Ho cenato in questo ristorante con la mia famiglia in occasione di un week end londinese. Su indicazione dei miei figli e mia moglie che sono dei seguaci di Masterchef abbiamo provveduto a prenotare direttamente dal sito on line. Il Ristorante si trova nel bellissimo quartiere Marylebone. La location è molto bella ed elegante. Servizio professionale e fin troppo attento. Piatti molto buoni ma prezzo troppo alti anche x un ristorante stellato.

It is a very welcoming and warm place. Food is nice but missing the bonus point that justifies a Michelin star. I am all about simplicity but creative simplicity. However, the staff was just horrible for such a place. They served the wrong dish, which is fine and can happen. However, you cannot just leave the other person's plate. I ate my dish cold because I waited for my husband's correct dish. Also, I chose a quite expensive glass of wine which was sadly served with cork residue. I immediately asked for a new glass, which was never served. Then, we asked for one sparkling and one still bottle of water. Usually, you get asked which one you prefer. It was not the case. I do not like the taste of sparkling water so just switched glasses with my husband, which the staff saw and was quite pissed about. All in all, the staff made it a frustrating experience.

Always excellent. My only comment relates to the chips. It was £5.50 for a small plate of chips. We counted - there were EIGHT CHIPS - which (including service) worked out at almost ONE POUND PER CHIP!! Perhaps a little “over the top” in terms of pricing.

My husband and I went to this place on holiday in London two weeks ago. Maybe our expectations were too high...but we expect more from a starred one and I underline that it is not the first starred one we have tried. Once we got to the table we realized that the distance did not guarantee the right privacy of a starred restaurant, furthermore the waiters spoke so loudly that we heard a discussion at a nearby table and also the comments made between them and the maitre d'. They brought the bread and breadsticks to the table next to ours even though they had arrived after us and I had to ask if we could have them too. Furthermore, there was no entrée provided (another shortcoming for a starred restaurant). I asked for the liver to be cooked not rare but it arrived very undercooked, while my husband had a calamarata which was very salty. In short, not a positive experience and with only a sufficient rating. Perhaps chef Locatelli should spend more time in his restaurant and check better, because today in my opinion he certainly doesn't deserve a Michelin star.

Michelin star worthy - Incredible food and outstanding service. Special mention to Costanzo for sharing his knowledge about food and wines and his commitment to make our evening so special. I highly recommend the Linguine with lobster and the Pappardelle with chicken liver followed by a tiramisu and/or pistacchio ice cream. Hands down one of the best meals I ever had, will be back!

We've been before in fact it's an annual dinner for us but this year there was definitely a slip in standards particularly with the service - at 15%. At times it was slow and a couple of smaller orders forgotten. But the irritating thing was the attempted upselling. The most ridiculous was an attempt to sell us a wine that was twice the price than the one we ordered (and we're talking three figures.) Food had also lost its lustre. With a bill of £600 for three it needs a reboot.

Reading all the extremely positive reviews of Locanda Locatelli made me think of that scene from the Beckham docuseries: “It was amazing!” “Be honest.” “I eat well.” “Be honest.” “It was terrible.” Thank you. I had high expectations for this Michelin-starred restaurant, especially given the chef's popularity from television and shows like MasterChef. It is easy to set high standards for others, but when it comes to our own experience, it felt more like "do as I say, not as I do." The attention to detail and level of service promised by the restaurant’s reputation were sorely lacking. ** Seating/Comfort/Atmosphere First off, the seating was a joke: tables so close together it felt like I was dining at an office desk, not a high-end restaurant. Every time I needed to make a phone call or go to the bathroom, I had to either lift my table or ask the staff for help. Not exactly the experience I was hoping for. **Customer Service/Response When we asked about the reason for these tables being so close together and whether it would be possible to change tables, the staff responded in a rather defensive, even somewhat rude, manner, saying that no one had ever complained about this before and that everything had been fine for 22/23 years. How is it possible that, after 22 or 23 years, no one has ever complained about the seating (staff mentioned that they always 'move the tables' to allow customers to get in/out of their seats and pass)? How could authorities have allowed such an arrangement to persist for so long, especially considering the potential dangers? In the event of a fire or emergency, how would guests be able to exit the restaurant quickly? Eventually, we were moved, but the new table was still too close to the others. Needless to say, this would have been even more uncomfortable for someone who is not exactly 'slim'. **Cleanliness Moreover, after the staff moved us, we noticed the table next to ours was still dirty, with a stained tablecloth from the previous lunch. It stayed that way for over 20 minutes after we changed tables. When they finally got around to cleaning it, they laid down a new tablecloth while simultaneously sweeping the floor, even lifting the broom as they did so, all while we were still eating our first course at the adjacent table! This was not only poorly timed, but also unprofessional, further disrupting our dining experience. **Food Quality Now, let us talk about the food. It was far from what the standard from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The flavours were muddled, and I struggled to distinguish any of the ingredients. Licorice, chestnuts… I am still not sure if I was supposed to taste them or not. We ordered two appetisers and two main courses, but none of the dishes left a lasting impression. The dessert, which we had been eagerly anticipating after seeing photos online on Locanda Locatelli's website, was especially underwhelming. It arrived as a chocolate sphere with very little ice cream to accompany it, nothing special at all. **Bill/Summary Overview The only thing that reflected the Michelin rating, also as many customers already highlighted in their reviews, was the price. Unfortunately, not the quality of the food or service. It was certainly not worth the hype, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are much better options in London, where the food is more reasonably priced, offers better dishes, and at least gives you some privacy and comfort while you dine. The portions were generous and dishes were brought quickly, but the overall experience was disappointing.

Our experience at Locanda Locatelli was truly special. We came on Friday for the first time. The staff helped me organize the marriage proposal for my partner and made the evening truly unique. The dishes we chose really exceeded expectations and for this reason we decided to return to have dinner at Locanda Locatelli two days later. 5 stars are not enough, 5 stars would be needed for each of the people who work in the restaurant. We were truly impressed by the kindness, professionalism and helpfulness of the staff. We couldn't be happier to have chosen Locanda Locatelli for such an important dinner for us. It will be our obligatory stop every time we are in London. We recommend it to anyone who wants to spend an evening where they feel truly pampered.

Quelle déception. Je vous raconte. Restaurant conseillé par mon papa, amateur de cuisine et qui suit le chef Giorgio Locatelli dans ses émissions (master chef Italia). Nous avons été dans ce restaurant avec ma compagne pour mon anniversaire. Nous avons été accueillis relativement bien, on prend nos manteaux, on nous conduis à notre table, on déplace même la table pour faciliter notre installation. Ce n’est qu’une fois assis que la déception arrive. À peine installé, le menu arrive avec leur carte « spécialité à la truffe blanche ». S’en suit une cloche avec ce fameux produit afin que l’on puisse « sentir le produit ». À peine eu le temps de respirer. Après avoir pu reprendre notre souffle et découvrir la carte (plutôt alléchante) notre serveuse arrive pour prendre la commande. Je demande donc d’abord des boissons (hormis l’eau déjà servie), on me dit non, juste la nourriture… très bien peut être que c’est un autre serveur pour les boissons… nous prenons donc notre plat et puis plus rien. Juste le sommelier qui passe et à qui nous avons donné notre choix de ne pas prendre de vin ce soir ci. Après plusieurs longues minutes à nous interroger sur ce que l’on peut boire d’autre que de l’eau et du vin, je demande la carte des cocktails. Qui eux, sont arrivé tout d’abord avec une erreur de commande (Apreol Spritz à la place d’un Hugo Spritz) et surtout après avoir eu nos plats servis. Le service était rapide, beaucoup trop rapide. L’apéro ne se marie pas avec les plats cela gâche notre plaisir qui résulte vraiment dans la nourriture superbement travaillée. En vient maintenant notre dessert qui malgres un tiramisu très borderline niveau recette originale, est réussis. Une attention particulière pour mon anniversaire a été faite (même si seul 2 serveur l’ont souhaité. Je m’attendais à plus de sympathie). Le vin pris avec le dessert était lui très bien servis avec un sommelier qui aura été notre serveur préféré, amical et beaucoup plus chaleureux que les autres. Merci à lui. Nous arrivons enfin à la fin du repas, avec l’arrivée de mon café (servis sans accompagnement, ni sucre, ni bouchées/chocolat ou autre). Bref, j’ai du personnellement bouger la table devant les serveurs ne bougeant pas un petit doigts pour nous aider afin d’aller récupérer nos manteaux. Ceux-ci ont êtes rendu par dessus le meuble (traînant sur celui-ci), ma compagne n’a pas été aidée pour qu’on lui remette et je retrouve une écharpe dans la manche de mon manteau… grand mystère qui n’avait pas l’air d’inquiéter les serveur. Nous partons donc avec cerise sur le gâteau aucune réponse à notre « merci, au revoir et bonne soirée »… autant dire que même la politesse aura été absente. Bref je ne recommande pas, on s’est sentis de trop, pris de haut, ce qui est inacceptable dans ce genre d’établissement ! De plus, plusieurs client en tee-shirts, un en sweat avec sa capuche. Et des clients bruyant très « m’as-tu vu » qui eux ont été très très bien traités par ces mêmes serveurs qui nous laissaient nous servir seuls. La conclusion est donc une grande déception par le service mais un bonheur gustatif.

Para que te hagas una idea, después de pagar la cuenta, tuve que tener mucho cuidado de no chocar con la mesa de al lado al salir (mi espalda rozó contra los palitos de pan de allí). Huelga decir que esto habría sido aún más incómodo para alguien que no es exactamente "delgado"; sentarse sin chocar con las mesas vecinas era casi imposible. Por otra parte, después de que el personal nos trasladó, nos dimos cuenta de que la mesa de al lado de la nuestra todavía estaba sucia, con un mantel manchado del almuerzo anterior. Se mantuvo así durante más de 20 minutos después de que cambiamos de mesa. Cuando finalmente se pusieron a limpiarlo, pusieron un mantel nuevo mientras barrían el piso simultáneamente, incluso levantando la escoba mientras lo hacían, ¡todo mientras todavía estábamos comiendo nuestro primer plato en la mesa adyacente! Esto no solo fue poco oportuno, sino también poco profesional, interrumpiendo aún más nuestra experiencia gastronómica. No me opongo a gastar mucho para una buena cena, pero nadie en nuestro grupo de 5 se fue pensando que querríamos volver (o incluso repetirlo si lo hubiéramos sabido). What can I say… Congratulations to the location and the staff who proved to be friendly and super helpful. Chef Abela proved to be on another level, he amazed me with the perfection of the dishes cooked and eaten. Everything was perfect! Francesco, in the dining room, was able to advise us and direct us on the dishes that were right for us, he fully learned our tastes and with the final touch of the cuisine you amazed us! We will be back soon, thanks for the experience.

Excellent atmosphere and extremely attentive and kind staff. Huge disappointment on the menu and the quality of the dishes - with flavor errors: in particular the ratios in the tartare were wrong, subverted by the abundance of siphoned egg??? , roast chicken with tasteless sauces lacking enough originality to justify the cost, cooked red mullet wrapped in a hyper-salted slice of ham - especially given the bill, which is truly disproportionate and, yes!, rather salty. Decent wine list with a special focus dedicated to niche labels, with an excellent quality-price ratio. It's also a shame that there was no chef in the room.

This restaurant is really overrated, really nothing special in my opinion. I'm Italian and you can't serve a tiramisu that's so far away from the typical one; the rivisitation is terrible is not a tiramisu. Chestnut Linguine with mushroom too heavy, and a very dry focaccia. The atmosphere remembers me an old fashioned restaurant who needs a refurbishment and a fresher/elegant look. A pity

As newlyweds we were given the gift of a starred dinner by our beloved chef Locatelli in London, a truly surprising experience, first of all the welcome and the atmosphere that you breathe are truly priceless knowing that you are at a starry one. Dishes of excellent quality, but we never feel more than just part of the Locanda. MARIANNA was very kind and prepared to serve us and explain everything to us, and even let us have a little sweet surprise (you can find the photo below) for our fresh wedding. None of the dishes disappoint, in fact I was enchanted by so many preparations even with simple ingredients! Absolutely recommended, both for the meat and fish portions

In visita a Londra ho voluto provare il ristorante dello chef Locatelli sapendo di avere aspettative gonfiate forse un po’ dalla la fama dello chef ma fiducioso grazie alla stella Michelin. Il locale è all’interno dell’hotel Hyatt, elegante ma con i tavoli un po’ troppo vicini tra loro che non consentono la privacy. Il personale è gentile e cordiale e plus parla anche italiano, cosa che non ritenevo fosse scontata. Potrebbe essere uno dei tanti ristoranti all’interno di hotel internazionali presenti in tutte le città ma di certo non uno stellato da cui ci si aspetta molto ma molto di più. Al massimo potrebbe essere un ristorante con menzione sulla guida fino a quando arriva il conto e la stella ricompare in tutto il suo splendore. Mancano tutte quelle piccole attenzioni e “coccole” che si pretendono (e si pagano) a questi livelli, ad esempio amuse bouche, pre dessert e piccola pasticceria ( 3 dolcetti su un piattino fanno più tarallucci in trattoria che stellato ). I piatti, perdonate il gioco di parole, sono piatti. Non solo hanno quel plus in bocca che ci si aspetterebbe da una cucina stellata ma erano mononota e dopo qualche boccone risultavano noiosi. La burrata, zucca, nocciole e mostarda di frutta (forse il piatto migliore) è un assemblaggio ma almeno quel poco di mostarda quando arriva rompe un po’ la noia. Stessa cosa invece non si può dire delle melanzane, pomodoro, fonduta di Parmigiano e salsa di basilico che per carità non sono cattive, ma mancano proprio di sprint e gusto. Gli gnocchi di patate, ragu di lepre e liquirizia (il ragù è tipo un salmì) tende al dolce e con la liquirizia (anch’essa dolce) stanca. Manca qualcosa ad esempio di sapido che faccia venire voglia di prenderne un altro boccone. I cappellacci, burro & salvia, zucca e amaretti non sono male, ma niente di più. Ci si aspetterebbe però un contrasto dolce che non c’è (l’amaretto non si sente e servirebbe anche della mostarda) con il parmigiano ed il burro&salvia che dovrebbe essere nocciola anziché anemico ed insapore. Già molto delusi ho chiesto al cameriere come fosse la degustazione di formaggi (in uno stellato ci si aspetta non dico il carrello ma almeno un po’ di scelta) ma dalla descrizione sembrava il tagliere misto dell’aperitivo con formaggi normalissimi ed anche i dolci sembravano dalla descrizione fatta molto noiosi. Abbiamo evitato di buttare altre 60 euro circa. Decisamente sconsigliato.

Location elegante, qualità del cibo ottima, prezzo stellato ma il servizio non all’altezza. Bicchiere macchiato, non portano il poggia borsa, 1 ora di attesa per la prima porta e non c’è un benvenuto dello chef ne un pre dessert, impiattamento pasta assente. Pane senza glutine confezionato (mai successo in uno stellato). Attesa nel conto finale. Lo chef non si è presentato ai tavoli per un riscontro e si vede! Forse i clienti inglesi si accontentano così Per mantenere la Stella si deve stare nel range degli altri stellati sotto tutti gli aspetti.

Tutto ottimo, cibo, atmosfera e servizio. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, serviti da persone competenti ed in un ambiente accogliente. Se volete mangiare tortelli in brodo, calamarata, gnocchi fatti in casa, pollo al limone o spaghetti all’astice andate da Locatelli, ne rimarrete pienamente soddisfatti. Prezzo giusto

Of all the Michelin-starred restaurants I've tried abroad, perhaps one of the most overrated, the food is good, of course, but you enter with completely different expectations, so you're a little disappointed.

Disappointment started with breadsticks which tasted like 2 days old. The interior design is from early 2000s hotel lounge. The service is overwhelming as they constantly tried to push specials. We couldn’t have a conversation for 2 minutes without being interrupted, when we wanted to order wine, there was no one around. The fish wasn’t fresh. The menu is far beyond being authentic. Potatoes tasted like Tesco, how can you fail to have good potatoes? They sit on the Michelin star they got 20 years ago and didn’t change anything since. Avoid!!

Just walked into this restaurant from an art exhibition with my boyfriend and we had a lovely dinner. The food was amazing, the wine was great and we were looked after by Sally, the nice lady who took her beautiful time to tell us about the new truffle on the menu and gave us details of the origin. We had really amazing time here and we will be coming back next time we are in the area. Please give Sally her flowers, she's amazing!

This was my first time attending Locanda Locatelli, having previously enjoyed a cocktail at the hotel's bar, the Churchill Bar. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. For being a Michelin-star restaurant, it was not snobby or pretentious at all, just excellent 5 star customer service. Francesco and the rest of the team made myself and my friend feel very welcome and the ambience was perfect. It was quiet when we arrived at 6pm but absolutely packed when we left at 8pm. The bread basket was perfect and you get your own personal little oil bowl, which was just my favourite thing. The breadsticks are about a foot long with a nice cheesy flavour. My friend and I both got the rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection and the cocktails were delicious as well. Although, the service was mega fast, we didn't feel rushed and we barely noticed the staff, they were that discreet. 100% recommend this restaurant!

**a disappointment across the board** I waited several months before writing this review, precisely to avoid writing it dictated by the "fresh" disappointment of the moment. I wanted to be as objective as possible, given that Chef Locatelli is one of my favorite chefs and I have always admired and respected him. We had high expectations for this starred restaurant, but unfortunately the experience was a profound disappointment. Considering the fame and prestige that surrounds it, we would have expected much more, especially in terms of service and attention to detail. First of all, the service was well below the standards of an establishment of this level. The staff proved to be not very attentive and decidedly not up to par: the waiter literally took the menu out of our hands, and another even took my glass away without asking if I still wanted to drink, there was no one who bothered to refill glasses and several times we had to call the waiters to bring us water or wine, not to mention the long waits between the various courses. All this in a starred restaurant is unacceptable given that we have never received such disservice even in a restaurant. There was not that attention to the customer that is expected in a restaurant of this caliber, where every detail should be taken care of impeccably. Additionally, one of the biggest disappointments was the lack of compliance with the dress code. The restaurant's website clearly specifies an elegant dress code, but we were disconcerted to see guests dressed in a decidedly inappropriate way, some even wearing t-shirts, sneakers and hoodies (sitting right next to us, who were actually elegant). . It is unacceptable that a starred restaurant does not enforce its own rules, thus undermining the classy atmosphere that should characterize it. We had gone to celebrate a birthday and all this completely ruined the exclusive and refined atmosphere we were expecting. Furthermore, the bathroom was shared with a hotel, so to reach it you had to go through it. Inside one of the women's toilets I saw a baby diaper rolled up and thrown on the floor. Total lack of cleaning and checks of the bathrooms! The food was good, but nothing memorable, and certainly not up to expectations created by the restaurant's name and high prices. I assume that Chef Locatelli is not aware of what happens in his absence, and this is what prompted me to write this review. In conclusion, a disappointing experience from all points of view: terrible service, compromised atmosphere and cuisine that was unable to amaze. It is definitely not worth the price, nor the fame that surrounds it. I don't recommend it.

An incredible evening and experience! I have a severe allergy and they were extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and helped me order something safe and delicious! The burrata was amazing (one of the best I’ve had), and my fish dish was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My partner loved the pasta. They even brought me fresh fruit for desert, as there were possible nuts in the baked goods. Exceptional service, quality and evening all around!

Nothing to say about lobster linguine, but God forbid! They do it well even from the restaurant next door if we give them a good product. Cooked just al dente and good shellfish: in short, a good dish. But then, please!!! The artichoke, my favorite vegetable, tortured, barbaric and far from any culinary canon: but why on earth? How is it possible to serve in a STARRED restaurant an artichoke that is hard to the heart, stringy, covered and filled with a horrible mixture of bread, parsley and such a quantity of garlic that it would make a Piedmontese pale after eating bagna cauda. And the poor tender heart of the artichoke removed, perhaps, to mix it with the horrible mixture. Really presenting such a mess at the table is not even the worst neighborhood restaurant. Oops, neighborhood inn… I therefore leave only one star, also because less is not possible, because I hope that the Sous Chefs left alone at Easter were totally unaware of what it means to prepare an artichoke. I hope that in the presence of Chef Locatelli such a massacre could not only not be accepted, but certainly not even prepared.

Nulla da dire sulle linguine all’astice, ma ci mancherebbe ancora! Lo fanno bene anche dalla trattoria sotto casa se diamo loro un buon prodotto. Cattura giusta, giusto al dente, crostaceo buono: insomma un buon piatto. Ma poi, per favore!!! Il carciofo, la mia verdura preferita, martoriato, imbarbarito e lontano da qualsiasi canone culinario: ma perché mai? Come è possibile servire in un ristorante STELLATO un carciofo duro fino al cuore, filaccioso, coperto e ripieno di un orrendo miscuglio di pane, prezzemolo ed una quantità tale di aglio da far impallidire un piemontese dopo aver mangiato la bagna cauda. E il povero cuore tenero del carciofo tolto, forse, per mischiarlo con l’orrendo miscuglio. Davvero presentare a tavola un simile scempio non è neppure da peggior trattoria di quartiere. Ops, locanda di quartiere… Lascio pertanto in totale una solo stella, anche perché di meno non si può, perché spero che i Sous Chefs lasciati da soli a Pasqua fossero totalmente ignari di che cosa voglia dire preparare un carciofo. Mi auguro che in presenza dello Chef Locatelli un simile scempio possa non solo non essere accettato, ma di certo neppure preparato. Per cui, consiglio da profano, forse è meglio controllare un po’ di più chi prepara i piatti

Make your reservation now! Simply superb in every way!! The restaurant itself is beautifully, sophisticatedly, and comfortably designed. Soft but not too dark ambient lighting, nice music in the background, but we could hear each other easily. Sometimes a challenge these days when restaurants forget that their blaring music is not the main feature. The entire restaurant has a lovely ambiance. The food is nothing short of sensational. Additionally, they bring you their signature tall parmesan breadstcks as well as a big basket with 6 types of their homemade breads with deep verdant green EVOO. All were delicious. Portions are generous, and everything we ordered was beyond delicious! Especially recommend the rabbit ragu.. best we have ever had, farm chicken and their quintessential tiramisu. The mixologist at the bar was way above par, as was their wine list, including those wines being served by the glass. The whole staff and managers were welcoming and accommodating from the moment we first entered until we left. All wait staff are extremely well trained and professional. The management circles continuously, making sure your experience with them is outstanding. Virtually cannot say enough about the fabulous chef and this entire restaurant. As we were leaving, my husband said, "We should plan on coming here once a week, and we will certainly want to bring our out of town guests". His comments sum up our dining experience at Locanda Locatelli perfectly. It is our new go to. Bravo 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Nice experience. Food is a little bit on the ‘old fashioned’ side, meaning traditional and food of flavors. Presentation is not a big thing here 🥰 we did not want to disturb Giorgio, who was in the room, but as a general way of doing it have been nice to meet him briefly. Once you are a celebrity if you appear you must do a little be of a show, otherwise you stay behind the scenes. Anyhow one of the best Italian restaurants in town.

We dined here back in June. I expected more from a Michelin star restaurant. The staff were nice & friendly but the food was average. Chicken smelled & was bland, pasta was good with their own twist on it but nothing exceptional, and the fish was also average with no wow factor. Not a bad experience in total but not something I would want to go back to.

We were celebrating with family and the ambience is relaxed and convivial. Pasta starter could have been much more generous with the fish hence 4*. Main course of mullet was wonderfully executed and the roasted chicken was liked by our guests. All staff attentive, friendly and happy to chat about the food and drinks. This is the restaurant located in Churchill Hotel. It does have its low key touch from the outlook to the atmosphere. The service is one of the kind. The tartare di Manzo is delicious as starter. The linguine lobster is excellent as well. It’s a bit overpriced but I won’t complain too much since the food does deliver.

I'm sorry but I have to say great disappointment for being a starred restaurant. Compared to the habits of other 1-star restaurants that I am used to in Italy (without inconveniencing 2 or 3 stars) - dishes are not presented - there is no tasting menu - no welcome entree (an amuse bocche or small appetizer) - crowded tables and noisy place - waiters unprepared and a little awkward - partially seated (2 out of 5) on a sofa, to enter they had to open the door for us and then served with waiters who handed the dishes from the back of the sofa onto the table - limited wine list, with almost all Italian wines, French whites only champagne, no still wines. Add to all this the aubergine starter which arrived with a 2cm piece of film in the dough Having pointed out the chef's apologies (reported by the waitress), we were promised that the cost of the dish would be reversed, but I have no evidence of this. They then brought us a pre dessert with the chef's apologies. Positives - dishes (with simple flavors and plating) that are discreet in taste - choice of around 8 starters, first courses and second courses - quite fast - glass never empty - aesthetically pleasing place In summary 1 star which I struggle to understand and disproportionate bill compared to the food and the service.

This was my second time at Locatelli. The first time, last year, was much more pleasant, which is why I came back, but this second time, things have changed. To give a title I would say: good restaurant, but not starred. This time the place was much darker, which I personally don't appreciate when dining, but this can be overlooked, it's subjective. The first year an amuse Bouche was served, not present this time. I found the dishes very good, tasty, aesthetically nothing fancy, but pleasant. The breadsticks and bread that are brought are particularly good. The real sore point of the experience was the service: I found the waiters much more unprepared (when introducing me the first one got the central ingredient of the seasoning wrong) and above all the sommelier: a truly inelegant presence in that context, which speaks to loud voice with the tables next to him making conversation impossible, and a decidedly unstarry way of acting. Furthermore, the coffee was brought along with the dessert, without waiting for us to finish the dish. One of the most positive notes, exactly like the first experience, are the desserts: very good and excellently presented. I highlight a price increase from the previous year, ordering 2 identical dishes, and the same number and type of courses, of 30 pounds. In short, overall the dishes are good, but the side dish and many details lack the attention that should be required in a starred restaurant, details that will lead us to choose another restaurant next year, given that, for the same price, you can find equally good restaurants, but perhaps with more attention. (Both times the chef was not present in the restaurant, and in my opinion, this is the reason why the restaurant is increasingly lacking in attention)

Outstanding restaurant!!! I went for my birthday and we had a great dinner. First they served you bread sticks with olive oil dip, then a basket of 3 different types of homemade bread. We ate starters, mains, pasta and dessert. We were full at the end and couldn’t move. I wasn’t expecting to be so filled up from a Michelin start restaurant as all of Michelin are very small (fine dining)portions. Locanda Locatelli got my heart. The portions were very good and fair price. We paid £300 for two people and it worthy. I forgot to mention that they have amazing wines and lots of options.

I have been to this restaurant before and decided to find the poor service and off hand treatment charming. I am afraid that wore very thin on a second visit. Tutted at for asking for olive oil that hadn't arrived, food arrived before wine, told to 'wait' when asked to pay for the third time etc. Staff also were arguing with each other. The food was nice, not masses of chef's skills but enjoyable. Expensive, but not too much for what it was. It felt like it needed a stronger manager to hold the team in line, as it was, the atmosphere rather spoilt our evening.

The feeling throughout the dinner is that the asking price is not justified. Allergies are not asked and biscuits with dried fruit are brought at the end of the meal. The service, although fast and polite, did not live up to the price and there were some uncertainties in the description of the dishes. The calamarata with monkfish was very good and worth the visit alone.

On the other hand, it was very reasonably priced, but I was looking for something a bit more memorable. The fact that they didn’t strike something I didn’t eat from the bill and then brought me somebody else’s was also quite odd. The search for good Italian food in London continues.

We were looking so much forward to this evening. Having eaten at a few michelin starred restaurants around the world we had some expectations for food and service. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with Locanda Locatelli. We were a party of 4 and it was a birthday dinner. The only really good dish was the sepia antipasto, all the other dishes were average or below, felt totally uninspired and were far from 1 michelin star quality. E.g. the burrata antipasto was boring, lacked salt and some acidity. The gnocchi with goat cheese and truffle were nice, but it would have tasted exactly the same without the truffle, as we could neither smell nor taste this truffle, even though ther was abundantly on the dish, we found this very strange... Also the fried zucchini lacked salt and were hence not as pleasant to eat as they could have been. Also, in a restaurant like this, I expect the chef to greet the guests at some point during the evening, which unfortunately did not happen. Also, we got unlucky with our waitress. We had 2 people in our party that only spoke Italian and we got the only waitress who didn't speak the language. She was friendly, but also very insecure and I always felt pity when she presented the dishes because she did this in a very peculiar way. Also, to be honest, all these fabric bracelets around her wrists felt very unhygienic... All the other waiters, the maître d' and the sommelier were fantastic though! They also did their best to make up for it when we shared that we weren't happy about the food. It is for this quality of service that I give 3 stars to this post. Service 5, Food 2!

Finalmente siamo riusciti a venir a cenare al ristorante del famoso chef italiano Locatelli! Arrivati, l’accoglienza è unica, raffinata, elegante e molto personale. Dopo esserci accomodati, dal menu ho ordinato La Burrata alla "Vignarola" (Burrata, artichoke, peas, broad beans, mint, mixed salad, spring onion) e a seguire le Pappardelle, fave, rucola e pecorino di Pienza. Il tutto accompagnato da una bottiglia di vino bianco Soave Classico, Pieropan, 100% Garganega. I piatti erano buonissimi, ben bilanciati, cotti alla perfezione e con materiali di prima ed eccellente qualità! Il personale a sua volta è cordiale, simpatico, disponibile e attento a ogni minimo dettagli e nostra esigenza/richiesta! Il ristorante è elegante, con in atmosfera molto intima e ottima per passare una serata davvero irripetibile! Complimenti davvero a tutto lo staff, perché è un’esperienza che merita anche di essere ripetuta!!

For our birthday, my sister and I treated ourselves to a trip to London, why not end with a good dinner! The staff is helpful and friendly. Moving the table to sit/get up is a little inconvenient. Not drinking wine (we only ordered a bottle of water for our personal reasons) I felt like I was "stingy". They bring a basket of bread and oil: delicious. Too bad the bread plate was missing! The breadsticks were not to my liking. Having chosen the dishes (too bad there was no tasting menu) and specified that my sister doesn't like cheese, hers comes with a sprinkling of parmesan! A serious oversight. My second course with all those raw artichoke leaves, even not, the cream and the fish were excellent! Excellent tiramisu, mediocre dessert with pistachio and cherries. Very happy with the plate with the candle!!! Clean and tidy place.

Tragicomic experience Once you arrive at the restaurant, you enter independently and are welcomed by the staff. Overcoats are put away and you are led to the table. First embarrassment already in sitting down: the table is completely moved to accommodate the diners on the sofa but the scene is completely singular and awkward. After a few minutes, the breadsticks (1 per person), bread, focaccia and oil are brought. The sommelier lived up to expectations by recommending good wines based on our preferences and orders. Some flaws on the service however: side dish not arrived, stained table, re-fill carried out with the wrong wine. In general the staff seemed quite tense. Moving on to the menu: dishes without great imagination, taste good but not very convincing or innovative. The lobster linguine arrived in the form of spaghetti and a discreet oily base. The second course of grouper fish had a basically raw and inedible artichoke base. Illy coffee is good. Disproportionate bill compared to the food, the service and the atmosphere in general.

Great food… but when I ask for the bill at 10 pm and don’t get it till 1040 and then the machine takes just as long to come, the service quality significantly declines. Do not keep your patrons waiting an hour to leave your restaurant, it is quite rude.

Desafortunadamente nuestra cena en Olivo fue muy decepcionante, por decir lo menos. Queríamos probar la cocina sarda ya que el menú sonaba muy prometedor, así que estábamos deseando nuestra cena. Después de pedir nuestras bebidas recibimos una selección gratuita de pan y aceite de oliva. El pan era normal, nada especial. Para empezar pedimos el carpaccio de pez espada y paquetes de pasta rellenos de ternera en un caldo claro llamado culurgioneddus. Cuando se sirvió el carpaccio nos dimos cuenta de la cantidad excesiva de aceite de oliva que se echaba encima del pescado. Esto está mal, ya que domina completamente el delicado sabor del pescado crudo. Verdaderamente, deberíamos haberlo devuelto inmediatamente y solicitado un reemplazo con solo unas cuantas gotas de aceite de oliva en la parte superior como se sirve habitualmente. Así que este es nuestro error. Los paquetes de pasta estaban bien, el relleno estaba un poco seco y el caldo tenía un sabor indefinible de hierbas o especias, realmente no puedo decir lo que era, pero nunca había probado nada así antes. Pero en general era un plato comestible. Para la alimentación pedimos pasta con ragù de jabalí y porceddu, cochinillo asado lentamente con patatas asadas. El personal debe al menos tener la decencia y el respeto de agradecer a los clientes después de que pagaron. Exactamente lo mismo nos pasó cuando pagamos. Cuando estábamos a punto de irnos finalmente nos preguntaron si todo estaba bien, pero es demasiado tarde. Así que le dijimos al personal sobre todo lo que salió mal en nuestra opinión. Looks nicer than the experience. I asked for a gluten free version of their English breakfast and was told I can only have the bacon, mushroom, grilled tomato and the beans. To my surprise they brought the plate with no beans. I also had to remind them about the extras I ordered which they did bring on two separate waves. The server asked who has which drink but placed it wrong anyway, and the men’s toilets were vile (one hasn’t been descaled in years and one fully clogged) The cherry on top - we were last order for breakfast service and they started taking the trash out through the restaurant and changing table cloths whilst chewing gums and with headphones in. Not to mention the vacuuming 2 tables away from us. All in all, not what you expect from a restaurant attached to a 5 star hotel. Always a goof time watching Gino on TV but eating at his place , not so much

We only had coffees in the place. The palace was super quiet as the only customers were us at the time, afternoon approx 4pm. The place is clean and tidy, with music playing. The fridge or some equipment was a bit noisy.
