We found ourselves almost by chance, but as soon as we entered we felt at home, neo-melodic music, and really nice staff. YARA welcomed us, truly up to the task, and advised us on what to order. What to say……. Like staying at home 🏠 in Italy. We will definitely see each other 🥰 A thousand thanks . Super recommended to all Italians

Dopo aver girovagato per Paddington siamo riusciti a trovare questa pizzeria e scelta non fu migliore, una pizza napoletana nel vero senso della parola, finalmente una pizza cotta nel forno a legna con il cornicione caratteristico. Buona veramente buona. Infatti lo chef è italiano.fatevi un giro non vi pentirete.anche la ragazza ai tavoli carina e gentile.

I had a pint and my girl had a cordino. We ordered two pizza super fast to the table. And the tiramasu only dissapointment the coffee machine was broken she replied it would be fix soon other then that it was nice experience that’s the four star rating sorry guys

Great pizza. Everyone was satisfied. Mine, the San Mattia, was reach of different flavours, but it did not feel too heavy. We did not have to wait too much and the pizza arrived hot, like it should!

Was visiting from the US and was looking for a good Italian pizza place so decided to try this place out. Had the calzone and it was delicious and my girlfriend had the Santa Caterina which she loved. The garlic olive oil was great to add to the crust of the pizza and calzone. Highly recommend trying the restaurant out!

Simply spectacular, the quality of the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ pizzas and the handmade dough made in a wood oven. After a few days eating English food, yes beans, yes pudding of I don't know what or yes fish and potatoes; children's menu gastronomy on the other hand; but that is for a long and calm debate. Calm down if you are in favor of the gastronomy here, bah, if you think it's okay fight with fists or machetes. Well, don't keep me busy, I'm going off topic, I'm almost in tears after finally trying 10/10 food, long live the Mediterranean!

American trying authentic Italian pizza for the first time, it was so good! I never understood why Italians never considered dominos a true pizza until I had this! Waitress was lovely, and the food was delicious. I’ll be coming here again! Delizioso!

Very good quality pizzas and not too expensive! The dough is very nice, soft, fluffy. Loved the tomato sauce on it. Had Sant’ Anna and San Rocco. Personal favourite was Sant’Anna with the ham. As a starter, the bread with olio was amazing! High quality oil and good amount of it too. But be aware,you might be quite full afterwards, if you’re 3 people or more you’ll be fine.

Pizza was perfect! Very very tasty. Atmosphere relaxing, service fast.

My favourite pizzeria in London

We have been a few times with colleagues in Santa Maria pizzeria. The pizza has always been fantastic, well baked, tasty and with high quality ingredients. Despite the place being busy, we were served fast and efficiently. Reasonable prices for central London. Bonus point - knives that can actually cut the pizza (it happens often getting butter knives for pizza and struggle- not at this place!). Highly recommend!

Came here at 9pm on a Thursday night only to be told that we couldn't be seated because they were closing. There were plenty of free tables. After reminding them of their stated closing time of 10pm the maitre d told us they could offer us takeaway. Only after I said that we would be quick were we offered a table. The pizza here is consistently good, but what's with the hostile, and lazy reception? Do you not want customers? I've never had to haggle my way into a restaurant like that an hour before its supposed closing time.

Their service came with a smile and the food came quickly. While the buffalo cheese bruschetta was excellent, we were surprised to find the pizza lukewarm (the cheese had lost its gooeiness), given the nice pizza oven in the back. Ambiance was nice.

This former 5-star venue has fallen in the ranks of best pizzeria in town. We've been loyal clients for 3+ years but the restaurant was recently sold and the pizzas disappoint. Have been three times since the sale and on every occasion pizzas lack cheese, sauce or both. Other toppings are scattered with restraint. The once bountiful San Filipo is a shadow of its past glory with a tight-fisted smattering of vegetables hanging tight to the filaments cheese covering the dough. REPLY: that's strange because when I was there last I asked and the new wait staff and they informed me that the restaurant was under new management.

Amazing experience. The service was fast, effective and heartwarming! The blonde waitress (Elynn) was exceptionally kind – truly outstanding both professionally and personally. I had bruschetta and tiramisu and it was amazing. Shout out to their cocktails! The French waiter was very dedicated to making sure everyone was having a good time.

Quaint and cosy serving delicious pizzas .. the best part is they take good care to customize your pizza. I ordered the margarita with truffle oil and garlic . I didn't miss the cheese and it was soulful

I share my disastrous experience in this establishment. We went to this pizzeria for our son's birthday after reading the reviews. I won't judge the quality of their cuisine because we didn't eat anything but only the welcome and care of customers, just disastrous. We introduced ourselves and asked if it was possible to eat for 2 adults and 1 child of 6 years old. I would like to point out that it was 6:30 p.m. We were then told that we only had 40 minutes to eat and that we would have to leave quickly to make room for the other customers to “rush”. Surprised by this request and wanting to please our son for his birthday (the waiter knew it, I had told him), we then said yes without flinching and began to sit at a table. We understood that the presence of the little one's stroller was a little painful for them... We didn't even have time to sit down at the table when a man came from the kitchen to chat with the person who seated us. I would like to point out that the man at reception spoke French. Following their discussion, the gentleman came back to see us to tell us that we only had 30 minutes left to eat. We then said that 30 minutes was still a bit short and that we should rather refuse customers rather than rush and despise them. Faced with the waiter's sarcastic attitude, we decided to leave. Wide mocking smiles were given to us and we were told word for word “I’m still nice to you, I shouldn’t even have accepted you”. We are French and we clearly felt that we were not welcome. This attitude clearly reflects the state of mind of the English who are welcoming and kind. In short, if you are parents and French, avoid this establishment. I'm not used to giving reviews on Google but I was really disappointed with their attitude and especially in front of a 6 year old child who was basically happy to celebrate his birthday in a pizzeria in London.

We were ignored after we finished our dinner. We wanted dessert but no one came to ask us. Please be attentive to your guests! All the workers huddled around the kitchen with no one checking on us. And when we asked to take the service charge off, we weren't even asked what had gone wrong. Awful service.

The mushroom feels like canned mushroom and the ingredients don’t taste fresh. The meat balls are overcooked. But the bread dough is fair.

A great pizzaria off the beaten track means it's quieter even on a Saturday evening. The service is good...and prices decent, and food is respectable. The food selection is somewhat limited...as there are no pasta dishes. They don't serve tea either. When we went it was rather warm inside...which was nice to start with but became too much by the end of the meal. Other than this I would recommend this place. If you don't want to fight the crowds and the noise...this place definitely passes muster.

Grandes y sabrosos ingredientes, pero la base de pizza estaba tal vez ligeramente mal cocinado, lo que afectó a la experiencia general. Restaurante con unas pocas mesas solamente, sin decoración particular, pero un servicio rápido y eficaz. Los precios son más bajos que las pizzerías promedio en Londres, lo que es una ventaja. Varias opciones veganas disponibles. Idea original para llamar a cada pizza con el nombre de un santo italiano. Aparte de pizza, entrantes y postres también están disponibles, pero la selección es pobre. Definitivamente no es la mejor pizzería de Londres, pero vale la pena probar si te gusta la pizza napolitana.

Good pizzas, fairly quick service, pleasant servers. However, they do not specify in advance that they do not accept cash payments. Too bad for foreign tourists. It is advisable to reserve or wait until the evening because the restaurant is small and a little noisy too.

Second time dining at this restaurant. The quality of the ingredients is definitely great. However, both times the pizza tasted of burned food, despite not being burned. This is likely to be due to the quality of the wood being used or the oven not being properly cleaned.

Was given a recommendation to try this place. Quite the walk. Quite place, had a rucolla salad along with a calezone. Noticed that many places are going cashless, when was time to pay was advised they dont take cash, but eventually they made an exception for me as was traveling. The fresh mozzarella with ricotta cheese tastes just yum

Surprisingly good Napoletana pizza 🍕 This pizzeria doesn’t seem to be overly crowded (or maybe I got lucky) and it’s a humble shop serving extraordinary pizza. The dough is nice and soft with good flavor. It didn’t have much of a crisp but it’s still very nice. The ingredients seem authentic. It’s a nice pizzeria if you want amazing pizza and don’t want to be overrun with crowds. They do take reservations as well.

Only had the pizza and calzone. Obviously not cheap (it's Fitzrovia) but they're great Neapolitan pizzas.

It used to be one of our Neapolitan pizza places but unfortunately the quality has worsened a lot recently. Pizza dough was a bit and my Margherita was extremely dry (there was barely any tomato sauce). I wonder if the place is still owned by people who know what traditional Neapolitan Pizza should taste like.

Llegué al restaurante sin reserva y tuve que esperar media hora para una mesa, por lo que fue a tomar una copa a la vuelta de la esquina. Vino como se solicitó y nuestra mesa estaba lista y nuestra orden de bebidas fue tomada rápidamente. Pedimos unas aceitunas mixtas como aperitivo y estaban preciosas. Pedimos dos pizzas de Santa Caterina que venían con un montón de cobertura de chile fresco y una pizza de Santa Carmela. La pizza sabía muy fresca, ya que la salsa to Matt estaba hecha de tomate fresco en lugar de una salsa de cobertura de tomate fabricada. También pedimos una botella de Sauvignon Blanc que era un vino muy agradable y crujiente. Dos terminamos tuvimos Tiramisu que mi esposa nunca ha tomado ya que no le gusta el café en los desiertos, pero lo disfrutó mucho ya que el café no era demasiado potente. El servicio era excelente y la única desventaja era que había una gran mesa de gente muy ruidosa que en un pequeño restaurante con muy poco mobiliario suave para absorber los ruidos era un poco molesto. Sin embargo, no se puede culpar al restaurante de la clientela.

I visited for lunch. Since it was a little late, there weren't many other customers. The dough is crispy, but the ears are chewy and delicious. Standard price for pizza. The volume is quite large so I'm satisfied. I will visit again.

One of the best pizza doughs I ever had in London. Also the ingredients were really good . The variety of the pizzas are not the common ones, so it was fun to experiment with new flavours. The staff were very kind and professional.

Such a lovely early evening supper with my wife and youngest daughter. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The host who seated us and took our order named Daniella has fantastic energy! Vittorio was so attentive. At one point I asked if my 17 month wanted another straw and she nodded. He had already gone before I asked! He was so accommodating. The best thing was that they were happy and smiley and being in this industry you know that this makes any dining experience the best!

A small but cozy place, the waiters are charming and very attentive and the pizza makers can be seen making the pizza. We ordered a bread with oil, the bread is delicious but the oil was spectacular, the mixture of the olive oil with the balsamic vinegar weekend is perfect. For the main course I ordered a burrata pizza and another with ham, mushrooms and cheese. Both are very good but the burrata one stands out. A place we will return to when we are in London.

Extremly rude staff all I wanted was a pizza and saw this place was meant to be the best but clearly not. Customer service was poor, staff member hung up the first phone call I thought it was cut off and then the second time I called she told me this ain’t a Nando’s after being insulted I took my self for a McDonald’s to cheer me up
