The best restaurants serving Italian food in Liverpool North West

A little place with a great atmosphere and delicious pizza. 😍 After our first visit we know we'll visit again - both pizzas were amazing, including the vegan one. All finished with a fresh piece of tiramisu. The place is quite small, and I counted 4 booths plus the waiting table in front. However on Monday evening we didn't have to wait longer than 4 min for a table. People inside are quite understanding and leave right after they finish. The only downside was that pizzas are made one by one (I guess due to the oven size) so you won't receive your pizzas at the same time. But even considering that, this place is worth visiting! Absolutely delicious!

Top class food and service. From start to finish, I couldn’t fault Al Dente. We were greeted by a blonde lady who doubled as a host and waitress. She was so kind and attentive to us throughout the evening, and even ensured my partner had a surprise come out for him as we were celebrating. The other waiting staff were equally as courteous and professional. The charming atmosphere paired with great food further enhanced our evening. All in all, I must say that the staff are a credit to the owners. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, whether it’s for a date night, a meal with friends or a family gathering. Thank you to all and we will be back!

We had an amazing time. They catered for our celiac friend as well. Amazing view over the docks. The baklava cheesecake was so delicious.

A fantastic lunch and experience. It offers great value for money as the food is amazing but the experience made it feel like we were transported to Italy (the outdoor dining and a bit of sunshine helped). I don’t usually note the ‘experience’ when going for food as good food speaks for itself, but it really did feel like something special here.

A large party of 9, with children. Very well looked after by Grace, with lots of toing and froing. Food fabulous.

Food and service brilliant, but place is was freezing! Ate with our coats on as did others. Put some heating on guys! Food was amazing tho and staff lovely, will try again in summer.

The best Pizza in Liverpool by a mile! Staff and service is always very friendly and accommodating, no matter how busy the restaurant is. Fantastic choice of Pizzas, variety for everyone. The tiramisu is amazing also…

It's my favorite Italian in town for coffee. They got bigger! They had the cafe and the resto apart (farina) and now it's all in one: resto, cafe, gelateria and chocolateria, one beautiful big place! Cappuccino with any pastry is my go to. Watch out when it's busy, it can become noisy...

Been to the restaurant a few times before but today was total disappointment! We (just two of us) arrived and there were a few empty tables and the waiter came and told us that all the empty tables were fully booked, even though the restaurant has two floors. We have been here before when the restaurant was very busy and this never happened. We never complained before when the food took a long time to be served, since it’s good—but this experience was totally disappointing and not recommended at all. This restaurant does walk-ins as well as bookings and might be expected to be prepared for the Bank Holiday being busy. Edit : this happened on 5th of May around 12noon, there were a few empty table at that time and the waiter came and asked if we have a booking, we said no as this is our 5th visit to the restaurant and he directly said its fully booked and asked us to come 3-4 hours later while we know that the restaurant has 2 floor seating arrangements. It is so unreasonable as on the restaurant website it doesn’t say “requires booking” plus its only 2 of us. Again when we visited the restaurant before, when its full, the Italian waiter just politely asked us to wait 15-20 minutes which its fine and we kist waited. It is so disappointing and even though the food was amazing, but the service makes me not want to visit your restaurant again.

Thee Lucifer Sams are a hungry band and we take our epicurean adventures seriously. When a rehearsal gets cancelled for whatever reasons, we need to substitute that with food and drink. Though Al Dente has a pleasant vibe and friendly staff, our choice of food was very disappointing - a veggie pizza that looked no better than a Ristorante one you find in freezers all over the land - from the most drab cornershop to the biggest Tesco. We were hungry. We ate it. But a restaurant could and should offer something better!

Is the microwave made in Italy ? Went here , worst meal I have ever had !!! Microwaved , or deep fried gloop

will 10000% be coming back here the atmosphere the food the service it’s absolutely amazing will be recommending the place to everyone!!! Omid and the other staff were so helpful and made us laugh service was perfect!!!
