Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza - Castle Street in Liverpool

Went to see Disney on ice with my daughter's abd twi granddaughters went for tea excellent service staff were really pleasant and helpful pizzas were delicious ,

Weekend away visiting son and his girlfriend in Liverpool and visited Rudy's on their recommendation and previous visits. Fantastic food all round, fantastic service and atmosphere and a cracking bottle of red. Tiramisu is to die for.

Not as good as expected. Rudy's carries a good reputation, so I was looking forward to trying out their pizza while on a business trip to Liverpool. Unfortunately, the pizza was disappointing, and I left half of it. The edges were slightly blackened and tasteless, but it was the base that was really poor - it was soggy and lacked any crispness, making it hard to cut, and eventually, I gave up. The flavours were good, and the pepperoni was spot on, but the overall pizza wasn't good enough. I had a salad as well and that was OK. I'll not be rushing back.

Arrived here and had very good service and they allow service dogs. He was given his own water and the pizza tasted yummy

I’m not a huge pizza fan, it’s certainly not my first choice when it comes to eating out however Rudy's could have changed this as I would definitely return here. The pizza was delicious, I had the fennel sausage and onion, the flavours were amazing and the dough was out of this world, so tasty! I loved the feel of the place and the staff were lovely. Excellent value for money too. Highly recommend.

We really love Rudy’s and it’s a family favourite (we’ve never had a bad pizza or bad experience here) but hands down this was the BEST time we’ve ever had at Rudy’s! We had the absolute joy of being looked after by Thanos and istg I have never met someone with such a gorgeous energy! Thanos was so kind and generous and so much fun to chat with and he lifted up the atmosphere! The pizza is great but this guy and the team are even better! GIVE EM ALL A RAISE!!!💃🫶

We decided to order two non alcoholic cocktails in the Pesca Mandarina and the Morello Cherry Sour. We opted to share a starter and ordered the Campana, which is a really good value starter dish. For our mains we had the Triple Pepperoni Pizza that comes glazed with chilli Honey and the Salsiccia Pizza. We were sat just inside and we could see the pizzas being freshly made right in-front of us. Our server was really nice, managed to find out he was from Ibiza! Overall this came to under £50 which is why it’s so good value for money with the quantity of food and the superb service from the staff. Would highly recommend Rudy’s if you’re after some authentic Italian pizza!

Pizza is great here. Specially love the triple pompdoro and the salads. just a negative point as there are no kids menu or any kids activities to entertain the family

Probably the lightest, softest and tastiest homemade pizza dough I’ve tasted! Highly recommend! Definitely need to book a table at the weekend as it’s very busy … we made this mistake, but the takeaway pizza was fresh, still hot and delicious by the time we ate it. They are also dog-friendly!!!

Got a seat at the back bar. Fun to watch the bartenders and take in the vibes from all guests. Pizza is delish! Margarita and sausage 👌

I recently dined at Rudy's Pizza and was deeply concerned about the observed hygiene practices. The chef appeared to handle both meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes without washing hands or changing gloves between preparations. When I brought this to the attention of the waitress, she dismissed my concerns, stating that there are no allergens. This response was dismissive and demonstrated a lack of understanding of the importance of proper hygiene for all customers, especially those with dietary restrictions. Cross-contamination can lead to the unintentional consumption of meat or animal products, which can be harmful for individuals with allergies, religious dietary restrictions, or ethical concerns. I urge the restaurant management to address this issue seriously and implement proper hygiene protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of all their customers. Till the time it is done, recommend vegans and vegetarians to AVOID this restaurant.

Pizza is an easy option that everyone likes so went here . Never been before but was impressed . It was a nice experience with the tiramisu espresso martini being a highlight . The Taratina pizza was great too. I wouldn’t go back for a while but that’s just personal choice. Lots of things included on the menu needed to be translated. One pizza cutter for a table 6 was shocking along with lacking cutlery. Make sure to check that everything you order is brought to the table as they forgot out dip

Wowww the pizza is so good and it’s all so reasonably priced. I had the pumpkin pizza from the specials menu and it was unique but in a good way. I recommend getting the garlic aioli dip to pair it with. We had such a lovely experience at Rudy’s last night for my friend’s birthday. Will be back!

A party of 12 came on a Friday afternoon. This place was outstanding from the best pizzas we’ve ever had to the service. We were looked after by Emma who was amazing. She kept drinks flowing and food coming. That girl was outstanding! 10/10 this place!!

In a small group, we were forced to pay an optional service charge, even everyone had already paid a 10% tip.

We were a big group and paid separately. Unfortunately the waiter forced us to pay an optional (!) service charge even though all of us had given 10% tip. We pointed out that the service charge was optional but he insisted on the payment. One of the friend gave him additional money to avoid trouble. I think this is a Mafia method and I don’t think the restaurant will see me again.

Tried Rudy's by chance, best decision I've made for a long time. For traditional pizza, this is the place; flavours are amazing, the pizza base is super fresh & tasty, staff are very pleasant, helpful and efficient. The ergonomics are good, prices are fantastic and service was swift. Will be visiting here alot ♥

Went here last night for my birthday. Really nice pizza. Just booked again for before I go and see Ricky Gervais next month I was that impressed. All 5 of us got triple pepperoni. We all loved it. My mate Callum loved it so much he ate it like a little Goblin in about 2 minutes. Get extra chilli honey as a tip.

An absolute must omg pizza is unbelievable, flavour well worth a visit or 2 .my new pizza place in Liverpool, freshly made ,very friendly staff and clean and you have to buy the dips but we'll worth it. It you don't finish they'll box it up for you

The best pizza I have had for years. Absolutely perfect in every way. On a par with a fine pizza I had in Capri many years ago. Genuine character and flavours.

I had the pleasure of visiting Rudy’s Pizza in Liverpool yesterday, and it was truly an outstanding experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, with a modern yet cozy vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The pizza itself was exceptional. I went for the classic Margherita, and it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The tomato sauce was fresh and flavorful, and the mozzarella cheese was rich and melted to perfection. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. Service was fast and efficient, and the staff were professional, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food, and the whole experience left me wanting to come back for more.

Very popular so book ahead on weekends. Casual sit in place so no need to dress up although some groups had. Tiramasu popular too. Very attentive staff.

Me and my wife had an absolute fantastic pizza and a vegetarian sharing platter on Sunday night I've got to say it was awesome. Staff were really friendly and service was quick even though it was extremely busy. Good value for money too. Definitely be back.

Adisappointing experience I had recently at Rudy’s on Castle Street with one of your managers. The situation occurred when we arrived at the restaurant at 9:26 PM, based on your Google listing, which states your hours are until 9:45 PM. Upon entering, we waited by the front door, but a female staff member glanced at us several times and chose to ignore us. Shortly after, one of your managers approached and informed us that the restaurant was closed. When I mentioned that the online hours indicated you were open until 9:45 PM, the manager replied that the closing time was actually 9:15 PM. When I reiterated that the website said 9:45 PM, he responded rudely, saying, “I’m the manager, I decide.” I then suggested that perhaps the online hours should be updated to avoid confusion. The manager’s tone and attitude were unprofessional, and the female staff member’s decision to ignore us added to the frustration. The poor customer service, especially from the manager, was quite upsetting. The next day, I emailed the restaurant to ask about your last serving time and received inconsistent replies. I also noticed online that the last booking is listed as 9:30 PM. Since we were at the restaurant before 9:30 PM, it felt like the staff had intentionally chosen to ignore us As a regular customer of Rudy’s, I’m deeply disappointed by this experience. It’s misleading to display incorrect hours, and for someone who is neurodiverse, this inconsistency is especially confusing. I hope you can take this feedback seriously and make improvements to avoid similar issues in the future.

Great pizza and great atmosphere. We arrived without booking and it was no problem, we got seated at some bar stools watching the team make the pizza's infront of us. The pizza's were fresh and delicious and the staff were very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend trying!

Delicious pizza and fast service

Would give it more stars, have dined in here as a customer and it's great but as a courier it's disgusting how much the staff just blank you and even blank you on purpose. Lack of empathy knowing we're only paid by each delivery and it's hard as it is. We then get it off the customers too then.

Lovely pizza for my lunch. Really bustly making for a great atmosphere. I had my pizza to myself but some other couples were sharing one between them...as these pizzas are a big plateful of food.

Quirky, rustic and excellent pizzas, thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Calabrese pizza, mixed olives, the only issue was no rum Baba dessert left. The Italian draught beer was also very tasty. Highly recommended!

The staff were extremely friendly and happy to welcome us today. They apologised preemptively that there was likely to be a wait for our order, but it actually came extremely quickly. We look forward to the new specials every month, and the 'almost lasagne' was absolutely phenomenal! Would definitely recommend going to this restaurant over the Albert Dock restaurant, Castle Street had much friendlier staff and significantly better atmosphere.

OMG! It's exactly like being in Italy. The food is so comforting. The pizzas were Margherita and were perfect! The staff was quick and helpful. The pizzas arrived at the table very quickly and were juicy and had quality ingredients.

After4 long years of searching for an authentic Italian pizza and being served what can only be described as mediocre at best, I've finally found Pizza Nirvana, everything was perfect, the food the ambience and the staff all superb, fantastico

Really good pizzas with a loose and hip atmosphere.

Pizzas were phenomenally good. Very authentic and cooked in a large wood-fired oven, the base was perfectly done. The number of vegan/plant-based options was very impressive and there were also a range of mocktails. Had to wait a while to receive the bill at the end, but otherwise the service was good.

I am going to that place almost every Friday , but this day wasn't the best pizza, no fresh rocket on the pizza, and the cheese was the best. Sadly, I had to cancel my pizza.

Not as good as last visit 3,4 months ago

We've been here twice recently, once in the evening when we sat outside, and the other when we ate inside at lunchtime. The atmosphere outside on a Saturday evening was excellent, but inside at lunchtime it was rather quiet. However, on both occasions the service was very good and the pizzas wonderful, among the best I've had for a long time. For me, Rudy's is one of the best places for pizza in the city centre.
