This Italian restaurant has surprised me a lot I thought it was going to be the typical London one with a moderate proportion and also super expensive but I have pleasantly found one of the best Italian restaurants. Very fresh their food and delicious, I would definitely come back.

We have been in London for two days only and we came twice to this Italian restaurant. Besides the best food , they have the best staff. Try the lasagna , the spaghetti … the pizzas of coirse. ❤️ Lucca, Luigi and Luna - if you are in soho , you can skip the musical and come see these guys.

Perfect little pizzeria in heart of london

I've been to this place about 3-4 times. The food is always great, I always order tomato base sauce for pasta but I wanted to try something new and went for a creamy milk based one. I was really excited about it, but when I tasted it, I felt it was very salty although the sauce was quite lovely. I ate more than half of it just not to be rude for sending it back. I asked for my bill and saw a service charge was included, I didn't want to pay as the service was never ever good, the waitress is always with a neutral never smiling kind of face, haven't felt welcome ever since I came here the first time. When I said I didn't want to pay the service charge, she said something was wrong? I said yeah I felt that the pasta was a bit salty and didn't say anything because I don't want to be rude. She said that I should've told her if I didn't like it right before paying is not the time when I tell her in a very rude manner. I paid for my meal though I only removed the service charge. I wasn't even thanked for the visit after paying just an annoyed faced waitress. I have worked in hospitality myself but I've never been rude to customers because it's always customers first, they are always right. Very very bad experience @ service.

There is a lot of competition for good pizza in the centre of the capital and La Porchetta may win the prize. Busy venue with a friendly family vibe. Very fair prices.

Generally La Porchetta is worth it for decent pricing in Central. But service is mixed, sometimes lovely other times so pissed off it feels odd paying for it! Today the staff were particularly arrogant. Laughing at customers in their face - assuming they don't speak Italian. Then big ass yawning, flirting, sulking. Not cool. Sort your people out because this place is really needed in Central! I've been coming to La Porchetta since the 80s, it used to be amazing, big time. Please do your best to uphold, you are loved, I and other Londoners need you xxxx

Spanish: we are from Spain, they treated us very well even in Spanish. The food is good and the portions are very generous. We all had to ask to take away what we had left. The tiramusu was also shared between 4 of us, it was very large and very good. You leave comfortable and satisfied with what you order. Honestly how is this place real- cheap and huge portions in the middle of Covent Garden. And SO SO tasty. Meraviglioso.

Tiny restaurant but don’t let that put you off we’ve just come back from Italy and it was like we’d travelled back there! So authentic and the food was spot on, and it might be a small place but they certainly make up for the portions me and husband couldn’t finished it all, huge is an understatement, great service, great vibe!

Typical of many restaurants in London. You're paying a premium for the location and not the food. That being said the food was ok, but quite overpriced. In a large city like London, I have no doubt that there are better alternatives.

I’ve been there twice now. Food is okay. Nothing special but worth the price. But to be honest, the staff are so RUDE. They try to be polite, but they aren’t. The only one who seems friendly is the pizza chef. He even says goodbye when we leave. The rest needs to improve their communication and politeness skills. Even the manager.

Stumbled upon an absolute gem of a restaurant; the pasta was perfect and not over cooked, light and delicious. Our two dishes were beautifully curated with flavour and style, the portion size was also excellent.

A really nice Italian restaurant in a slightly more secluded alley. You had to wait at the door for a while for a table to become available, the atmosphere was good, of course a little noisy, people happily talked over good food. I recommend trying it, the price and quality were really good

Great little Italian! This is now going to my go-to place. The portions are huge, we ordered starters and a main which in hindsight, should’ve just ordered mains. Food was excellent.

I was there two weeks ago, I needed a good Italian pizza after so many quick sandwiches, sandwiches, mac hamburgers in London... and I found Italian Pizza, the real ones!! Neapolitan!! What a discovery, truly rich, when I return I will repeat without a doubt. They are very friendly, it was TakeAway, we waited 12 minutes, everything in 10!

Whilst the food was excellent the waiting staff were more interested in serving tables with young ladies on them rather than spreading their attention equally amongst the clientele. Probably not be returning.

Was at a nearby show and wanted to eat Italian but don’t know many good places that aren’t chains. Saw this place and took a chance. So pleased we did it was excellent. We ordered a pizza, a pasta dish plus a beer and an Aperol Spritz all for £43. The service was very friendly. Will definitely come back.

It used to be a good place with reasonable prices and friendly service. The staff don’t seem to care anymore, maybe because service charge is included now or some of them have been replaced.

The food was pasta per definition but it tasted and looked like the premade stuff you can buy at Tesco or whereever. The worst pasta I have had in a reataurant and I cannot imagine an italian chef was behind this. Generous portions though, but I think that is a way of «getting away» with the poor quality. Staff communicated by shouting and screaming. The restaurant has two floors and the upstairs and downstairs shouted messages to each other with no comsideration to the paying guests. They could be standing 10 inches away from you and screaming their lungs off. Very annoying ofcourse. I will not visit again but maybe other dishes are good. They also serve pizza.

After a long day in the office, a hearty meal was needed. Enough carbonara to feel a village for tenner?! In central London?! Do not mind if I do. And let me tell you. This meal went down the hole like a homesick mole. Absolutely delish. Alongside a bottle of (21) pinot, although previously horrifically reviewed, I was pleasantly suprised. Defo take a trip. Jim x

Great location in the center of Soho with great portions

The waitress with long orange hair was rude... looked like she was about to throw a plate at us. She made us very unwelcomed and uncomfortable. Other servers were nice.The food was bad frankly saying. The bruchettas are served topped with a ton of tomatoes and it doesn't look aesthetic. Then the spaghetti tasted like those American-Italian fast food spaghettis at Olive Garden and I felt really unwell after eating it. i would give a 1 star but the manager was very apologetic and made up for the poor service. Bruchetta was nicely toasted and spaghetti was a huge portion, even though I didn't like it. As for food perhaps pizzas are better so I am giving it a benefit of a doubt.

Smashing little Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho. Food came out quick and was delicious. Buratta salad and a pizza did the two of us nicely. Super close to the theatres too, if you’re looking to fill up before a show.

The food is amazing. One of the best Italian places in London. Very delicious and big portions. However the waiteress who served us wasn't very kind, was even a bit angry. Downstairs was full and very loud music was on. Around 40-50 people was trying to talk to each other in a small closed space and the restaurant decided to put some loud pop music on to make it even worse. It was so chaotic that we had to leave as soon as we finish eating.

But i dont have much money and only get to go out once a month due to this. Im in lots of debt. I was really upset that they made me feel so super guilty to pay a service charge and then when asking to take it off the waiter who came out when i was having a vape (not leaving at this point) questioned me and embarrassed me when i asked and looked at me dirty and told me the manager needs to be called and when the manager came out said the service charge was because now i asked for a take away box to take my left overs. The service charge should be paid and that i should pay the service charge because i want to take my left over food home. Im so embarassed. Ill never come back. So rude. This is my only treat to have something to eat out once a month and im so shocked i got treated like this. To put a customer in this situation when not knowing there situation is beyond unprofessional and they should really think about the bigger picture rather then the extra couple of quid in there pocket.

Had evening meal here, Italy were playing at the time so a good atmosphere. Not a fancy place, but the food was good.

What a fabulous little Italian restaurant. Despite being super busy, they found us a table without having to wait. Menu features pizza and pasta dishes with a good selection of toppings and sauces. Pizza is made fresh....Great fun watching the spinning of dough. Food was served quickly and was super hot. There was a great buzz to the place, and staff were attentive, efficient, and friendly. Couldn't believe what great prices the food was for a restaurant in the centre of London! Our meal was cheaper than we paid locally in our home town!!! Recommend this place highly and will defo eat here again. Thank you for a super meal before our theatre show!

Portions were huge!! I got a bit too greedy for my pants and ended up ordering profiteroles as well, which were huge and delicious. I definitely recommend going. The decor is not fancy schmancy, but it is within the theme of the restaurant.

This is an institution when it comes to Soho and Italian food, portions were huuuge 🫄and also delicious, you have to stop the guy with the Parmesan as he will grate the whole thing on your plate haha the pint glass was a bit dirty, but that’s the things you can forgive when everything else is bang on And the atmosphere, oh the staff is making sure that you are transported to Italy during your stay, I was completely stuffed and couldn’t try the deserts, but I have a strong feeling they will be great too

Stopped in with my family, pasta was good but the pizzas were AMAZING! This isn't a fancy restaurant, more like a basic Italian family style eatery. Pizza crust was spot-on and compares to pizzas I've had in Italy. The sauce was fantastic. A sweet tomato sauce without all the added seasoning: pure, simple, tomatoe sweet, home-made and delicious. Spoke with the cook Pasquale who was delightful to talk with while listening to his thick Italian accent. Cannot thank him enough for sharing a secret to making great dough for great pizza. This place has the best pizza I've ever had outside of Italy!

Better for you to look into your plate while eating! Ones I found a long hair into my pizza and although I was very upset I decided to give them another chance but after yesterday night ...no more! My dinner mate literally found a piece of ground into his salad big like a nut!!😱. Instead I ordered a Carbonara pasta and it was horrible; dried and with a strong taste of eggs 🤮. The alternative was having it in the "English" version with double cream. Not exactly the original recipe. Up to you and Good Luck!🤞🏾

I may have been million times here as my inner soul takes me to this Italian place. The host and chef when you enter greet you in very adoringly. Very authentic and cheap Italian food. The portion sizes are very large. They made a heart shaped pizza for me and my wife as we go regularly here. Tiramisu is top notch and a must try. I also sit downstairs and enjoy Italian serie A matches.

I called just to ask how busy the place was, and the guy was very rude, telling me he wasn’t taking reservations even though that wasn’t my request at all.

Amazing Italian restaurant with good prices and variety of choices💓 We had a fab visit yesterday in Soho. The waiters are absolutely lovely, very nice and friendly. Ordered two dishes: Garlic prawn tagliatelle and pistachio pesto with burrato and ham pizza. Pizza is definitely 10/10! It’s sooooo goood I’m confidence it’s one of the best in London. Crunchy crust and generous toppings. Pizza is freshly baked and served within 10min. Spaghetti is less impressive but still not bad, it would be better if the seasoning or flavour is stronger. I highly recommended this restaurant to everyone coz I’ll definitely coming back very soon to try other dish.

Lack of spice and very noisy, but pleasant

I would dare to say that they are the most delicious gnocchi I have ever tried, the sauce and the grated cheese, incredible!!! The spectacular Neapolitan pizza, just like the ones I tried in Italy. I only came to London for three days but I hope to return before I leave!!
