The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

Horribly crowded, trying to manoeuvre through people carrying plates of food. Food, average. Prawns were so overcooked they disintegrated. Very few veg, no chow mein, chop suey, Chinese veg. No vegetables with Indian selection. Ice cream tasteless. Expensive buffet serving cheap food with Expensive drinks. On the plus side wonderful, cheerful smiling staff. All of them. I really do not understand the 5 star reviews!!

It is a very welcoming and warm place. Food is nice but missing the bonus point that justifies a Michelin star. I am all about simplicity but creative simplicity. However, the staff was just horrible for such a place. They served the wrong dish, which is fine and can happen. However, you cannot just leave the other person's plate. I ate my dish cold because I waited for my husband's correct dish. Also, I chose a quite expensive glass of wine which was sadly served with cork residue. I immediately asked for a new glass, which was never served. Then, we asked for one sparkling and one still bottle of water. Usually, you get asked which one you prefer. It was not the case. I do not like the taste of sparkling water so just switched glasses with my husband, which the staff saw and was quite pissed about. All in all, the staff made it a frustrating experience.

poor service attitude, n average food but decent price. wont coming back

Went for a night out, the pizzas had no test and lack of salt, spices…, one of us had pasta, he end up with food poisoning. Very sad as this place was very good few years ago.

I went with my son to celebrate Mother’s Day. We only planned to sit down for dessert, as we had already had lunch elsewhere — something that clearly didn’t please the staff member serving us. The person behind the ice cream counter was also quite snobbish and arrogant. When I asked about the desserts, she answered dismissively and with a condescending tone. Not everyone speaks Italian, and not everyone knows all the desserts by name. That said, the desserts themselves were delicious. However, the overall impression was rather off-putting due to the poor service. I wouldn’t recommend dining inside, but the ice cream is excellent and can be bought by the scoop to take away.

Nice pizza, small location with plenty of tables. Quick service and reasonable prices

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at La Porchetta Pollo Pizzeria with my cousin. From the moment we walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with their friendly and attentive service. The food was nothing short of excellent — the pizza was truly amazing, with a perfectly crispy crust, fresh toppings, and rich flavors that left me wanting more. The quality of the ingredients and the craftsmanship behind each pizza really shine through. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a delicious pizza and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Very AVG and on the pricey side

La comida era buena aquí, pero una queja es la principal que viene a la mesa cuando todavía comer entrantes. El personal aquí quiere ofrecer el mejor servicio que pueda. La comida es excelente por lo que no te decepcionará.

My colleagues and I had a fantastic time at Gino’s. The pane formaggi was excellent. Leo provided us with exceptional service and we were treated wonderfully by the whole staff. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in the area. Leo was very personable and gave us plenty of recommendations based on what we like. I always love it when a server goes above and beyond to truly make traveling magical. This is my second time dining here and I’ve been graced with Leo as my server both times. He is truly a gem and I cannot wait to come back.

Very overpriced canteen food. I wanted a really good bowl of pasta, but what I received was a tasteless watery mush. Very little seasoning and nobody dared come over to check on me. From entering the restaurant I must have been waited on by at least five different members of staff on a two course lunch. Every detail and every item was brought by somebody new. I had ordered the pasta Bolognese but had requested the up sold Mafaldine pasta rather than the ordinary spaghetti. I didn't receive this but I also wasn't charged for it, so I accept it as an honest mistake, and not something on its own I would make an issue from. My order arrived far faster than it takes to cook Spaghetti, and the spaghetti was over cooked and the sauce wouldn't stick to the pasta. I was never offered any cheese or black pepper, and nobody came over to check if everything was ok. I did order a glass of wine to go with my meal, but had nearly finished eating by the time it arrived. All in all just a very disappointing time especially when you consider the cost involved, over £15 just for the pasta alone.

We been served by Austin , a very nice person he looked after us for the time we been in restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice . Highly recommend this place 👌🏻
