Fantastic food we will definitely be back

We've been here twice this year and each time have had a wonderful meal. The service is excellent, the atmosphere warm and the food excellent. The restaurant does not serve pizza (or not when we were there) but there is a good choice of pasta, meat and fish dishes. The starters are very good, especially my favourite, arancini. We've had a lovely evening each time we've been here - I'd say this is one of Liverpool's best restaurants.

Excellent food and drinks menu, the staff are great and very helpful. Always enjoy going there for lunch or dinner. Right up there with the best Italian food I've tasted in the UK or Italy. Well worth a visit.

Food was below average, expected a lot better with the reviews. It was a rushed meal as well, wasn't a relaxing experience at all, especially when the expensive bill comes at the end. Would not recommend, even for a local place.

The food was incredible. Cacio e pepe ravioli was the highlight for me, but the Bakewell tart was also amazing. The small plates of pasta are pretty big. Definitely enough if you’re having a starter and desert. The serving board that the affogato came on was really cool. Nice branded wooden board with a space for each ingredient and a little magnetic spoon holder. Just a really nice touch. My one criticism was that the ice machine is in the dining space on the 2nd floor… So it’s pretty loud when someone is taking a load of ice from it and also when it refills. Annoying enough for me to be conscious of it anyway.

We’ve been here many times before and loved it but tonight was really disappointing. Firstly my 80 year old mother in law was made to struggle upstairs even though there was space downstairs when we arrived and left. Secondly we were rushed throughout the meal. Our main courses arrived as we were eating our bread. The waitress took our mains away but was obvious that they had been heated up when we’re ready to eat them. £36 for the Hake, £25 for the ravioli and they were both cold.

Me and my boyfriend tried Vincenzo’s for the 1st time ever and we were delighted. From the amazing food, to the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff we will definitely be coming back. 5/5

We had Edy as our server and she was just wonderful! The food was amazing, we had delicious pasta, chicken and antipasti. Don’t miss out the cannoli - took me back to Italy

time we have visited this restaurant and it definitely won’t be the last ! The staff in the restaurant are so friendly and helpful and will try and do anything possible to make sure you have a great experience . We were a large party for an 60 th and everybody's food was hot and delicious with plenty of choice and of an excellent quality. Prior to going to the restaurant I had contacted them on a couple of occasions and again they could not have been more accommodating . This is definitely a little gem and we will be back .

Simply the best restaurant in Liverpool. Martin and the the whole crew are amazing, and make you feel like part of the family. No other reataurant gets anywhere near the quality of the food. It really is Michelin quality.

Birthday treat heard so many good things about this place everything excellent apart from main course lobster quite chewy , which they changed for us and second time round still the same ,have to say my wife isn't one to complain and hates saying anything,but the manager or even if it was the owner was excellent on asking us what we would like ,few drinks on the house also , we never got to ask was the lobster fresh or frozen as its cooked on the grill still a good night all round

Omg this place a must. The food was impeccably delicious. The wines advised were perfect for the food we had. The staff are polite, curtious and very attentive. You absolutely pay for what you get. Outstanding that’s all I can say.

A little over-priced. If everything on the menu was £5 cheaper this would be a really lovey restaurant. The food is good-but not outstanding-fairly standard Italian. Portion sizes are generous, but still not worth £18 for a lasagna which needs an extra £5 for a side dish (sorry if my prices are a couple of £s out). Service is attentive but feels like they are trying to up-sell the wine, by the way they keep topping your glass up unnecessarily. The atmosphere is nice, seats are comfy. 3 stars because the food isn’t quite good enough for the price tag in my opinion.

Food was excellent and the staff lovely. A very enjoyable lunchtime. Visited again! This restaurant is excellent, again the staff could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. I loved my lobster ravioli meal.Although I am lucky to be near all the restaurants in Allerton Road this is worth the extra distance !

This restaurant is the best. We had the best family dinner here with a lot of laughs. The atmosphere was friendly and quiet. The service was excellent. We were well looked after all night. The kids age 11 and 9 loved the pasta carbonara. They said it tasted exactly the same as the once they had in Italy. I had the best lamb chops and lobster ravioli. We also loved the aranchini and the chocolate torta. Don’t miss out on this brilliant restaurant!!

Exceptional food and service. We came bank holiday Monday an hour before closing and the staff were unbelievably accommodating. Food was delicious, staff really knowledgeable - and they were so patient, we didn't feel rushed at all despite visiting so late. Brilliant experience

Deservedly popular, this family-run, Italian restaurant serves delicious, homemade dishes that delight the palate. Always busy, booking is essential if you want to be sure of a table. Staff are extremely helpful and attentive and the atmosphere always has a buzz. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. We were celebrating our sons birthday and this was a restaurant he really wanted to come to and it was so lovely.

Birthday treat for my wife. Food was good but service FAR too pushy. It felt like we were being rushed out the door. Less than 90 mins after entering told we had 30 mins before they needed our table back. No desire to go there again which is a pity because it’s a 2 minute walk away. If I wanted fast food I would go to McDonalds

Fabulous food Service and Atmosphere brilliant night had by all

After numerous recommendations we finally got to eat here. Food was unreal, service was fantastic and the wine was superb. We will 100% be back!

Came up from London to visit my Aunt who lives round corner from Vincenzo’s. She was raving about this place and of course when someone raves about somewhere so much, you wonder if it will live up to your expectations. Well, it really did.I had the king prawn, scallop and monkfish skewer on a bed of the tastiest risotto with perfectly cooked courgette and pepper. It was just exquisite and I know I’ll be craving it next week. The portions are generous and even the mixed leaf salad was tangy and fresh with a scrumptious dressing. Everything seemed to be made with love and care something you just don’t get everywhere. I eat out a fair bit in London and this is no exaggeration this was the tastiest food I’ve had in a long time. The waiting staff were perfectly pitched, just the right balance and really seemed to care about the restaurant, puffing cushions so they were just right and chatting to all the customers with a friendly ease! Well done Vincenzos! 👏

Went for a family meal on Saturday lunchtime could not have had a better meal anywhere.

We had another lovely evening in Vincenzo’s. We all enjoyed the rib eye steak. Juicy and delicious. Fabulous brownie and Bakewel for dessert. Good choice of wine too. We enjoyed the rosè. Staff very attentive as always.

Food overall was lovely. Had arrancini to start which was realky nice. For main had seabass which also came with prawns and scallops. Fish cookery was excellent however th3 fish arrived on a ved of dry salad withe 4 roasted cherry tomatoes. Some form of salad dressing would have elevated the dish. Side order of roast potates somewhat helped and most of the salad not eaten. Resturant itself had a lovely cosy vibe so would re visit but probably not have the same main.

We visited on a Saturday, early evening, party of 4. We were sat upstairs, a nice warm welcome and good recommendations on our choice of wines. The guy looking after us was very knowledgeable and professional albeit a bit on the manic side….not really conducive to a relaxing time. We had 2 bottles of wine, starters, main courses and after meal liqueurs/wine. Food was beautiful, absolutely lovely, couldn’t fault it. However, they forgot to bring our sides of bread and olives as a pre starter and then forgot to bring a side dish with the main. Shouldn’t have to chase this, but we had to. We were having a really pleasant experience until the server came over and abruptly slapped down our bill and told us he’d need the table back shortly!! I totally understand that they’ve got further covers but this was pretty rude to be honest. Our bill came, which was over £270.00, so you can appreciate us being a little bit peeved with being rushed to leave. Not sure I’d visit again, I’d definitely return for the food but doubtful due to the service and experience.

Not left a review for a little while but have to say this place lived up to high expectations in every way. Particular call out to all staff members. As well as the classic dishes inc scallops , lobster rav and chicken kiev (I know that’s not the name) which I will be returning for soon. Also helped my date was a smoke show.

Have been here several times so knew what to expect but today's food was incredible. Had fishcakes to start then the trio of fish. The portion was large and I was quite surprised. The scallops were juicy and tender in a beautiful sauce.the sea bass was delicious and the Argentinian prawns were huge and very tasty. Couldn't eat it all. Service was top notch as usual. Never been to a restaurant like this where the staff are so friendly and enthusiastic. Thank you James you made us feel so welcome and looked after. Cannot wait for my next visit! Unbelievable place!

Quality is not anymore as used to be...Even after complaining no action has been taken...Lady in the service was good...

Booked after a recommendation from a friend and have to say, they lived up to the hype. The atmosphere had a lovely feel, the environment was warm and relaxing, really enjoyed all aspects. I had the Burrata Special followed by the fillet with some cheeky truffle & parmesan fries. Portions had me stuffed, just means I will have to return for dessert. Will fully recommend to anyone and will be returning soon.

Lovely atmosphere on entering this restaurant which continued upstairs . Great decor , lighting and general ambience . Good service and food but VERY expensive for nothing out of the ordinary. I object to paying for pasta/ potatoes extra to the Milanese dish .

Celebrated my mum’s birthday here today and she cannot be happier . The service was excellent! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were really friendly . The food was amazing , everything was so tasty . The prawn can be a bit fresher as some were a bit mashy, but taste wise they were all delicious ! It is not cheap , but well worth it with the quality and the portion size of the main is generous . Definitely will come back and highly recommend to anyone who want a nice Italian meal .

I had the meatballs to start they were delicious and the toast they came with was devine I had lasagna for my main it was so nice and very tasty. The staff are always brilliant and you don’t wait ages for your food if you haven’t been it’s a must thank you Vincenzo’s ❤️
