First time I've visited. Food and service was excellent. Really enjoyed my evening. Only downside for me was it was very noisy due to the lack of soft furnishings which would help to soften the noise. Did struggle to have a conversation.

Good food and quick friendly service.However, the lack of social distancing made us feel very uncomfortable. Having visited before, the layout appeared to be the same as pre-Covid. The tables are very close and, once seated, there was barely a foot between us and the diners behind us. Added to which, one server delivered to the table wearing no mask and his face visor on top of his head.

First time eating here. Food was good. Staff were friendly. It was very busy though and not well spaced out considering Covid guidance. It was also very noisy which may be because we were sat near the front of the restaurant which is narrower than the back. All in all it was ok but for the money only average.

We were passing through Stone with very hungry 8 and 10 year olds on a Saturday evening. We arrived here without reservation and were shown to a table that would be needed within 50 minutes which we gratefully accepted. The staff were lovely and efficient and indeed our choices were brought to us swiftly - one of them a risotto!- they were delicious, beautifully cooked and so fresh! Would love to go back if we are passing through as Italian food is a real passion in our family. Well done!

I was at the restaurant on Friday evening, the 11th, with my wife. We had a very lovely dinner, from the food to the service. The food was very good. I had a steak and i can say it was the best that I've had in a restaurant. The waiting time between courses was spot on . Our waitress was superb. Lovely, thoughtful and very profissional. I believe her name was Katarina. I cannot recommend enough this restaurant.

Visited Saturday night 4 of us & as usual couldn’t fault a thing apart from lipstick on a fresh wine glass that was duly changed. Olives, bread & oils to share to start with followed by 3 different steaks & one salmon & as usual everything was cooked just how you’d expect, beautifully. I always come away from pasta di piazza planning my next visit because it’s so good. You ain’t had a good steak till you have had one here.

We love going here and always have to go back. Everytime we go they always meet our expectations. The staff went above and beyond with their service and the food was phenomenal!

Me & my partner love the food here, this was our 4th visit here & we have been to the Newcastle one once but we won't return now we will go to the Newcastle one instead.Purely because the last time we came the waitress was rude & rushed, she also never returned our change from our payment which was £8ish we don't mind tipping but with the option to do so not just keep it on payment.This most recent visit we were sat on a table for 6 right (when only 2 of us were eating) in front of where the chef's were preparing food, it was so loud we could hardly hear each other talking and the atmosphere was awful. We asked to be moved to an end table for 2 we could see was free but were told it was soon to be occupied, however 2 hours later when we left the table was still free. We were also both brought 2 wet plates to eat our sharing starter on. The food, dont get me wrong is lovely but to enjoy your meal out everything else has to come with it.Not impressed and won't be returning again only to the newcastle one.

We went out for a meal as a couple on Saturday evening. We were sat on a table in front of the chefs cooking. We could hear the chefs being very rude to the waitresses, telling them to not “take the p***”. Thought that was rude to say and for us to hear. Then later, a taller waiter was being very rude to a black haired waitress in front of us. It made the atmosphere very awkward and uncomfortable. He took her outside to talk and when she came back she was upset. It wasn’t nice to see when we were out on a date night. It was impossible not to see. I wanted to give the waitress a hug! Food was ok but I didn’t think it was amazing, the dessert wasn’t fresh. For my first visit, not sure we would try again. Look after your staff please.

Excellent service from Katrina she really does go out of her way to make you feel welcome and makes a lovely fuss of the children. Perfectly timed service and attentive with great quality food 👌

8 of us went here for my birthday and everything about the visit was superb .Very friendly and efficient staff and all social distancing in place .Food was amazing ,starters and mains . Will definitely be returning .Highly recommend this restaurant.

Thought we would try this restaurant as recommended by our accommodation owner. Pleasantly surprised , nicely decorated and very pleasant staff. We tried calamari to start which was tender and well cooked. I had tagliatelle al salmone which was delicious with fresh parmesan , my son had what he described as the best calzone hes ever had. It was enormous. Can recommend food . we were lucky as the eat out to help out was applied which was a nice bonus. My only reservation was that the staff were arguing in background , with waitress being reprimanded. This made us feel quite uncomfortable. I would advise this is done privately in future. Otherwise we had a great night .

Took three adults and three small children out on a Monday evening and was really impressed. Smart, up-market decor, clean and fabulous choice of pizza, pasta, fish etc. Easy to find something off the children's menu too and all enjoyed it. Very pleasant team as well and really made the children feel welcome.

Excellent! Fantastic! Wonderful!Came with my husband and one year old son for our wedding anniversary. Tables were socially distanced and the cleaning regimes are very strict and clear which put us at ease! The staff and service was out of this world- they were so friendly and made such a lovely fuss of our son, they made the whole experience wonderful. The children’s menu is exceptional value- £5.95 for two courses and a drink! The food was all outstanding; like really, really outstanding! We had salmon gravlax, garlic mushrooms, calzone and tagliatelle filleto (fillet steak and tagliatelle!) and then chocolate dome and banana split and it was all exceptional! I particularly recommend the salmon gravlax and the calzone! My son has tomato pasta and ate more than I think I’ve ever seen him eat! We had the most fabulous experience and left discussing when we can come again! I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more! Thank you so much to all the staff who were so wonderful with us!

I was recommended this restaurant by some friends that visit regularly and decided to give it a go at first I was going in with a group of friends but after calling the restaurant to book my table I was informed the limit was of 6 people due to the government regulations, instead i ended up booking for two me and my wife. However upon arrival I've noticed a table next to the kitchen was later sat with 7 or 8 people with some of them being toddlers, although i understand you were trying to make up for the time you were closed I do not think this was the right thing to do. The people were getting up from the table all the time going to the outside bit and back. Food was amazing and the service aswell as recommended by our friends however this should be addressed. I dont usually leave reviews on tripadvisor but i felt that i should in this case as goverment regulations should be followed for everyone.

Catching up with friends we went to this fabulous resturant in Stone. Excellent evening ,great service,delicious food,and lovely wine. Highly recommended.

Visited for Saturday lunch as a party of five. The food, surroundings and staff were all excellent. We will definitely be returning. Well worth a visit.

We came here as part of a large group. The waiter that looked after us was excellent, nothing was to much trouble. The menu was good and the lunch deal was very good value for money. For me the food was ok but nothing special, the tiramisu was lovely however. My main issue was the amount of space we had. We were very cramped and could hardly move, this was very uncomfortable for me personally therefore my 3 star rating.I would give this place a try again but would prefer to come and sit at the bottom where there is more room.

Pasta di Piazza has always been one of my favorite italian restaurants!Came on a Sunday for lunch with a friend and we decided to have the £12.99 set menu, well what could i say for £12.99 what a bargain!!! We both had roasted pepper to start, pasta main and dessert, totally worth the money. Oh and profiterole are to die for!!!!! Whats the secret!!!

This restaurant is by far the best Italian restaurant in the area. The fillet steaks at this place are absolutely stunning, and the lasagne is the best I’ve tasted, and that is not an exaggeration. If you want a great restaurant with really friendly staff and excellent service, then look no further than Pasta di Piazza.

Was a member of a large group celebrating a 40th birthday The consensus was that the food was by and large very good. The service was a little slow and inefficient however. Upon receipt of the bill it was discovered the we were being overcharged to a sum in excess of £100 which when pointed out was put right with the explanation of there being a fault on the till. This excuse didn’t sound that good on delivery but sounded even more dry on two members of our party recounting accounts of similar faults in the bill being reported by friends and family. Having just written a glowing review for a Sunday lunch in Stone i noticed reviews for Pasta Di Piazza whereby others have had similar billing problems at that establishment

Woah. Staff here are so so. Prices not bad. The tomato bread starter was okay but way too large for one person so ideally share it. My usual favourite chicken tagliatelle, chicken was a tiny bit rubbery.

Visited here a few times over the last year for both lunch and dinner and the standard of food and service just isn't what it was. We could hear arguments between the waiting staff, which didn't exactly create a great atmosphere. The menu has never changed, food is over priced for what it is and each dish I have had recently tastes just very mediocre. When I first starting visiting this restaurant, it was one of my favourites. The food was extremely tasty and authentic and the staff were extremley attentive. I'm not sure what has happened but it seems to have lost it's way. Every tomato based dish tastes the same and same for every creamy dish. I'm hoping it improves and I think a change of menu would be good, it no longer matches the standard of other Italian restaurants.

There are lots of great restaurants in Stone and we’re a bit spoilt for choice. However, we keep coming back to Pasta di Piazza. We booked a table for four adults at 8pm last Saturday and it was packed. The atmosphere was great and despite how busy they were, the service was excellent and we didn’t have to wait for anything. We had a couple of shared starters, the garlic bread with cheese is huge, and all had mains, mostly pasta, although I often have a steak, which whilst £20 plus are superb. All were really tasty and generous portions. No room for desserts, though. We weren’t rushed out when finished and stuck around for more drinks before heading off to Granville’s to finish a great night with a dance or two. For the four of us, shared starters and mains and two bottles of wine with a decent tip ran to c£30 a head. Can’t complain at that. Highly recommended and we’ll keep going back!

Absolutely love it here, always great service and excellent food! Usually have the steak or tagliatelle which are fantastic. The red wine is always perfect and a great setting.

As a family we have been many many times but haven’t visited for several months. As always the food and service was excellent. We also took our 11 month granddaughter and the staff made quite a fuss of her.

We visited today for a two-course lunch and the food was delicious. There's a good choice on the set lunch menu and we both had a bowl of tasty soup (but different soups) and both chose a spaghetti dish, again both were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The staff are warm and welcoming. We will definitely return when we're next in the area.

We use to frequent this restaurant when the boys were young. They came home from uni. on hols. They thought it'll be nice to revisit. Recognised a lot of the same items on the menu. I was late therefore missed the starters. We ordered lasagne, risotto, & 2 other pasta dishes. It was all very tasty. Deserts nicely finished the meal. Service was fine. Bit like revisiting an old friend.

This is a good consistent Italian restaurant offering all the favourite pastas and Pizza’s . The service is good and the food is fresh !

We had a business dinner at this restaurant during my trip to Stone. The food I ordered was very good, however not all my colleagues shared this opinion.

This is the first time, I visited the restaurant and I was very surprised with the overall experience the restaurant provided. I visited the restaurant with my friends when it was busy and the food and service was on point.

Had chicken tagliatelle dish, it was tasteless, tried the black pepper to liven it up, made no difference. The chicken was over cooked and dry in the sauce, tasteless and poor quality. I expected more. Service was good however. With friends so didn’t want to make a fuss at the table.

If you want a great Italian meal in this part of the world then look no further. Was our first time yet made to feel like we'd been going for years. The team clearly work very hard to make great dining experiences.

We attended here as a group of 9, who had booked for a midweek lunch my dads birthday. We were sat in a cramped corner of the restaurant despite the restaurant being very quiet. The waitress was patronising to my father, and unapologetic when she got many things wrong... When taking our order she forgot lots of things in terms of drinks several times, ignored members of our table, 2 of our starters were wrong, initially so we send them back and then what returned was the wrong starter again but we ignored it. The ‘focaccia’ on the menu was not focaccia with extra virgin olive oil it was a pizza bread with cheese on. Completely wrong. The mains arrived without issue. I used to love this place and never received a bad meal there so was disappointed with what we received on this occasion.

We booked a table for the seven of us easily over the telephone and had a wonderful evening at the restaurant! The head waiter- or who appeared to be was very welcoming and amusing and our food was delicious!

We stopped here as we were passing and hungry. Really liked the look of the place, nice interior. All the food we had was nice I really enjoyed the tagliatelle steak dish I had. The service was slow even though it wasn't that busy. We were eating with our 6 year old daughter and were not offered a kids menu we didn't really think much of it as our daughter isn't a fussy eater so she had a starter as a main and we just got on with it. It wasn't until we finished our meal and overheard another table ordering off the kids menu that we felt a bit let down by our waiter and what our daughter might of had if she'd of had the choice. So if you're with kids make sure you ask for the menu.

Brilliant food really nice we both enjoyed our meals. Service was fast too even though it was busy. Will certainly come again. Only things that stops me giving 5 stars is really noisy and we were in a fraught from the door

Went for a hen party meal, food was nice, little bit disappointed with desserts. Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. We sat upstairs so a little bit more private.

We used to love this restaurant but tonight was a disaster. Slow service. They bought a wrong drink ordered. They put fingers in our pasta bowls and they shoddily put food down on the table.They bought an incorrect coffee order and incorrect ice cream order. We had to ask for a dessert that didn't come. We paid the bill and left a tip at the table. As we were leaving they ran after us to say they had under charged us by £5. It was my Mums birthday and what should have been a wonderful evening turned out embarrassing and disappointing. We will not return.

Well our first visit, and I have to say what a lovely place. Opened up the bi-fold doors on a beautiful evening...perfect

Tired and weary on our way back home from Alton Towers, we stopped here and entered from the back asking for a spare table. 3 staff could not find us a table and even the guy who appeared to be the owner/manager could not find us a place to fit us in. We were all gutted. It was a busy Saturday night but they didn’t want to upset the people who had booked. The staff and the manager were so incredibly apologetic I thanked them for at least clearly trying hard to slot us in. So we turned and headed back out again. Suddenly the head waiter (or someone who appeared to be the head waiter) came rushing up to us to chat to a manager to say that he felt he could create a space in their upstairs part of the restaurant (as illustrated) - we happily took up the offer of the table and then we had literally the best meal EVER! WOW! No wonder this place is fully booked and it is huge! I had a fillet steak medium with an Italian blue cheese sauce, sautéed potatoes, chargrilled roasted veg and a side salad of rocket and Parmesan. 10/10. 5stars for everything. My daughters both struggle to eat and they both LOVED their pasta. We also had gorgeous desserts and a cheeseboard. The wine was top notch. I would definitely book to go here again if not for the top class cooking and food but more for the amazing incredible hospitality of not just one staff member but five. Absolutely incredible. Pasta Di Piazza you should be very proud of your values and culture not to mention the gorgeous yummy food. Thank you so much for fitting us in. We will be back for sure! 10/10!

We were disappointed by the food and the service. The dishes were not authentic Italian, and did not taste like home cooked food - more like something you take out of the freezer and put in the microwave. The service was poor too - we found the waiter rude, and he actually ignored us for a lot of the time. Fortunately there were a couple of other waiters around who were a lot more attentive!

Pasta Di Piazza is the place that we always go to for a special occassion or celebration.They never disappoint.

What a lovely restaurant and the conservatory has a real continental feeling. Lots to choose on the menu and the staff really helpful. The food excellent, staff attentive and it is a really great place for lunch

My wife and I visited on a Saturday evening and have to say that the food, service and atmosphere at the restaurant were excellent. We both chose fillet steaks from the extensive menu and they were cooked to perfection, being both tender and flavoursome. Credit and thanks to the chef/s and staff for making our visit an extremely pleasant experience, we will definitely return in the near future.

I love pasta Di piazza. It’s so near and the food is always lovely. It’s great for special occasions like birthdays and anniversary dinners as it has a real authentic Italian feel. Its also great for family’s as it offers child- friendly food! However, sometimes it is quite hard to understand some of the waitresses but you get there in the end. We don’t go too often as it is quite pricey but the food is deffinetly worth. Would really recommend for Italian food lovers will be coming again!! :)

What a fantastic night! The staff in the restaurant were welcoming and helpful throughout the night. The food was absolutely wonderful with care given to presentation and the tastes of all the courses were delicious. The Tuna was particularly tasty. Definitely looking forward to returning.

Went for a multigenerational family meal in Stone. Service good, food tasty and authentic. Steak was melt-in-the-mouth quality. Was easy to attract staff attention for drinks etc. Sweets very good too. Tiramisu recommended. A pleasant evening all ‘round. One of our family go-to restaurants.

I leaved in London for many years and I was so pleased to sera real old fashion ALC menu , believe me I felt in Love as I did miss this type of menu .

This restaurant produces the most wonderful pizzas, absolutely delicious. Great staff, lovely atmosphere too.

3 friends decided to go out for a nice meal and some drinks as we haven’t seen each other for so long. We had booked in advance and upon arrival it was VERY busy as expected on a Saturday night.

We had a lovely time couple of weeks ago at this restaurant, we always visit this little gem When we are in the area to visit family. The salmon and steak are on of the best we have had !! Will visit soon

I visited this restaurant 2 year ago, the meal was ok, but wouldn't have rated it as anything special.

We have been going to this restaurants for many years. Tonight noticed a complete decline. We were served old bread, when complained the waitress went away and came back with the same bread 'toasted'. The headwaiter then said that the bread had been kept in the fridge but it had been bought from morrisons!! the tempura fried prawns starter was from frozen produce and the prawns had not been deveined. the prawn main course was so full of cream it was heavy and the prawn had not been cleaned before been cooked in the thick creamy sauce. It was awful to say the least. A far cry from when the restaurant belonged to Carlo, who sold it a few years ago. Prawns like other shell fish has to be served thoroughly cleaned. About 20 of us went for a meal there. Excellent selection, excellent food and excellent service. Would highly recommend this place.

A lovely family gathering in this rather dull take on Italian dinning.

We have been using Pasta Di Piazza for over three years, probably every six weeks. The service is always friendly and attentive however we have noticed a decline in the quality of the food. On Friday I had a lasagne as a starter that had some pasta in a watery tomato sauce with no evidence of any meat. This was followed by chicken in a cream and wine sauce tagliatelle; again watery with little evidence of cream, wine or chicken. I do hope that the food quality improves because we do enjoy the restaurant however we will not be returning until we hear that the quality has improved.

We were a party of seven on a Saturday night and it was already busy when we arrived at 7pm. The menu had a lot of choice and we all had starters. The home made tomato soup was lovely and piping hot. The main course of chicken alla crema was also delicious. Service was a bit slow, but friendly and overall it was a very good meal.

Service fantastic, food was gorgeous would recommend the calamari. A very smart restaurant and a lovely atmosphere

What a great find. We had a lovely meal, I had a prawn pasta dish which was very nice good portion too, my son opted for a pizza... Calzone.. it was huge! he thoroughly enjoyed it. We all had good meals.

We visited on xmas eve and the food & service was great. Daughter didn't want anything off the kids menu so they made her spaghetti bolognese at her request. Visited numerous amount of times and never had a bad meal

Well after last months visit I was interested to see how this one would go....... and it was great. Food was lovely and we had bottle after bottle of house red. Gorgeous wine for a standard house choice. Will return again soon. Lovely x

We have been here many times and Friday night was as good as the last time which was perfect!!

We went to this restaurant with our two teenage children. The restaurant was really busy and there was a large party in the front part who were so loud with young children that screamed and the cried and the parents just ignored them and continued to chat over the table. Reminded me of a dining hall in a school which is a shame for the restaurant - but someone should have told them to have some consideration for other diners. I never let me children scream and create I would remove them if they started! We couldn't hold a conversation without speaking really loud to eat other to be heard over the crying. Food was nice but whilst my sons steak was slightly overcooked, the sauce was yummy - but it was actually the wrong meal. He wanted to eat it and not complain as it meant he would be eating after we had finished and that defeats the object somewhat.

A friend and I decided to stop in this Saturday without booking, and despite being busy we were greeted with efficient service. We ordered a king prawn risotto and a salmon penne dish which was the best salmon dish either of us had ever tasted. The wines also good! I’m usually a proper job cynic on trip advisor but no faults for this one

I booked a table for two for the Saturday evening as a 'Valentines' treat for myself and my girlfriend.The restaurant was recommended by a few friends that had visited so felt it was going to be a nice evening and soon realised that although the service was OK the actual restaurant was very noisy and several clients obviously had too much to drink and were noisy..so much so it stifled our conversation..not really the fault of the establishment but they could have asked them to quieten it down in my opinion. The food? The salmon my girlfriend ordered was very good so no complaints there but my seafood risotto was overkill on the tomato and the green lipped mussels were frozen (before cooking) and a mile away from a fresh mussel taste...the remainder of the 'seafood' was below average so a disappointment for me. Not sure if I would want to visit again maybe earlier in the evening and not a busy Saturday Night and certainly not the risotto again.

Ate here with my wife and my daughter on a Friday night at around 7.00. It was very busy, which was a good sign, but I'd recommend booking, even though they have lots of tables. We booked online which was very easy. The menu is extensive. We ordered calamari, prosciutto caprese and gravalax to start. For main we had tortellini, misto pesce Al pomodro, and pesce marinato ai fungi. We had tiramasu and torta amaretto to finish. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were really good. We had a great evening. Would definitely go back if we lived in Stone. Highly recommended.

In the past few months we have eaten here quit a few times and it's always been great. The food, service and atmosphere is really good. Look forward to our next meal there.

Used to be a regular haunt but it's a couple of years since we went, the food is good, the staff efficient but with no soul just want to get you in and out, no ambiance to the restaurant ok if you want a quick meal but not the place for a leisurely evening out

Situated in Stone Staffs access is either via the High Street or from the rear of the premises. The restraunt is on three levels , the lower level being a glazed area with bi fold doors and a area covered outside also a small patio area. The staff we found were very friendly and the food was of good quality.

My boyfriend and I chose here for date night. Such a buzzing atmosphere, great attentive service and even better olives! The cannelloni starter was absolutely gorgeous. For mains I had the seafood risotto which was the perfect portion. My boyfriend had the meatball pasta, which was just as good.

The staff are really friendly and prices fair. The decoration is good and service quick. My tomato and cheese starter was okay. My chicken tagliatelle was great and the rest of my family liked their meal too. We will return as usual!

Group of eight of us for a birthday meal. No problems initially, drinks and food orders taken promptly and arrived in good time. We were then left with the 'main' dishes on our table for over an hour with nobody asking for deserts either. Normally we would pipe up and say something but we were busy chatting away and didn't realise the time until one of the group realized our taxi was due in 20mins! Needless to say we didn't have any puds and they also lost out on a few drink orders too. One of the group had the set menu and never had the pudding option given to him? We got the bill reduced accordingly and the food we had was good. I'd still recommend the place but just remember to pester the staff for attention!

About time for a review. I have eaten here at least 6 times in 2018 and the experience has always been great. It is best if you get a table in the conservatory part of the restaurant as it can get noisy at times. Food quality is always good. Tiramisu as dessert is always a must

Inattentive staff! Slow service, rude manager, unless you were known by him! Menu to many options but all very much the same. Had the tuna steak, didn't get option of I liked it (pink) was very over cooked so I assume it's a frozen steak! The sauce on the tuna was terrible to many ingredients just tasted of burnt tomatoes. Don't bother!!!!!

Have been twice recently for dinner. Both times have had good service and excellent food. Can be noisy but quite like this in an Italian restaurant. Will certainly go again.

Returned to Pasta Di Piazza mid week after the light switch on. We were expecting it to be packed, however thankfully they had a table.

What a lovely venue for a family informal lunch , the menu choices were great, different price ranges, as well as ala carte.

Decided to try the Pasta Di Piazza as we had not visited for a while, we had not booked so I gave them a call at 5.00 pm the night of intended meal, tried 6 times between 5.00 and 5.40 no answer, we were about to go somewhere else but phone call Severn was answered and table booked ( they stated that they answer the phone at 5.00) food was good as always, service great, but when presented with card machine by young lady the manager interjected and informed me card machine was not working, apparently all day, and cash was required, I responded that maybe we should have been told this before we sat down, he responded that they had put a notice on the door,my partner had cash so we did not end up washing dishes,

Beautiful decor, excellent pasta dish, large menu, excellent service. They allow you to have your own cake.

Visited for a family celebration last night. It was very busy but service was still excellent and the food was delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening
