Small portions of excellent food, and good service. Also nice decor. I highly recommend this place for the Allerton Road area.

Went for a bottomless brunch. The staff were attentive and friendly, Paul and Casey served us and couldn't have been nicer. The food as always was delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The drinks were generous and great quality. And excellent experience all round.

The second time visiting Luca, this time for Valentine’s Day after a great experience the first time. Unfortunately, tonight wasn’t great. The food was mostly lovely except the gnocchi which was so overpoweringly salty. The service was cold and unfriendly. We were waiting 25 minutes for our dessert (tiramisu which requires no In service preparation time). Our server had clearly forgotten and when I reminded her, she said ‘it’s on its way’. One tiramisu arrived, despite ordering 2. And then had to wait another 10 minutes for the second. None of this was acknowledged or apologised for. There was an automatic service charge added to the bill, which is absolutely fine. But the server should not just assume the service charge is being paid, and type it straight onto the card machine. There was no inquiry as to whether we enjoyed our time. Then straight after paying the bill, we were asked to leave, despite the only reason we were still there being that we were waiting so long for our desserts!

Third time at this stunning place. Cannot get enough!

Came in for breakfast, no booking. Got sat straight away, fantastic service by Sam. Loved the tomatoes on the English Breakfast.

Amazing dinner, Peter and Finn were brilliant.

Food always stunning. Returned today for the first time in a while and once again very impressed. Looked after very well by Peter and Paul - couldn’t have done more to ensure we had a good evening. Wine list is selective and all the wines I’ve tried have been delicious. Portions are generous, and the staff are always happy to take more orders during your meal. 5/5 and highly recommended! Can’t wait to come back and try breakfast.

Absolutely brilliant meal this evening. Food was fresh and delicious and the service was very friendly and efficient. Only downside was the music playlist which was pretty terrible but it was quiet enough that it didn't impact our enjoyment.

We popped in before an appointment just as breakfast was switching to lunch. Staff told us there was a little wait and were so accommodating of our need to be in and out quite quickly. The food service was fast, excellent and friendly. Thank you to Tippi and Paul. We will be coming again.

Had a breakfast at Luca,s . The whole experience was faultless . Very high standards. The food the place the decor , the ambience was excellent . Soon as we walked in got greeted with a smile by Sam the waitress , she was very friendly, very good at her service skills . Sam is a credit to Lucas , as i think it’s very important to get greeted as soon as you walk into a restaurant. Love it there . Highly recommended it .

Ate here last week, nice venue loved the decor. Food was tasty but the portion sizes varied massively, depending which small plates you ordered you could be left very hungry at the end of the night. The bruschetta and prawn small plates were miserly in size, way too expensive for what was provided so choose carefully. Staff not that attentive, fooling around in plain site while we were trying to get their attention. Overall, nice try but not worth the money.

Had a lovely meal in Luca with my wife. The food was spot on, portions were great for sharing and the service from Paul was fantastic throughout. Will be back.

Great experience from start to finish. Stand out dishes were the Breaded Mozzarella sticks and Vodka sauce, root vegetables, Lamb Ragu and seafood risotto. The pricing is little on the high side with a tapas sized portion costing around £11 per plate, so the recommended 3pp can quickly get expensive. But I think worth it for a special meal out.

We had bottomless brunch here on Sunday afternoon. The restaurant itself was beautiful, the food was lovely and there was lots of choice on the menu. Paul, our server was excellent - very attentive and he kept our drinks topped up!

I have been to Luca restaurant last night with my family to celebrate my birthday but unfortunately we did not have a nice celebration as the dark hair waitress, with glasses and dark lipstick was very rude and abrupt when we wanted to order our deserts. She told us that it will probably take about 10 minutes to cook and only 5 minutes for us to eat it. Now I understand that we had to give the table back but it was not our fault that 2 dishes from our food order were more than 15 minutes late after everyone finished their food. We never experienced this in a restaurant . Will definitely not going back as that waitress made us feel very uncomfortable.

Went to Luca with a friend, the place is lovely and the menu is great but mildly limited for people with intolerance or allergy to dairy, but that's sort of a given it being an Italian restaurant primarily. The service was great except there's a bit of a need to understand humility and not talk down to someone who has a dairy intolerance! There is a difference between lactose free and dairy free ( might be worth checking facts before telling someone with an intolerance they are wrong), but all in all had a lovely time. The food and drinks are delicious 🤤

I went to Luca for lunch with a friend and our two babies. We chose from the lunch menu, with 2 plates for £15.50 which is a bargain for the quality and portion of the food. Everything we had was delicious, and the service from Paul deserves special mention. He rushed to help me with the door as I struggled with the pram and couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend Luca to anyone.

Came in after dining in the restraunt once. On a busy Friday we ordered the Calimari, the Risotto and the Welsh Rump. They told us half an hour as it was busy. We arrived on time and the food was ready for us and packaged perfectly. Well worth the price, highly recommend. However if you want shorter wait times choose a day when it isn't peak busy! Amazing food though you must go! ☆☆☆☆☆

I asked for a ftitto misto to take away, chef put it on a pizza box, poured the sauce on the side as if containers don’t exist in the this country and the portion was so small, had no fish in it which is the main ingredient, definitely not ordering from there again and not recommending it to anyone.

Me and my wife had lovely meal for our anniversary. Paul and the Luca's team were very kind to celebrate our anniversary they gave a lovely card and a treat. We loved so much that we ended up having 6 plates and 1 pudding. Everything was excellent and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Please if you have a special occasion coming up make your way to Luca because is not only the food but the whole experience. Thank you Paul for your care and Peter for the selection of prosseco.

Visited this morning as we were looking for somewhere to have Brunch. We had two English Breakfasts and a 3 egg omelette with spinach and the three of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal. In fact best breakfast/brunch we’ve had for a long time and pretty good value too. Coffee was very good and service was attentive. Shout out especially to Paul who did a cracking job looking after us! We will be back!

Second time visiting Luca for Lunch. The food was excellent, fantastic staff who were friendly and attentive. Great place!!! Fran was our server who made us her signature cocktail.....delicious. 100% recommend anything on the menu especially the deep fried cheesecake!!!

We visited on Saturday night and were served by a lovely waitress named Anna, she was so friendly and her recommendations were perfect! Can't wait for our next visit!

How could something so simple taste so good? I had only ordered a mere avocado on toast. To my surprise I was presented with a tantalising delight that far exceeded my expectations. So much so, I had forgotten to take a photo. My taste buds were truly treated to a slice of heaven.

Luca is normally great which is why I’m giving 4 stars, I have been many times and recommend the restaurant often. Sadly last night was a bit of a disappointment, we had a mid week table booked for 6pm, at 7.30pm we were told ‘we are sorry but we need the table back in 15 minutes’ … we had just finished our mains and for this reason I didn’t bother with dessert or another drink. 1.5hrs is really not long enough to have a nice dinning experience. It’s not a cheap restaurant where you just nip in for a quick meal, it’s somewhere you want to enjoy a bottle of wine and relax. As the plates are tapas style its not the type of meal you really want to rush. For that reason I would possibly now choose to dine somewhere else where you do not feel so on the clock. I don’t know any other restaurant that has less than a 2-3 hour slot allocated. Especially with this type of menu and $. I appreciate that the booking explained this but I really do believe you will lose customers because of this.

The lunchtime offer is great value. The food is tasty and the service is good.

We went at lunch time and it was quite busy, Hannah & Sam went out their way to make a space for us and couldn’t have been nicer. The food was absolutely lovely and worth every penny! Came here for dinner on my birthday and the food was exceptional. Hands down best dinner I've had in Liverpool and I eat out more than I should. Vegetarian options are all delicious and the service is excellent. Went back for brunch over the weekend and had the wild mushrooms with poached eggs. Its now my favourite place for brunch too.

We had the Full English and pancakes. Both were absolutely superb. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Sunday 17th March 17:30 Firstly the service is amazing and the staff friendly , however the food we found a little bland, the calamari was definitely frozen and over cooked to become so rubbery, it had also a lingering taste of old cooking oil . The pepperoni pizza priced at £10 is definitely overpriced having hardly any slices of pepperoni topping. Partner had the mussels which she said tasted fine apart from the thick tomato sauce , the meat balls fell apart and lacked texture the accompanying bread with the mussels was so hard it nearly broke her teeth . We only had two courses each and one drink with some free tap water including tip £75:35

Lovely little place. The food was very enjoyable and on point. The service by Dominic was exceptional- he really went the extra mile to make us feel warm and welcome.
