Our Waiter Ali was friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal and would come again!

Good food but the service left something to be desired, we didn't ask for the bill and the guy brought it, it would have been easier to ask to leave...

Friendly sincere waitress and quality Italian food. All four of us were impressed with our dining experience.

Ordered chicken in breadcrumb that was Overcooked and dry so left on plate. Pointed out to staff when they finally came to table after a prompt and to be fair they did offer an alternative choice.

Nice place, very bright. We ordered brischetta and arancini as starters and drank a lot of beer. It was hard to explain at first that Brazilians don't like to put 600ml in a glass, they understand that it's individual. Tasty food. Since it's in pounds, when you "convert" it gets heavy.

Wonderful place to eat dinner! Delicious garlic bread and pasta crisps! The pasta was delicious. Highly recommend the casareccia pasta with the pork and meatballs. The sauce was just the perfect amount of heat.

Early dinner slot so food was quick and hot. Staff were excellent with our toddler too!

Ola was a most attentive host, for my evening meal. Calzone was so tasty, crisp but not hard pizza, tiramisu as expected from this restaurant. Tasty meal. £27.50 for 3 courses was excellent value.

We came here on a Sunday evening around 7.30pm. It was quite empty inside but has a lot of seating. The food was tasty and served quite quickly. It took a while for us to be noticed, seated, and for our order to be taken. It did feel a bit like staff were avoiding us but then again it might be because it was a Sunday evening. Staff were friendly enough. Convenient place to come and eat with decent pricing, especially because with a blue light card there was a 20% discount.

I believe I had one of the best staff servers I have ever had at a ZIZZI. OLA was amazing. Instantly attentive, answering my questions about entrees. Her stops at the table to check on me were perfectly timed. I also noticed she was kind, positive and very friendly with all the other quests there.. As a solo diner I felt no discomfort eating alone which is why I usually do carry out. Well OLA might have made me rethink that choice. She is great. Thank-you and share this with her so she knows we notice.

Beautiful food (carefully cattering for allergies, which we really appreciate), with delicious vegetarian and vegan options (that fudge cake is something to write home about, i tell ya). Service was brilliant, attention to detail with a smile. Kids welcome and well cared for :)

Very AVG and on the pricey side

Very good food, excellent service and attention. The place was very comfortable, as a Mexican tourist, I jokingly asked for something spicy and they brought it to me; an oil with chili that I liked. 100% recommended.

Excellent customer service from Ola and Amy! Ola greeted us with the warmest and most welcoming of smiles and, having requested a quiet area, went out of her way to ensure this was met and that we were happy with our table. Nothing was too much trouble including her accomodating my request for Chicken Milanese to be served with spaghetti pomodora rather than vegetables. A lovely evening made all the better by delicious food and first class service.

We ended up here by accident actually but very happy we did! First of all, the waiting staff here are so genuinely friendly and helpful, and just kind! They went over and beyond. Restaurant itself also is lovely, and the menu is full of great options. We got a sharing board and would 10/10 recommend!

Hands down to the best pizza i have had in edinburgh.

We ordered at 8pm and recieved our order at 9:30pm, lets not forget the fact we asked them how much more do we have to wait for our food and they told us 10min only for them to take almost 30min.I ordered a pizza, it was so thin and burned it shattered when i tried to cut it. I asked for prosciutto as an extra topping and respect for the cook who had the courage to add 2 mini pieces of it, the tomatoes on the pizza also had an unpleasent taste. I will upload a photo of my friend’s food who also had a dissapointing experience.

Great food but didn't like how the server asked if we wanted to leave a tip as we were paying else it would be 5 stars. Restaurant was very cold too.

Outstanding service and dining. Visited with my Granddaughter and the staff were so nice with her. “That’s the best pizza ever” was her comment. Sea bass was amazing as was my Wife’s pasta, would thoroughly recommend to anyone. We will definitely be back soon!

Ordered the pizza at 19:40, order kept being pushed back so after about an hour called the restaurant to try and figure out what was going on and they told me the pizza had been sat ready for collection got the past hour twenty minutes, eventually got it cold just after 21:30

Very nice spot to have Italian food! We stopped here for lunch as a friend group. Pizza was delicious, bruscetta and garlic bread was wonderful, and fudge cake completed the experience. Ola was very helpful and kind, guided us with the ingredients and everything! I will recommend this place to everyone

Sweet service and delicious food

Excellent food and service. One of the best risottos I've had, very creamy and grilled salmon was perfectly juicy; and sweetness of lemonade was balanced with soureness. Will definitely come back when i visit the city next time!

Food arrived on time but was just warm, not hot.

The food is good, but the prices are absurd for the little food you are served. I paid almost £20 for a pasta plate and left the place as hungry as when I entered. This is the type of Italian restaurant where you would never see any Italians eating in. The drinks are extremely overpriced too.

Ola was absolutely lovely and a ray of sunshine. In a very busy restaurant she made us feel like we had her full attention, and she was always kind and attentive and just generally lovely. I hope she’ll be there next time too 😊 and the food was amazing!

Food was great as it always is in Zizzi. The service was outstanding, we arrived 20 minutes early and managed to get seated straight away (given it wasn't too busy), the hosts were extremely attentive, very polite and ensured that food and drink was delivered quickly. Huge props to the whole team

We booked a table but arrived early and we're seated without problem. We rarely go out for dinner with our 7 and 3yr old but we were holidaying in Edinburgh and saw the 'kids ear free' half term offer. The service we received was amazing. A lovely gent served us and our 3yr old was bewitched with her new friend! Nothing was too much trouble. All our food came to us timely. We didn't feel rushed. Items were hot and everything was correct with our food. The kids got colour in menus with puzzles and Crayola twistables to keep them entertained. We were seated by a window so the children could also see the buses go by. We were very impressed with our service. We sadly didn't get the kids eat free deal. Not sure why. I redeemed a blue light discount so maybe they can't be used in conjunction. That was the only thing, everything else was flawless. Thank you for a pleasant meal.

Was busy but still got amazing service. Poppy was lovely and very chatty and kind and helped with everything. The food was delicious, pizzas were massive and all priced well. I also got calamari as a starter and it was cooked to perfection, kudos to the kitchen for that. Mains came out very fast after starters and you could tell the communication between FOH and kitchen was smooth! Very well-run restaurant!

Great visit. Excellent service, apart from we ordered the Brownie Sundae and were not told they had no caramel sauce until this was served. This is why I ordered the Sundae, as not a fan of chocolate sauce. I would have switched my order immediately, but did not want to be the guy to send back something not as advertised. However, the waiter was very pleasant and accommodating, but did blame the kitchen for this.

Food was ok! For a chain restaurant at busy Christmas time, they did a good deal for £30 for 3 courses. But what made our evening was the most fantastic waiter, Poppy. She made sure our big group were fed, watered and happy! The nicest most kind waiter I have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble. We even left a Christmas card behind by accident and the lovely Poppy came running out after us. She made our Christmas! It’s staff like this that keep these places going, we will be back. Thank you Poppy!!

Great meal with family prior to going to Murrayfield to watch Edinburgh Rugby. As always we were made to feel very welcome and valued customers. We were served by Marianna who did an excellent job. Main meal, desert and drinks were all delicious and great value. A visit to Zizzi is now a must when we visit Edinburgh and we have booked again for November.

Nous avons été dans ce restaurant lors de notre séjour à Édimbourg, nous avons choisit un menu spécial noël, malheureusement plusieurs choix à la carte n’était pas disponible et nous avons dû changer notre choix à deux reprise. Cependant les plats étaient plutôt bon et servi rapidement. Un rapport qualité prix qui est légèrement au dessus de ce qu’il pourrait se faire je pense. Si nous pouvions mettre 3,5 étoile je l’aurais mit car cela a été tout de même une bonne expérience.

Dirty restaurant with food on the floor and disgusting toilets. Way over priced food, microwave pasta that was not cooked evenly and avarage pizza. Skip this one!

Our starters (crab balls) were still frozen when served. Worrying that this could be sent out and makes you question the quality control of the other ingredients. This meant one of us had to eat our starters alone. Waiter was very young and lacked any sort of interaction. Annoyingly our vouchers were not valid as this time of year. Appreciate that this is stated on the website but we got our vouchers some time ago so a simple sign when walking in reminding us of this would have been very helpful.

Este restaurante era el lugar favorito de mis amigos y familiares, después de algunas malas experiencias durante algunos eventos organizados aquí mi novia pensión no hemos vuelto desde 2021. Mamma Roma se ha convertido en nuestro restaurante para todas las reuniones, después de decir esto. El lunes 16 de diciembre un amigo y yo reservamos el almuerzo y fue una gran decepción. No había nadie en la puerta, el gerente estaba sentado en una mesa y parecía molesto por ser interrumpido en la bienvenida. Nos sentó en una mesa. Después de sentarnos traté de tirar de la mesa hacia mí y la mesa estaba sucia por debajo, me salió grasa en la mano de una mesa sucia. Inmediatamente pedí cambiar de mesa pero vino un camarero y limpió la mesa. Asqueroso. Pedí una pasta casera con albóndigas de cerdo. Estaba lleno de especias y las albóndigas estaban frías por dentro incluso para la lasaña de mi invitado. Definitivamente comida congelada. Esperamos 20 minutos después de terminar con los platos vacíos en la mesa antes de que limpiaran nuestra mesa y nos preguntaron si queríamos postre. El restaurante estaba vacío, solo había otra mesa ocupada. Justo después del helado fui a vomitar. La pasta llena de especias fue vomitada por todas partes. Este era uno de nuestros restaurantes favoritos, pero no lo recomendaría a nadie!
