Zizzi - Brighton in Brighton and Hove

As always- a very nice meal at Zizzi’s in the Brighton Lanes before the theatre. Took advantage of my Zillionaire’s Club freebie Cocktail. Nice atmosphere, food and great service from Sophie W. She was cheerful, helpful and efficient.

Casi siempre comemos en Zizzi, ya que nos gusta mucho el interior y el ambiente, a menudo tomamos una copa en los encantadores jugadores de cricket al otro lado de la carretera El 13 de febrero volvimos a visitar Zizzi para una cena. Nuestro servicio fue genial de principio a fin sobre todo de nuestra camarera. Ambos tuvimos el Stufato que era muy agradable. Cuando liquidamos la factura tuvimos 2 descuentos separados que presentamos. El primero fue Blue Light, que era simple, el segundo fue un descuento de tarjeta de regalo de terceros. Nuestra camarera fue incapaz de procesar esto, pero fue increíblemente paciente y decidido. Finalmente pidió ayuda al gerente. Él de nuevo fue igualmente decidido y paciente con nosotros, intentó muchas maneras de completar el proceso antes de finalmente encontrar una solución. Simplemente no podía culpar a este servicio al cliente, habíamos tomado una gran parte de su tiempo, pero eran tan profesionales en el trato con nosotros. Zizzi tiene suerte de tener gente así en su fuerza de trabajo. Gracias.

Great service, very friendly staff and never disappointed (on the contrary) with the pizzas on the menu. Always a pleasure 🙂

Julia and Lukas, have been soooo helpful and accommodating they made me feel at home and very comfortable, honestly one of the best services in my life they’re honestly the best staff the food was amazing, the drinks were also amazing. I will definitely be back here when they’re here, thank you julia and lukas.

We just had a pleasant meal at Zizzi, Brighton. Our server, Natalia, was very nice and efficient. The pasta dishes were very nice. Desserts were ok, but didn't really match the menu descriptions or photos. The 'warm' black forest melt was cold and there was very little cream with it. See the photo. The menu picture against what I actually got! To be fair, Natalia then offered me an alternative dessert. The food delivery was fairly slow on what was a quiet night.

Great restaurant in Brighton, simple but effective. Room service provided by JULIA, lovely, smiling and helpful. I recommend.

Most wonderful experience at Brighton ZiZZi Food was wonderful both fish main dish cook to perfection as I am very perticular but I can not fault anything in standard of food taste of food and presentation of food all was 10/10 Service was second to none from most wonderful young girl Natalia who was very calm well spoken and on the spot keeping an eye all the time and providing highest level of service with care and respect without being on top of the table like they do in Ivy Asia don’t even let you eat food without someone just standing next to your table all the time 😩😩 Natalia was perfect waitress and ZiZZi should never loose her. We were sitting on top level with few tables and that was very quite and lovely for couple as not noisy and had nice view overlooking pubs so you can’t get bored 😂 Thank you ZiZZi we came after 5 years but it won’t be long before we make a visit soon. ❤️🎉🥳

This restaurant is delightful. Excellent food at reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. Nice to find somewhere with excellent service and where conversation is not drowned out by loud music. The starters came quickly and were very tasty. I can recommend the arancini and the auberine balls. The mains are generous and we could only manage once dessert between us - the afogato, which was delicious.

Visiting as a party of 10 yesterday evening, for a birthday celebration. I could not have been more taken back by the care and provision provided by the team. Jordan the head chef visited our table personally to ensure our childs allergy was supported during our visit . Not only did he return, multiple times ,allowing me to check ingredients personally but this was done with the kindest manner and consideration. We will definitely be returning again for another visit. Our child for the first time was able to feel fully present with the dinning out experience. Waitress (sorry I did not catch your name) was also just as ameanable and caring . Thank you !!

Shocking. Won’t be going back. Didn’t have half the items on the menu. My pasta was warm not hot and so oily I had to send it back. The garlic bread with cheese and onions was so burnt we couldn’t eat it and had to get it re done. Our passionfruit sparkling drinks were flat. And to top it off I was over charged and then told they couldn’t refund me the difference!

Julia’s service was efficient and warm, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality. I can’t recommend her enough – she truly made our visit special. I’ve not been to Zizzi for about 10 years, but last night we thought we’d give it a go. The whole experience was diabolical and they sealed us never returning again. It was a Saturday night, the last one before Christmas. When we arrived there was a queue for a table. Which was understandable, the server was outside snogging a uber eats driver! She then proceeded to push past the queue with a ‘the quicker you let me through, the quicker I can show you to your seats’ she then vanished for about 5 minutes to get changed. We had booked a table and we were 5 minutes early for our booking, we ended up being seated 10 minutes after our booking as they had to find a table and clean it. The restaurant really wasn’t busy for a Saturday night but despite this the service was terrible from start to finish. We were seated next to another couple, the gentleman clearly had Covid or something similar as he had a hacking cough. Not the restaurants fault, but if you’re in hospitality you could have been aware of this and sat us elsewhere. I went to order my starter and main and both were unavailable - the server said we should have been told this when we were seated… yes, we agree we should have. So, I ordered alternatives to what I wanted. Then our main meals came out before our starters… not once, but twice we had to send them away. I had the mozzarella bombe, this was underwhelming. Barely any mozzarella and was just really a piece of garlic pizza. When the mains came out, mine was stone cold! We suspect that mine was just left to one side until we had finished our starters. Rather than made fresh. We sent this back and it did come back piping hot - but the portion was barely fit for a child and being that it’s nearly £20, it was overpriced. All in all a truly terrible experience and we will be sticking to independent restaurants that actually care about customers in the future.

I’m a regular customer at Zizis, I live in Portsmouth and regularly visit the zizis in Bournemouth and always have an enjoyable experience but when I went to the one in Brighton it was like going into a different restaurant chain. The service was awful and we were left waiting for quite some time even though they were not busy, the food items we ordered were not available and these were advertised all around the restaurant as the seasonal favourites. I was very disappointed with the whole experience.

I would recommend that the staff are advised what dishes are not available so that customers do not choose what they want to eat and then are rushed to find alternatives.This happened today with the Christmas menu ,main courses and deserts,also my brucetta was impossible to cut,would not recommend Zizzi.

We celebrated our wedding monthanniversary and we’re served by Julia. Gosh, this girl knows her customer service! Not only she was super friendly, but also very knowledgable about her menu and was a delightful addition to our special night out. Probably the worst meal I’ve ever had. Set Christmas menu which was ordered well in advance, yet starter most people had ordered was unavailable plus one of the mains. Starter alternatives were nice. Mains all came out cold and the assistant manager gave attitude saying it was because we weren’t at our table when it came out (I went to the toilet and was no longer than 5 minutes). My main was reheated but was not enjoyable at all. Dessert was average and didn’t match the description on the menu. Waiters miserable and all need retraining. From someone who has worked with customers for 14 years, I found this terrible! Avoid at all costs!

Iain and Adam were EXCEPTIONAL hosting a last minute 6-person 30th birthday party. They were attentive, personable and made our whole evening so memorable! Thank you both and your team for making our evening so special - we will be back and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Had lasagne today such a shame as food here is normally good . The portion was small for a main and didn’t look 6 layers ! The lasagne was burnt on the bottom and continued to cook as the dish was so hot !

LOVE IT AT ZIZZIS The food, drinks and service was amazing. Was here on a date with my partner and couldn’t have picked a better place. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was lovely. The restaurant was clean, service was fast and the food was very tasty. Though quite while we were there, we felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience, music and refreshments. The drinks were great and price was adequate. Great place for a date night!!!

Ordered some filled donuts. Only to be met by frozen hard lumps. I understand not homemade in a process kitchen but to send them out straight from the freezer is a joke. Called the restaurant who advised to let them thaw!!!
