The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Love coming here . Food is amazing and quick . Staff are so friendly.

Its not closed, its just changed its name to Ristorante Amalfi. We were invited by friends. It has a wide menu and food was OK. Soup starter was actually good but main course still very average and would not return.

Staying at 1777 and this restaurant is close by. Booked and this is advised at weekends I should think. Tables are turned around quickly, helpful staff, reasonably priced and food freshly cooked. I did feel it is an eat and move on location but that may be because it was a busy night. A large group arrived which increased the volume but that cannot be helped, the only trouble was one of the group kept putting his arm in the seat. This is not the restaurant’s fault but we soon moved on.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The food was fresh and well cooked and full of flavour. The servers were friendly and funny and great with my kids. The restaurant was very busy but the service did not suffer.

No the same brilliant experience as the Galleria. Food OK but just a now normal wine bar with food. And no real atmosphere.

This is a confusing place now. Since the revamp the name has sort of changed but the old name still applies we are all confused. Is it Casparri's or Pianilo's at the moment its both. ??. The web confirms this as they both appear as separate businesses but at the same address. ?. The interior has changed and is of a high standard, a very comfortable atmosphere. Service is great. food is good. However this is now a pizza and pasta Italian restaurant which is now competing with budget restaurants at luxury prices. Unfortunately the Italian mains have now gone, no steak, no pork, no lamb, no fish, no specials board. Unfortunately I feel they will only appeal to a limited customer base with this new concept. I don't hold much hope for their future unless thing change. Sorry loved this place but very disappointed now.

I am gluten free and found the staff very helpful with my meal choice. The meal was served marked with GF flags and was delicious. I recently tried to replicate the experience at the Convent Garden branch but was not such a reassuring experience. So my congratulations for the staff at Braintree for providing such a fantastic service.

We were welcomed and served straight away, staff were knowledgeable of all the wines, so friendly and professional! Food came quickly and was delicious, great lunch time special offers.

Been a few times and enjoyed it but tonight food very average , my pasta and my sister in law poor Atmosphere flat and then observed supervisor reprimanding all table staff and then having words with one of ladies on team and she in tears This is not what customers on a night out need to see, very poor Would not go back

This is our 'go to' place for birthdays and celebrations, it never disappoints. Gluten free pizza tastes as good as regular ones. The service is great, attentive and no fuss - I ordered the wrong thing, entirely my fault, but they replaced it without me even asking, impressive. We'll be back, again and again, highly recommended.

What an amazing Christmas lunch we had yesterday at Angelo's Restaurant & Cocktails Bar Sunderland . I'm a very fussy eater but everything was catered for to perfection. I always say this year was better than last but they really outdo themselves year upon year. Plus the staff are so professional but still manage to treat us like family every time and the restaurant looked beautiful with the table decorations an added extra. Can't recommend this place enough ❤️

I stop in luton for meeting and decide to have quickly lunch , was bad experience i order pizza with spicy w salami was rubber very disappointing the test was horrible after I eating I left and less the one hour was vomiting

We have been here a few times and have not been disappointed. This time the service and meals were fine. But I only give 3 stars because the place was extraordinarily noisy. Loud chatter from other diners is to be expected, but adding overly loud music made it impossible to have a normal conversation, so we ate quietly and left without desert.

Best Italian in town. I come back to Barrow from Helsinki at least once a year and Salvana’s is always my first meal out. Always top! One thing though guys, you need to take some new pictures of the food for trip advisor because the current ones don’t do justice to the excellent and beautifully presented dishes!

The garlic bread was ok. The two mains were inedible and not eaten. We think the cream used on the risotto and carbonara was off. Absolutely tasteless and minging. Probably the worst meal we have had in a restaurant. Not a good way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Seriously wish we had gone elsewhere!!! Never again.
