Perfect for an aperitivo or even a nice meal. The terrace is heated, or you can sit inside. Staff are always friendly. Makes me feel like I'm back in Europe as lots of Italian, Spanish customers. The aperitivos are always welcome (thanks, Maria!) And the aubergine ravioli is possibly the nicest thing I've ever eaten. Great parmigiana, focaccia and lasagne too. So lucky to have this on our doorstep in Liverpool.

Really nice food, very nice staff. Unfortunately some pastas are very small, in my case I had to order an extra one, my friend had to do the same. I still gave you 5 stars, but please make the dishes much bigger

First night in Liverpool and arrived close to 10pm and was welcomed with Italian hospitality the food ..authentic recommend this place

We recently called in on a lazy Sunday afternoon for a glass of wine (excellent) before moving on elsewhere. However, we enjoyed the ambience, service and general buzz of A Tavola so much we didn't want to move. We had another drink and then some delicious food. I had the smoked salmon linguini with cream. My only slightly negative comment is that there is just a single WC for everyone. To be fair, it was clean but had a very suspect lock and the door opens out to a tabled area. I wouldn't want to queue if I was in a hurry! Would I recommend this place? Yes of course.

We had a wonderful evening meal here -we could not fault it. Delicious starters which were very generous in portion size. All four of us chose a different main course and all were fantastic. A lovely tiramisu to finish! With truly lovely staff, we cannot rate this highly enough.

Absolute perfection, relaxed staff, amazing food (the yellow pumpkin pasta is all I've talked about since my first visit) spotlessly clean. One of Liverpools hidden gems I could not fault it and I'm a hard person to please! Round your meal off with a canoli and a coffee for the full experience can not rate this place enough, it makes il forno look like Burger King and puts the wine list to absolute shame the casa will always have its charms, but I have fully been converted! Also the nibble are a nice touch!

The service is not very good here at all. We were sat outside and waited so long to be served. Eventually we got up and went inside to order at the till. During our evening it was very difficult to get the attention of staff and no apologies were offered for our wait. When the food arrived it was extremely hard and not edible in parts. The apertivo was also disappointing. On Instagram it looks plentiful but in reality we received a bowls of crisps and olives, which would ordinarily be okay but this is very different to what's advertised. Would only recommend for drinks, do not bother with the food

Locale carino e situato in una bella zona di Liverpool ma l’ho trovato freddo e senza personalità e il personale anche non molto accogliente . I prezzi un po’ alti e l’aperitivo consiste solo in un po’ di patatine in busta e qualche tarallo, nulla di che. C’è di molto meglio per quanto riguarda qualità prezzo.

I don’t know where to start other than wow! The people are amazing here, Maria and Roberto ran a Pizza Masterclass that was second to none, the class ran for over two hours we never felt rushed, Roberto helped everyone in the class individually to ensure their pizza was a success! All ingredients used are the very best quality so it was no surprise when the pizzas tasted amazing. We learnt so much and felt very welcomed throughout I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone. The location is a little gem that you would easily walk past, the family also own a number of venues next door which we can’t wait to try out! Thank you to all of the A Tavola family for a wonderful experience.

Loved the Italian cooking class. We went for the Ravioli class and enjoyed every minute of it. Drinks included were great too.

The location offers a unique atmosphere, unparalleled in town, which brings you closer than you could imagine to an Italian wine bar. Maria- the owner- is very caring with her customers and brings her full self, with her high energy and joy to every single group that visits her place. Go, and enjoy it!

Absolutely adore this place. Would call it a hidden gem but that doesn't do it justice. Deli is stocked with everything you'd need and even things you may not have heard of/had. Food is all cooked fresh and is simply delicious. The Arancini is a must! Coffee is spot on, bar has bottles, spirits, cocktails, draught and the wine list is pretty impressive. Can't recommend this place highly enough as it literally does everything. They even have evenings teaching you had to cook Italian meals. Love it.

Authentic Italian deli, great atmosphere and wonderful customer service. Maria is always ready to welcome every one with a smile. I used A Tavola for my meetings or a quick meal. Every Christmas I have my humpers prepared to friends and work colleagues. There are other restaurants around the premise but A Tavola give a taste of Italy informally and elegant. The wine sélection are to all tastes from Rocca di Montemassi, Sassicaia, Masseto, Solaia, Barolo, Amarone, Tignanello. If you don't understand, no problem Gigi is always willing to help both for the food and drinks.

Tasted some Italians but this one was sooo good and completely incomparable to a usual Italian restaurant. Karol matched the wine for me and O.M.G!! It was such a perfect personal experience your tastebuds get transported to Mediterranean! No joke, this is not an ad.

If you are not one of their regular customers, they treat you super badly and do not give you a drink with the excuse that they cannot serve you because it is too late I do not recommend it

My friends and I visited A Tavola after covid restrictions were slightly lifted, and we were initially enthused by the location and reservation we were provided, but we were prevented from ordering alcohol after 10pm due to the manager stating the night was a “disaster” whilst they continued to serve tables of girls. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone as you may be cut off at any point if you’re not an attractive female. Will not be coming back.

Amazing hidden gem of a place. Perfect for those who love their Italian food and particularly their wine. We got a fine selection of cheeses and cooled meats as well as garlic ciabatta and calamari. Prices are about what you expect for somewhere in the town centre. The manager, Marie, I believe is exceptional.

Great atmosphere, only 2 indoor tables so if you book ask for one of those especially in the winter. However there are heaters outside and many tables where full even in December. The meat and cheese boards are amazing, so is the selection of wines ( not cheep though) We have a great time every time we visit.

Visité aquí como parte de un recorrido gastronómico "Tours gastronómicos de Liverpool". Es un pequeño lugar increíble, escondido en una plaza cerca de Duke Street, con asientos al aire libre, sombrillas y calefacción, lo que significa que puede tener una comida o bebida al aire libre segura.Tuvimos tres vinos diferentes con una tabla de quesos, panes y galletas saladas. Todo fue explicado por el gerente y fue genial. Planeamos volver pronto.

Lugar maravilhoso! Fãs de comida italiana vão amar este lugar! Estávamos em um grupo grande portanto pedimos muita coisa e tudo estava impecável, a lasanha foi a melhor que eu já comi em toda a minha vida. E o ambiente é acolhedor e aconchegante, o serviço também é excelente. Recomendo!

Hemos visitado A Tavola en muchas ocasiones para tomar café y bebidas y para comprar vinos, pastas y productos frescos, ya que es una deliciosa charcutería italiana.Decidimos llamar el domingo pasado para comprar pasta después del almuerzo en Il Forno, que está al lado y después de ver el menú, decidimos llamar ayer después del trabajo para probar el tablero de charcutería.María es una excelente anfitriona y la tabla de carne y queso para dos personas con pan ciabatta casero fue increíble, fue como estar de regreso en Italia.Disfrutamos de un par de vasos de Primitivo y preguntamos si podíamos tener nuestros postres de tiramisú y cannoli para llevar, lo cual María amablemente nos agradeció.Definitivamente regresaremos y probaremos una de las escuelas de cocina que hacen todos los domingos.Grazie

This place is definitely Liverpool’s hidden gem! Our son recently moved into the apartment building so we have been a couple of times and always received the warmest of Italian welcomes we went tonight with the kids and their partners for our sons birthday and it was fabulous! The food and friendliness of the staff made it a real treat! Grazie xx

As soon as you walk into Tavola you forget you are in Liverpool, super friendly hosts and servers with the best aperitif in the city. Free nibbles with our Aperol Spritz tied us over before dinner and was the perfect pre drinks location. I am dying to try one of their wine tasting events they look incredible.. I will be back

Después de un día de compras, pedimos una buena botella de vino, que se servía con aceitunas, patatas fritas, etc. Ambiente encantador y el personal era excelente.Teníamos una comida reservada en il forno, que fue bastante decepcionante, así que volvimos a A Tavola para tomar un aperitivo, nos dieron algunos dulces.Mi hijo a menudo visita esta tienda de delicatessen que presenté a la familia y acordaron que fue un hallazgo brillante.

If you don't want to be in an overpriced crowded restaurant and want to 're-capture' your holiday vibe of a nice small meditteran eatery - go to this place.Maria is the owner, and she will take real good care of you, it is in essence a 'deli' but it is also a really nice small restaurant/cafe/eatery and its not expensive.It is one of the best places in town - but it is very small, outside dining but its a great atmosphere.

We had coffee and pastries here which were delicious and the staff were very welcoming. We had a chat about their cookery school and plan to make a visit sometime. After our day out we went back to buy pasta and oils from a wide selection on offer.

We came to A Tavola for the pizza making class. The class itself was very enjoyable, with friendly staff. However it is a great little place for authentic Italian wine and food, with a really chilled vibe. We will definitely be returning with friends in the near future and may even book on for the pasta making class too.
