Impasto in Worcester

We had a lovely meal at Impasto last night. We ate upstairs, the entrees were very tasty, the desert was really good, very friendly staff and a reasonable (eg moderately priced) bill. We will make the journey back again. A reservation is advised, we tried to walk in last week on a Thursday and they were booked out.

Better than the pizzas we had in Italy!! We went as a couple for the midweek deal (£12 per pizza - an absolute bargain). I had the diavolo. The crust was thin, but not so thin it fell apart, perfect. The meat was tasty and thick, I could tell it was quality. A generous amount of cheese on top and the spicy sauce was delicious. The pizza was much bigger than I expected so I even got to take some home to enjoy for dinner. We sat downstairs, as it was midweek it was nice and quiet and the staff were attentive but not over attentive which was nice. We will definitely return with friends!

Impasto was recommended to me by a lovely local of the area and I couldn't been happier to have taken it. Impasto is a small restaurant that is ran by great staff. The atmosphere really does take me back to Italy as it's a very cosy and welcoming environment to be in. The food is out of this world! Full of flavour and very generous portions, especially considering i barely managed to finish a pizza and loaded fries shared between two people. Would highly recommend going if you are in the area.

Very surprised to be leaving this review, I'm not sure if we went on an off night but our food was very disappointing. The olives were delicious, but our pasta and tiramisu were very bland, and we ended up throwing the takeaway cannoli in the bin after a few bites as it was not enjoyable at all. The staff and ambience at least were lovely.

Fantastic separate vegan menu with lots of choices. The orzo was fantastic with lots of sauce and garlic bread very heavy on garlic (thankfully). Free glass of prosecco for my mom on mother's day. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Also dog friendly

Took my mother for lunch as an early Mother’s Day present. LOVED the downstairs area, feels great to be away from the noise and bustle of the high street so you can concentrate on your company and on the food. Order the Chicken and Mushroom pasta with Black Truffle sauce and it was absolutely delicious, my mother had one of the Chefs specials with 3 different types of Seafood in it and that was divine too. We shared the Pesto Garlic Bread from the Chefs Special menu and it was a huge portion for only £8 - more than enough to share. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We were seated quickly, the staff were friendly and engaging and the food was truly beautiful. I’ll be going back to try the Vegan Menu with my partner really soon!

Loved it, service was fantastic and felt very well looked after. Mid week and there was a special offer on the pizzas which turned out to be fantastic, nicest pizza I have hsd outside of Italy!

I took my mom here for lunch today. We've visited many times and loved the food. Today we thought we'd try something different. Absolutely delicious! We had the antipasti board and Ragu fries. Super tasty and a great selection. Staff always brilliant! Great atmosphere! Reliably excellent 👌

It was the best pizza we ever had! It was fresh and extremely delicious. We definitely recommend it!! The only thing we regret is we didn't discover this place earlier! The staff were very friendly and polite. This is our favourite restaurant from now on in Worcester!!

Fabulous food....simply wonderful.

Poor experience. There was no record of our booking upon arrival, we were left stood hovering over people eating for around 5 minutes feeling incredibly awkward. Were told by the manager (who was very rude!) there was no record of our booking but when showed the booking book it was there, eventually cleared a table and we sat down. A couple came in shortly after us and were served immediately yet we were left waiting, no apology from staff or the manager. Food was average- won’t be returning…

Waited 45 mins before asking how long our starter would be,to be told its on the way 10mins later after we had seen the table behind us being served after ordering after us we decided to leave ,my Husband being polite went to advise the staff we were leaving,my Husband was asked if he would like to see the Manager,he told the Manager we had been waiting 55 minutes by this time to which the Manager replied Would you like to run the Restaurant,my Husband replied no thats your job and your not doing it very well,very disappointing attitude and evening we were looking forward to.

Food was great. Staff were disgraceful. Rude, not helpful, felt like we were being rushed, forgot items, had to ask three times for simple sauces and water. When the bill came we had an additional £70+ on our bill and felt that staff were annoyed that we had spotted it. When we asked for a revised bill it then came and yet again was wrong. Not impressed at all and won’t be returning. A shame as the food was lovely

A great little Italian restaurant with a classic Italian pizza menu. I had the Capricciosa which was very tasty and full of toppings. The loaded fries are really good and the serving sizes are very generous.

Oh my goodness the fresh pasta was amazing and the pistachio sundae superb. Service was quick, we were seated in the quirky basement and completely lost track of time chatting as we didn’t see the sun setting. It was perfect, we’ll be back

It's very small but that's kinda cute, it does make it harder to hear your group as you are so close to everyone else but the food was great and the staff were lovely.

Absolutely brilliant! Visited mid-week with a friend, from the welcome through to the finish this restaurant was just amazing. The welcome was perfect and as had booked took us to our table. The young lady who served us throughout was polite, accommodating and ensured we were well taken care of. The perfect blend of attentive without being imposing. Also, showed they take customer care seriously as checked on allergies when requesting a change (it was just due to a dislike of one of the toppings). She is a real credit to Impasto. Food was mind blowing (forgot to take a photo as was hungry and couldn't wait to dig in!) - cooked to perfection, obvious that everything was fresh made. Even the garlic mayo was outstanding! The chefs obviously know their stuff and cannot recommend Impasto highly enough. Good value for money (especially when factoring in drinks) and will definitely return again and again.

Attended a wedding, impasto supplied the food. Absolutely top notch. The pizzas were excellent ,The ragu 👌wow. The dips the mozzarella all great. Many thanks to all the staff. Thank you. .

10/10! You won’t be disappointed with the food or atmosphere. Honestly one of the best Italian meals we’ve had outside of Italy. Delicious trio of dips – we didn’t expect much as we just thought would be flavoured Hummus, but they were incredible. Really nice cocktails. Wide selection of home made pizza and pasta. Two of us had the Ragu special it was stunning. One had the pizza really delicious freshly stretched though that was prepared behind us. The star of the show was the spinach and ricotta tortellin. A super common dish, but this was exceptional really delicious fillings; rich sauce with mushroom and pancetta. A few of us tried/stole of someone’s plate and it will definitely be a go to dish next time. We’re really excited to head back here. Great atmosphere, all of the staff genuinely loved being there. You could feel the warmth in the energy as they served guests and prepared food/spoke to each other in the open kitchen.

We visited Worcester today and had lunch in Impasto. Food was amazing! I had tortelloni, my husband carbonara fries and my son prosciutto fungi pizza. Quality of food was mind-blowing.Great coffee too. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back again in future.

It’s not in Italy so it can’t be 5 stars, but considering that we are in Worcester, the “italian” food is quite good. Not that expensive either.

Called in early one evening recently with relatives we were visiting in Worcester and I'm so glad we chose this place. The food was excellent as were the staff and service. Really can't give this place enough praise as I think their pizzas are possibly the best I've ever tasted. That good.

Went for a special occasion and it was perfect. The Agnolotti Arragosta was absolutely amazing, and the pizzas were a great (think doggy bag) size. Highly recommended for any night out!

We loved it here, my partner took me after visiting for a friend's retirement meal. The food is exquisite, the wait staff are lovely and the place is gorgeous. The only issue we had on both occasions were drinks refils were slow or non existent. But we still had a great time,highly recommended and will be visiting again. 😀

Despite a week of meals out on expenses, cooked lunch and a hotel cooked breakfast, we went to Impasto and the food was superb. Great little place and pottery good value. The service couldn't be faulted and even took the leftover slice away with me for later. Would definitely recommend.

The food here was incredible, we’ve been wanting to try here for a while and are so glad we did. Really nice place inside and staff were great. Whilst there, there were two customers on another table who were causing a fuss and being rude to staff. Staff remained calm and handled the situation extremely well. We were pleasantly surprised by the bill and felt we had great value for money. Lily who served us was polite, attentive and a credit to Impasto! Thanks for a lovely evening!

Lovely food, good service & nice atmosphere.

Food was so nice. All fresh and delicious and big portions. Experience was, however, tainted by the unpleasant manager. I booked the table by phone a few weeks ago and was told I'd be receiving a follow up call at some point to pay a deposit. That follow up call was three times all on one day at 12pm 1pm and 6pm while I was at work two days before the reservation. By the time I got home and saw the voicemails they had already given my table away! I cannot answer my phone at work. The staff tried to insist that they'd called me multiple times the previous day but I had the logs infront of me and it clearly wasn't true, they just wanted to justify giving my table away, and if they check their call logs they will know the truth. We were seated at the sister restaurant over the road in the end, and the food was so lovely, but the manager spoke to me like a parent telling off his child over the phone and it made me so sad.

A wonderful dining experience. Everything was perfect: service, atmosphere, food. We had the white bait and calamari for starters and both were excellent. The calamari wasn't rubbery and had an excellent seasoned coating. The whitebait were delicious and a good serving for £4! For mains we had the tortellini and seafood pizza: both were exceptional. This is some of the best Italian food I have had, including from Italy. Cannot wait to go back and sample more of the menu. Thank you!

Simply the best pizza I've had in Worcester!

Very good value lunch with a shared 12" pizza for £10 with side salad and drinks. All great quality and a superb friendly welcome from our host. Revisit for home made pasta and Tiramisu. All very tasty with the usual friendly welcome. Another visit taking friends who were very impressed. They shared pizza. We had pasta dishes. Plus dessert. All excellent as ever.

The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the prawn pasta and black truffle cheese pizza. Both exceeded our expectations. My only criticism was being placed right by the front door which was really cold and no other tables were occupied, we felt a little out of it from the main restaurant despite booking so many weeks in advance. Service was very good, the lady in charge was doing a very well to guide the other waiting -on staff.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an authentic Italian restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat. One of the best if not the best pizza I’ve had. Tried this place out whilst staying in Worcester for a few nights. Situated in the city centre this little hidden nest is an absolute gem. Great atmosphere, quirky decor, pleasant friendly staff. And and the food was splendid 10/10

This is a fabulous independent pizza and pasta restaurant. Don't be put off by the limited seating on view at ground level, there is a lot of seating in a very cool space downstairs. When my wife and I visited Impasto we were lucky to get a table as the place was packed. Booking is, therefore, essential. The reason for its popularity is obvious, the food is excellent and good value. It's an unqualified recommendation from me.

Warm and cosy downstairs. Lovely food and just right size portions. Excellent service and not hurrying you through your meal.

Came here as a couple on the 17th. I would definitely recommend it. Worcester has a huge amount of choice for food, and I have been to a large amount, but Impasto stands out as one of my favourite places to eat after my first visit. We both had pasta dishes, and they were both fantastic. I am looking forward to revisit to try the pizzas or the tapas dishes.

What a place! Went here with my boyfriend for date night as we enjoy trying new places - well this place may be one we go back to multiple times! Absolutely delicious food, lovely staff, gorgeous surroundings, super relaxed atmosphere. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs as we tried the pizza and dirty fries - both stunning. After trying the fries in particular my partner said he may leave me for the chef - and I was perfectly ok with it! Have recommended to many friends looking for a top quality and affordable place in Worcester - all reactions have been the same; omg it’s soooo good! Definitely a place to go.

Really nice family-owned Italian restaurant in the heart of Worcester. Quite unassuming from the outside and although it looks tiny from the outside, there are more tables in the basement. The food was delicious with the kitchen being right next to the few tables upstairs. Pasta was freshly made too. Unfortunately there was no formal children's menu but they did offer a smaller pasta portion for half the price of a full portion which still worked out quite expensive for a children's dish. Lovely establishment and I would definitely visit again the next time we're back in Worcester. A gem.

Lovely restaurant of which food was incredibly rich and filling. Found the dirty fried side was filling between the two of us and was really flavoursome along with the pulled pork pasta. Was fairly noisy at times only due to a larger party nearby. Recommend booking in advance.

Very, very good food. Polite & attentive staff.

Food was very nice, however the experience was tainted by having to pay a £50 'deposit' upfront which they then refused to refund after a couple of our party were unable to come, resulting in a bill of only £39. We were offered a £10 voucher which was useless for us as we don't live locally. We weren't told over the phone that the deposit was non refundable and they acted like they were doing us a favour giving us a giftcard. Service was also very slow.

Partner wanted Pizza on day trip out in Worcester and when the boy wants pizza you just go with it. We had planned to walk up to Pizza Express but just passing here it caught my eye. They had a deal on too, all Pizza's were £10 each before 7pm that day. We were seated downstairs, clean, cosy and by the end another bonus, NO Phone Signal. No internet or messing around on our phones, so we actually had a really nice chat over a late lunch. I really liked that. Anyway the food was amazing. The service was a little slow, but again it gave us a chance to chat and pass the time. Places like Pizza Express are just going to churn you out as soon as possible and I think Impasto was a like a hard reset on that "fast paced, always connected" attitude. Also service was very attentive. Partner had ordered chicken pizza and I'd gone with a veggie option. He asked for Truffle Loaded Fries as a separate side with a different waiter and wanted to make sure they were veggie (he isn't a vegetarian but was worried they had ham / pork in them which he doesn't eat). The waiter confirmed they were. 5 minutes later the original waitress came rushing down and wanted to know why he had been asking about them being veggie and was he aware he'd ordered a chicken pizza. Obviously all was in hand and correct, but I thought it was excellent attention to detail and trying to ward off any potential problems when the meal came. So yes very impressed and would recommend!

Just loved this place!! Atmosphere..casual/bistro, fabulous and friendly staff and food was rustic and authentic. Can’t wait to return to try the rest of the food! We shared impasto salad, pesto chicken pasta and side of truffle fries..washed down with a crisp White Pecorino!! Brilliant place x

Came for £10 pizza and 2 for £12 cocktails and everything was fantastic! Server was lovely, cocktails were delicious and different. Service was a little slow, but allowed for a chilled experience. The only issue we had was when the bill came, and some deals had not been applied, but this was sorted no problem! Will definitely be back!
