Impasto in Worcester

The food is delicious and a good range of Pizza and Pasta. Friendly staff and great service. Price is good.

We had to reserve about a week in advance, and it was definitely worth it! We went for an early dinner and their pizzas were all 12£, which was a great deal. For appetizers we got the Valenciana Dirty fries and the Chorizo and chicken Arancini. Both were good for their price, the fries were definitely quite filling. The Arancini came with a mayo like sauce, which in my personal opinion was a bit heavy and I think a tomato sauce would have paired better. Then we ordered the pizzas, Carne Bianca and the Manzo, and both were very delicious. Definitely would order either of those again! Overall it was a lot of food for two people and we took leftovers home, but it was all great. The service was also nice and the atmosphere was cozy, the space was quite small but well distributed. Would definitely recommend anyone to go and personally go back again!

Visited for the first time & everything was nice. Atmosphere was lovely and food was good but I didn’t find it amazing. I would recommend but I wouldn’t rush back myself.

Group of 7 of us ate at Impasto, food was good, atmosphere was good, it's quite a small place with a basement seating area. The servers were friendly, only criticism was it was a bit slow. Almost 3 hours for 3 courses, got there at 6:15 left at 9. That could use some improvement.

Love this place, can't get better pizza in Worcester!

Food was good but despite booking ahead and arriving in a virtually empty restaurant, we were seated in the basement next to the bathroom. Our server seemed quite dismissive, so it wasn’t a great experience. It’s a shame as have heard really good things about this place - again, the food was nice, but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired.

Amazing food and great service. We went for a family meal and we had the following which were all delicious, fresh and full of flavour the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. Tortelloni, Espanola, Carne Bianco, Mac m Cheese, Caserecce Valenciana, and cheesy garlic bread. We also had Afragato and Gelato for dessert.

Thoroughly enjoyed eating here. We sat in an alcove downstairs and the restaurant filled up quickly after us. The pizza was superb with a crispy and tasty base topped with pesto and chicken. They were about 12-14" and completely covered with ingredients. Highly recommended.

I had the Funghi Pizza and for the £12.00 i spent it was very good value for money. Also had the calmari for a starter and again i Enjoyed this. Decent value for money and would reccomend

Food tastes as good as it smells when you walk past will be back.

Was told our table would be on the ground floor in front of the bar. Got there early and they had given away our table to another group of people. Instead put us in their basement which was cramped and hot. They had no air con or fans. Took a long time to take our orders and gave us a single jug of water (somehow meant to be enough for 8 people), which we asked for as soon as we were seated. Drinks were nice, food was a bit hit or miss, the garlic bread was drenched in oil. Defiantly overpriced. Watched the staff tip a drink all over a lady and her handbag within the first 5 mins of being seated. Forgot one of our mains. Then to tip it off they put an £30 optional service fee onto our bill without even telling us. Would of given a tip if the service was good and if they didn't try to add an additional fee without telling us.

I had the Ragu Loaded Fries - it was amazing value - huge amount of food and lots of large chunks of beef in the sauce. We were there earlier in the evening and the staff were brilliant but _very_ busy. We were sat right by the kitchen which made for a hot atmosphere on hot day. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely exquisite- best Italian I’ve been to and the best restaurant in Worcester. Everything was delicious! Especially the Orzo! The pistachio panacotta was out of this world and your coffee was incredible 🙌

Absolute gem in the centre of Worcester, homemade pastas, pizzas and dips, I had the gnocchi and it was delicious, and very generous servings, the service was also very good, if we ever visited Worcester again I would happily go back!

A fantastic experience from start to finish! My daughter and I were welcomed on arrival and had the most wonderful food ; we both had pasta which was divine and shared a garlic bread, wow ! If you like great service and exceptional food then don’t miss out on this superb restaurant !

My wife and I visited Impasto yesterday (Friday) lunch time just after opening. That's why I only put the atmosphere at 2 stars as there was only us in. After my wife said she wanted a pizza, I dropped the pasta idea and went for one two. It was the best pizza I ve eaten in the UK in my life, and I am 57; and love pizza. It was also better than some I ve eaten in Italy. I loved the decor of the place. And thr staff were a credit to the owners. It was our wedding anniversary, and this visit made for a memorable day. We will definitely go back.

The food wasn’t bad but it has nothing to do with Italian food and it is overpriced. £18 for a small plate of average pasta is way too much. Just another kind of “ask Italian” and fake Italian restaurants around.

Could not fault this place. An impromptu pop in and we sat in the window. Great music, very friendly staff, and we loved the atmosphere. There are a few tables upstairs, but there are more tables downstairs too. I ordered a carnivore pizza, (all pizzas are £12 before 7pm) and the good lady ordered the Orzo Calabreze (gluten free option) which had tiger prawns in it (and it was noted that they didn’t skimp on the ingredients!). The smell of the pizza being baked, and being able to see it being made adds to the atmosphere, and the pizza, was delicious. Not too heavy, with plenty of toppings. My other half absolutely loved the pasta dish too. A scoop of gelato to finish, and two very happy customers who had managed to avoid the rush hour traffic home. Something else to add, which I think is important, is that I went to the loo and it was immaculately clean, which I think says a lot. This is a family run business, and it’s clear that they’ve put a lot of thought, effort and care into the style and vibe of the restaurant. They should be proud of what they’ve accomplished here. It’s a gem, and we must support these independent businesses. I wish I was local so I could visit more often.

We booked a table midweek for dinner. When we arrived all the staff were super friendly and the venue is beautiful and intimate. We were seated downstairs and offered a drink straight away, we had a really gorgeous bottle of wine and had a look through the menu. They had a deal on pizza, which we both decided to go for, and we were recommended to try the loaded fries by some friends. The order was taken and our food came out in good time. The Diavolo pizza was really nice, base was really good, it was seasoned well and had a spicy kick, all the pizzas are a really good size too. The Ragu loaded fries were really good too, the portion was massive and the brisket was really good, they were generous with the toppings too which you don’t often see. The other pizza we had was the white base chicken pizza, we were a little let down by this one, the white base sauce was bland and there was nothing really on the pizza to bring the flavour back, we think as well because the Diavolo pizza was so flavoursome and well seasoned, it made it obvious that this one didn’t stand up to it. Overall we had a really nice evening, just slightly let down by one of the pizzas, but this won’t put us off returning as the staff were excellent and the value for money was definitely worth it and the rest of the food was nice.

Came across this little independent Italian restaurant by accident. Good Italian food , huge portions ( had a doggy bag cos so much! ) . Really friendly staff and good atmosphere. Will visit again.

When there's only 2 of you on a cold Wednesday afternoon and the atmosphere, food and service are still brilliant, you know you've found a little gem. Ordered the daytime special of a pizza each for £12.... I wish I hadn't! Not because it was horrible (it wasn't, it was gorgeous) but because one pizza would easily do 2 people and you'd have room for the amazing looking canolis they do. The service was attentive and friendly. And the drinks were cold and delicious. Definitely will be back.

After hearing lots of good things about the place, we finally made it. We hasn't booked but they found space for us on the bar which didn't detract from the service at all. Food was so lovely. Can't wait to come back and try some other dishes.

I usually rave about this place but today was let down by minimal attention from staff who were more interested in a loud regular. Food was as usual superb.

We had a lovely meal at Impasto last night. We ate upstairs, the entrees were very tasty, the desert was really good, very friendly staff and a reasonable (eg moderately priced) bill. We will make the journey back again. A reservation is advised, we tried to walk in last week on a Thursday and they were booked out.

Better than the pizzas we had in Italy!! We went as a couple for the midweek deal (£12 per pizza - an absolute bargain). I had the diavolo. The crust was thin, but not so thin it fell apart, perfect. The meat was tasty and thick, I could tell it was quality. A generous amount of cheese on top and the spicy sauce was delicious. The pizza was much bigger than I expected so I even got to take some home to enjoy for dinner. We sat downstairs, as it was midweek it was nice and quiet and the staff were attentive but not over attentive which was nice. We will definitely return with friends!

Impasto was recommended to me by a lovely local of the area and I couldn't been happier to have taken it. Impasto is a small restaurant that is ran by great staff. The atmosphere really does take me back to Italy as it's a very cosy and welcoming environment to be in. The food is out of this world! Full of flavour and very generous portions, especially considering i barely managed to finish a pizza and loaded fries shared between two people. Would highly recommend going if you are in the area.

Very surprised to be leaving this review, I'm not sure if we went on an off night but our food was very disappointing. The olives were delicious, but our pasta and tiramisu were very bland, and we ended up throwing the takeaway cannoli in the bin after a few bites as it was not enjoyable at all. The staff and ambience at least were lovely.

Fantastic separate vegan menu with lots of choices. The orzo was fantastic with lots of sauce and garlic bread very heavy on garlic (thankfully). Free glass of prosecco for my mom on mother's day. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Also dog friendly

Took my mother for lunch as an early Mother’s Day present. LOVED the downstairs area, feels great to be away from the noise and bustle of the high street so you can concentrate on your company and on the food. Order the Chicken and Mushroom pasta with Black Truffle sauce and it was absolutely delicious, my mother had one of the Chefs specials with 3 different types of Seafood in it and that was divine too. We shared the Pesto Garlic Bread from the Chefs Special menu and it was a huge portion for only £8 - more than enough to share. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We were seated quickly, the staff were friendly and engaging and the food was truly beautiful. I’ll be going back to try the Vegan Menu with my partner really soon!

Loved it, service was fantastic and felt very well looked after. Mid week and there was a special offer on the pizzas which turned out to be fantastic, nicest pizza I have hsd outside of Italy!

I took my mom here for lunch today. We've visited many times and loved the food. Today we thought we'd try something different. Absolutely delicious! We had the antipasti board and Ragu fries. Super tasty and a great selection. Staff always brilliant! Great atmosphere! Reliably excellent 👌

It was the best pizza we ever had! It was fresh and extremely delicious. We definitely recommend it!! The only thing we regret is we didn't discover this place earlier! The staff were very friendly and polite. This is our favourite restaurant from now on in Worcester!!

Fabulous food....simply wonderful.

Poor experience. There was no record of our booking upon arrival, we were left stood hovering over people eating for around 5 minutes feeling incredibly awkward. Were told by the manager (who was very rude!) there was no record of our booking but when showed the booking book it was there, eventually cleared a table and we sat down. A couple came in shortly after us and were served immediately yet we were left waiting, no apology from staff or the manager. Food was average- won’t be returning…

Food was great. Staff were disgraceful. Rude, not helpful, felt like we were being rushed, forgot items, had to ask three times for simple sauces and water. When the bill came we had an additional £70+ on our bill and felt that staff were annoyed that we had spotted it. When we asked for a revised bill it then came and yet again was wrong. Not impressed at all and won’t be returning. A shame as the food was lovely

Very small but fabulous little restaurant. Popped in without having heard nothing about it and it was fabulous. Incredibly tasty, friendly service and well priced - will definitely become a regular haunt when in Worcester and fancying some grub 👍👍

Waited 45 mins before asking how long our starter would be,to be told its on the way 10mins later after we had seen the table behind us being served after ordering after us we decided to leave ,my Husband being polite went to advise the staff we were leaving,my Husband was asked if he would like to see the Manager,he told the Manager we had been waiting 55 minutes by this time to which the Manager replied Would you like to run the Restaurant,my Husband replied no thats your job and your not doing it very well,very disappointing attitude and evening we were looking forward to.

A great little Italian restaurant with a classic Italian pizza menu. I had the Capricciosa which was very tasty and full of toppings. The loaded fries are really good and the serving sizes are very generous.

Absolutely brilliant! Visited mid-week with a friend, from the welcome through to the finish this restaurant was just amazing. The welcome was perfect and as had booked took us to our table. The young lady who served us throughout was polite, accommodating and ensured we were well taken care of. The perfect blend of attentive without being imposing. Also, showed they take customer care seriously as checked on allergies when requesting a change (it was just due to a dislike of one of the toppings). She is a real credit to Impasto. Food was mind blowing (forgot to take a photo as was hungry and couldn't wait to dig in!) - cooked to perfection, obvious that everything was fresh made. Even the garlic mayo was outstanding! The chefs obviously know their stuff and cannot recommend Impasto highly enough. Good value for money (especially when factoring in drinks) and will definitely return again and again.

10/10! You won’t be disappointed with the food or atmosphere. Honestly one of the best Italian meals we’ve had outside of Italy. Delicious trio of dips – we didn’t expect much as we just thought would be flavoured Hummus, but they were incredible. Really nice cocktails. Wide selection of home made pizza and pasta. Two of us had the Ragu special it was stunning. One had the pizza really delicious freshly stretched though that was prepared behind us. The star of the show was the spinach and ricotta tortellin. A super common dish, but this was exceptional really delicious fillings; rich sauce with mushroom and pancetta. A few of us tried/stole of someone’s plate and it will definitely be a go to dish next time. We’re really excited to head back here. Great atmosphere, all of the staff genuinely loved being there. You could feel the warmth in the energy as they served guests and prepared food/spoke to each other in the open kitchen.

We visited Worcester today and had lunch in Impasto. Food was amazing! I had tortelloni, my husband carbonara fries and my son prosciutto fungi pizza. Quality of food was mind-blowing.Great coffee too. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back again in future.

It’s not in Italy so it can’t be 5 stars, but considering that we are in Worcester, the “italian” food is quite good. Not that expensive either.

Called in early one evening recently with relatives we were visiting in Worcester and I'm so glad we chose this place. The food was excellent as were the staff and service. Really can't give this place enough praise as I think their pizzas are possibly the best I've ever tasted. That good.

Went for a special occasion and it was perfect. The Agnolotti Arragosta was absolutely amazing, and the pizzas were a great (think doggy bag) size. Highly recommended for any night out!

We loved it here, my partner took me after visiting for a friend's retirement meal. The food is exquisite, the wait staff are lovely and the place is gorgeous. The only issue we had on both occasions were drinks refils were slow or non existent. But we still had a great time,highly recommended and will be visiting again. 😀

Despite a week of meals out on expenses, cooked lunch and a hotel cooked breakfast, we went to Impasto and the food was superb. Great little place and pottery good value. The service couldn't be faulted and even took the leftover slice away with me for later. Would definitely recommend.

The food here was incredible, we’ve been wanting to try here for a while and are so glad we did. Really nice place inside and staff were great. Whilst there, there were two customers on another table who were causing a fuss and being rude to staff. Staff remained calm and handled the situation extremely well. We were pleasantly surprised by the bill and felt we had great value for money. Lily who served us was polite, attentive and a credit to Impasto! Thanks for a lovely evening!

Food was so nice. All fresh and delicious and big portions. Experience was, however, tainted by the unpleasant manager. I booked the table by phone a few weeks ago and was told I'd be receiving a follow up call at some point to pay a deposit. That follow up call was three times all on one day at 12pm 1pm and 6pm while I was at work two days before the reservation. By the time I got home and saw the voicemails they had already given my table away! I cannot answer my phone at work. The staff tried to insist that they'd called me multiple times the previous day but I had the logs infront of me and it clearly wasn't true, they just wanted to justify giving my table away, and if they check their call logs they will know the truth. We were seated at the sister restaurant over the road in the end, and the food was so lovely, but the manager spoke to me like a parent telling off his child over the phone and it made me so sad.

A wonderful dining experience. Everything was perfect: service, atmosphere, food. We had the white bait and calamari for starters and both were excellent. The calamari wasn't rubbery and had an excellent seasoned coating. The whitebait were delicious and a good serving for £4! For mains we had the tortellini and seafood pizza: both were exceptional. This is some of the best Italian food I have had, including from Italy. Cannot wait to go back and sample more of the menu. Thank you!

Very good value lunch with a shared 12" pizza for £10 with side salad and drinks. All great quality and a superb friendly welcome from our host. Revisit for home made pasta and Tiramisu. All very tasty with the usual friendly welcome. Another visit taking friends who were very impressed. They shared pizza. We had pasta dishes. Plus dessert. All excellent as ever.

The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the prawn pasta and black truffle cheese pizza. Both exceeded our expectations. My only criticism was being placed right by the front door which was really cold and no other tables were occupied, we felt a little out of it from the main restaurant despite booking so many weeks in advance. Service was very good, the lady in charge was doing a very well to guide the other waiting -on staff.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an authentic Italian restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat.
