Janos was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food was amazing too. Very tasty cherry cocktail.

Food was great as it always is in Zizzi. The service was outstanding, we arrived 20 minutes early and managed to get seated straight away (given it wasn't too busy), the hosts were extremely attentive, very polite and ensured that food and drink was delivered quickly. Huge props to the whole team

We booked a table but arrived early and we're seated without problem. We rarely go out for dinner with our 7 and 3yr old but we were holidaying in Edinburgh and saw the 'kids ear free' half term offer. The service we received was amazing. A lovely gent served us and our 3yr old was bewitched with her new friend! Nothing was too much trouble. All our food came to us timely. We didn't feel rushed. Items were hot and everything was correct with our food. The kids got colour in menus with puzzles and Crayola twistables to keep them entertained. We were seated by a window so the children could also see the buses go by. We were very impressed with our service. We sadly didn't get the kids eat free deal. Not sure why. I redeemed a blue light discount so maybe they can't be used in conjunction. That was the only thing, everything else was flawless. Thank you for a pleasant meal.

Was busy but still got amazing service. Poppy was lovely and very chatty and kind and helped with everything. The food was delicious, pizzas were massive and all priced well. I also got calamari as a starter and it was cooked to perfection, kudos to the kitchen for that. Mains came out very fast after starters and you could tell the communication between FOH and kitchen was smooth! Very well-run restaurant!

Came in for our Valentines meal and it was incredible as always. Food was great, and Ola provided super friendly service.

Great visit. Excellent service, apart from we ordered the Brownie Sundae and were not told they had no caramel sauce until this was served. This is why I ordered the Sundae, as not a fan of chocolate sauce. I would have switched my order immediately, but did not want to be the guy to send back something not as advertised. However, the waiter was very pleasant and accommodating, but did blame the kitchen for this.

Food was ok! For a chain restaurant at busy Christmas time, they did a good deal for £30 for 3 courses. But what made our evening was the most fantastic waiter, Poppy. She made sure our big group were fed, watered and happy! The nicest most kind waiter I have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble. We even left a Christmas card behind by accident and the lovely Poppy came running out after us. She made our Christmas! It’s staff like this that keep these places going, we will be back. Thank you Poppy!!

Great meal with family prior to going to Murrayfield to watch Edinburgh Rugby. As always we were made to feel very welcome and valued customers. We were served by Marianna who did an excellent job. Main meal, desert and drinks were all delicious and great value. A visit to Zizzi is now a must when we visit Edinburgh and we have booked again for November.

Nous avons été dans ce restaurant lors de notre séjour à Édimbourg, nous avons choisit un menu spécial noël, malheureusement plusieurs choix à la carte n’était pas disponible et nous avons dû changer notre choix à deux reprise. Cependant les plats étaient plutôt bon et servi rapidement. Un rapport qualité prix qui est légèrement au dessus de ce qu’il pourrait se faire je pense. Si nous pouvions mettre 3,5 étoile je l’aurais mit car cela a été tout de même une bonne expérience.

Our starters (crab balls) were still frozen when served. Worrying that this could be sent out and makes you question the quality control of the other ingredients. This meant one of us had to eat our starters alone. Waiter was very young and lacked any sort of interaction. Annoyingly our vouchers were not valid as this time of year. Appreciate that this is stated on the website but we got our vouchers some time ago so a simple sign when walking in reminding us of this would have been very helpful.

Este restaurante era el lugar favorito de mis amigos y familiares, después de algunas malas experiencias durante algunos eventos organizados aquí mi novia pensión no hemos vuelto desde 2021. Mamma Roma se ha convertido en nuestro restaurante para todas las reuniones, después de decir esto. El lunes 16 de diciembre un amigo y yo reservamos el almuerzo y fue una gran decepción. No había nadie en la puerta, el gerente estaba sentado en una mesa y parecía molesto por ser interrumpido en la bienvenida. Nos sentó en una mesa. Después de sentarnos traté de tirar de la mesa hacia mí y la mesa estaba sucia por debajo, me salió grasa en la mano de una mesa sucia. Inmediatamente pedí cambiar de mesa pero vino un camarero y limpió la mesa. Asqueroso. Pedí una pasta casera con albóndigas de cerdo. Estaba lleno de especias y las albóndigas estaban frías por dentro incluso para la lasaña de mi invitado. Definitivamente comida congelada. Esperamos 20 minutos después de terminar con los platos vacíos en la mesa antes de que limpiaran nuestra mesa y nos preguntaron si queríamos postre. El restaurante estaba vacío, solo había otra mesa ocupada. Justo después del helado fui a vomitar. La pasta llena de especias fue vomitada por todas partes. Este era uno de nuestros restaurantes favoritos, pero no lo recomendaría a nadie!

Over from Ireland and just staying across the road so we said we would try it. The food and drinks were top class. Service was very good no delays. I had a cocktail which was fab. Our server (Ali) was so nice and friendly which made our experience very enjoyable.

We had a fantastic experience at Zizzi during today’s vegan meet-up! Our group gathered for a lovely evening of delicious Italian food, and Zizzi didn’t disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed the garlic bread, Pasta Pomodoro, and the exciting new addition to the vegan menu — aubergine meatball pizza — all of which were absolutely delightful and unanimously approved by our group. The true highlight of the evening, however, was the outstanding service from our server, Janos. He was warm, professional, and incredibly funny, making us feel truly welcome. His lovely manner made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Zizzi and Janos, for a wonderful evening — we’ll definitely be back!

Had a lovely meal here, we both ate from the set menu as we both liked the look of the dishes on offer. All of the food arrived promptly and was really tasty - service was amazing. All in all a lovely evening 🙂

The staff were welcoming and friendly. since the kitchen was closing soon, we ordered take out. The pizza was very disappointing especially the margarita. There was no cheese, only dough and red sauce. We also had the lasagna and ravioli, both had some hard pieces, like it was not cooked. I don’t think i will come again.

Nos atendió Nicole que nos cuidó muy bien. Ella fue rápido para llevar nuestra comida y bebidas y regularmente nos preguntó si necesitábamos algo más. Zizzi es un lugar regular para nosotros, ya que siempre esperamos con interés nuestras comidas y se nos hace sentir como clientes valiosos. Gracias a Emma, así como ella ordenó mi consulta con respecto a mi reserva.

Food was excellent, wonderful staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

It was very complicated to order. Tables could be ordered directly from the service staff, others could not. The app only works half way. It took longer to order than we then had to wait for the food. And it was very cold in the restaurant.

The fried pasta , soul bites appetizers were delicious! The entrees were original and excellent.

I recently visited this restaurant and was initially impressed by the attentive front-of-house staff, who were more than happy to let us sit wherever we requested. We arrived right when the restaurant opened, and it was already spotless and tidy, which made for a welcoming first impression. The music was at a comfortable volume, adding to a pleasant atmosphere, and I appreciated that the tables weren’t cramped together, giving the space a roomy feel. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the service or the environment. We had a couple of mains— Vegan Margherita Rustic Pizza and Lentil Linguine—as well as Raspberry Cheesecake, Sweet Potato Fries, and a Raspberry Mint Cooler drink. The vegan options were particularly disappointing, with little flavor. If it weren't for the voucher I had, I definitely wouldn't have chosen to dine here. At nearly £50 for the meal, I felt it was overpriced for the quality of the food. That said, our server Ola, who handled the bill at the end, was friendly. But overall, I can’t recommend this place based on the food quality. There are better options out there unless you have a discount or voucher. I also witnessed an unfortunate situation during my visit where the front-of-house staff denied a regular man, who seemed to be a desperate tourist, the use of the restroom. While I understand that there are policies in place, it was a tough moment to witness. A simple act of kindness in such circumstances could have made a big difference. It’s little gestures like that which can really enhance the customer experience, and sadly, this one felt a bit cold. It's always important to remember that empathy goes a long way.

Service good, prices have certainly gone up,just less than 20 GBP for a pizza. Could not use incentive vouchers from bank as little known policy restriction meant they could not be forfeited. Disappointed. This will influence our restaurant choice in the city next time.

Paramos y comimos en Zizzi’s en nuestro paseo de regreso a nuestro hotel desde la Royal Mile. Sentado inmediatamente, buen servicio, buena comida. Desafortunadamente estaban fuera de mi favorito, lasaña, y tampoco servimos pan con nuestra comida que la mayoría de los restaurantes italianos hacen - nos dijeron que no estaba disponible.

Disappointing set Apart from the garlic bread which was really tasty, the pizzas were quite tasteless. Long service although there were really not many of us in the room In this regard, the heating in the room is not sufficient, we were cold throughout the meal.

Muy decepcionado tomé a un amigo como amado el de Birstall Leeds y no tuve una buena experiencia. Algunos de los empleados no parecían molestos excepto la señora que era buena. El lugar era muy frío. Los aseos de señoras eran horribles no limpiaron ningún rollo de inodoro, ya que estaba todo en el suelo en todos los aseos y cuando les dije que sí dijeron que lo sentían, pero no lo suficientemente bueno. Espero que si vuelvo a Birstall Leeds que será tan bueno como siempre ha sido.

We went to an Italian place to have a quick dinner because we were late getting into the pubs. We ordered some ravioli and a chicken and spinach calzone. It was delicious but nothing more, nothing remarkable compared to other Italian restaurants. The beer seemed very expensive to me, even though it is 660ml it is still a bottled Peroni.

Lovely food, squeezed us in when very busy.... emma looked after us and was amazing throughout. Xxx
