We popped in thinking we'd like a cocktail before meeting friends for dinner. First warning sign was asking for a straight vodka martini, and the barman saying he can't make one (really?"!) And can only make what's on the menu. Their martini was full of extra fruit and vanilla flavoring, so passed on that. We went for Cosmopolitans instead, the menu suggested that would be pretty close to what a cosmo is sposed to be. It arrived, and I'm really not sure if it had any alcohol in it, seemed to be just sugar and grapefruit juice. Having drunk copious Cosmopolitans and Vodka martinis in NYC, I know what I'm sposed to be getting, and this was very much not it. At 14£ per cocktail they are taking the proverbial.

Arrived with high hopes after recommended, what a disappointment, rude and overbearing staff, average, overpriced food. Better off getting a pizza next door

One of Brighton's best venues is always welcoming, always has good cocktails, a brilliant atmosphere, and good people! the outside garden is fantastic and is open all year round. one of the best spots in Brighton , would highly recommend it!

We have best birthday get together you can ask for . Venue was perfect for our party staff where perfect the drinks where fast and great tasting and atmosphere was brilliant we loved it . Just look at the bathrooms. This was at 10:30pm - locks don’t work, no toilet paper or seat - vomit everywhere. This place is meant to be premium?! Imagine paying £10 for a spirit mixer with no ice and this is the state of the place.

Would not return to this venue. Hired out a space for a private event downstairs where they were charging more than the bar upstairs - £10 for a double spirit mixer in a plastic cup where the vessel was only half full with a couple of cubes of ice. TEN POUNDS. Staff were rude, wouldn’t serve cocktails as it was after 10pm and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. Again, if you’re paying that kind of price for a drink, you’d expect the venue to be taken care of and regular checks of the bathroom to be completed. Stay away if I were you, Gin Tub just over the road is far far nicer.

Myself and my partner were in Edinburgh for his birthday and our anniversary and had seen the amazing reviews online about this place and wow it did not disappoint! We booked in on the Friday for my partners birthday and it was so good we actually cancelled a reservation we had for another place on the Sunday for our anniversary and rebooked to go here again. The service, food, wine and atmosphere was all absolutely outstanding! We can’t recommend the place enough and we’ll be making sure we visit every time we come up to Edinburgh. Special shout out to the manager James, Zoe the host, Jessica, Marta and Davido!

7th August - went for drinks with 3 friends. I had two negroni’s which was 22£, I paid by card and was told that the payment hasn’t been taken, so I used my card again! The next day I noticed that it has been taken the first time and therefore have been charged twice! I contacted them straight away incl. screenshot. I was told someone will call me....nothing. I chased them up and I was told it takes a while to investigate...again nothing. Posted a review on their FB page and suddenly they became alive again, telling me that it will be dealt with ASAP. It doesn’t take two week to investigate! I have been charged twice as simple as that which clearly shows credited twice on their side! They called me first at 10.30pm (!!!!). I don’t need a phone call I need my money back! Definitely the last time me and my friends went there. Drinks are overpriced anyway and the bar is empty most of the time, no vibe at all!

We went down to this wine bar a glass of wine and bite to eat. The wine was nice and the food was ok but lacked atmosphere.

We arrived for my friends birthday to be told they had problems with their gas and wouldn't be serving food! Absolutely no apology and they had the contact number. Very difficult to find a restaurant for 5 on a busy Friday night. Won't be going there again!!!

We had a Groupon birthday voucher, booked it for Monday through their booking tool, received a confirmation and come Monday checking via phone the reservation was made was told we don't sell food Mondays, no chef. Not the biggest problem, went tonight , No greeting although a very shy waiter did look at us, approached the bar and was told sit there" customer service skills definitely require improvement. Young lady then had to fire fightr the evening and really did do her best with limited resources.Dinner was Rib Eye steak, which was disappointing although I did in fairness eat it all just didn't look or taste like a Rib Eye.Clean, decorative, great out door garden .I would return but I believe they sell a much cheaper cut on a voucher meal as I have previously had a very good meal in there.

They make the most amazing Pims And the food is delicious. Bar staff very attentive and friendly. Clean premises and fast and professional service. A good dining experience.

On arrival there was No Welcome. We had booked a table to eat. Given one drinks menu. Ordered Cocktails to start. With in 10 mins about 8-12 eastern Europeans arrived fist pumping staff to say hello wearing tracksuits and trainers. Turned out that this nicely decorated and ambient place is run by eastern Europeans which appears to have like for the same clientele. Did not order food and left to eat somewhere else that had a better environment.

Came here with my fiance and it was well worth it. We were lucky enough to find a groupon deal for two steaks. I had it medium rare and she had it medium. I kinda wished I had it rare as it was slightly over, but still very nice. We also got starters and the tomato and mushroom bruschetas we got were divine. We went on a Thursday so was very quiet, but still enjoyable as it wasn't noisy. I've been there for just drinks on a Friday before and it was nice to. Will visit again.

Visited Divini for my husband's bday meal. We went for a sharing seafood player which was massive and it was great! The we went for a steak and salad and no dissapoinmet here either! Decor is amazing and back garden in summer time is amazing to sit in! Planning to go back soon ! Thx Divino P.S. Cocktails were also delish !

Had a lovely works due night out . Food was nice and the staff were really nice .after the restuarant we went downstairs in the club for a dance and had a good time . I highly recommend it to anyone and ghanks for the god time we will be back

We went to Fatto and Mano's next door, but wanted something other than a pizza for lunch. Being short of time we popped into this wine bar next door, having viewed its menu. Big mistake! The restaurant was deserted and we were the only customers. The food took over an hour to be served. Other than the starters which were reasonable, the mains were terrible. My wife's mussels which were supposed to be steamed in garlic and white wine, arrived in a dish of hot water. I ordered the prawn tagliatelle with chili and garlic and got three measly prawns on the side. My son's steak was about the only reasonable dish. All the while we were subjected to the sound of disco music played at a ear splittingly loud volume. All in all, there must be hundreds of restaurants in Church Road, Hove that offer far better value for money. As the 1960's song goes " She's a Must to Avoid"!

We saw the menu outside and decided we would try it for our wedding anniversary on Friday 7th Sept. We were delighted with everything - the décor, the lovely staff, the amazing food and wine. I had the smoked salmon and avocado starter which was awesome. The music was a good level and the atmosphere was very good. The staff checked on us many times to make sure all was well. I would recommend this place.

Really disappointed. I’ve eaten here a few times and enjoyed it but stopped in the other day for a drink after work. All the surrounding pubs were full and buzzing but it was empty inside. Literally we were the only 2. The entire place stunk of smoke from cigarettes- the smell doesn’t usually bother me but it was so strong and made the place feel grubby and dirty and so intense that we left before ordering as couldn’t sit through it!

My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at Divino and we were a bit unsure about it, but everything was amazing. The staff was very friendly and kind. Food was delicious and the venue was fabulous. Will definitely go back.

Was walking past and thought this place has a nice outside seating area, especially on this particular sunny day. Good decor and the lady who served me was brilliant. My friend later joined and we decided to get a sharing platter, so went for seafood. Presentation was lovely, there was whitebait, calamari and prawns. The whitebait and calamari were cooked to perfection however the prawns were a let down as they had been deep fried and turned to rubber. The chef happened to be outside. We gave the ‘what we thought was constructive feedback’ about the prawns saying maybe pan fry them but the reaction we got was absolutely disgusting and we will not be returning. He turned red and shouted at us ‘why don’t we go in the kitchen and cook’ then proceeded to tell us to get out. I am appalled with the way we were treated. The chef was completely out of order and let the company name and staff down. Never in my life have I ever left a restaurant feeling so awful.

Drove 4 hrs for concert in Hove, quick meal planned at 5pm. Drinks taken, waited for food order, said would be 30 m wait. After 90 mins of complaining etc we left without food. Waiter tried his best (even bought us nuts from local shop!) but seriously let down by appalling mismanagement. If they had told us no food, I would not be writing this review.

waited a couple of hours for our food and when it finally arrived, it was inedible. The pizza I ordered was so hard that I couldn't even cut through the base with a knife, very sparse toppings too. After complaining to the manager (who was absolutely clueless) we walked out. I would definitely not recommend this place. My friends' food orders were also terrible.

Complete chaos. Booked table, took 20 minutes to get drinks order. An hour later,asked where starter was and told it hadn’t been put through the kitchen... paid for drinks and left. Not before the manager came over and apologised as she was walking out the door with her coat and bag! A real shame!

5 of us had booked in for lunch, 1.5hrs to get some pizzas, when they finally came there was no tomato sauce base on some of them and they would need to be cut with a steak knife to actually eat them.

I've had a drink here once or twice before, there is a nice outside terrace. It has lovely quite elegant decor, the staff where friendly and attentive. This time i had a meal with family, lovely and fair value pasta dishes, I would definitely eat there again. It is also in a good position on Church Road, not too far from George Street shops or the seafront.

Visited Divino on two occasions whilst staying in Brighton. Although the exterior looks small, it does not feel cramped inside and has a lovely atmosphere. The vegetarian item we ordered was not available but the alternative was lovely and the chef did everything to accommodate us on both visits, which were only a couple of days apart. The waitress (unfortunately I have forgotten the name of this lovely Italian girl) was extremely efficient and very friendly, not only to us, but I noticed to all customers - she made everyone feel very welcome. Although we didn't have any cocktails, there were plenty on offer and most people seemed happy with them. I do not hesitate to recommend this lovely place. We are very fussy customers, so do not give praise lightly. I should add that it is also very good value for the food provided.

Sat out the front and watched the passing parade. The margaritas were ‘to die for’. The 3 of us enjoyed our meal, very tasty and filling. Staff were very friendly.

This is a great night for a romantic / classy cocktail and well priced food. I've been a couple of times and recommend the pasta dishes - went once for a roast dinner which wasn't great - but usually it's nice food.

A small wine bar but friendly staff and outstanding food and wine. The ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection and the wine, a pinot noir was excellent and very reasonably priced. Very well worth a visit.

Literally just finishing up the most amazing meal , excellent food, impeccably cooked, full assistance in allergies and wonderful attention from staff . Francesco head chef was very attentive with the service. Outstanding . Definitely will be coming back. Highly recommend the fillet steaks, seafood platter and basically everything on the menu! Went there for Sunday lunch. Variety of food options excellent. Before that had sparkling pink Italian wine which was champagne quality for half the price. Tricolore salad starter amazingly good. Waitress very professional and friendly. Fabulous lunchtime and afternoon...

Extremely unimpressed! I guess our table for 4 being the only table eating on a Thursday evening 3 weeks before Xmas, should have said it all! After returning my “ribeye” steak that was so marbled with sinew it was impossible to find a way in and replacing it with a risotto, I find it still being charged on my bill. Not a word of apology but a very rude “well you did have a risotto instead. Yes at half the price!! A follow up call to the manager was met with as much rudeness and an argument over the quality of the meat and a curt “well what do you want me to do” attitude. Don’t serve inedible meat, don’t pass it off as ribeye and definitely don’t try to charge for it. Won’t be back and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Visited here spontaneously for lunch today and am very happy that I did. Very well decorated, great outdoor seating and reasonably priced! I had a starter, main and cola for under £20! I will be a frequent customer for sure!

Last night we visited Divino for the first time, it will not be the last. Whoever was the interior designer for this restaurant made a wonderful job, beautiful ceilings with golden plasterwork and an overall feeling of luxury.

Went with my friend for a mid week lunch, nice day so we sat outside the front of the resturant, which was very sheltered. We had a very good lunch the food was excellent especially the goats cheese bruscetta. Will definitely be back

My partner and I went on a Tuesday evening noting how quickly the evenings are drawing in. The warmth and lighting in the restaurant soon cheered us up. Conveniently located close to the bus stops on Church road ensured safe journey home after the wine .

Enjoyed a lunchtime steak using a groupon. Food was beautifully presented, staff went out of their way to be helpful and polite; nice touches like opening the door for us when we were leaving. Sunny garden at the back and relaxing atmosphere with attention to detail. Our steaks were tender and cooked perfectly, mediterranean vegetables and delicious potatoes made a nice change from the usual mushroom and chips. Our desserts were equally tasty and with reasonable portion sizes. Unfortunately they had run out of olives for a starter and one dessert was unavailable.However, would definitely return ... a quality meal at a good price.

We both had steaks and champagne cooked to perfection, perfect size portions with very tasty roasted veg. Beautiful heated seating area outside. Beautiful modern decor. will definitely go back.

Fui con un grupo de alrededor de 8 en una semana. Inmediatamente impresionado por la mesa que había organizado para nuestro grupo. Era diminuto y todos nos sentimos un poco apretujadas. Cuando lo mencionamos, el camarero (que parecía senior) no parece preparado para hacer nada aunque el lugar estaba muerto con muchas mesas libres.

El estándar de la comida es excelente. El servicio es excelente, aunque no apabullantes o agresivos. He estado aquí en varias ocasiones y nunca he tenido un curso por debajo del estándar. Difícil elegir favoritos, ya que todo es bastante excepcional. La selección de vinos es muy amplia y de muy buena calidad. El comedor es muy relajante y las sillas de los mejores en cualquier restaurante Brighton Hove o - una delicia para comer aquí.

Elegimos Divino para una buena comida italiana y vino de calidad y no me decepcionó. Los camareros eran serviciales, disfrutando desenfadado con nosotros, haciendo bromas algunas recomendaciones excelentes. Para el bass especial sea el pescado estaba deshuesada expertamente entonces el rey también gambas peladas, deliciosa y muy sabroso para comer. Alrededor de 10 - 11 h el restaurante se abre para bebedores wine bar con una pista de baile de abajo para finales de los juerguistas para disfrutar hasta las 4 de la mañana. Gran lugar para comer y el jefe nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos, sin demasiado problema. La comida era de buena calidad y a un precio razonable. Muy recomendable.

We had taken note of the rather noisy Saturday evenings so decided to take Saturday lunch,we arrived late due to bad traffic conditions the young italian waitress put us at ease and was very knowledge on the menu items the three courses were very well presented,ample portions and well cooked.

Continuamente con grupos de Jostled chicos en el bar durante 45 minutos para nuestro plato principal y luego sólo para rematar una noche terrible que tuvimos que pedir al personal para expulsar dos hombres que estaban usando el idioma más espantoso y estaba a sólo 8. 30:00 h. Nunca más.

Iluminación y ambiente; combinación de menú es horrible. Gris o negro débil 6 punto en tipo de fondo oscuro; 40 vatio bombillas - o menos - alta en el techo encima. Cuando pedimos una linterna para leer el menú nos dijeron que el uso de la luz en nuestro smartphones. . . Cómo ese. Servicio de atención al cliente. Al final tuvimos que recurrir a preguntar al camarero que recitar de su memoria las bebidas que estaban en el menú. . Y él tenía que empujar para más, ya que parecía que había otras cosas, y estaban allí. Qué pérdida de tiempo para nosotros y para él.

Mi primera vez y quedé muy impresionado. El mozzarella fritos crujientes y era preciosa y la salsa de tomate justo. Mi filete era muy tierna y la salsa de uso casero fue mejor de lo esperado. Mi única crítica fue la verduras eran cocidas (pasada) o había sido colgado por un tiempo.

Paramos aquí para un poco de comida rápida. Mi marido y yo un plato de pasta que eran geniales, muy sabroso y abundante salsa. Fue una vez el martes almuerzo y sólo había una pareja de allí, así que el servicio era muy bueno y amable. Tiene un ambiente agradable y volveremos cuando esté en Hove.

Fui con amigos en una noche de sábado para bebidas como se recomendó para ser un buen lugar para ir. Muy decepcionados, para ser honesto. El lugar estaba lleno con 2 enormes fiestas de cumpleaños, nada de asiento. El personal era lamentable, casi ninguna palabra, actitud, no sonríen, inútil. La próxima vez quiero una copa con mis amigos me voy a otro sitio, donde los clientes son bienvenidos. No en absoluto.

Mi amigo y yo fuimos allí para el vino y terminamos de decidir para conseguir comida así, nos pidió cuatro entrantes para compartir. Los champiñones ajo era divino, y los antipasti y gambas eran preciosas. Tuvimos el Pinot Grigio, Rose, que era muy buena, normalmente no uno para postres pero cuando el menú venía sonaba bien, así que lo hicimos. Tuve el soufflé de chocolate blanco, que era increíble! El bar en sí está muy bien decorada y tiene la mejor zona fuera jamás si fumas como nosotros! Muy bonito. Y el personal muy atento, estamos es difícil conseguir un buen servicio como eso. Muy amable y acogedor. No puedo esperar a volver para algunas bebidas. Ah, y el mejor espresso martini he probado

Popped in for a cocktail and I was really impressed. Their take on the Pornstar Martini was fabulous, and the service was really friendly. They couldn't do enough. Will definitely be back for dinner.

Habíamos reservado una mesa, pero por algún motivo Divino tenía un problema con la reserva. Sin embargo, en el lugar en el que se disculpó y no mejor cena. La comida increíble y muy bueno. Cosas es tan bienvenida y agradable. Gracias por un buen tiempo y volveré seguro

i popped in with my friend passing by remembered i get a lovely 10% disscount on all food and drinks! so we ordered 2 large glasses of rosa and saved ourselves a nice little number :) would highly recommend this deal!

Well I must admit after a few wine bars I found Divino Restaurant and wine bar what a lovely clean and friendly helpful place.nice background music you can sit outside in the front or the small back area well worth a visit.will be back

Fue casi 9 o'clock el domingo por la noche cuando, después de perderse en las calles de atrás, finalmente alcanzado el Divino. Nos hundida en la desesperación, ya que parecía cerrado, pero el camarero apareció y nos dio la bienvenida en este restaurante atractivo como único cliente en una hora tarde que sirviera. El chef estaba a punto de salir, pero que sin embargo tomó nuestra orden y ambos nos obsequiaron con una bien preparada, bien presentado y cena más agradable con vino. Eso es lo que llamo un buen servicio.

Estábamos celebrando una ocasión muy importante con un querido amigo, pero terminamos saliendo después de esperar para comida para más de una hora y media. Podría haber sido solucionado sólo el personal era tan espectacular que no podía estar allí groseros. Nunca he salimos de cualquier antes. Volver nunca.

Vine aquí en una noche de miércoles a las 7pm para mis amigos era comida de cumpleaños que reservar con antelación. No hay muchas personas en este momento, sin embargo, el personal es muy lento y no hablan inglés. Las bebidas nunca llegó, así que tuve que ir a recordarles. Nadie vino a tomar nuestro pedido, a pesar de efectuar contacto visual con la camarera. Finalmente nos llevamos nuestros pedidos.
