I always go with my husband and we love everything. From the food to the very warm service. It's our little piece of heaven in London. A find!

Used to visit here a lot years ago, great to see it still thriving. Fusilli alla Campagnola as good as I remember. Can’t ever find it anywhere else?! Super atmosphere, top service.

We were three adults, three children and a baby asleep in a buggy. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us without having to collapse the buggy and managed to fit us in. The service was friendly, the food was delicious and came quickly, and it was all very good value - around £11-13 for most pizza or pasta dishes. Generous portions and toppings. Buzzy atmosphere - crowded, quite loud music alongside animated conversation and an upbeat feel. Only slight drawback was the lack of a high chair when the one year old did wake up, but we managed. This was our second time at La Porchetta and we are glad to have found such a good and inexpensive restaurant in Soho. We will return again. I recommend the fusilli with zucchini, avacado and bacon - a delicious hint of Gorgonzola in the creamy sauce.

We've eaten here a few times over the years, the food is great and terrific value, the place is very unpretentious which is a bonus, it isn't a fine dining experience but it always has a busy and lively atmosphere and an authentic character.

While on our way to a restaurant elsewhere we came across this place which had people queued outside - waiting to be seated and it had a nice vibe to itself and the ambiance is very quirky. Managed by Italians, this place is very nice for pasta and their plate sizes have good portions. We ordered 5 different main dishes and 1 starters: 1) garlic bread - this was like a pizza but with no cheese and was not very tasty! 2) Insalata Di Pollo (Grilled Chicken Breast salad) - one of the most heaviest chicken salad i have had; the chicken was slightly grilled to its dry end but the plate size was humongous!! Loved it. 3) LINGUINE CREMA FUNGHI E TARTUFO - lovely pasta with cream , mushroom and truffle paste with extra cheese on top, grated at the table! Very authentic and delicious. 3) TAGLIATELLE SALMONE - salmon based pasta 4) mixed sea food Pasta which also was nice as well In addition, for drinks, 2 in our group had a small bottle of red wine and a negroni as well. The bill wasn’t bad and for 4 people was around £85/-

Brutal honest. Cheap food, big portions and low average quality. If you enjoy a place where reggaeton is blasting while the waiters are screaming and arguing in Italian you should definitely give it a try.

I think I have found my Italian place. The team very friendly and fast on servicing. The food is incredible and the price is great.

Cleaningspray on my cold calzone what a combination. Dont clean the tables with cleaning spray while someone next to it is eating… thy put back the calzone in the oven and it was okay… them my empty glass got taken away and get the bill without asking.. not what you call service

Good place right next to Chinatown, Italian food served by Italians, the very friendly owner invites you to come in, the food was delicious and abundant. A very good detail is that they grate the cheese to your liking at the table. It has left us very satisfied. We ordered a penne amatriciana and a tagliatelle salmone. We spent 35 pounds on 2 soft drinks and two pastas.

I usually don't like to write or anything like that but I ate there a few days ago after being there once and I have to say that I ordered a baked pizza as not a regular margarita like the one that fills it inside with stuff The taste was very bad, it was not cooked on the inside, the cheese was still hard and cold from the bricks and not melted, the pizza sauce was cold, you feel like you are eating something warm on the outside and on the inside, as if you took a pizza from the fridge. He was very resentful of the pizza and not the most happy to see him prepare the things, I wouldn't say he made my dish from the heart and it's an unpleasant feeling because you see him working What's most annoying is that I woke up in the morning with severe stomach pains and I won't say more because you probably know what I went through all morning, in any case it's a shame that it's like this, he won't go back there again

Great Italian food at a great price! I come here once every two weeks

I have come here frequently for years and love the place. My usual order is either Tagliatelle Salmone or Pecorina pizza. I could eat both of these daily. Upon my recent visit, I discovered my favourite member of staff 'Sergio' that had the best sense of humour, has left. This place is just not the same without Sergio. I'm sad, because I miss the banter and laughs he brought to the place.

We stopped by for a pre Theatre dinner and we wasn’t disappointed! We loved the restaurant, it was authentic and the staff were fun and attentive! The food was absolutely amazing, the best Pizza I’ve ever had! My Mum had the Chicken Salad which was huge, packed with Chicken, olives, Avocado, fresh tomatoes and balsamic and more! The fresh pasta dishes looked amazing and were huge too, you won’t go hungry! Thank you to the staff for a lovely evening and we will definitely be back :)

It should have been a five star instead of a four. Had to queue for around 20mins on a Saturday night, that’s not too bad for a Saturday night in central London. The pizza was amazingly fresh and delicious, very flavourful and the dough was easy to bite. Risotto was a bit bland, but it was alright after I added pepper and salt. Overall the biggest plus point of the food is the portion and price. The pizza is £12, and Rissoto is £13.50. Now, we were given seats at the basement which had no phone signal at all. Saw they they did have wifi connection but staff refused to give us the password. Personally i understand why they may not want the customers to have the wifi but it was quite disappointing as I urgently needed the wifi for a few quick emails. Overall I would definitely recommend this place, but just have your expectation that this is a four star instead of five.

Typical of many restaurants in London. You're paying a premium for the location and not the food. That being said the food was ok, but quite overpriced. In a large city like London, I have no doubt that there are better alternatives.

The best authentic Italian food you can buy....gorgeous staff and even more gorgeous pasta and pizzas, and the garlic pizza is a revelation(TONS of garlic in a tomatoe sauce)!!! I'm tempted nit to post this review just cos I don't want to wait any longer for a seat next time I go.

One of my favourite places to eat in Soho. The food is good and plentiful, and the atmosphere is loud and boisterous.

Generally La Porchetta is worth it for decent pricing in Central. But service is mixed, sometimes lovely other times so pissed off it feels odd paying for it! Today the staff were particularly arrogant. Laughing at customers in their face - assuming they don't speak Italian. Then big ass yawning, flirting, sulking. Not cool. Sort your people out because this place is really needed in Central! I've been coming to La Porchetta since the 80s, it used to be amazing, big time. Please do your best to uphold, you are loved, I and other Londoners need you xxxx

I was there just with friends honestly I would’ve recommended another Italian place. The customer service was extremely rude and inhospitable towards my party. The restaurant was quite empty And we wanted to move our table. The lady was so rude and arrogant that honestly it made me not even wanna return to this place. The food was good however, the bad customer service made it this terrible. The waitresses were also talking about our table very Noticeably. Honestly, just got to another Italian place that has better customer service.

This Italian restaurant has surprised me a lot I thought it was going to be the typical London one with a moderate proportion and also super expensive but I have pleasantly found one of the best Italian restaurants. Very fresh their food and delicious, I would definitely come back.

We have been in London for two days only and we came twice to this Italian restaurant. Besides the best food , they have the best staff. Try the lasagna , the spaghetti … the pizzas of coirse. ❤️ Lucca, Luigi and Luna - if you are in soho , you can skip the musical and come see these guys.

Perfect little pizzeria in heart of london

I've been to this place about 3-4 times. The food is always great, I always order tomato base sauce for pasta but I wanted to try something new and went for a creamy milk based one. I was really excited about it, but when I tasted it, I felt it was very salty although the sauce was quite lovely. I ate more than half of it just not to be rude for sending it back. I asked for my bill and saw a service charge was included, I didn't want to pay as the service was never ever good, the waitress is always with a neutral never smiling kind of face, haven't felt welcome ever since I came here the first time. When I said I didn't want to pay the service charge, she said something was wrong? I said yeah I felt that the pasta was a bit salty and didn't say anything because I don't want to be rude. She said that I should've told her if I didn't like it right before paying is not the time when I tell her in a very rude manner. I paid for my meal though I only removed the service charge. I wasn't even thanked for the visit after paying just an annoyed faced waitress. I have worked in hospitality myself but I've never been rude to customers because it's always customers first, they are always right. Very very bad experience @ service.

There is a lot of competition for good pizza in the centre of the capital and La Porchetta may win the prize. Busy venue with a friendly family vibe. Very fair prices.

Honestly how is this place real- cheap and huge portions in the middle of Covent Garden. And SO SO tasty. Meraviglioso.

Tiny restaurant but don’t let that put you off we’ve just come back from Italy and it was like we’d travelled back there! So authentic and the food was spot on, and it might be a small place but they certainly make up for the portions me and husband couldn’t finished it all, huge is an understatement, great service, great vibe!

I’ve been there twice now. Food is okay. Nothing special but worth the price. But to be honest, the staff are so RUDE. They try to be polite, but they aren’t. The only one who seems friendly is the pizza chef. He even says goodbye when we leave. The rest needs to improve their communication and politeness skills. Even the manager.

I was there two weeks ago, I needed a good Italian pizza after so many quick sandwiches, sandwiches, mac hamburgers in London... and I found Italian Pizza, the real ones!! Neapolitan!! What a discovery, truly rich, when I return I will repeat without a doubt. They are very friendly, it was TakeAway, we waited 12 minutes, everything in 10!

Was at a nearby show and wanted to eat Italian but don’t know many good places that aren’t chains. Saw this place and took a chance. So pleased we did it was excellent. We ordered a pizza, a pasta dish plus a beer and an Aperol Spritz all for £43. The service was very friendly. Will definitely come back.

The food was pasta per definition but it tasted and looked like the premade stuff you can buy at Tesco or whereever. The worst pasta I have had in a reataurant and I cannot imagine an italian chef was behind this. Generous portions though, but I think that is a way of «getting away» with the poor quality. Staff communicated by shouting and screaming. The restaurant has two floors and the upstairs and downstairs shouted messages to each other with no comsideration to the paying guests. They could be standing 10 inches away from you and screaming their lungs off. Very annoying ofcourse. I will not visit again but maybe other dishes are good. They also serve pizza.

After a long day in the office, a hearty meal was needed. Enough carbonara to feel a village for tenner?! In central London?! Do not mind if I do. And let me tell you. This meal went down the hole like a homesick mole. Absolutely delish. Alongside a bottle of (21) pinot, although previously horrifically reviewed, I was pleasantly suprised. Defo take a trip. Jim x

The waitress with long orange hair was rude... looked like she was about to throw a plate at us. She made us very unwelcomed and uncomfortable. Other servers were nice.The food was bad frankly saying. The bruchettas are served topped with a ton of tomatoes and it doesn't look aesthetic. Then the spaghetti tasted like those American-Italian fast food spaghettis at Olive Garden and I felt really unwell after eating it. i would give a 1 star but the manager was very apologetic and made up for the poor service. Bruchetta was nicely toasted and spaghetti was a huge portion, even though I didn't like it. As for food perhaps pizzas are better so I am giving it a benefit of a doubt.

Smashing little Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho. Food came out quick and was delicious. Buratta salad and a pizza did the two of us nicely. Super close to the theatres too, if you’re looking to fill up before a show.

The food is amazing. One of the best Italian places in London. Very delicious and big portions. However the waiteress who served us wasn't very kind, was even a bit angry. Downstairs was full and very loud music was on. Around 40-50 people was trying to talk to each other in a small closed space and the restaurant decided to put some loud pop music on to make it even worse. It was so chaotic that we had to leave as soon as we finish eating.

But i dont have much money and only get to go out once a month due to this. Im in lots of debt. I was really upset that they made me feel so super guilty to pay a service charge and then when asking to take it off the waiter who came out when i was having a vape (not leaving at this point) questioned me and embarrassed me when i asked and looked at me dirty and told me the manager needs to be called and when the manager came out said the service charge was because now i asked for a take away box to take my left overs. The service charge should be paid and that i should pay the service charge because i want to take my left over food home. Im so embarassed. Ill never come back. So rude. This is my only treat to have something to eat out once a month and im so shocked i got treated like this. To put a customer in this situation when not knowing there situation is beyond unprofessional and they should really think about the bigger picture rather then the extra couple of quid in there pocket.

Had evening meal here, Italy were playing at the time so a good atmosphere. Not a fancy place, but the food was good.
