Our evening got off to an unpleasant start. I visited with my family, who are in town, and we arrived a little early for our reservation. Unfortunately, the receptionist greeted us without a smile or a “welcome,” which immediately set a negative tone. When we asked if we could be seated, she glanced around and said, “Your table is not ready, can you wait at the bar?” That was fine with us, so we agreed and waited. While at the bar, we noticed a table being prepared and assumed it might be ours. We also saw several empty tables that were fully set but remained unoccupied. After 15 minutes, we saw a group of people who arrived after us being seated at the table that had just been prepared in the back of the room. After waiting for 20 minutes, I went back to the reception desk to check on our table. The receptionist, who was on her phone, seemed surprised and flustered, as if she had forgotten about us. Without offering any apology, she simply said, "We'll take you to your table now." To our disappointment, we were seated at a table right by the door—a table that had been empty the entire time we were waiting. It hadn’t even been set during our wait, which made us wonder why we were assigned this table, especially since we had arrived before others. Throughout the evening, the constant draft from the door opening and closing made our dining experience quite uncomfortable. While the food was decent, our excitement for the evening had already been diminished by the poor start and lack of hospitality. Overall, the receptionist’s attitude and lack of professionalism were disappointing and set a negative tone for the evening. A bit of warmth and attentiveness from the staff could make a big difference in creating a welcoming experience for guests.

Nice food but a little expensive for what it was.

I had high hopes for this place as the menu sounded great but it was such a disappointment. The garlic bread with tomatoes and basil tasted like they had poured it out straight out of the tin. The bread was so burnt at the bottom that even the waiter said it shouldn’t be like that but then didn’t do anything to rectify it. The waiter said pecorino romano cheese is made with cow’s milk until I asked him to check so I almost missed out on the bucatini carbonara. It was decent but I’d avoid the lasagne as it was had the same unseasoned tomatoes as the garlic bread. The ambience is nice but the food felt like Zizzi’s - just a lot more expensive.

The food was amazing, seriously so good and very generous portions. And thank you so much to Salma and Argens the service was great and i loved the recommendations it was lovely, definitely coming back soon 🤩

Where do I begin, from first entering the restaurant to exiting the whole experience was amazing, the service was top notch, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious and decent portions 😁

Food was really good, especially the pasta spaghetti special! Love the Aperol spritz and starters too. They sang happy birthday and brought a delicious tiramisu out. Good vibe and staff and pretty setting

This hotel has 3 restaurants and I went to their Italian one, Luciana, for a late lunch. It's practically across the street from the Courtauld Gallery so convenient for a nice, fine dining meal. The restaurant is bright and spacious, larger windows and a vibrant floral wall design (not chintz but tropical and jazzy). Comfortable chairs and tables spaced nicely apart from each other. There were many appealing menu options but since I didn't have a lot of time before my timed exhibition ticket at the Courtauld, the waiter recommended fettucine bolognese as the fastest entree which was fine.

Food was amazing and staff were lovely but the service was not the best - had to go up and ask after 45 mins if we could order our food as we had a show booked, we felt we then had to rush our food. This was such a shame as it was my first time at this Restaurant (and visiting from Cardiff) and was really looking forward to it with my friends and as I recommended we all go I felt awful.

It is one of the restaurants that caught my attention a lot. The waiters who work in this restaurant are very well prepared, just look up from the menu and someone will ask you if you are ready to order. Instead, what I didn't like was that while I was enjoying a very well prepared risotto, I soiled the table where I asked a manager to help me, but instead he brought some napkins that I simply covered what I had messed up.

Beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and ambience, and the best tiramisu ever! 😊 The Manager, at our visit on the 16/11/24 at 7pm, was exceptional, and very kindly sorted out a discrepancy. Looking forward to our next visit 😊

Disorganized staff leads to an extremely slow and unfriendly breakfast service. Not prepared to handle more than just a few tables.

Fantastic welcome. Great staff. Food was excellent and so was the wine. It’s a really lovely spot to enjoy an evening with your partner. Can’t wait to come back!

A wonderful Italian restaurant in the heart of London.

The food was very good , but there were a few minor issues regarding service. However very well sorted by the Maitre D. Would I go back ? Yes These things happen...didnt spoil us having a good time.

Nice restaurant, amazing atmosphere, professional staff, appetizers were amazing but the sea food pasta could be better as there were very little sea food in it.

The atmosphere and decor is so tranquil. The food was amazingly delicious and very good portions. The staff are so friendly and made you feel very welcome. Best Italian I’ve visited in Covent Garden.

What amazing treat from my 2 daughters on October 5th first Mama mia .. Then big surprise your restaurant .. The food was amazing .. the waiter charming .. atmosphere was great I had the time of my life .. at 77 years old .. Thank you Gino and waiters !

Not usually a fan of celebrity chef owned restaurants but this certainly lives up to the reputation of it's creator with authentic Italian food, comfortable lively interior and super friendly efficient service, reasonably priced for location and quality of food and service, will definately be dining here again

Booked a table for 4pm. Arrived in time but stood in waiting areas for several minutes and totally ignored by several members of staff. Will not visit again.

Came here with good quality Italian expectations however was very wrong, service was very good and drinks were well made and worth the price, however the food was awful, we was a group of 15, and not 1 person enjoyed it fully, seafood pasta is very bland, pizza was dripping with oil, and the braised beef was like chugging salt down my throat, was so bad that someone felt very ill and had too go too the toilet too be sick, chefs haven’t got a clue, can’t even present a decent pizza, all just a reality Tv joke, even the chef tasted it and agreed the saltiness was incredible, don’t go of your wanting good food 👎🏼

Pretty average. Good location for the theatres. We were seated next to another couple of a table for four despite six properly separated tables for two appearing available throughout our cover. Service was mediocre (both in terms of meal service and the fact someone dropped a plate next to us and nobody came to clean up the shards of porcelain). Food is fine I suppose, just very bland - you'd accept it from one of the chains on the strand, but at £33 for a seafood main (without sides) I want to taste something - even something to dislike would've been better. Feels like it's aimed at tourists and maybe instagrammable first dates - if that's your bag, for these prices just go the The Delaunay across the way.

The absolute worst experience we had during our time in London Unfortunately, our recent dining experience at Luciano's was underwhelming. The service was consistently inattentive, requiring us to refill our own wine glasses & water despite the waiter's presence. As we looked around we noticed several tables who also had been left unattended . Several even had to get the host to get their check. Additionally, two items we were looking forward to trying were unavailable. Given the prices and the restaurant's location, we cannot recommend this establishment ! _________ ** quick email response from Paula . Emailed her right back.. ... Hi Paula Thank you for the quick response to our review. Unfortunately there will not be a next time as this was our dinner to close our anniversary trip to London . We leave tomorrow morning and Unfortunately your restaurant left much to be desired and not at all the service that we expected based on recommendations from our hotel staff and Google reviews. We ate at very good restaurants while we visited ( several 2 and 1 Michelin star such as Dinner by Heston Blumental and Da Terra) restaurants as well as small local hidden gems but yours was an extreme disappointment. Our experience was summed up by my review.

Excited to have a meal here everything looked really good. Was so disappointed in the meals we had, they looked ok but absolutely no flavour I had the clam linguine and it just tasted like plain pasta my friend had sea food linguine and it was a watery tomato based sauce which we couldn’t detect chilli or garlic. Expensive and bland was our overall view. We also had to wait an hour for our meal and wonder if this caused the thrown together meals, we complained and received money off but no impression this was taken seriously.

I wish I could give it more stars. The food was exceptional, the staff excellent and we were made to feel like family. We were given advice and recommendations on the menu and had a delightful time! Strongly recommended.

The best part of service is Gianni, who was very hospitable. Food was great! The music is always on optimal levels and waiters are very polite.

This was our 5th visit and on arrival we were seated next to table where Gino and Fred Sirieix were seated. So as you can imagine the restaurant was busy as people wanted a photo/chat etc. We waited 10/15 minutes before ordering water and wine and waited a further 5 minutes for the wine to arrive. When the food arrived it was lovely. The starters of Ribs and Prawn cocktail were great. The meat just fell off the ribs. Mains followed and again no complaints. Food was great but due to the restaurant being busy ( which is great ) the service was not as efficient as on previous visits, saying that the servers were all nice. We had to keep asking for our wine to topped up and due to time constraints we were unable to order and enjoy the lovely cocktails at the end of the meal. Next time….Thank you

Renato it’s such and amazing guy

Sadly I was extremely disappointed in the food, I really had much higher expectations. I had the pork belly as the pork roast was not available. The waiter didn’t know this until he took our order to the kitchen. The pork belly I got was literally just a piece of fat on some spinach with pieces of beetroot. No presentation whatsoever. I barely touched it and told my waiter once he came to collect our plates that I really was extremely disappointed, he took it away and said “oh I am sorry”. He could see I had merely eaten the beetroot. He later offered me a complimentary cocktail which I did not want as one was my limit at lunch. We did order a sharing desert, which was just 2 individual tasters of 3 desert varieties. Not sure what was “sharing” about it. Again zero presentation. However quite tasty. Overall I felt extremely disappointed as I felt going here should have been an experience.. dare I say it.. like I’ve had at several of Gordon’s restaurants! Sorry Gino !

I have been twice already. Food is amazing, place looks great, service is exceptional. Daniel served us and was great. Everyone is really nice, and it really was a perfect evening.

Really special meal. The staff made us feel so welcome and they were so attentive. The food was delicious and atmosphere perfect. Very happy and very full now!

Very good food, but the service was a bit slow.

Had lunch here 9 October. My Caprese was served with Heritage tomatoes which were very ordinary plum tomatoes together with chunks of very under ripe green tomatoes and some yellow tomatoes. There was no dressing. I had to ask the waiter for olive oil. Have a look at Gino’s video to see how to prepare this dish properly. When I mentioned the inedible green tomatoes to the waiter he I was patronisingly given a lecture on the difference between green and red tomatoes. My wife and I had Linguine Vongole. This was served smothered in roast plum tomatoes which completely ruined the taste of this classic dish. Once again, refer to Gino’s recipe where there is not a tomato in sight. All in all a very disappointing experience. I feel certain Gino would be appalled if he saw the way these classic dishes were prepared.

Food absolutely fabulous. Tables close together but luckily we had nice people sitting two inches from our table. Service not up to par with repeated requests even for drinks, staff being told off in view and large wine served even without checking on size requirement.

We don’t often write reviews but we felt that Luciano deserved our feedback! This is the 3rd time we have dined here and on 2 occasions have been served by Ali. The food is delicious and the service is top class! Ali was very welcoming and served us with a smile, he couldn’t do enough for us and made our dining experience extra special. I love Lucianos and I go there often. The food is delicious, the restaurant is beautiful and has a really nice vibe but I specifically come back for Gianni every time, he is such a nice person! The service at Lucianos is perfect, from reception to the kitchen, and Gianni is just amazing. 6 stars out of 5 for Gianni!

The food was delicious, and overall, the staff was friendly, especially the host and the gentleman who brought our lemon, Parmesan, and ketchup—they both provided excellent service. Unfortunately, our server’s behavior was a stark contrast. He was incredibly rude, even questioning my choice of order and acting unsure about whether they had grapefruit juice, despite it being listed on the menu. Additionally, he said they didn’t have bags for takeout and was reluctant to pack the mashed potatoes I ordered. His overall hesitancy and dismissive attitude completely ruined the experience. We dined closer to 10 PM, and while we understand it was late, his poor service significantly detracted from the evening. My reservation was under the name Franklin, and I hope management addresses this issue swiftly. Having dined all over London, I’ve never encountered such pretentious and inconsiderate service. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident. The video shows the person I’m discussing here with really bad attitude.

Lovely place, and very nice food.

It’s my mom and I’s first time here in London. We were unsure where to eat since there were so many places to choose from. Our concierge at our hotel recommended Luciano as an amazing place to eat. We got lucky getting a reservation and we had one of the best dining experiences thus far in London. Food was delectable, the atmosphere was intimate yet lively and our server, Ali, we truly believe he made our dining experience that much better. Would love to dine here again!

Popped in for a drink at the bar. Nice décor and atmosphere. Cocktails were great, some Gino inspired names were fun! Friendly and attentive service. From afar the food looked good, will certainly have to return to see if it tastes as good as it looked!

Went today for a belated Birthday lunch with my daughter.Amazing decor and ambiance throughout.Spacios,comfortable and relaxing.Staff friendly,,knowledgable and attentive.An extensive menu covering all tastes.The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious.The complimentary Prosecco went down a treat.How lovely to have a Happy Birthday candle and all the waiters singing Happy Birthday as well.A truly memorable lunch.We loved every second.Thank you so very much.

My wife booked me a surprise table at Gino's Restaurant the place & atomosphere was first class along with the food & general service. Our waiter /steward Gianni was superb , nothing was too much for him & his knowledge friendliness made our wedding anniversay meal really special. Great experience !!

Excellent Italian food, most particularly the salads and pasta. Lovely cocktail menu and wine list. Service was a little too slow to have pre-dinner dessert but the experience was worth it. A fine touch of theatre district elegance.

Visited on a Sunday evening, arriving earlier than our table reservation but we were still warmly welcomed and seated promptly. We have visited this restaurant multiple times and it has never disappointed. The service was excellent and the food fresh with quality ingredients. The octopus and the steak with both delicious and the steak cooked to perfection. On this occasion we were celebrating a birthday and staff went above and beyond for our celebration. Already looking forward to our next visit. If it is a Sunday we will try and get there earlier so we can try the roast dinner as it was only served until 6pm

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. The food was absolutely delicious, the only thing letting it down is the service. It took an hour from receiving dessert menus to pay and leave the restaurant (we didn't have dessert as no one came to ask what we wanted). After requesting the bill it was another 20 minutes before I got up and asked someone to come and take our payment as no one was interested in our table. We were surrounded by tables drinking expensive wine that couldn't get enough of the waiters attention so this was very disappointing.

Beautiful venue, superb faultless service from the team, and delicious food. I just wish I had saved space for a desert. The decoration in the main dining room is beautiful. There seemed to be lots of parties of ladies but no issues - it’s close to theatre land, hence our visit. We will definitely return and have recommended to our son.

We went as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. The food was awful. I would not recommend this restaurant. We had to wait ages for the food to come and we it did two meals were sent back.

I’ll keep it short The place is lovely, nice decor, calm relaxing atmosphere. Sat there twiddling my fingers waiting for service (only a few tables were occupied), finally arrived, ordered starters, took a little more time but ok fine…Now after that lord, nothing, I mean absolutely nothing, sat there, an just sat there, finally someone comes round cleans the table asking if I’m ready for my mains, at which point my frustrated an kinda full from my starters. Nevertheless I thought I’d wait to see how my lobster linguine would turn out. Lord was I waiting, a waiting, I finally lost patience an appetite an asked for the bill. I’m assuming it’s the manager that came round, to tell me that he’s looked at the computer to see it “only” been 1hour … like seriously, 1hour?!, I’ve ordered 1bottle is water, garlic bread with mozzarella an it’s normal to wait from that till my mains?! Unacceptable, it doesn’t take an hour from the starters till your mains to arrive I’m sorry, considering that you weren’t even half full. Total shame as I was looking forward to the mains as the starters were good Will not be going back ! Just a quick update. Did reply back, 2weeks, absolutely nothing. Yet another attempt to look like they care, clearly not.

Yesterday I have been to Luciano and I have been impressed from the greeting and the service. I had a spaghetti with vongole was amazing and the service was fast and quick, despite the restaurant was very busy. Andy the bartender was lovely and friendly and also Mandy was also friendly and attentive throughout my meal.

The rooms were cozy, well-decorated, and offered all the amenities we could ask for and the leo was helped so much

I went to lucianos and I had the best time with my friends, the food was amazing and we had a large lovely Allan looking after us which made us very comfortable and happy. We had a lovely experience and we will definitely be back soon.

Daniel was our host and waiter. He looked after us so well and saw to our every need. The food was sublime, so delicious. It was my birthday and my dessert was served with a candle and a song! Lovely surprise!

We had a lovely time today at Lucianos, Carmen was a very sweet young girl who served us very nicely and was very patient with us. I really liked the atmosphere and enjoyed a lovely time with my friend. I will definitely come back soon.🙂

It was my second time in Luciano and I have to say the quality of food and service never let me down. Our server, Roland's recommendation and service was excellent. If you can, have a delicious cocktail in the radio rooftop bar after or before your meal as the view is fascinating .

We booked Luciano’s for my 65th birthday. We were warmly greeted and made to feel very welcome. The service and the food were exceptional. I have been before and I will definitely visit again as it’s so memorable. Lovely touch (and totally unexpected) is the staff sang happy birthday to me. The location is great and they don’t crowd you in so the ambiance is perfect. Cocktails were amazing

Dining at this restaurant was a delightful experience from start to finish. Valeria's warm welcome at the front door set the tone for the evening, and Terrel's attentive service and expertly crafted drinks made the meal truly memorable.

We went for our anniversary with out son..we were very excited about it. absolutely gorgeous inside.. brilliant service,and on the whole the food was great.. unfortunately my husband had the meatballs with a side of roast potatoes..he found it quite bland.. especially the potatoes..so was quite disappointed..my son had the seafood pasta which was amazing.we also had a lovely bottle of wine..we found the bill a bit expensive at £270 for 3 people,and noticed a £35 pound service charge which seemed a lot. Unfortunately we didn't want to complain as it was our anniversary.
