said they had a voucher for a free side they were told it couldn't be removed from the bill. All in all, so disappointing and all of us agreed we wouldn't be returning.

Visited with my 7 year old daughter. Service was attentive yet not pushy, food was excellent. Staff friendly and chatty especially the lovely Gabriella. Restaurant was clean and lovely atmosphere. Will certainly visit again.

Good meal nice food friendly staff

We were passing through Worcester on a one night stay before visiting an attraction in the area the next day. We were served by Gabi who was very friendly and delivered great customer service. Gabi apologised for a slight delay to our food being served due to the restaurant operating with one chef due to covid-19. She helpfully explained how the app worked and allowed us to use our vouchers when they wouldn’t be accepted by the app. The food was great and really tasty. Cocktails were on top form.

My husband booked a table on Sunday for Monday for my birthday, when we arrived they had not got it after alot of commotion and feeling very unwelcome, they worked out who took the booking and told us about the staff shortage and manager in the kitchen. Just what you want to hear for a meal out for your birthday. After working out who took the booking they finally sat us. The restaurant was dead. We were in their an hour if that, we felt very uncomfortable and unwanted, and completely ruined our evening. The only upside was the gent in the white shirt did offer an apology when bringing over our drinks however it was too little too late. We ate and left. Reluctantly, if there Had been a table avaliable elsewhere we would have 100% left. Never again. Thanks for ruining my birthday

This is my go to place when I decide to eat out, the food is always good and they cater for allergies better than most restaurants. However the main reason I keep coming back is the staff, they are attentive but not too much where you feel like your being watched. There is one lady in particular (I am disappointed in myself that I haven’t got her name) she is amazing! So polite and happy to help!

Service is excellent and the menu is what you'd expect from an Ask Italian but saying that the menu is feeling a bit tired; and please could there be more choice in the desert menu that doen't involve chocolate!

Great food and service. Went on Friday night and called ahead to book. The venue was quite busy as things start to return to normal. We had starters each, mains and a drink each. Expect to pay around £55-60. Service was very good with the staff being attentive throughout. There is an option to pay using your phone and ordering via it too for ease if you prefer.

We went there tonight for our 13th wedding anniversary and we’re made to feel special from the outset. We were congratulated on arrival and then given a complimentary glass of Prosecco each. The waitress was fantastic all evening, food was superb and atmosphere just right. Thanks to all!

A friend had booked this restaurant in Worcester for lunch.The service was good, quick and pleasant, and drinks were brought promptly.The pasta was freshly cooked, and my friend enjoyed it. My wife and I shared a number of starters, and they were were of a decent size and well cooked. Overall very good.My friend accidentally brushed a bottle on to the floor an it smashed. we appreciated the calm and efficient way that the staff cleared this up.Even though part of a 'chain' this was a positive experience, and I'd be happy to return.

We ate here early one Saturday evening in July. We had prebooked although the restaurant was very quiet.We had starters, a main and a drink each. The food was good - mushrooms and chicken lecce ti start followed by pizza and lasagne. We paid for the food with Tesco vouchers. Not sure we would visit here without vouchers as it’s expensive for what you get.Friendly staff. Nice to be able to see the food being prepared in the open kitchen.Recommended, especially with vouchers.

Went here after son’s graduation, food excellent, staff lovely, when I mentioned son had just graduated, he got glass of Prosecco on the house. Nice atmosphere and surroundings.

6 of us went for a long-awaited meal out after covid restrictions had been lifted. We booked ASK Italian as we thought it would cater to all our tastes, and I’m pleased to say we all left feeling full and happy!Didn’t catch the name of the man on the door, but he was extremely friendly and apologetic about our table taking longer than expected to be made up. He explained the Covid procedures, which were always adhered to, and made us all feel safe without feeling like prisoners. The restaurant appeared to be at full capacity, which we expected, and this did affect service and wait times somewhat. The waitresses were completely on the ball however, and never once slowed down as they tried to keep everyone happy.The food itself arrived after a pretty lengthy wait, but was hot and tasty when it did. As a group of 6 friends, splitting the bill was always going to be difficult, however paying and ordering on the app couldn’t have been easier, and we were able to split the bill without too much mental maths.Would definitely return, if not for the brilliant food then for the atmosphere and the feeling of freedom from Covid

The food here is nice, the restaurant itself is well laid out and the staff are very friendly. Sometimes they are slow to attend to you but overall they are great and we have had a very lovely manager attend to us specifically a couple of times when we have been a bit disappointed / not been given correct dishes, and he has either taken the food off the menu or discounted - which we would not ask for - so that was very kind of him to do, he is definitely a credit to the place.

Sat down at the outside tables - ignored for a while by staff - Tried to order via app but wouldn’t accept our table number or any we tried.Eventually managed to get someone’s attention and was told app didn’t work because we hadn’t been inside to register.After ordering noticed any other table arriving got a complimentary limoncello but never offered to us.Poor at clearing tables and never checked if food ok etc. (To be fair it was)

As soon as we ordered the starter arrived (before our drinks had!) and then our desert came straight after (before our main meal) which was a bit bizarre and we felt quite rushed, however the waiter Aaron was very friendly and chatty so we had a good experience mainly because of him.

Enjoyed being back at the restaurant after months. Food was lovely and presented well. Our server Gabi was very friendly as always and checked how we'd been as we use to visit often before 2020.

After all we decided to stay outdoor for a pizza and pasta in family, Razvan recommended Calzone Pollo pizza which my soon eat half, and for my wife had as recommendation Asparagus Pancetta Carbonarra which she couldn't eat all( I be finished)Lovely place and Friendly staff

I was there in oct and the same waitress served us- Gabriella. She was as nice as the first time. Very friendly. I loved it both first time and now. Recommend it!!!
