Recomiendo totalmente

I mean, really not much else to say other than this was some of the best pizza I have ever eaten outside of Italy! Staff were superb, service was perfectly efficient, not too pushy and not too slow. The restaurant has a lovely, informal atmosphere. But the pizza really is the star. I went for the Truffle Mushroom and every bite was mouth-watering. My companions all picked something different, including a vegan pizza, and everything looked delicious. I highly recommend the pesto dip for crusts too! Overall, we had a fab time and I will definitely make another visit when back in Lincoln!

Have eaten here previous and the food was very good. We went on 27/12/24 and it seems to depend who Serves you to how you are looked after. No water for the table and no bread on this occasion? I ordered a Pina colada and I realise it’s a restaurant and not a bar but if you can’t make the drinks correctly then don’t have them on the menu. I received a glass full of ice and I mean full so now only 1/3 of a drink I’m paying for, then it was just coconut milk with a slight hint of rum. Why no pineapple juice? Very disappointing. Food was very nice again but wish it was a little hotter for eating and service from the waitress could be improved as if they enjoyed their work.

This is a review for the original Bar Unico in Lincoln as opposed to the monstrosity that has replaced it in the form of Crazy Appetite. Bar Unico was the best place in Lincoln for coffee and breakfast. Its replacement is dire. The main reason for posting this review is as a warning to potential customers for Crazy Appetite. This is not the same place and isn’t worth your custom.

The most stunning freshly made cannoli I’ve ever eaten! Service was absolutely impeccable. I popped in after seeing cannoli mentioned in the window, there weren’t any in the display case so I was about to leave disappointed when the server asked what I would like, I said cannoli but there weren’t any, to be told how many would I like? They make them fresh throughout the day and we’re making another batch right then and could make some exactly how I’d like them! I ordered two and while k waited the gentleman gave me a little bit of another dessert they had which was divine (yes I did take some home). I had just eaten lunch so I was kicking myself as they had an amazing array of arancini, pizza slabs and cured meats available for savoury tastes. They even had a vegan arancini which I was very impressed by! While I was there several Italian construction workers visited for their takeaway lunch, so it is obviously popular with the local community and I can see why. I can’t wait to go back and have a proper lunch there!

If you want good food in a nice setting with happy customers Then give this place a very wide birth!!! We have been to Cafe Zoot in the past and enjoyed the meals very much. After this evening offerings we will never return there again. The so called vegan Shepherds Pie had as much texture as wallpaper paste, and tasted barely more appealing. As for the Ale tasting gravy…. there are no words . A sloppy offering of something pretending to be a cheesecake to finish. Yuk is all I can say. There were people rightfully complaining about their meals on every side of our very small cramped room. There must be much better places to eat in Lincoln than this Don’t waste your money and insult your tastebuds by using this once very good place to eat. Sadly no more.

Our party of 4 had the philly cheese steak which for £17 odd was well under sized ,the steak was very thin and sloppy ! and bland in taste and my chips were too crispy. Staff were very good and polite, the atmosphere was very loud

The menu offers a wide range of options, and the service was both friendly and efficient, with food arriving quickly. We started with the Nduja sausage dough balls and bruschetta, both of which were huge. The dough balls were fresh and delicious, but they could easily have been half the size and still been plenty. For mains, we tried the crayfish and prawn pasta and the spicy Arrabbiata pasta, which were decent but not exceptional. With two soft drinks each and a 10% tip, the total came to £70. Would have given 5 stars but the place is a bit dirty with tables not properly wiped down and visible food on the floors. Glass entrance doors and windows are in a real need of a good clean.

Quick, tasty, decently priced and served with a smile! I don’t ask for much - but Frankie & Bennys, Lincoln tick every box and pass with flying colours. Ok - the food isn’t sensational, but for what it is, it does superbly. Free refills on coffee and tea which you barely have to ask for as our waiter took care of us enough to ask when our cups looked empty. Perhaps the overly generous score is to combat the harsh reviews below - this is not a bad place to eat! And I come here enough to know that. I have the three egg omelette with different fillings each time to try them out!

First time trying Gino's, usually really enjoy Italian but I've got to say it wasn't great. I was expecting good quality Italian food but I was left feeling a bit disappointed. We began going in the front restaurant and told to go to the other door, we went there and then we're told to go to the front. We told them and they went away and came back and asked us to follow them upstairs. The server than started serving and I was slightly confused but another colleague then told us to follow him. He ran up the stairs and waited for us at the top, when we got to the top he simply pointed to the middle row and told us which table to go to. I think this really loses it's personal touch that they're too busy to take us to the table. The tables are very close together so other customers have to squeeze past when they're being seated, not very comfortable. We were trying to have conversation but the 80s pop music is far too loud so it made it quite difficult to hear one another. The food was bland and just not what I'd expected, the meat calzone had spinach and onion which I would normally enjoy but the sheer amount was disproportionate it was like a bland, boiled onion and spinach slaw with little taste. The wait staff were attentive whilst we were seated but I think that's about as good as it gets. To me it seems like it's a restaurant that would have been popular 20 years ago but it's almost had its day, the price doesn't reflect the quality of the food when you compare it to other independent Italian's in the area. It's a shame really, location is great but experience is rather underwhelming.

I nipped in for a spot of food b4 the cinema! It was warm and cosy inside and didn’t feel self conscious eating on my own! Anya was super helpful and really made me feel confortable! Excellent service and I would recommend and return!
