Excellent when we are in London we always come to eat here at least once

The pizzas were great and the service was very friendly. There are vegan options available. The restaurant had a good atmosphere too.

Really good pizza. As good as I’ve eaten in Naples. Reasonable prices and good service. What’s not to like. The tiramisu was great too.

Easily the best pizza in the area—and I say that as someone with Italian friends and high standards. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and comes out fast. Dimitri was a phenomenal waiter—super friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. I’ve eaten out a lot, and the customer service here is top-tier without being over the top. Highly recommend!

Santa Maria never disappoints. One of my favorite spots in Fitzrovia. The pizza is incredible - perfectly chewy crust, super fresh toppings, and so much flavor. The staff are always warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to.

I’ve been to Santa Maria around 10 times and have always been very happy with the food quality. However, they seem to have changed the meatball supplier they use and the quality has drastically decreased. They’ve gone from something I always ordered to something I will now be giving a miss. Pizza still very good.

I ordered a gluten-free pizza to go today. When I opened the pizza box at home, all the toppings were squashed together in one corner. Despite the fact that I always kept it straight. So I went back to the restaurant and brought the pizza back. But instead of making me a new pizza, as they had promised, they simply spread the toppings back on the now cold and wobbly pizza and put some olive oil and basil on it - as if I wouldn't notice. I've never experienced anything so brazen! Never again!

La pizza è buonissima ricorda molto quella di sorbillo a Napoli...e il plauso va a Emanuele, il pizzaiolo napoletano DOC!! ma anche sul resto non possiamo affatto lamentarci i ragazzi al servizio gentilissimi sempre sorridenti.... insomma consigliatissimo per gli amanti la pizza vera!

Estaba deseando ir a la mejor pizzería de Londres! Estaba muy decepcionado. El vino blanco estaba caliente, tenía que pedir hielo y un refrigerador de vino. La pizza estaba empapada. Sin aderezo en la ensalada, tuve que pedir aceite. ¡Entonces para colmo la camarera golpeó la copa de vino y se me pasó por encima del pantalón!

Good place to enjoy a proper Neapolitan Pizza. (Review left more than a year ago). Edit : After years of enjoying this place, I came in recently and what a disappointment, must have changed management, dough was poor and heavy, overall not a true Neapolitan pizza anymore, just a touristic pizza you should avoid if you want to enjoy the true Neapolitan one. Less important but also to consider, used to hear classic Neapolitan tracks such as Pino Daniele, now you hear Latino songs. There are better places in London to enjoy a true Neapolitan pizza. Last but not least, unfriendly staff.

Great spot for a casual dinner. It’s in the shortlist for top pizza spots in London and for good reason - proper Neapolitan style 🍕 the margarita delivers for the purists, as did the spicy meaty pizza. Top drawer and very reasonably priced (especially for Aperols!)

Recientemente visité la sucursal de Kew Gardens y aunque la comida era muy agradable el servicio no lo era. Se sentía como si estuvieran tratando de sacarnos lo más rápido posible. Después de que nos trajeron nuestra comida no vinieron a ver cómo estaba. Pedimos un poco más de agua, pero tuvimos que levantarnos y pedir a alguien que lo trajera como el camarero había olvidado y ningún personal miraría en nuestra dirección. También comenzaron a quitarnos los platos cuando uno de nosotros no había terminado de comer y cuando lo mencionamos continuaron. Sin embargo, no hay quejas sobre la comida era encantador y dos miembros del personal nos dieron una despedida amistosa.

We found ourselves almost by chance, but as soon as we entered we felt at home, neo-melodic music, and really nice staff. YARA welcomed us, truly up to the task, and advised us on what to order. Dopo aver girovagato per Paddington siamo riusciti a trovare questa pizzeria e scelta non fu migliore, una pizza napoletana nel vero senso della parola, finalmente una pizza cotta nel forno a legna con il cornicione caratteristico. Buona veramente buona. Infatti lo chef è italiano.fatevi un giro non vi pentirete.anche la ragazza ai tavoli carina e gentile.

I had a pint and my girl had a cordino. We ordered two pizza super fast to the table. And the tiramasu only dissapointment the coffee machine was broken she replied it would be fix soon other then that it was nice experience that’s the four star rating sorry guys

Great pizza. Everyone was satisfied. Mine, the San Mattia, was reach of different flavours, but it did not feel too heavy. We did not have to wait too much and the pizza arrived hot, like it should!

Was visiting from the US and was looking for a good Italian pizza place so decided to try this place out. Had the calzone and it was delicious and my girlfriend had the Santa Caterina which she loved. The garlic olive oil was great to add to the crust of the pizza and calzone. Highly recommend trying the restaurant out!

Simply spectacular, the quality of the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ pizzas and the handmade dough made in a wood oven. After a few days eating English food, yes beans, yes pudding of I don't know what or yes fish and potatoes; children's menu gastronomy on the other hand; but that is for a long and calm debate. Calm down if you are in favor of the gastronomy here, bah, if you think it's okay fight with fists or machetes. Well, don't keep me busy, I'm going off topic, I'm almost in tears after finally trying 10/10 food, long live the Mediterranean!

American trying authentic Italian pizza for the first time, it was so good! I never understood why Italians never considered dominos a true pizza until I had this! Waitress was lovely, and the food was delicious. I’ll be coming here again! Delizioso!

Very good quality pizzas and not too expensive! The dough is very nice, soft, fluffy. Loved the tomato sauce on it. Had Sant’ Anna and San Rocco. Personal favourite was Sant’Anna with the ham. As a starter, the bread with olio was amazing! High quality oil and good amount of it too. But be aware,you might be quite full afterwards, if you’re 3 people or more you’ll be fine.

My favourite pizzeria in London

We have been a few times with colleagues in Santa Maria pizzeria. The pizza has always been fantastic, well baked, tasty and with high quality ingredients. Despite the place being busy, we were served fast and efficiently. Reasonable prices for central London. Bonus point - knives that can actually cut the pizza (it happens often getting butter knives for pizza and struggle- not at this place!). Highly recommend!

Came here at 9pm on a Thursday night only to be told that we couldn't be seated because they were closing. There were plenty of free tables. After reminding them of their stated closing time of 10pm the maitre d told us they could offer us takeaway. Only after I said that we would be quick were we offered a table. The pizza here is consistently good, but what's with the hostile, and lazy reception? Do you not want customers? I've never had to haggle my way into a restaurant like that an hour before its supposed closing time.

Their service came with a smile and the food came quickly. While the buffalo cheese bruschetta was excellent, we were surprised to find the pizza lukewarm (the cheese had lost its gooeiness), given the nice pizza oven in the back. Ambiance was nice.

This former 5-star venue has fallen in the ranks of best pizzeria in town. We've been loyal clients for 3+ years but the restaurant was recently sold and the pizzas disappoint. Have been three times since the sale and on every occasion pizzas lack cheese, sauce or both. Other toppings are scattered with restraint. The once bountiful San Filipo is a shadow of its past glory with a tight-fisted smattering of vegetables hanging tight to the filaments cheese covering the dough. REPLY: that's strange because when I was there last I asked and the new wait staff and they informed me that the restaurant was under new management.

Amazing experience. The service was fast, effective and heartwarming! The blonde waitress (Elynn) was exceptionally kind – truly outstanding both professionally and personally. I had bruschetta and tiramisu and it was amazing. Shout out to their cocktails! The French waiter was very dedicated to making sure everyone was having a good time.

Good little pizzeria and pizza was good.

I share my disastrous experience in this establishment. We went to this pizzeria for our son's birthday after reading the reviews. I won't judge the quality of their cuisine because we didn't eat anything but only the welcome and care of customers, just disastrous. We introduced ourselves and asked if it was possible to eat for 2 adults and 1 child of 6 years old. I would like to point out that it was 6:30 p.m. We were then told that we only had 40 minutes to eat and that we would have to leave quickly to make room for the other customers to “rush”. Surprised by this request and wanting to please our son for his birthday (the waiter knew it, I had told him), we then said yes without flinching and began to sit at a table. We understood that the presence of the little one's stroller was a little painful for them... We didn't even have time to sit down at the table when a man came from the kitchen to chat with the person who seated us. I would like to point out that the man at reception spoke French. Following their discussion, the gentleman came back to see us to tell us that we only had 30 minutes left to eat. We then said that 30 minutes was still a bit short and that we should rather refuse customers rather than rush and despise them. Faced with the waiter's sarcastic attitude, we decided to leave. Wide mocking smiles were given to us and we were told word for word “I’m still nice to you, I shouldn’t even have accepted you”. We are French and we clearly felt that we were not welcome. This attitude clearly reflects the state of mind of the English who are welcoming and kind. In short, if you are parents and French, avoid this establishment. I'm not used to giving reviews on Google but I was really disappointed with their attitude and especially in front of a 6 year old child who was basically happy to celebrate his birthday in a pizzeria in London.

Quaint and cosy serving delicious pizzas .. the best part is they take good care to customize your pizza. I ordered the margarita with truffle oil and garlic . I didn't miss the cheese and it was soulful

We were ignored after we finished our dinner. We wanted dessert but no one came to ask us. Please be attentive to your guests! All the workers huddled around the kitchen with no one checking on us. And when we asked to take the service charge off, we weren't even asked what had gone wrong. Awful service.

The mushroom feels like canned mushroom and the ingredients don’t taste fresh. The meat balls are overcooked. But the bread dough is fair.

A great pizzaria off the beaten track means it's quieter even on a Saturday evening. The service is good...and prices decent, and food is respectable. The food selection is somewhat limited...as there are no pasta dishes. They don't serve tea either. When we went it was rather warm inside...which was nice to start with but became too much by the end of the meal. Other than this I would recommend this place. If you don't want to fight the crowds and the noise...this place definitely passes muster.
