The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

To be honest th8s Italian restaurant was average at best. There was very little atmosphereas it was a sprawling restaurant with few customers, the service was robotic and impersonal and the food was okay but nothing special . Not the best of experiences. Value wise paid what we might have expected

Sebastian was great and the food was lovely

Best pizzas around Surrey. The only place we eat at in Guildford that serves delicious Pizza. No.5 is amazing and the chef consistently knocks it out the park. I add the 3 chilli mix which is perfect

I recommend the spicy tagliatelle

Just moved local and came in for first time. Loved the lunch deal. Great space to be on a nice day. Simon was lovely and really made the experience great. Will definitely be back soon!

Tasty and cheap. You pay once, eat as much as you want. I also recommend tasty buffet dishes and milkshakes. The only thing you can complain about are the prices of drinks, but that's probably normal in this type of places

Very quiet on this occasion but the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Highly recommend Wildwood. The waitress Molly was absolutely fantastic.

Visited on Wednesday and ordered a full English breakfast. It was delicious and the staff are so friendly. Will definitely return.

Meant visiting the location 3 separate times ahead of the event Difficult to achieve prepayment of group order ahead of the event again took visits to reach that goal Couldn’t find any direct contact details from the website

We went to this restaurant Saturday 22nd March 2025. The restaurant was pleasing to the eye. It was very noisy. I had a lasagne thinking Anita.ian restaurant would get it right. Far from it. I couldn’t find any pasta sheets. It was mainly all a tomato sauce with cream. I couldn’t find any meat. Very poor indeed. My daughter had a pizza. Huge amounts of crust on the outsid, a waste & the bottom of the pizza was very thick. It was also too expensive. Not good. We shan’t be returning.

I went for a meal here and I am now 3 days in with a bout of terrible food poisoning since my visit. I had the pork ribs for starters and a lobster pasta dish for main. My friend ordered differently and hasn’t been affected. Overall the restaurant is lovely looking - we sat in the conservatory but it is very pretentious and we felt the waiters were overly attentive, several different waiters checking in with us too many times during the meal we could hardly start a conversation between us without being interrupted. Update: 17 days of illness and a course of antibiotics were needed. I have yet to get a response from the restaurant. I have filled in all the relevant info on the document they sent. Service isn’t acceptable. 31/10/24 as of today I have still had no response to my complaint of food poisoning. I have chased a response several times to keep being told the compliance manager will be in touch. It begs the question do they have a compliance manager! The aftercare has been shockingly bad with no comeback to my complaint. I was extremely ill after eating at this restaurant and had to take a considerable amount of time off work in which I’m self employed resulting in a huge financial loss. This has been relayed to the restaurant and there has been nothing but silence. 02/12 - still no response to my complaint. Service is terrible I ended up getting a response from San Carlo several months after my complaint - they said it was nothing to do with them - I didn’t expect anything else to be honest. Will never eat here again. The customer service has been just as bad a the food poisoning I had!

Have been here a couple of times now and the food is outstanding. So many choices. It’s hard to save room for dessert but again so many choices and the freshly made cakes are amazing. Fantastic staff. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Gorgeous food! Went on a Monday and was surprisingly busy! I requested a birthday surprise last minute and they happily obliged! Will defo be back!
