Carluccio's - Walton-On-Thames in Elmbridge

My chicken looked and tasted like it’s been around since yesterday dry like a Sahara desert . Staff are amazing . Gone downhill . Can’t come back after that .

The food was not very warm and the main dish not of the same standard had I been eating in. The bag the focaccia was in might have fared better had it been sealed.

Lovely beef ragu. Initial service fine but not very attentive. Had to ask for bill twice

Disgustingly bland food- had the ravioli in the butter sauce more like pasta water sauce, tasted of nothing and the bill was extortionate with a 12.5% tip for waiters that didn’t even ask how the food was- won’t be returning

Had dinner with my daughet and partner, i had one non alcoholic beer, my daugher had 2 x cocktails. The food was OK, nothing to scream about, aside from the £135 bill for 3 x people and the non optional 12.5% service charge of nearly £20. Meh......

Went for breakfast with the family and the service was fantastic as was the breakfast. Carluccio's has been around a long time albeit much smaller than they once were but still a good chain.

Nice restaurant in the heart of the town. We had Arancini as a starter and a pizza and beef ragu for our mains, All were very nice. Staff and service were good also,

Great place! Tasty italian food and desserts, open for breakfast too. The service is amazing and the espresso is the best in Walton.

Paid £17 for a chicken Milanese burger with only half of a very thin chicken breast in it. The breadcrumbs were thicker than the chicken. Appalling value for money. Used to be much better with generous portions. That will be the last time I eat there.

We were very happy with the service and staff, and were genuinely looking forward to visiting to celebrate my daughter's birthday as she had fond memories of visiting as a toddler. We experienced good quality food, good portion sizes and great service. I was surprised that the menu was quite short so the chain isn't over-stretching itself on ingredients and menu choices. But it hadn't really changed at all in the at-lest-5-years-or-more since we last visited. Good price, good food, but a bit underwhelming.

Great food and can't fault the place!

What was going to pop in and out but it was so nice that I stayed and ate breakfast and copious coffees ans fruit juices - ended up having a lovely 3 hours there with a friend.

Allergy sufferers BEWARE, they may ask you if you have an allergy but seemingly only pay lip service to this information!!!! I have a fish allergy - they were informed. My breakfast of poached egg & avocado smelt strongly of Salmon and tasted tainted - after 2 small bites took it back to the waiting staff and informed them. The Restaurant Manager's astonishingly slow and confrontational response was quite worrying. Never encountered quite such a lack of "customer service" - I could quite easily have required an ambulance - He was not to know that I can tolerate a small amount of contamination without a major anaphylactic response! I refused a replacement.

This is a very nice, airy, casual restaurant. We come here almost every week, and it's particularly good value with the 30% off mains offer. The food is reliably good and the service is very nice and friendly. We are happy with the addition of the pizza menu. Pizzas are not on par with the likes of Franco Manca or similar, but very good nonetheless. The coffee is excellent here, and the bread and butter pudding is highly recommended. Overall, highly recommended!

For a chain it’s quite good quality, the portions are sizeable and the price correct.

Have not been to this chain for some time. No question it is hopelessly overpriced considering what other restaurants offer. The menu is tight and tiny. But today it was easy to visit and was ok. Max the waiter was helpful and forgiving and the food ok. . We had s clean meal stop but paid an arm and a leg for it.

Waiter was pushy to serve us, clear and collect payment. We were one of three tables in the restaurant. The breakfasts were fine, my bacon was a tad burnt and the toast was cold.

Very overpriced food, not the best experience or vibe. Six pounds for two tiny scoops of ice cream. 😔

The staff are inexperienced and too young to understand common family needs. Kids meals should come first. Always. I have never dined anywhere in the world with my kids where this wasn’t the case. Yet even the chef prepared an adult starter before sending out the kids meals…. Cue crying and grumpy kids. The mushroom risottos were gloopy and bland too. And to be honest the kids menu is just adult food but in smaller portions. Should improve that and make sure the salt content is appropriate.

I went there on mothers day. All of the dishes were delicious and it was a good price for the amount of food we had. Thank you😀

The food here is delicious and the atmosphere is so chilled I am excited to return. This is my new spot. The service is great and I like the way you make payment for your meal using the code scanner on your table.

Average starters. Worst pasta ever. Carbonara consisted of congealed spaghetti with cold egg. Not enough salt. Poor service - wasn’t even asked if the meal was ok or why most of the dish had been left.

Came here as a party of 6 of all ages for a birthday celebration. The service was excellent, the menu had something for everyone, and everyone got their food promptly at the same time. Really nice. Came again before Christmas 2023. Excellent, kind service. We all had three different risottos this time. Nicely presented.

Chicken Milanese was terrible. Looked like it had been double cooked.

Highly recommend this Italian restaurant when in area. The Christmas set menu had so many options I actually struggled to pick. Great staff very attentive and very good value considering the quality of food and choices available.

Went for lunch with daughter. Service ok but food terrible- fish over cooked and Caesar salad mainly dressing . Portion size tiny and price way too high . Really sad experience as used to be good now will never go back. Left a tip not because of the meal but because daughter works in hospitality and I know staff are dependent on tips . Come on guys it really should be better than it is.

Firstly the service was friendly and decent. We have been coming here as a family for years - the food and portion sizes have been gradually dropping, but this evening was an all time low! My daughters kids lasagne was initially so small it would not feed a 2 year old - this was replaced by something slightly bigger, but still insufficient. I had the chicken and Parma ham dish, but struggled to eat it … the wine sauce was I can only describe - rancid - should have rejected it … maybe it was burnt. My wife had ravioli - ok, but once again very small portion. We also had garlic focaccia bread - unbelievably we left most of this - for £5:95 it wad Luke warm, fairly flavourless and burnt. We didn’t bother moving to desserts

We went to Carluccios for a breakfast as a special treat on Friday 13/10/23, but when the food was put in front of us everything was floating in oil - so much so that I had to try and mop up the excess oil with a serviette. The fried pancetta was undercooked and fatty, the mushrooms was swimming in oil and the eggs were fried hard - even though we requested the yolks to be soft fried. So much for our special treat - We definitely won’t be back! 👎🏻

Cooked to perfection everytime.

Over cooked bacon in a stale foccacia roll. Not good. My friend got a sour sausage in his fry up. Staff friendly and apologised but nothing off the bill.

Starters were superb. Main could have been a bit warmer. Dessert was fabulous. Service was superb.

Looks good from far but far from good! I had chicken Milanese and was flavourless with the bread crumbs so crispy that could have been used as sandpaper the rosemary potatoes were lukewarm and definitely not freshly cooked you can only taste the garlic followed by canoli and espresso recommended by the waiter. Absolute rubbish canoli tasted really sweet and very soggy borderline old and the coffee was un drinkable.I would compare to a meal that you could have on a flight! Lastly the was a display of pastries on the counter with no cover so all the fly were having a party. Recommendation to the management if you want to run and restaurant you need to passion and understand about food.

We went there together with our friends and family(group of 13) to celebrate our civil wedding, the food was spot on, reasonable sized portions and on a very convenient price. We would like to say a big thank you to Anna and Molly who provided a great customer service on the day, always helpfull and always smiling. Also thank you to the kitchen and all the other staff that made our small dinner celebration even more special. I highly recomend this establishment and definitely will return whenever we are in the area. Iwould give more stars but unfortunately 5 is maximum thank you team Walton on Thames

Spacious carlucccios restaurant serving Italien classics. Service was fast and friendly and food was nice. It’s a bit on the pricey side but at the moment they are doing a 50% promotion on main dishes which is excellent value.

Just had one of the best seafood linguine ever at Carluccio's, Walton on Thames. Beautifully presented, absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back. Was served by a lovely waitress by the name of Anna and spoke with the charming manager who is usually based at branch in Richmond. Lovely experience

A particularly nice Carluccio's with a light airy feel and high ceilings. The food is you usual Carluccio's; nicer than most other chain Italians and always enjoyable. So nice that you're as welcome for a coffee and pastry as you are for a full meal. Kids and families are treated very well.

Mushroom soup was good, service was fantastic and staff were great at accommodating my allergy

Clean, comfortable with fast service. Nice food. I enjoyed the seafood linguine. I was too full to sample the dessert.

Wonderful restaurant, me and my partner love to go here on holiday. Had the beef ragu this time, although I also recommend the steaks and the carbonara. It would be better if the ragu had more meat, but that would be my only negative comment.

Food was really good as was the service. Was surprisingly quiet for a sunny weekend lunchtime, not that I'm complaining!

Foccacia didn’t come. Apart from that everything was fine.

Stopped of for a quick lunch at Carluccios and had great service from Stella. Food was good and service was quick. More importantly she, on finding out that food allergies were potentially an issue, checked ingredients in everything we were having carefully . Stella even explained that she couldn't risk putting a lemon slice in my drink as it had been in a container with orange slices so could have been cross contaminated. Great awareness and initiative- thank-you Stella for bring so careful.

Soup was extra delicious, couldn't make any better than that. Best I have ever had. Seabus is fresh , perfectly seasoned. Restaurant is nicely designed , sparkling clean. Definitely recommend this place.

Avocado did not say as a side was mixed with onions etc. They don't do plain avocado is pre made! Service excellent and friendly knew their deals and menu. Atmosphere great.

I love carluccio's the vegetarian options are good too (pasta with spinach balls - I forget the name) they also sell specialty foods such as rum soaked chocolate figs, coffee and chocolate

The food arrived cold and one of the packages was open.

There was hardly any fries in our order and there was hardly any sauce on our pasta

Came for a family lunch on a cold and wet Sunday. Service was adequate and food not half bad. What was depressing was everything else. This restaurant is poorly looked after - chips in paintwork, and a cavernous, echoey feel lacking any kind of atmosphere. Austere bare brown wood tables convey not one iota of luxury or service. Even paper table cloths here would have looked / felt significantly nicer. It was Christmas, and whilst I'm not a believer in dousing everything in decorations, the restaurant had little Xmas 'cheer' going on. For a chain with the pedigree of Carluccio's this branch is a poor example. The area manager must really not be doing his/her job very well if they believe that everything is okay here. Spend some money Carluccio's! Your customers are - they deserve more from your restaurants than badly lit, chipped, paint splattered cavernous spaces.....

Food was delivered as requested. My selection from the dishes on offer was nicely presented and perfectly cooked. It was a new dish for me, but I'll try something else from the extensuve menu next time. I'll be back!

I paid quite a lot of money for just 3 ridiculous bocconcini I was shocked to see, I took pictures and i was really upset.I decided I will never order from carluccios or even go there.Also the small pot of mayonaise for calamari friti and 3.95 fot the classic coke is a rip off ZERO STARS FOR THEM

We entered through main entrance opposite Sainsburys...restaurant was quite except a group, sign says please wait here..we did. Someone was head-down busy (4m away) on till amongst products.....we waited. Another member of staff appeared but only to collect dust pan and wandered off ...we waited. We then asked shall we sit anywhere...err yes ...at this point we decided that no service , not atmosphere we would not stay..passing open kitchen door we were happy to move on to adjacent premises. So sad carluccios was so good where has it gone so wrong???

We regularly visit the Walton restaurant and have been among the more loyal customers over the pandemic and have been regular visitors to Carluccios restaurants over the last 23 years. The standard of service on the evening of Saturday 29 Jan 2022 was awful and the manner in which that matter was dealt with by management was worse. My husband ordered the Penne Giardiniera. The pasta was not al dente and my husband reported that his pasta was severely undercooked. They restaurant offered to remake his order, only for the order to turn up without the Spinach Balls. We were not informed about this in advance and made our dissatisfaction known. We were only then told that they had run out of Spinach Balls at 7.45pm. It should be noted that the restaurant closes at 10pm and we can only assume that there would have been many more of these dishes ordered through the evening. We should have been told that a part of the dish was missing in advance and asked if this was acceptable. In any case the assistant manager on the day failed to alleviate the situation, firstly telling a customer of 23 years who orders a Penne Giardiniera each time they come in 1) that they were lying (i.e they are not experienced enough to understand how their pasta should have tasted from a textural point of view) and then 2) blaming busyness and that a new chef was being trained (this is certainly no fault of the customer). The assistant manager continued to insult us and spoke to us in an unacceptable manner. The customers next to us were shocked at how we were treated. This is unacceptable and certainly not how any customer should be treated.

Visited on a Friday night which wasn't busy considering. Was seated and nearly immediate asked if we wanted to order, and asked for more time on two occasions. Overpriced food, eg nearly £16 for two small pieces of sea bass, on a plate alongside a ton of tomatoes and no potatoes. Not worth the price! My friend had pasta, slightly better value at around £12, but nothing special. Was given dessert menu, however staff didn't return for nearly 20 minutes. Asked for drinks menu, and still nobody came over to take our order. Got frustrated, finally flagged a member of staff down to get the bill. Went for dessert and drinks elsewhere in the end.

I booked a table at Carluccio's on a Saturday evening 9th October for 8 pm. We arrived and were told service was 45 minutes behind, we sat down in a virtually empty restaurant and noticed that the doors for the food couriers were the busiest thing in the place. We ordered our meal and the waitress returned after about 10 minutes and announced the meal I had ordered wasn't available, I said: OK I'll have a lasagne, when we finally got served I called the waitress over and said this is like no lasagne I've ever had in my life, it's awful. She said OK and walked away. Sorry Mr Carluccio but someone is using your name but not supplying your normally excellent menu. Needless to say, we will not return to this establishment.

Just shockingly bad!!! We visited Carluccios on 24 September for a family meal. We were seated fairly quickly and our order was taken for starters. Focaccia leaves a bit to be desired as it was cold. We ordered mains and waited a hour for our meal, but had to complain to get them to bring out mains. They are too busy getting takeout orders done and neglected the people in restaurant. Lasagne was good, carbonara was fine but the biggest issue was the seafood linguine. The seafood was frozen and not properly cooked, I only had two bites as it tasted vile. I was actually sick when I got home. Absolutely horrible meal. We will not be back as they don’t take care with cooking.

Booked in and then had to change the time. This was not an issue. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, would recommend theBeef Ragu, yummy. The carbonara would have benefitted from a little creamy saucy. Definitely increase you Diet Coke order. However, this is the place to eat at Walton-On-Thames. Excellent value for money and has exceeded our expectations. Great staff, wonderful atmosphere and the most amazing food. Will be recommending Carluccio’s for the place to eat. Food was hot and well prepared but you sent me plain garlic bread whereas I ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella :(. Please refund me for this , thank you

Most of the meal was delicious but unfortunately the garlic foccacia was quite burnt so too bitter to eat. Delivery prompt and super friendly - especially impressed as a Saturday evening.

I order food and Restaurant let me know they have problem with delivery so was cancelled order and after four hours they delivered me food and charge me so is not fear because if is something cancel then is cancel

MY husband and I went here for dinner to celebrate his birthday. We live in Weybridge and it was the first time we visited. The meal was absolutely wonderful and we had a lovely, friendly and cheerful waiter.

We could not find any other restaurant in the area with outdoor seating, but ended up being very happy that we found Carluccio's! They have a perfect amount of different options on the menu for every taste, fun new versions of cocktails, and prices are reasonable. Heaters outside were also very appreciated! Most importantly, many different staff members that interacted with us were extremely nice and helpful, so we walked out happier than we came in (and with some takeaway carrot cake ;)) Thank you!

Received completely the wrong order. Phoned just eat customer services who said there was nothing I could do and they would process a complaint within 48 hours. In the meantime they said I could either throw away or eat what had been delivered in error. Tried phoning the restaurant but constantly busy line

The pasta was good but unfortunately, the chicken was really cool and the salad was a small portion and also very soggy

We had our first visit to carluccios in Walton on Saturday for my husbands birthday since our local Cobham branch was sadly closed. I cannot praise the staff enough - the food was absolutely delicious and presented wonderfully , they catered incredibly well for my Coeliac which is always very reassuring for me . Every waiter greeted us and seemed very happy to be at work and despite the awful current climate we find ourselves in , it actual still felt very normal in there (despite the masks and social distanced tables ) which of course is compulsory now anyway . It was also so nice to see Max one of the waiters from our Cobham branch who is fabulous with the kids and so friendly . Thank you carluccios Walton for a wonderful dining experience, we will be back after our next lockdown!!

Went for quick lunch today And I had linguine di mere ...the pasta dish was deliciously cooked and full of taste. Well done again guys. I ll be back for more soon. Ciao.

This was our restaurant of choice whilst making our first tentative steps out of lock down, and the experience was absolutely superb, reminding us exactly what we had been missing. The food was superb, simple Italian classic dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. The staff were all absolutely fantastic, and the manager in particular was superb, and couldn't do enough to help us, accommodating all our requests with a friendly smile. Great buzzy atmosphere, lots of other very happy diners, and the restaurant was extremely attentive to the latest Coronavirus precautions. This was our second positive visit in September, and we'll be back again very soon - thank you!

Excellent, varied menu, with ample, interesting choices for the vegan and gluten intolerant members of our party. Exceptionally careful to avoid any cross contamination. Good portion sizes of well cooked, well presented food. Staff friendly and efficient. Amazing value for money. Would not hesitate to eat there again.

I booked a table for my partner’s birthday as it’s (was) one of his favourite place. We got there on a Sunday at 7pm. We sat down, started looking at the (not very big) menu and the waitress started telling us “oh, we don’t have anymore this, anymore that...”. The music was quite loud and not very “typical” of an Italian restaurant as it was dance music. The waitress then came back and told us they’d also ran out of more ingredients. We then decided to just leave the restaurant and go somewhere else to enjoy the birthday dinner. A bit of a letdown from Carluccio’s. There was absolutely no atmosphere at all, the music was awful and loud, the furniture were not matching. We will definitely not go back.

We decided to have breakfast and booked a table. The staff were really friendly and took care of the allergies. The breakfast was great. Really a great time.

The food is excellent!! Fresh and mouthwatering. The sea bass is a must!

I wasn’t impressed with food, calamari rings were very bland and chewy, the chicken had a slimy texture. I would not re order.

Quick and friendly service, covid measures in place, and really delicious food! As a vegan, (dining with a non-vegan), I highly recommend. Great value too, cooked breakfast + coffee + juice for £11.50 (half price Mon-Wed)!

I booked a table for two at this restaurant for 8pm this evening which was confirmed and I reconfirmed it yesterday via Open Table. My friend and I turned up just before 8pm. The staff were extremely unhelpful and said there were no tables available - I said I had booked one inside the restaurant as we did not want to get wet sitting outside if it rained. The waiter went inside to check then came out and said I'm sorry but we don't have any tables. I said I had booked to which he replied their system was not working properly and there were lots of double bookings. He bluntly refused to give us a table despite there being spare tables and said he was running out of food also. We were so angry as we were unable to get into any other decent restaurant after that. I would never go to a Carluccios - disgusting service. Wonder how many others this happened to tonight.

After shielding for 19 weeks was delighted to get out for Breakfast and find our local Carluccio’s was open 🙌🏻🙌🏻. As always, Food & Service was amazing

We enjoyed a super Sunday evening meal here, always plenty to choose from on the menu and very seldom disappoints.The raspberry Prosecco aperitif was a new drink to try, and the other wines on the compact but well scoped list allowed us both to try new wines which went well with our mains. Desserts were so good we had to swap so that we didn’t miss out as we couldn’t decide on only one.Our compliments to both the kitchen and front of house teams who produced such delicious food at the end of a busy day.The restaurant itself was immaculate, the service friendly and welcoming without at any stage feeling intrusive. We left replete, relaxed and will return.

we had the jan vouchers which were a good deal. they kindly let us bring in a cake and 3 waiters sang happy birthday. its nice on a winter evening with all the reflections in the glass and the lights in the trees outside. the kids meal is nice with 3 courses and a nice selection of pasta dishes

Fantastic meal in a busy restaurant but service was impeccable , our food was really good and one of our party was Coeliac and wasnt made to feel different, great menu and knowledgable staff. Three course of lovely food for all 3 of us really recommend
