We were visiting Eastbourne and found this place on Google maps. We ordered a Roasted Veg Pizza, it was well presented and very nice. The service was good and much better value than the central restaurants. I recommend this place.

Found this group restaurant on our last trip to Eastbourne, and top of our list for a re-visit. As before delicious pizzas and great service. Make sure you book to avoid disappointment!

Nice venue. Cute. We had a margherita and a Calzone Spanapoli with two beers together with a children's menu consisting of a small margherita and a juice. For dessert, a tiramisu. The margherita didn't particularly impress us while we really liked the calzone. The tiramisu is also good.

Vegan pizzaaaaaa!!!! Omg so delicious. Also the gardenia salad. My husband is not vegan and he said it was “so-so”. It’s worth a try in my opinion 👌

We have been to all of Rusticos restaurants as we love their pizzas! Authentic Italian food. Friendly staff that let our daughter test the pepperoni before we ordered to see how spicy it was. Lovely fresh ingredients, cold drinks AND cold glasses! Only marked down on atmosphere as sadly we were the only people at midday lunch, this place should be packed as great food from an independent business. We went back a few days later as we liked it so much! And wanted to try different dishes. Garlic pizza bread starter was great to share as a family. My son tried the carbonara too and loved it. Tiramisu cocktail was delicious and puddings all delicious too. Sadly too far from our home for us to go more often!

We really liked this simple Italian pizza house. Quiet, good music and very tasty pizzas. The drinks are also very affordable. Do you want simple food and fast and friendly service? Do not hesitate ...

Probably won't rush back there, I had meatballs and felt they were processed and shop bought, and the base of the tiramisu was soggy.

We visited at lunch time just after the opened hence the atmosphere star but by the time we were leaving it would be 5. Everything was excellent, the menu, food and especially the wonderful service. We pushed the boat out for a lunch time including drinks and getting the bill still left me smiling. We will be going again. Thanks to all at Rustica

We went to Eastbourne town center and found this walking distance good Italian restaurant. The pizza were fresh and delicious!!! They all freshly made after ordering.

Had been meaning to eat here for some time and it was totally worth it. We went on a quiet day (Monday) so the service was prompt and friendly throughout. Ordered two Aperol Spritz's which were a bit weak but this was happily remedied on request. The pizzas were absolutely fabulous (the Ortolana deserves special mention) and the pistachio cannoli was crisp and generously filled really hitting the sweet spot washed down with an espresso. Would happily recommend and will be back to try more items on the menu.

Rustico serves really nice Italian food with multiple vegan options including pasta, pizzas and cheese cake for desert. The man who served us was very friendly and checked in regularly. The music was good too. I would go here again 😊

I love eating here. A friend recommended Rustico to us and it was such a nice restaurant, that it has encouraged us to come out to eat more often and ditch the mass produced pizza deliveries. We tried the new menu carbonara this week and it was the best pasta, I have ever eaten. The pizzas are also great and made with delicious bases.

Popped in for quick lunch on a Saturday. I ordered a pizza with extra topping. Hubby ordered a calzone type pizza. Both tasty, hot and didn’t take long. Coke was delivered in cans which I prefer as properly fizzy. Atmosphere is fun , warm, with character. Would be perfect as a group drinking and laughing on an evening.

Fantastic little hidden gem, not too large inside which makes it nice and cosy, the pizzas are very good quality.

Having been to the one in Bexhill and having ordered many times from the Eastbourne branch, they haven't missed so far, good quality Italian cuisine, with a lot more variety with their traditional Italian dishes, compared to many larger chains I've been to and is quite decently priced. ps. If you have a sweet tooth, you've got to try their Nutella Tiramisu, it's to die for, and please never remove this item from the menu

Last night get last mins to get a table and get to eat . The waitress are nice friendly.

Great pizza cooked in pizza oven. Excellent choice and very good value. Relaxed dining experience good for all ages families and groups. Only critism i have is my clothes smelt of chip oil following our visit. Apart from that I would definitely eat here again and recommend it for excellent pizza and good value for money.

Wonderful food, lovely staff, very reasonable price

have a warm and inviting atmosphere with a rustic decor that complements the delicious food. The menu has unique pizza toppings, as well as appetizers and salads, The ingredients were fresh and the pizza crust were crispy and flavorful. Additionally, friendly and attentive service The last one service was much more quicker even than McDonalds.

Stopped here for a late meal last night, very friendly place with a good selection of items on the menu. Service was quick and the food tasted great. Dog friendly which is a plus. One note though, it would be nice to finish off the pasta dishes in the pizza oven, just to crisp up the top a bit, for more texture. Other than that, all good. Thanks.

Ordered around 40 pizzas for a party. Collection. Food was delicious. I was really pleased with the service. Team were excellent.

The pizza was exactly what I expected an Italian pizza to be. Having had authentic Italian pizza for 2 years before moving to the UK this is exactly what I expected from an Italian place. Took me right back to where I was before I moved. Definitely would return (I’ve returned already). I recommend. I’ve never eaten in yet only just take out but I definitely plan on eating in.

The pizza was delicious and worth dining here just for the pizzas. The salads were sub par and they're unnecessarily served with a ridiculously large amount of lettuce. The waiting service was lovely.

I've dined here a couple of times recently, and both experiences were outstanding. It's the only spot in Eastbourne where I've found authentic Neapolitan pizza. Not only does it taste fantastic, but it's also reasonably priced. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is great.

Being Italian I’m very fussy about my pizzas . Looking on line the photos of pizzas look good but I’m afraid taste is more important and this place is a bit of a let down. Pizza base not crispy, it’s too doughy , tomato sauce is very bland and so are the toppings. Looks good but taste is very bland . Shame as I really wanted to like it but just can’t. Unfortunately the Tiramisu was just as bland . It’s not just a case of having a proper wood fired oven, you need top ingredients to make the perfect pizzas

Apparently this is a small chain. They should grow as the pizza was best we've had in ages. Cheap house wine, drunk from tooth mugs etc. Rustic indeed, and lovely!

Went for pizza with my son and dog. Pizza is incredible! The vegan pizza I had was amazing and my son loved his margarita pizza and the dog loved the crusts, the dog treats the staff gave him. The staff are really friendly and we're great with my son who is really social and wants to chat to everyone. Especially Imogen our waitress who was great. Thank you, we will be back again and again and again 😃

We went to Rustico Eastbourne, yesterday, with friends; total 2 adults, 3 children. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Lovely vegan salad as I have food intolerances, but they did also have other options I could choose from. Rustico do lovely gluten free pizza bases, from previous visits to Hastings and Ore sites. Our server in Eastbourne Rustico was Imogen. She was genuinely warm towards us on our arrival and throughout and was very happy to help us with any questions or requests we had, without imposing. The food was hot and didn't take long at all. We loved that we could see the pizzas cooking in the pizza oven, that went down very well with the kids. Based on this visit we will return again when we're next in Eastbourne.

The pizza was very good, one of the best pizzas in the UK for me so far. Pizza Regina was a bit better than pizza Cannibale. The Aperol and limoncello spritz were average, it seemed like they poured some cheap alternatives instead of real Prosecco. The staff created mixed feelings for me - some members were polite and friendly while the rest were neutral. The hygiene deserved some improvement - the tables were absolutely sticky. Overall I would come there for pizza but would refrain from ordering anything else

Food and service was good. Staff were friendly. Didn't see the server washing hands between handling menus then pizza toppings. Also touching meat then veg. This practice is probably normal but it was in clear view of diners.

One of the best and freshest pizzas I've ever had and our waiter Lucas was wonderful! Very accommodating and treated us exceptionally well. It was a pleasure and we will certainly be returning.

Great pizza place that makes sourdough style pizzas. I had a davilia which was very spicy and a coke which came to about 13 pounds. The service was fast and I had no issues getting a table.. My service dog was welcome and the staff very welcoming. I will definitely come. Back to get their calzone.

Lovely place, delicious food (starters, mains and drinks). Tuna salad and calzone pizza are from another world. Really nice atmosphere and music (Italian style). Garlic oil was very tasty. Very nice, attentive and professional server - Lucas (5 stars service). Our Labrador Lilly was also happy with bowl of fresh water and treats. We will definitely be coming back again soon.

Brilliant restaurant. Everything was as good as what you would eat in Italy. And it's dog friendly. The prices were less than what you pay for such a good restaurant in London. Great service too

Disappointed, cook/chef looked miserable and not hygienic.i won't be returning unless things change for the better. Main meal was OK but cooked in microwave. Atmosphere of the place cosy and my server Imegan was attentive and polite.

This is a regular spot for us as they do the best pizza in town! We always have the same pepperoni pizzas and a bottle of house red - always friendly and quick service and great value. We only book if we go with friends, otherwise walk in and we’ve always been able to get a table. Love the relaxed vibe.

Rustico has a great atmosphere complimented by a highly professional and friendly staff. Gavin sees to it that guests are seated and served promptly. The pizzas are enormous and perfect.

Went on a rare occasion for my wife and I - a lunch out, without the kids. It was a bright sunny day, the front of the restaurant was open and we enjoyed a pizza and some light bites between us. We really enjoyed the platter of stuffed olives, cheese bites and croquettes, plus a small pizza from the lunch menu. The portions were good and it was plenty for lunch. The £4.95 tasty little caramelised onion pizza was especially good value. I'd recommend this place to anyone for a reasonably priced lunch, and the staff were very welcoming. It was so good I ordered takeaway pizza a couple of days later for the family, and my fussy kids ate their Margherita - high praise indeed!

This was a takeaway and to be honest it was nearly inedible. The food was stone cold , the pizza was burnt around the edges and the base wet and soggy in the middle, the puttanesca pasta tasted like it had been thrown into a supermarket tomato sauce (no olives or capers as detailed). The desserts were awful! Will never ever order from this restaurant again!

It was meant to be a quick bite on a pit stop at Eastbourne but it turn out to be brilliant experience. The pizzas ere delicious with vegan options, great selections of Italian juices and attentive service. The rustico pizza is a must try!

Rustico serves up some authentic Neapolitan pizzas in a beautifully decorated environment with a pleasnt atmosphere. We were well looked after by Keri who was attentive and friendly. Good local Italian bottled beers and a fine selection of homemade deserts. This place is worth a visit if you're in the area.

My sister, daughter and nieces nephews and granddaughter all said they had a great time. With the children making their own pizzas. And the staff all going out of their way to make it an enjoyable experience.

A group of us went for a family lunch. The children were so excited they could make their own pizzas. The staff were super friendly and attentive to everyone, my son said his pizza was ‘the one’. All the food was piping hot when it came to the table and it was amazing.

Absolutely amazing afternoon! I took my daughter with some family to do pizza making. My daughter is autistic and uses a disability chair. The restaurant were very accommodating and made sure there was room at the end of our table to leave the chair. The staff were very friendly and the whole experience was very inclusive. Would really recommend to anyone the pizza and service were 10/10 it was a fantastic afternoon :)

Me and my Husband love the pizzas! The best bases. A proper Italian pizza!

We love the Rustico restaurants - my husband is part-Italian so he has very high standards when it comes to food, and especially Italian food. When I rang to book, I explained that our sons have fairly significant Autism. They were really wonderful. They not only accommodated our son's request for a topping not on the menu, but they asked if we wanted a table in the quieter area of the restaurant (which we did). The food is amazing - the pizzas are massive, but everything else was at appropriately-sized portions, (but there is cost of living crisis and a war on, you know). We came away really full, and the value for money was exceptional. The staff took time to talk to the birthday boy so he felt really special as well. If I could give them a 10/10 it would still be 10. Also - we worked out that we'd probably would have paid far more for fewer items had we gone to a (mentioning no name) national chain pizzeria.
