I’ve travelled the world, lived in Italy, and eaten pasta in places where they really know how to do it — but never in my life have I come across anything as disappointing as the “Spaghetti with King Prawns and Pork” from this place. Let’s start with the so-called king prawns — calling them that is a joke. They were clearly the cheapest frozen prawns you can buy, rubbery and tasteless. And then mixing pork with pasta and prawns? That’s not just a bad culinary idea, it’s borderline offensive. Pork with seafood in pasta is a combo that doesn’t work — for the taste buds or the stomach. It’s the kind of pairing that can leave you with serious abdominal discomfort. And to top it off, this bizarre creation is the most expensive item on their special menu? Almost £30 for something I wouldn’t even give to a dog. Honestly, I expected much better. This dish is a disaster — avoid at all costs.

Myself and my family visited the Basildon branch of muffin break 11/4/25 We all asked for bacon rolls with drinks . Then to be told by two staff members they no longer sell them only chicken sausage rolls. So I said you dont sell pork there reply was no . Why do the staff change the menu due to their beliefs. What about the customers. We’ve as a family have been going there as a treat for a while . But won’t bother anymore . Greggs it is then

We flew in to London from Barcelona late on a Sunday night. We were desperately trying to find a place to have a cocktail and a bite to eat. We walked to three different pubs near our hotel and they all turned us away. We were about to give up when we saw the lights twinkling in front of Giovanni on Yeomans Road. Throwing caution to the wind we went in. We were welcomed with open arms, even though the restaurant was obviously winding up for the evening. We had great martinis, appetizers, and a wonderful time. The crab salad, carpaccio and the soup were off the hook. Definitely try the orange crème brûlée, very subtle orange flavor. Our waiter Andres made it a special night.

The best Sunday lunch I have had in a long time. So good that if it was on my doorstep I would never do a roast dinner again. I loved that they did small portions (not that small ) and more than enough. The staff and locals were very friendly and helpful. A memorable afternoon. We will be back.

Disappointingly tiny portions of really quite simple yet overpriced food. If it was only one of those factors, it could be forgiven, but all three is a shame. Didn’t have any wine which was the only thing that kept the price down. Wouldn’t recommend it to others.
