This is a super find just out of the bustling centre of Lincoln The service is fantastic It is a restaurant in a converted house, so a little bit different, but the food is amazing, and there is so much yummy stuff on the menu If you are visiting lincoln, this is a visit you have to make

Out for a walk and just happened to pass by, what luck! Situated in an older home converted to a restaurant, the atmosphere and staff made you feel like you were in Italy! The food was absolutely delicious. Vincenzo is a wonderful host. Ant wait to visit again!

Definitely one of lincolns best hidden gems. The lunch menu is fantastic value. The bruschetta is incredible, ive never had such great tasting tomatoes before. The lasagna was fantastic. Absolutely can't wait to return. If you enjoy Italian food, head down here.

Well finally got to experience one of the best meals ever eaten! A converted bay fronted terraced house that holds fabulous, food, service and good value for money - we will definitely be back - am just a little cross we haven't been before! 2 shared starters between the 4 of us got us off to a fabulous start, then a seafood linguine and a risotto special along with pasta stuffed with lobster and a Spezzatino - delicious. Served by lovely , polite and attentive waiter and waitress. Rum baba and creme brulee for puddings, again just wonderful. Don't put off going to this little treat of a place.

We were kindly 'fitted in' so unable - not enough time before the table was needed for a booking - to have a pudding. The main courses we (four people) ate were delicious. Visiting Lincoln 18th October. We booked a table! Ate here again, party of four people. Delightful evening, superb main courses, scrumptious puddings. Good choice of wines. Staff made us welcome. Looking forward to our next visit!

My wife Agnes and I booked a lunch for 14 people to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary on Saturday 19th October. The customer service was first class and the food freshly cooked and delicious.It all contributed to an amazing day!! Thank you to the manager/chef and all the staff

I've been here three times, and I can definitely vouch for the food. What I like most about the food here is that everything is light and you can feel the freshness of the ingredients. My personal favorite is the garlic bread with cheese which I strongly recommend. In my two previous visits the service was good and this time too, the tall gentleman who was caring for our table did a fantastic job but one of the kitchen staff did something that soured our taste at the beginning. We knocked on the door as we had arrived just at their opening time and the door didn’t open at the first try so I thought maybe we should knock. The person who eventually came shouted IT IS OPEN in a very rude manner and didn’t open the door for us. This is not how you treat guests. A smile doesn’t cost anything.

Phenomenal, the appetizer, main and dessert was delicious, tastes like proper authentic Italian food i used to eating growing up and the house wine was very good.

Great Italian restaurant. Food delicious, good service. Only thing to say is that the atmosphere is a little flat. Feels like you are in someone's front room. The background music was barely audible. Could have done with being a little louder to save having to whisper to each other!

The food is amazing!! I don't think I've ever tasted seafood this good!! The place is cozy and very welcoming and the waitress was exceptionally kind too.

Tried this place based on seeing it just from walking past. I thought wow this could be a hidden gem. Unfortunately although the atmosphere was nice enough the following thoughts are from our experiences. Staff are not working together with communication. Many people receiving wrong items or wrong drinks or waiting. Staff confused on who is serving or to whom. Quality of food was poor, I've eaten in so many authentic Italian places. This place aims to do that but cuts corners. This is really obvious. Food portions were ok but we added salt to taste, pasta didn't taste freshly made, and the chicken taste like it had been frozen and it's a real shame. Starters were also not really starters, either that or there is confusion around presentation. One thing that was crazy to me is that we ordered desert just to have the full experience. Was told they are home made. Next minute I look across the room and a server is putting our desert on a plate from the fridge and sprinkling decoration .... the desert wasn't even prepared by the chef. I also over heard conversations from staff about been really rushed because the normal chef was not in ... this made us feel guilty for asking where our mains were after a 30 minute wait from finishing the starter. I wouldn't recommend this place. I'm sorry to say.

Not really a kind host and cooker, you ask the cooker what to eat ..... he did reply: check the menu ...... cooker is from Italy yes, However food is not really authentic .... overpriced as well. kudos to the waitresses they are kind and professional.

Brilliant find. Lovely little restaurant. Superb food. Especially the Sea Bass...delicious and huge!!! We sat outside in the vine covered garden. Highly recommend.

.. let down by the service which was not attentive at all and not due to the kitchen - - even when the next table asked for the bill, the server continued removing napkins from the next table & then went off elsewhere. The food was excellent, however.

Vincenzo's is slightly incongruously set in a mid terrace Victorian house and you do feel a little like you are dining in someone's house. Nice atmosphere, excellent service and a good choice of food. Nice to get complimentary bread and olives. The Agnolotti DArragosta (Lobster Pasta £16.00) was an excellent first course. The Halibut (£28) and Vegetarian Pizza (£14.50) were both very good too. The house red was very quaffable and it was nice to find somewhere serving decent Strega. Refreshingly, they don't automatically add service, so be generous if you have enjoyed your meal!

Well what can I say this was a wonderful restaurant The food was so tasty and fresh and the staff were charming We came here several years ago it was fabulous then as it is now We are veggie for the record so plenty of choices

When our family vacations, we make it a point to create *top three lists* of our favorite attractions, hotels, etc... Of the many (40+) restaurants during our 3 week trip, this would be in the top three of them all! Maybe even the tippy top! If you don't stop here, you will miss out on the opportunity of one of the best places in all of England!!!

Exquisite food . Fantastic service.

A group of 8 of us went at the weekend (13th July) for a hen do! We all absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, service was amazing, friendly, joking around with us. We all recommend you go a try! Unfortunately the experience was abit rushed due not being able to book in earlier and had to be somewhere else but overall fantastic!

We were staying in Lincoln for a few days and did our research. This restaurant came up and as we like Italian gave it a go. It is advisable to book as it was almost full on a Monday evening. The food was so tasty and the service was excellent. Would definitely return.

What an amazing place, we went for lunch on a weekday so I’m not sure how busy it gets at peak times but I hope they do well because it was some of the best Italian food I’ve ever tasted. What a lovely family run business, well definitely be back ☺️

We visited for a family lunch this afternoon. We all absolutely loved this restaurant, felt so welcomed by the waitress and the restaurant felt really homely. The staff were fantastic. The food was absolutely out of this world. Had a real variety of dishes and whether pasta, risotto, chicken or pizza everything was fantastic and the tomato garlic bread starter was amazing. Would definitely return and recommend to friends. Wish I'd taken more pictures of the food

Thank you so much for hosting the fabulous 60th Birthday party for my partner Gill. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable and we wanted for nothing. We have dined with you on many occasions and we will continue to do so in the future, what a great little authentic Italian restaurant. Booked ahead for a birthday meal. We arrived on time (around 15 minutes after opening time) and were told that the ovens weren't on and would need time to warm up before we could order (why was this not done before opening?!). Ordered two drinks - Appletiser and a diet Coke - but were given apple juice and full fat Coke (particularly worrying as my partner is type one diabetic). They were very blunt and rude about having to correct their own mistake, and shouted to other members of staff in Italian (which, given the mood of the situation, made us feel nervous and excluded). We looked at starters, only to be told that several items on the menu were not available (and that the ovens still weren't ready). The overall feel of the restaurant at this point was cold, tense, and frankly very uncomfortable. We hadn't yet received our replacement drinks, so we told them not to worry as we'd decided not to stay. To save any negativity, I said I wasn't feeling well, but their response was aggressive (+ more shouting to other members of staff), and lacking any kind of sympathy or concern. They even mentioned charging for the drinks they'd given us by mistake(!), but we walked out. Admittedly, this visit was nearly a year ago - but the negative experience has not left my mind! Goes without saying we will not be going back.

The comment by Luna K is absolutely false, they either have the wrong restaurant or are a business trying to put another business down! Me, my family and friends have been eating regularly at this restaurant since the day it opened, about 14 years ago. The food is always excellent and so is the service! The pizza oven is always on and ready for service at opening times, we often have a tomato garlic pizza as a starter and we often go in just as the restaurant opens. This is a gem of a restaurant, we have tried other Italian restaurants and nothing gets close to being as good as this one!

An absolute gem. Uniquely housed in a terraced house you are welcomed warmly as if in someone’s home. The food was amazing, from the carpaccio of salmon, seafood pasta and the Puglia chicken and mushroom pasta. A wealth of options beyond the usual including an amazing torte pistachio with pistachio ganache. We’re only visiting Lincoln but I’d love to return just for another visit to this Italian gem. Thank you.

A unique experience in a cosy home from home Italian restaurant. A great menu offering all the usual Italian delights! Service was prompt and food delicious. The only down side for us, was the lack of personal service from the host. Not the usual welcome we have had from other Italian eateries.

Located in a house, this cosy restaurant offers delightful food served with obvious and deserved pride. The meal was unhurried and delicious. We opted to forgo starters to have a dessert. Though both of us wish we had tried the courgette carpaccio. We each had a pasta dish. Both were excellent. My wife, who has a small appetite, ate almost everything on the plate. A rare event and high praise. I had the sausages and beef with pasta. Sadly, I had only 1 sausage, but a lot of beef. The sausage brought the dish alive and made it truly excellent. I had eaten almost half the dish before discovering the sausage. In view of the lack of sausage and the description of sausages in the plural, this was disappointing. I made a comment to both waiters with no response. Hence not given a 5 review. For desert we had a torta which was a beautifully light and delicious sponge. Well worth visiting.

Great meats as you'd expect from a Brazilian! Nothing negative to say at all.

Authentic Italian restaurant, run by Italian family, homely, freshly cooked produce, great selection of wine. Parking very close by, and if you fancy heading into town it's only 2 mins from the highstreet. Will definitely revisit.

If you're looking to take yourself out for dinner, maybe look elsewhere. I went in there half an hour after opening and asked for a table for one and was told they were fully booked up....even though the place was empty. The guy on the door couldn't have been more unwelcoming and eager to get me out the door. Not a good look. I managed to have a nice birthday meal out elsewhere though 🤟🏻

Just popped in for the lunch menu. Decent choices available and food was tasty. I would definitely return for a full evening meal with wine to get the full experience.

Absolutely delicious and very authentic food. We went two nights on the trot. Lovely service. It’s a must if visiting Lincoln but you’ll need to book as it’s very popular, and rightly so.

Come for a homey meal in a cosy space. Service was prompt and the quality of food didn’t disappoint after all the great things I’d heard about the place. Also realised I’ve been pronouncing caprese incorrectly this whole time, so I’ll take the mini language lesson as a bonus!

Amazing little place! I couldn’t believe how cozy this restaurant is! The restaurant is a house on a side street and does the best Italian food I’ve ever tasted. One of our friends is an Italian and she was over the moon at the authentic food. The service and food were incredible. Highly recommended. We will definitely return here when I’m crazing good Italian food!!

This is a reasonable Italian in a terraced house very close to the city centre. We would recommend booking as it gets busy. The staff and food are authentic Italian but the menu is a little limited. The food was ok and quick. The pizza was fine but we have had better and the pasta was pleasant. Nice house red reasonably priced and the tiramisu was excellent

We have previously enjoyed this restaurant very much. Whilst the food was up to standard the lady who served us was very unfriendly.

This is a wonderful restaurant you can keep your chains. The food was fabulous n tasty, we were well looked after, staff were there but not intrusive. We went here last year when we had a night in Lincoln, so didn't hesitate to go back. You must book n well in advance that's how good it is. Its a small restaurant but nobody is sat on your knees. The bill was not as big as you would expect for a small restaurant Thank you for looking after us. We will be back when we are in Lincoln again

This place shows exactly why you shouldnt go to the chain restaurants around the corner on the waterfront. The experience is soooo different, and soooo much better. Authentic Italian food, served in a beautiful atmosphere. They seated my wife and I with 30 minutes notice early on a Saturday night. If I can nitpick a little, the staff were a little cold and the beer I chose ("English Ale" it said on the menu turned out to be a 500ml bottle of Black Sheep at GBP5, was not cold, but otherwise the whole experience was delightful. Outstanding food quality, price and portion size. My wife and I have visited Italy many times and this was as close as we have come to that experience in Britain. So happy we went here instead of those dreadful chain Italians on the waterfront, definitely going again.

Charming trattoria, chose an opportune time as managed to squeeze me in without a reservation. Went with the orecchiette and it reminded me of my time in Puglia. Definitely one to go back to and try a few more dishes.

A very highly rated restaurant that we visited with four adults and four children for a leaving mail. I’ve never been here before and it is in a hidden small terrorist house where you are literally sat in. What should be the front room. To say that your seating area is limited would be an understatement. I was sat with my knees pressed firmly against the table of the back of my chair firmly against the wall.the food is cooked fresh to order so there is a weight which the children weren’t particularly impressed with as there was no colouring or anything for them to do whilst waiting. Between us, all, there were a couple of margarita pizzas, a couple of garlic bread with cheese for the children, and then a seafood pasta dish, a calzone and all the food was very tasty. This is a very nice restaurant, somewhat quirky, and certainly not inexpensive but at least worth one visit.

Ate here twice and enjoyed every mouthful. We each had a different chicken meal the first time then a different pasta meal the following evening and they were well cooked, very tasty and served on heated plates. On our first visit we were served by a lady and the second by a gentleman who were both friendly, helpful and attentive. Even the chef popped his head around the door. The restaurant itself was a surprise, on a side street in the 2 ground floor reception rooms in a Victorian terraced house but it worked. I'd recommend booking because it isn't very large and they don't seem to worry about diners taking their time to enjoy the food

Dinner; yes I was the 'early solo'. The 'pollo alla crema' with a glass of the house white was good then came the difficult choice, the dessert. Decisions, decisions, decisions. 🤔 I had the pannacotta, a single espresso & a small grappa. I went to a happy place.

Having eaten here before and enjoying it, we decided to give it another go. The place itself is lovely and cosy but the experience less so. The starters were nice but the main courses disappointing. My chicken was fairly tasteless and the other main courses...

Food was horrendous. Some of it cold too. Tomato sauce on my ragu was absolutely flavourless. Tasted like it was poured out of the cheapest passata tin straight onto the plate without any seasoning. Meat in the dish wasn't great either. Hard and didn't taste too fresh. None of us were happy with our food. Service was okay-ish. Ultimately wouldn't recommend. This definitely isn't Italian food

The restaurant is a little like sitting in Vincenzo's front room. Given the location, this is understandable, and you shouldn't let it distract you from the quality of the food. We've been here several times, and the food is always really tasty, hot and well presented. We will keep using this restaurant
