We had been looking forward to try the food here for a while after having the excellent teas and coffee and great service from the excellent staff. I now wish we hadn't bothered. We were told there was a 10-15 minute wait on food orders which was fine so we ordered the meatballs and pasta. 40 minutes passed and after prompting the food arrived. Luke warm pasta with a mediocre sauce and 3 tiny meatballs,for £10.50. A vastly underwhelming experience we will not be repeating.

I went in with my twin toddlers midday 25/2/24 and staff were so helpful and friendly, they got the high chairs for us and put them at our table, warned us when the blender was about to be used in case our girls didn’t like it and helped us locate a thrown dummy and rinsed it for us when it was found. Thank you to the lovely, friendly staff. And lovely food too!

My wife and I decided to try this cafe and wished we never sat down. Due to complete fug had to sit in walkway just on boundary. Menu read well-have no idea why so extensive when any cooking/preparation is only done right at the back of premises. One of us chose the"homemade"lasagne-other chose spaghetti bologneise. The first choice was a total confusion-never had that dish anywhere on cold plate;normally in a cast iron dish served very hot.This was a slab of solid pasta with a sprinkling of meat on top with a bizarre sauce on base plus some salad.The other choice had no parmesan cheese-when arrived it was in a small screw type jar that one has marmalade in a hotel-it certainly was not freshly made-when lid was taken off out jumped a lively insect which could not be caught!!Jar and lid needed a good wash. Suggest they give up serving other than pizzas as a total disgrace and not fit for purpose let alone cheap .Came to £17.50 which not cheap. Very extensive coffees and pastries which rather made our meal so odd.

Well we’re do I start! Decided on a last minute breakfast with my wife, so we headed to tony piccante. We arrived to a delightful young waitress, very friendly and polite, she took our orders and they were related to mr piccante. 20 mins later, my wife’s order arrived but no sign of my full English, anyway I politely inquired about this, mr piccante had totally forgotten to cook my breakfast, even though the young waitress was heard by me and my wife, telling him what the orders were Anyway no apology was giving by mr piccante and he started blaming the poor young waitress, I was not happy with this behaviour, especially in a busy restaurant, I explained he was in the wrong and I no longer wanted the breakfast because I was not happy at this point! And my wife was made to look stupid eating alone, anyway I agreed to have the breakfast, which was thrown together in minutes and quite honestly, looked like dreadful! He continued to lay into this poor young waitress, we finished and told him we were far from happy! He offered us discount but we refused, as we didn’t want anything from him! This guy is a nasty piece of work, who bully’s his staff and seems to get off on it! Please avoid like the plague, the staff are lovely but this guy is a piece of work!

Do not go here- AVOID AT ALL COSTS we waited ages for our food when it arrived it was horrible! Wouldn’t recommend restaurant as it looked dirty and I wouldn’t be surprised to find they have rats- saw some naw marks near the door- but could be another customer waiting for food too! Avoid at all costs save your money and go somewhere else!! Macdonalds give a better quality of food than here and they have toilets!!

It's probably of the best calzones i ever had . Everyone was happy and friendly. What a service is definitely going back and bringing more family as well. Thanks, guys

The food was okay, service was fast and efficient. Tables cramped, so you feel like you are eating with people at another table and are part of their conversation although you don't want to be. The chef was rude to one of the waitresses and behind her back talked about how she "pis*es* him off. And in general acted like a toddler throwing having a tantrum because he did not like how she's written an order on the piece of paper...

Came here mid morning for the first time today. Very nice coffee and tea with a nice bacon sandwich. Lunch menu looks good so will try that another time. Cakes looked good too!

Decided to have a late breakfast and the obvious place was Tony Piccante's in the Langney Centre. As usual the food was top quality as was the service. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

First time going, only had a coffee and a cannoli but it was delicious, and lovely atmosphere. We plan to go back for lunch soon.

Best pizza in Eastbourne area , probably best in Sussex if not all the UK

Really nice and relaxing place to eat and have a coffee..

Booked a table, had my booking confirmed, arrived at the correct time to a closed restaurant and endlessly ringing phone. Left out in the cold and wet with limited alternatives. Hugely disappointed and frustrated that you couldn't be bothered to inform us you were closed.

Friendly and helpful girls served us. We had Pizza, ice cream and sweets. Reasonable price but real Italian food!! Sweets were a bit too sweet. You will need strong coffee! It’s so hard to find good pizza place in the UK! This place is the worth travelling!! We aren’t local, but definitely go back for! Highly recommend!

Popped in on a whim and had some delicious food! It was a nice, quiet place until we showed up and my daughter ordered a milkshake, meaning the blenders were turned on, destroying the peace for the other patrons. They didn't seem to mind too much thankfully and my daughter got to enjoy "the best milkshake I've ever had". She may have loved it. Lovely staff, good food and the best milkshake my daughter has ever had! Can you ask for more? Oh, and the prices are very reasonable too! Will definitely visit again 😁

Really enjoyed our meal here, lovely authentic Italian food, clean restaurant and friendly staff. We had a calzone, cheesy pepperoni pasta and ham, mushroom and cream pasta. They were all delicious and well worth the price (was wasn’t expensive at all!) Loved that we could see the calzone cooking in the pizza oven too. Decent sized cappuccino, not a tiny cup like you often get in restaurants.

such lovely service, i ordered a veggie calizone but asked for without mushrooms and i was informed it's a big part of the veggie one and kindly offered to put more of something else or add something to it to make it more full with no fuss. quick service and just overall a lovely atmosphere.

Very friendly, suggested that we change to a bigger table when we ordered food (we just initially went in for coffee so sat at the sofas) when the plates arrived I could see why. Had calzone (yum) and offered to substitute an item from the calzone which I asked to remove. Couldn't finish as so big, was given a box to take the remainder home. Would go back. Very obliging.

Just had a very good breakfast.

Not the best service. Popped in for a light bite, lunch menu’s all over the tables… we asked if we could still order from this menu as we couldn’t see a time on them, friendly waitress said she would ask for us to which we overheard the owner (and chef) reject the request as it was for ‘breakfast and lunch only’… a bit strange as the menus are still on the tables? We watch another couple leave for the very same reason. So instead we just order hot drinks as we didn't want a full meal, again, we overhear the owner ask the waitress what we were having to which she replied we were only ordering drinks and then hear ‘Really?’. A friendly suggestion would be to remove any time limited menu’s that you are not looking to make for customers and avoid talking about them when they are across the room from you!

Popped in whilst on the way to a meeting just wanting a coffee, glad Costa was closed! Coffee was great, nice atmosphere, lovely friendly and helpful staff and ended up grabbing a bite to eat too! Food was great, very cheap and honestly exceeded any expectations! A really pleasant stop and just sad I don't have this close to where I live as I'd be a regular for sure! A truly lovely Italian cafe, only downside is I couldn't get to try more food!

It was very busy the day I went so it may explain why the experience wasn't great. We ordered 4 drinks, 3 of them were cold, so we asked to change them, which was done with no fuss. We also ordered food and this is where the main problem lie. We only had a very small table, so couldn't fit the plates on, also I ordered a full English and ended up balancing my plate on my lap, again the food was not hot but just wanted to finish and leave by this point. As I said, they were busy, maybe that was the cause?

A lovely, independent retailer selling delicious coffee and an amazing range of sweet treats at very reasonable prices. I chose a flat white and a rocky road, the latter being just £1.50 and really tasty. The coffee was well prepared too and service was good. Not tried anything off main menu but will do on another visit.

I have never met such a rude and arrogant manager as I have today at Tony Picante, the way he talks to his young staff is awful and also the customers, then will go on to discuss customers in the kitchen like he cannot be heard (not just us) the food it’s self was ok but the hygiene is poor constantly on his phone when handling food and using his hands to plate the food. When we confronted him regarding his manner he became very aggressive and surprised also implying it was because he was Italian and we were English yet we are regulars at simply Italian in the harbour who are are so friendly and lovely so this isn’t the case! Judging by some of these reviews people also agree!!

The only criticism is that the menus were left on the tables not laminated , which some people were using as place mats , the table I was sitting at had coffee on the menu and food , not really hygienic , had to ask for the table to be wiped , the food was very nice and the young ladies were very pleasant .

Don’t use The Fork to book. We didn’t know the area so thought we’d come up trumps with a 5 star restaurant. We turned up and they were closed. No text or email to say there was a problem with the booking.

After all the great reviews was so disappointed with the langney branch. Waited ages to be served then overheard the chef complaining about the fact we wanted our starter first. Main took ages and then they forgot part of our order and said the chef was too overwhelmed to cook it all together - no apology - pizza was good but because of chef making us feel like an inconvenience we won’t be back - edit you did not appear happy about the starter I heard you plus you haven’t even acknowledged what else I have said so I think that says it all plus we didn’t feel welcome at all.

Had the all day breakfast due not being allowed to eat carbs! Asked if I could have an extra sausage in place of the beans toast and hash browns that I can’t have, didn’t get the extra sausage and then couldn’t eat the eggs because they were too snotty, I don’t mind a little snotty but these were awful! So I got bacon, 1 sausage, tinned mushrooms and tomatoes for £6.95! Coffee was lovely though! Not that impressed and don’t think I’d chose to go there again!

We went here as Costa was only doing takeaways that day. We saw they did breakfasts so we thought we would give it a go as you do. It was ok we won't be going back though

Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in, gives you an authentic Italian feel... Nice comfortable seating and the staff were very attentive... once the food arrived the presentation was excellent and the food itself was exceptional...if you are looking for great food and atmosphere this is a must

I visit this place every time I come to Eastbourne to visit and every time, I leave satisfied. The food is nice and fresh, the staff is always friendly and the homemade tiramisu is amazing. Highly recommended!

Very friendly atmosphere , a pizza was being prepared in front my eyes , the chef is in food contact with customers , Lacey the waitress patiently took order with smile on Her face ( one of our friends does not eat park) , me and my friends will definitely come back again....!!!!!!!

Working in the area, visited local Tesco and came across this place inside the shopping centre. Had the best ham and mushroom I have ever had. A traditional stone baked pizza, literally better than I experienced in Italy itself. The locals in Eastbourne should be packing this place out.

Four of us went for breakfast on Sunday, nice breakfast, good quality ingredients, bacon and sausage were tasty. Only criticism toast was hard.

Due to allergies I find it tricky eating out but had such helpful information about items I could eat off their menu from the restaurant before I booked a table. Food was fresh, the staff were lovely and attentive and had a great sense of humour too. No loud blaring music either, which meant that my friend and I could have a proper catch up, whilst eating a really delicious handmade pizza :)

Had the all day breakfast..yes I know not very Italian but...first off I ordered a large latte coffee..which came quick and was excellent..which made me find the food will be good, and it was! I will return as soon as I can for another meal..and will eat some Italian food Lol.. highly recommended..

Well if you like pasta cooked authentically and a proper Napolitan pizza this is the place to go. The dough is light and the tomato sauce is tasty and you can really taste the freshness. Mozzarella has its own flavour, not like the rubbery tasteless they use anywhere else I had pizza from. The staff is super friendly and attentive, entertaining the customers like in Italy people do. We had sea food n Napolitan street food starters and an XL pizza to share with a delicious house red wine and it was absolutely spot on. A lil chat with the guys and coffee n dessert was an easy decision. Can't wait to go back! Best pizza and pasta in the whole Eastbourne, no doubts!

We had first pizza from there tonight awful.cold dry toppings cheese not melted bad bad thought a Italian could make pizza.my mother was Italian and hers was fab.37pound down the drain never again

Awful. The chef was chatting for around half an hour instead of cooking our paninis (which takes a couple of minutes), and there were no other customers. The food was dire; £5 tuna Mayo panini with no seasoning, and £5 chicken Caesar panini with a watery, tasteless Mayo sauce and tiny pieces of chicken. The paninis were also made from cheap baguette bread, not proper ciabatta. Honestly we should have gone to Costa; their tuna melts etc are around the same price but vastly superior.
