The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Wanted try this place for long time, but unfortunately was really disappointed about the main meal. Ordered focaccina barese and parmigiana. Focaccia was absolutely delicious. Fresh and nicely crispy. Little bit salty - but I usually put lots of salt on everything as well. So was okay for me. But the parmigiana was soo salty, that I couldn’t eat more than two spoons. And as I said, I put lots of salt on everything. But this was far too much even for me.

Absolutely amazing restaurant, food was great but service was even better, the man who welcomes you into the restaurant was so nice to us and managed to squeeze us in at a very busy time, saved us so much time and stress, fantastic staff and restaurant, highly recommended

We are regular customers and La Perla is the only takeaway in Beverley that we order from. All fresh and delicious. Highly recommended

Pretty good carbonara, wine options and the desserts are just amazing. Best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Great Italian food in London!

What you expect from the chain but amazing venue and lovely team

An abysmal experience. Terrible service. Won’t visit again. The waitress wasn’t attentive. We waited way too long even for water. Then she served food without serving plates or cutlery. We were four people in the group and we had 2 sets of cutlery. The food was mediocre at best. The garlic pizza bread was incredibly salty and oily. Prices do not reflect their service or quality of food.

We had the best experience visiting Zizzi this weekend. They saved the day for us!! 5 adults & 6 children - we were struggling to get into anywhere to eat. We asked at Zizzi and they couldn't do enough to help us. They were obviously busy but fitted us into a booth and added a table. They even apologized that the table wasn't what they normally have - we didn't mind at all. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious and Renata our waitress was fantastic - really patient and kind with the children and all of us. We'll definitely be booking here next time. Can't recommend this place enough ❤️

Our first time back since the refurb! Really like the fresh clean look, but the best thing was that the quality had not changed - our goto Mesquite chicken sub was still as tasty as ever. I tried the ravioli in arrabiata sauce - tempted as it was cooked fresh in front of you. Tasted so fresh - both the ravioli and the sauce - full of flavour. Great food, generous portions, good service - all in a lovely, clean welcoming setting. What's not to like?!

Hidden gem! Great food! The mains are amazing! The pizzas here beat any of these “instagramable” pizza venues in London.

A truly atmospheric place, you can come here after watching a ballet or opera. Soulful and delicious. Nice staff

We have visited here a few times but were disappointed by our recent visit. The restaurant wasn’t busy but service was slow and unorganised. The most frustrating part of the visit was how many items were unavailable from the set menu. All 3 of the courses I ordered had to be changed after my order was placed. This would have been more understandable if the restaurant had been busy. I had to change my main dish from the rib calzone (which I was really looking forward to) to a pasta dish and was shocked by the small portion size. I have enjoyed Zizzi for many years but not sure I will rush back.

The food was delicious. I had the Bolognese and it was amazing.

Excellent pizzas and great service. Kaci our waitress was excellent.
