Fantastic place, top class food quality! Very good!!

Looks nicer than the experience. I asked for a gluten free version of their English breakfast and was told I can only have the bacon, mushroom, grilled tomato and the beans. To my surprise they brought the plate with no beans. I also had to remind them about the extras I ordered which they did bring on two separate waves. The server asked who has which drink but placed it wrong anyway, and the men’s toilets were vile (one hasn’t been descaled in years and one fully clogged) The cherry on top - we were last order for breakfast service and they started taking the trash out through the restaurant and changing table cloths whilst chewing gums and with headphones in. Not to mention the vacuuming 2 tables away from us. All in all, not what you expect from a restaurant attached to a 5 star hotel. Always a goof time watching Gino on TV but eating at his place , not so much

Without doubt one of our favourite restaurants in town. 5 minutes walk from temple tube station. The staff are amazing, the food is top notch, and you never know who may pop in to say hi !! ❤️🇮🇹

A group of 5 of us met up to have a meal before heading off to the theatre. We were given a warm welcome and pointed to our table where some of our party had already sat. The food arrived and was delicious but not plentiful for the price being paid. Interestingly, we had to ask for spoons, as forks do not make it easy to pick up the sauce that accompanied our beef! Is 7 pieces of decent sized cubed beef value for £25.50 accompanied by three small cold toasted pieces of bread? No ice or lemon was offered with the water, and it was a cursery, 'Is everything alright?', when were were almost at the pont of clean plates. In fairness, when the plates were cleared, a more sincere check was made that we had enjoyed our food - we had. To then get a team members attention to pay the bill ended required one of us getting up from the table, walking to the bar to actually ask for it. The food was excellent but pricey for the amount on the plates, and we found the service sadly lacking. Give it a second chance? The jury is still out on that, which is a shame as we had high expectations.

First time visitor here and was very impressed as were my quests. The food was presented well and good size portions. Most importantly the staff were excellent from our welcome through to the service . Cant believe I've missed this one so will be re visiting for sure .

We went for my sister's birthday lunch and had an amazing time. The food was excellent- very good lunch menu. The service was exemplary, our server Carmine was attentive and very professional. We were given a complimentary cake with a candle and Carmine sang happy birthday 🎂. Will definitely be returning - soon.

Lovely restaurant. Absolutely delicious food! The special ravioli was devine and I really enjoyed the ambiance and decor. It’s a great location and a fab treat before the theatre…I’d recommend-

Party of one so I sat at the bar and had a spica margarita to start. It comes in a cute little petite cup and packs a punch. I order One of the specials from the middle of the menu which was the ravioli with shrimp and a side salad for some veggies. They were both delicious. I which the ravioli came with a couple more and the dressing in the salad should be bottled it was so good. The service to start was little slow I guess because I sat at the bar. It picked up once I started making direct eye contact and ordering actual food. The tiramisu for dessert is light and delicious. I would come back if I was I the area.

My husband and I watch Gino D’acampo’s Cooking show all the time in Canada. His recipes always look soo yummy. So while in London we decided to visit his restaurant Luciano. Everything was amazing. The decor, the service and of course the food. I want to go back.🤍🇬🇧

This visit was, as always, a very enjoyable experience. That said, we arrived on time and were told that our table had already been given to someone else. This meant we had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated. This wasn’t acceptable. Despite this, our meal was wholly enjoyable and of the expected standard, and our meal was subsidised by the restaurant. I would certainly recommend, as this seems to have been a blip rather than a norm, given my regularly good experiences here.

I had a birthday celebration there. The food was excellent. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. I had a great time.

Had an amazing breakfast at this spot, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on toast was perfectly balanced—light yet rich in flavor. The English breakfast was hearty and well-prepared, with every element cooked to perfection. On top of the incredible food, the service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and welcoming. A fantastic way to start the day, and definitely a place worth returning to!

Excellent experience! I was in this restaurant for the first time and I was thrilled. The atmosphere is welcoming and with attention to detail, with perfect lighting and elegant furnishings. The staff was friendly and very professional! I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-level dining experience!

I had the pleasure of having dinner in this restaurant and I was really impressed by the warm and professional welcome which immediately made us feel at ease. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a sincere smile and escorted to our table with courtesy. The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant but informal, ideal for a relaxing evening. The service was impeccable.

Had a lovely meal here, would recommend highly! The Ravioli was so flavoursome and fresh! I love the design of the restaurant and the waitress we had was very welcoming and friendly.

Over priced massively Garlic bread x 2. 1 pizzas ( so thin and soggy it was nearly impossible to eat ) left most of it 1 spaghetti Bolognaise ( tastes like cheese , didn’t have any on it and not meat ) left most of it Wasn’t even asked if everything was ok So disappointed as it was our wedding anniversary 1 steak 2 cokes £250 !!!!! Couldn’t believe it

Absolutely lovely, came for my sons birthday and they couldn't have made it more special with a candle and singing. Didn't have a reservation but even though they looked super busy the lovely lady at the door managed to get us a seat. Even though it was busy, service was still superb (thanks daniel) and drinks and food were amazing, I had the slow cooked beef, my wife had the sea bass . Will be back soon.

The meat I ordered was too (too!) salty, I didn’t want to complain, as it was a birthday evening, but it was very disappointing and it ruined the whole impression of the place. Visited on 17/12/2024.

I love going to Lucianos. I usually take my clients there but I have also been with friends. The food is delicious, well presented, and the menu is varied yet specific (amazing Italian food but not the "basic" kind at all). The service is great, makes you feel special, I even have my favourite waiter there (hey Gianni!) and the location is perfect, not bang in the middle of Covent Garden so you're not surrounded by crowds all the time. I would say this is more of an adult place, I've never seen families there (and I'm not mad about it!) One of my favourite addresses in London.

A fantastic Italian restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and seamless from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors; the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the desserts were irresistible. The restaurant’s décor added to the charm, creating a cozy yet elegant dining experience. Although it was lively, the ambiance remained pleasant, making it an ideal spot for a pre-theatre meal. we have been there for a dinner with the family . we are quite happy with their services and the food was excellent. Mr Ali was very good with his services and very polite actually all staff is very good. we were very impressed with the quality of work. It was just ok. The service provided at the restaurant was to the standard of which you would expect. Friendly, fast & efficient and if you wish to arrive early due to bad weather like we did, there is a bar within the hotel next door that is easily accessible (2 Cocktails ~ £45). The food just wasn't up to par with my expectations really. We opted for the Tre Cicchetti (3 starters for 2 people) it was all just very basic with the bread being rock hard on 2 of the dishes. I opted for the Fettuccine Bolognese, which while it was ok, didn't blow me away. My partner opted for the Seafood Linguine which lacked flavour and the squid was near inedible due to chewiness. Considering the price point as well as the quality of the food, we probably won't return - we both agreed that whilst the drinks, service and decor were all good, there's no point going to a restaurant again where we didn't enjoy the food. Mixed Starters, 2 mains & bottle of white wine ~ £112

Carbonara was disappointing. Under cooked pasta was the last thing we expected.

Lasagne was very good but the wild boar Ragu was terrible, just watery pasta with very little wild boar and no flavour.

Don’t waste your money! My partner and I decided to treat ourselves this Valentine’s and go to a more expensive/posh restaurant than we would normally. The food was a disappointment from beginning to end. Especially considering it was so expensive - our expectations were high and by the end it felt as though we’d been robbed. We started with some focaccia - the worst focaccia I’ve ever had. It was just an ordinary hard, toasted baguette sliced up and put on a serving platter. It was supposed to come with “baby plum tomatoes” - there wasn’t a tomato in sight. When we asked the waiter, he tried to tell us the bread was cooked with tomatoes and then removed before serving … so either the menu was completely misleading, or he was just trying to cover their backs. Next, we had some arancini balls which were described as “FILLED with slow cooked beef ragu” - the amount of beef ragu was so small we could hardly see it - genuinely smaller than a pea’s worth. The rest was just rice. Again, entirely misleading. £13.50 for a couple small lumps of rice. For mains we both had slow cooked wild boar pasta - it was fine, but very ordinary. Not worth £25 at all. I would expect something of that level to cost around £13 tops. For dessert we shared a chocolate fondue cake - which was small. Again, it was fine, but very ordinary. The service was fine, but minimal and not warm, not what you would expect from such an expensive restaurant. The restaurant itself was well presented, but very loud and the tables of 2 squeezed tightly together. Overall, it was a disappointment from start to finish. More expensive doesn’t equal a better experience or food! We’ve certainly learnt that lesson!

Had a pleasant evening a lovely lady served us through the whole time and was so polite even how she carried herself and spoke to others didn’t catch her name but we was there from 19:40 onwards and she had long black hair she needs recognition as this is what makes your night and a pleasant time to want to come back thank you so much our booking was under Hayden .

My friend and I ate here Wednesday evening and the food was super tasty and HOT which I have to say is a very pleasant change from most places. So well done and will definitely be back.

Amazing gluten-free menu with so many gf pasta dishes. I was spoilt for choice.

To start my seat had crumbs on it? The Calzone was very wet with to much Tomato. Sea bass was ok. Cheesecake was ok. For these 3 items and a water and Hugo with a coffee it was £120 so not cheap.

Luciano really made a good night a great night! The food was delicious and the hostess Simrit made sure we were comfortable and welcome. The restaurant looks very nice and the waiter Ali had some great suggestions on the menu and was nothing less than exemplary much like their food!

Avoid at all costs Overpriced Food is abysmal

I saw the Gino D’Acampo name and I decided to go inside. Because Gino is always boasting on BBC how to make a great carbonara. So luckily for me that was on the menu. I must say that this is one of the best carbonara’s I had in my life. And I’ve been around. Wonderful, this is how it should be made. The wine, the water, not cheap, but one is in London in a nice setting.

Our waiter, Ali, and hostess, Simrit were completely amazing and made the night comfortable when coming in for a late evening dinner. The menu suggestions and food were simply amazing.

Such a shame as myself and my partner were really excited to try this restaurant and I unfortunately regret taking my partner here to celebrate his new job. We were sat on a table right in the corner where the till/iPad was situated for the restaurant staff, and was sat too closely to another couple sharing the “sofa” on one side of the table. This would be great for a seating of four, but we felt very awkward talking so closely to the other customers and we’re continuously interrupted by restaurant staff coming to the till/iPad. We also couldn’t enjoy the lovely decor of the restaurant as we were sat almost hidden in the corner. Albeit my partner enjoyed his main (margarita pizza), but both our starters and my main was below satisfactory. The calamari was very rubbery, and the bruschetta actually lost me for words. The tomatoes were more like a salsa, finely diced and hardly no flavour. My main, again, was below satisfactory for the prices paid. The beef was meant to be a ragu, instead I was served a lump of what looked like dog meat (as shown in the picture), which was very dry and distasteful. On a side note, I had put in the special requests box (when making the reservation) that it was a special occasion and although it isn’t guaranteed or mandatory, it would have been nice, and doesn’t cost anything, for just a simple congratulations but just proved no one actually read the booking. Our waiter was lovely, however we was not offered a dessert menu and waited over 20 minutes to be seen again to which we had admittedly become fed up and just wanted to pay the bill and go. Furthermore, upon reading other reviews stipulating the same thing, I think more training should be given to the ladies checking guests in as in my own experience, and clearly in others, they appeared uninterested and lacked customer service skills. I unfortunately would not visit again and would discourage others from attending.

Hi, we arrived at the Lucchiano restaurant following the recommendation of an Italian guy from the hotel's concierge. Spacious restaurant, pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. The food was simply excellent! From the first courses to the desserts and in addition a children's menu (up to the age of 11) and great flexibility for them. I especially recommend the Tartufo Spaghetti that comes to the couple in a special serving to the table and also the amazing Profiteroles. Thanks to Rento for the excellent service!

Food was pretty non description for the price. Service was average. Girl on the front desk was uninterested when I suggested the ladies toilets should have hooks on the doors. Who wants to put their handbag on the floor of a toilet.

A fabulous dining experience in the heart of Aldwych—conveniently located in front of the Waldorf! It's surprisingly good value for a celebrity restaurant. We will definitely return the next time we pass through London.

The food (bar the beef as shown in photos) was lovely, but the service was appalling. Wrong drink brought for my son as the first issue, drinks order took a long time / not offered (he came and offered to take the food order first and I said can we order drinks please - we already had the still water bottle which was offered as we sat down via teh host). Then there was confusion and a discussion about my son's drink despite it being on the menu (orangade), my red wine was not brought with the other drinks nor communicated as to where it was. I had to go and ask, the waiter then said "he's trying to find a bottle of it" when it was brought there was no apology. No top up offered of drinks at all, I went to the bar to order another glass. Then the main issue being my mother's roast - she said when ordering: are there any root vegetables, I don't like them. He said: no just potatoes and brocolli, we checked twice more once whilst he was still doing the order to clarify "no carrots etc." are you sure? And he said yes yes, just potatoes and brocolli. We thought we'd best check again when they orangade mess up happened and again he assured us, it was fine no root vegetables. The mains arrived, my son had ordered chips and buttered peas with his chicken - he got brocolli (not even on the kid's menu as a side option!) my mother had her plat put down with swede, carrots and parsnips smach bang in the middle of the plate. We said no, we asked three times for no root veg, they took the plate away never explaining, but apologising for another mess up, that they were going to re-do the whole thing. We would have been happy given how long we'd waited overall and had a show to get to, to just take it off ourselves or for them to replate with the other food. When the manager came over to apologise, she assured us it would be 3 mins and that they have to take the plate and re-do when they take. 10 mins and the new dish arrives, with the beef in this state (photos) raw in parts, full or fat and utterly unedible. Even the table next to us were appalled and said they would not eat it.They offered to re-do it again which we refused given how much time was lost. The first cut of beef plated was perfect and they just binned it due to their poor service error and a terrible waiter who had messed up so much of our orders. Never returning - my advice to you is learn how to communicate better with your guests. Would you like some drinks, would you like some more drinks, I'm sorry the wine is coming, we're just grabbing a new bottle, would you like some sauces etc. it's so simple. To add: the restaurant was circa 30% capacity, it was less than this when we first arrived. They did take 50% off the bill and no charge for the organage, or the two mains with issues. My pasta and scallops were wonderful.

Apart of the good service( still left £40 tips) and wine nothing was not even average... Carbonara served were cooked at least 10 min before they ve been served, there was no "creamy pecorino" but cooked eg. The pizza was like a piece of ruber and the Ferrero Rocher chocolate cheesecake was just a normal cheesecake with a Ferrero praline beside it. There is no point to speak about the steak... So Mr. Owner, you need to find a chef ASAP or Gino D'acampo will be very upset

Beautiful venue, tastefully furnished and decorated, creating a lovely dining experience. Mixed with unbelievably good Italian food - i could literally taste Italy in the tomatoes - and wonderful service - i could not fault it, and we will definitely be back again.

On arrival we were left for a long time at the table without any drinks and the restaurant was almost empty so no reason for it …. Average food. Seafood pasta, sea bass was amazing as well as mussels. Bruschetta not grilled enough almost too soft and too dry but when they found out that it was not very good they did not charge us for it. Unfortunately we did not look for free food but for very good food. Sorry. Overall decor very nice and welcoming with cosy soft furnishings and impeccable white table cloths. Renato saved the day but the experience was lacking something overall.

This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. My husband and I were staying at the ME hotel, breakfast is served in Lucino’s. It took quite some time for the waiter to take our order, we both ordered eggs royal, coffee and tap water. We had to ask a second time for the water as it did not arrive. The table next to us had their food arrive at the table, they reminded the waiter that they had asked for water twice already and it still had not arrived. The unenthusiastic waiter replied ‘ok’ and walked off still not serving water! I ended up giving them the remainder of our bottle of table water. The food arrived, mine had a long hair lying across the top it, the waiter said they would replace it. My husband then cut into his eggs, one was rock hard, completely over cooked. The second was raw. Raw egg white run all over his plate. My replacement eggs arrived, I was shocked to find they were cold. Not just Luke warm cold, but fridge cold! The muffin, eggs and sauce all fridge cold. Clearly they do not cook orders fresh to order, but reheat to order. Except someone forgot to heat mine up. We decided we did not want to waste anymore time in lucianos and would need to get breakfast elsewhere. We complained to the waiter whom seemed disinterested. The manager was within earshot and approached the table but was just smiling and nodding. She was not shocked on hearing that the food fridge cold, did not offer an apology and seemed to agree with us on how terrible it was. Luciano’s was appalling! If staying at ME hotel DO NOT BOOK BREAKFAST!

Rude waiter and zero service (Ignored, Arrogant, no offer of parmesan cheeses, olive oil etc had to ask and wait, we went to desk to settle) , Starter (Bruschetta) was tasteless.

An absolute gem of a restaurant! The whole experience is fantastic! The decor is fantastic and even the toilets are classy! Food and drink amazing, and too cheap in my opinion. This is one of London's best kept secrets, and should be visited!

This was our second visit, and it was just as good as our first. Service is excellent, attentive but not intrusive. Food is superb, portions good size. Highly recommended.

Me and my partner Tim went to the london restaurant last night and it was lovely, great food , reasonably priced and I have to say the high light was our waiter Ali , what a guy , so funny and made us feel at ease. Loved him , thank you 😊

Stunning place, delicious food (I recommend the Rib Eye), excellent wine list and delicious tiramisu. I thank Renato infinitely for the fantastic welcome, we had a great time! A truly great dinner and evening. We will return here next time in London. SPOT ON!

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and great food.

Was recommended by the hotel concierge and had reservations. Young Lady at desk was warm and welcoming. We were seated in a half empty dining room toward the kitchen. After about 15 min we were greeted by a gentlemen in a suit who delivered the menus and disappeared, he returned after a while and begrudgingly took our order. We were brought out a very nice anti pasta after about 45 min, the gentleman did apologize for the wait. We had to find a server to get some olive oil for the bread. Dinner was brought out later still and it was no more than ok. The lasagna was decent , the eggplant was cooked well, but overpowered by a pancetta flavor. We watched servers dote on other tables and repeatedly return to the tables to check on their guests. I cannot say the same. Finally another worked asked if we were done, and we asked for the check. The bill was dropped with a bold Line - total. A smaller print lighter ink- optional 13% server fee- and the total in bold print When the worker return for the credit card I said only charge the first fee- he shocked that we wouldn’t pay the optional fee for service that was poor. I said well we were forgotten back here and we were quite unhappy. He sheepishly smiled and agreed. Very disappointing and we made sure to let the hotel manager know about the experience.

Recently dined here with my husband before going to see a show in the west end. First impressions were really good. The restaurant was decorated lovely and the staff were welcoming but unfortunately that's all I can really say positive about the place. The food was very bland and nothing special despite the price we paid for it. Also they got my starter order wrong, but I was still happy to eat what was brought instead. I feel the portion size was okay for mine but my husband was still left hungry after his. Also service was very rushed.Our starters arrived less than 5mins from ordering. Very disappointed.You are just paying for the 'name' of the restaurant.Honestly had nicer food in my local pub. I have given 3 stars due to the appeal and look of the place and for the staff.

This is a lovely restaurant in a wonderful location. Definitely lives up to the expectation. We were served by Daniel who was an excellent server and did everything he could to give us a top notch experience. Would love to return!

Visited for my friend's birthday. Had a bit of trouble finding the restaurant initially my phone was directing me to 330Strand which was in fact incorrect. On arrival however it was a lovely experience. The restaurant was extremely quite but our reservation was for 3pm so not surprising really. We chose the 3 course set lunch menu and we were also able to take advantage of the January sale which was excellent. My friend had calamari to start followed by bolognese and then tiramisu. I had bruschetta, and amazing chicken in cream sauce and gelato to finish. Dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The set menu even included a complimentary drink and we chose Prosecco and an Aperol Spritz. My friend was delighted when presented with a happy birthday plate. Really lovely experience and will definitely return.

Our evening at Luciano by Gino D’Acampo on The Strand looked promising with its elegant décor and festive atmosphere but quickly turned disappointing. Service lagged from the start, with overwhelmed waitstaff causing delays. My food arrived burnt and inedible, and although replaced at no charge, the delay ruined the meal’s timing. The rest of the food was mediocre, failing to meet expectations for such a high-profile restaurant. Other diners around us had also expressed dissatisfaction. I was contacted for a review by OpenTable, on doing so, I was asked to contact a staff member for further discussion, but after multiple follow-ups, I received no response, suggesting insincerity in their public assurances. Overall, what was meant to be a joyful evening turned into a frustrating and unsatisfactory experience. This restaurant could truly learn from the Orange Tree Bar & Grill Restaurants in Staffordshire & Cheshire. Now that’s a restaurant where excellent service and quality food are the norm!

We finished theatre across the street and needed a bite. The restaurant is beautiful! It ends there. Staff are disinterested, service was slow. Maybe its the location and full of theatre goers not interested in eating good food. Dunno. Food was ok. I’d only go back if i had nowhere else to go

Mr. GIOVANNI a 10 in attention, a professional, attentive, detail-oriented, polite. In short, we loved the restaurant. He called us in Spain, spoke with my husband, suggested a reservation for the end of the year, very good attention.

This restaurant out to be featured in Gordon Ramsey's Hell's kitchen. The services is terrible, we waited 45 minutes before getting our drinks and services was constantly poor throughout the night. Food is average at best.

After visiting the wonderful Monet exhibition we crossed the road to Gino’s London restaurant. It’s not a trattoria price wise but you can order pizza at a reasonable price. We had excellent pasta shared a nice starter and many thanks to our our waiter Renato who helped an enjoyable luncheon visit

We had fantastic food and great service even though it was very busy.

The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

We had diner for a very special event for us at Luciano. However, it was a total disappoinment. The service quality was quite low for such a restaurant. Food served before wine.. And the taste was nothing special. Two of us ordered the same pasta and the food served in different sizes. Carbonara was far away from the original recipe. And the prices were very high in return to what you get.

Hi Very disappointed tonight We have been multiple times when in London Tonight maybe it was the day after Christmas and the freshness and staff wasn’t the same We had to return the carbonara as there was no sauce to it and just dry The other dishes were ok but not the usual quality We explained the carbonara issue to the waiter and he took the feedback to the chef Disappointing Chris

I visited Luciano’s for Christmas lunch and had a pleasant experience. Our server Kate was extremely attentive and made our experience once we sat down very enjoyable. Negatives were: Had a 3pm booking, didn’t get sat until 3:40pm. Food was good but for the set menu cost, I was expecting amazing.

Dont go if you are expecting good service. This restaurant ruined my birthday! It’s noisy, the staff is rude (I am not sure if it is because of I am asian, cause I saw the staff keep chatting with other customers and they seems good, but another table who are chinese are facing similar issues with us.) There is no service in the restaurant. I wait for half an hour for taking order, one of them came and said she will comeback in a second then I had never seen her again. After the main, a manager took away my dishes and me and my boyfriend are expecting the dessert menu. We wait for them for half an hour, no one provided it to us. The more important thing is, during the whole dinner, the waiter were keep kicking my chair! They just pass away and didn't say anything to me! Even not a sorry! Thats just take a second! If you guys don't want any bad experience with your date/birthday/any celebration don't go! Thats really bad!

Great food. Outstanding carpaccio - on a par with or even better than Harry's Bar in Venice. Spaghetti with creamy black truffle sauce melts in your mouth - one of the best pastas ever. Wild mushroom risotto is outstanding. Service before the theater can get a little forgetful but only a minor comment. Just be sure to remind your waiter as the time limit approaches.

Buzzy vibrant environment with good food and attentive staff

Me my wife and my mum had lunch at Lucianos recently for my mums birthday celebration. My mum turned up slightly later than us and was told there was not booking in our name even though we were sitting at the table how does someone forget that after 10 minutes, which shows no attention to detail. The service was average, every member of staff looked unhappy and don't remember anyone smiling, you have to ask for everything rarely did our waiter come to us. The waiter never told us the specials also never told us what dishes were not on and the one I chose was not on so had to quickly choose another. The food was OK mine was a bit cold probably because it was sitting on the pass for so long, 45 minute wait for our food. It is expensive for what it is, 3 bowls pasta, 1 garlic bread, 1 zucchini fritters, 1 vanilla ice cream, 3 coffees and a bottle of chianti which again was just an ok wine, was £177 inc a £21 service charge for really average service and food. I am not adverse to paying the money but would have expected better. The decor and ambience was nice but the rest of the meal and service just average. I would not go back.

We travelled across London to visit this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend, but unfortunately, our experience was thoroughly disappointing for several reasons. Firstly, the staff appeared completely disorganised. Our waiter looked dishevelled, as though he’d turned up after a heavy night out—bloodshot eyes and an inability to focus on what we were saying. Every time we ordered something from the menu, he seemed confused, asked us to point to it, and then lost interest, gazing around the room instead of paying attention to us. We ordered cocktails and water, but once we’d finished them, no one came to offer refills or check on us. One drink was all we got. We asked for our garlic bread and mozzarella starter to arrive with the mains, but it didn’t. When the bread came early, it was just plain warm bread—no trace of garlic. We called over a waitress to explain that it didn’t taste of garlic and we asked for it with our mains, and she simply removed the dish, saying she’d let the kitchen know. There was no further communication until ten minutes later, when another garlic bread arrived—again as a starter again. This time it had a slight garlic flavour but still no mozzarella. By this point, we’d given up, we felt like we were speaking a different language. To make matters worse, the staff waited until we’d finished the bread to bring our mains, and they removed the leftover bread from the table without leaving it for us to finish. The mains themselves were decent, but by then, the overall experience had soured the experience. We still hadn’t been offered more drinks or checked on during the meal. Finally, it took us ten minutes to flag someone down to pay, only to find a £17 service charge had been added to our bill. We paid but received no “thank you” or inquiry about how our meal was—just a complete lack of basic courtesy or personality. Overall, we left feeling thoroughly unimpressed.
