Pheasantry @ Pizza Express in Kensington and Chelsea

3/4th visit here like the Pizza Express Live, music was good as was the food. My disappointment was my seating this time it was like I was in a cupboard (see my view picture) wife’s view was just ok, can someone at Pizza Express explain why they sell this seat?

Amazing place! One of the best pizza express! The pizza that we had there was very tasty and definitely differs compared to other locations — it was wonderful! People service us were also very friendly and willing to provide the best food for us! It took us around 30-40 mins to have lunch there, even though the place was very busy. Would definitely recommend!

Staff were excellent , services were quick and efficient, person who served us freely gave advice on food and drink options .Having a front row seat also helped with making experience memorable

We had pizza making birthday party for our 3 year old daughter at the upstairs space and the whole experience was excellent . The kids enjoyed it and was great value for money. Also the manager before booking via email was great so it was seamless process from start to finish.

Our pizza wasn't up to its usual standard, and the real disappointment was the Chilli prawns. It had 5 shrimps floating in an oily tomato sauce. Fished the shrimps out but left the rest. On the positive side, reserving online was easy, and the service was excellent. There's a nice vibe.

Went to eat for some dinner with some friends. We got seated by a lovely waitress as soon as we arrived! After we were seated we were given a new server. Didn’t catch the name unfortunately. Each interaction with the waiter we all felt was very passive aggressive and that he had a lot of attitude making us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. We had all downloaded the app to claim a reward, we had explained this to our server, when it was time to pay our bill we had asked the server to put our rewards on to which he rudely replied that we should’ve done it on the app. He had never mentioned this any time prior and made it out like this was our fault. I had said to him that I felt the service we had recieved was appalling to which all he responded to this was with a shrug and a ‘that’s fine’ no apology or anything. I feel as though me and my friends were judged by this server, considering we had a bill that rounded up to about £170 we all feel as though we wasted money since the experience was awful. I can definitely speak on behalf of everyone who was with me that night that we will not be returning to Kings Road Pizza Express. There were also many different interactions with said waiter that were all just very impolite. I myself work in hospitality so we were all very respectful customers so not too sure why we got treated the way we did.

A really nice atmosphere and great food. If you're not paying attention while walking by, you might miss the main entrance, as it has a somewhat hidden garden vibe. It's one of the places I would prefer to visit again. The waiters are trying to move quickly in a bit of a panic, and while they are well-intentioned, I would recommend they be more patient in explaining the menu. However, please don't take this as a negative criticism. I think sitting in the garden would be very enjoyable in warm weather.

Great service. Small inside, so sometimes you will need to wait for the table. Outdoor space in summer is great

Sonia is a superstar. She really made our experience! She made sure that we had our food on time. We were in a rush, she spoke to the chefs and made sure that our food was delivered in 10 to 15 minutes. Would highly recommend, excellent service :)

I just like to say and make a complaint about their customer service their staff and the manager. Hope the owner sees it on the camera , we have been going to that pizza express because it’s just around the corner from our house. The staff and the manager were very rude to us. I asked for kids course. He only brought the pizza and he threw the plate at us without any explanation and then I go tell the manager she only looks at me, giving me the look. This is not the right way to treat your loyal customers.

Pizza was cold. Chicken looked like someone dropped a whole bunch of seasoning into it. Also cold.

Very disappointed with service at the Chelsea pizza express Reserved a table yet still took over an hour for food to arrive and very stressed staff not happy to help. Not the staffs fault but clearly not prepared for a fully booked restaurant. Not the usual express experience 👎

My friend was playing a gig in their jazz club so this was my first experience here and it didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing, they had a great Christmas menu with lots of selection and the atmosphere with the lights and setting of tables was stunning. The service was slightly slow once the act had started but that’s understandable as you don’t want to distract them. Will be back again.

Pizzas are amazing, so are the other accompaniments. The waiters provide great guidance. We had a nice dinner thanks to them, thank you very much. Since the ceiling is low downstairs, it gets incredibly noisy when it's crowded :)

Visited to see the incredible Never the Bride band. This is an excellent small venue for seeing bands, complete with a grand piano. Service was excellent from the friendly staff and pizzas were very tasty.

When we sat down the waitress (we didn’t get her name as we were in a hurry to leave after almost 3 hours of awful service) was relatively pleasant, however she slowly got ruder when my friend wasn’t sure if she wanted her side dish to come with her main or before her meal, the waitress rudely snapped ‘well which is it then!’ My friend and I waited almost 2 hours for our food to come, we didn’t mind too much as we were chatting. It was a quite a busy Tuesday night but tables were thinning out and there were plenty of staff standing around chatting together. We got coffee menus and half an hour later she came back to take our order. It took another 20 minutes to get her attention to pay, only when I started to put my coat on did she rush over and rudely say ‘you need to pay!’ When we complained about her attitude she rolled her eyes and said she had other tables to serve (there was one table left in the restaurant at this point). We will never be revisiting this site again, plenty of other reasonably priced pizza places that serve promptly (within 3 hours) and don’t have an attitude.

didn’t get my food after waiting an hour, went onto google to get a number to phone the place, the place closed at 10 but i was still able to order online at 10:40 waited into 12:00 am for the food which never came and now it says delivered.

Great evening, went there with the family for my wife’s birthday (12 of us). For such a big party, the service was great. The food was quick and delicious. I had the garlic prawn pizza, loved it. The manager (Ethan) came and checked in to make sure the evening was perfect. Truly the extra mile. Would highly recommend.

Visited the music venue.. great evening.. I'd forgotten how good the pizzas are.. The music venue is brilliant.. really small and intimate with great atmosphere..

We weren't at all sure about seeing the Milkmen, one of our favourite rocking blues bands, in this sort of environment, but it was really special. A great intimate gig!

My English boyfriend was desperate to show me his fav English chain. I was BEYOND pleasantly surprised. What a beautiful venue! Yummy food, just what you’d expect. Prompt service, clean, all you could ask for!

Very nice atmosphere, music may be a bit too loud but it’s very nice music so it’s fine. Service was on the good side, a bit slow but still good. Food was fine, the wine tasted possibly corked, but I didn’t bother. The pizza was Lacking crust, I don’t know if high quality materials were used because it wasn’t very tasty, could definitely compare to a Sainsbury’s frozen pizza.

Ann Hampton Callaway was absolutely amazing on Sat 26th Oct 2024. Her silky voice and piano playing, song delivery and ability to thrill her audience and keep them entertained is a skill few posses, many try to do but, fail miserably. Isn't it well ovetdue for Ann to be inducted into the Jazz Hall of Fame? I genuinely hope this not the last time we see her at the Pheasantry. Hey big spender 🎤🎵

Went to a live show here tonight and it was fantastic EXCEPT they didn’t have the air-con on so was a bloody sweat box! Everyone was so hot so was very distracting from the show….

Went to a live gig, great atmosfere and food.

Met for a family occasion and felt the staff were very accommodating. We were a larger group and they allowed us to move table and were very helpful and speedy with a late guest arrival. Surroundings are lovely and food was great.

We ordered some pizza’s to take away. Unfortunately the pizza’s were not that good and the service was quite hectic once we ordered them. Maybe we were there on a bag day… 🤷🏼‍♂️

I went on a trip from Japan. I was shopping at the nearby Harrods, but the atmosphere made me tired and I was also hungry, so I was looking for a nearby restaurant to satisfy my hunger, and I found it. However, I'm really glad I chose this place. It was very delicious, and they helped me with my poor English. This was already 5 years ago, but thank you very much.

Kings road, there were fruit flies in there. Pizza (pepperoni) thin crust was good

I paid by PayPal and delivery girl question me to the extent that the pizza and doughballs were freezing cold by the time she let me have my order I showed her proof of purchase she was unable to understand the pizza was not in a hot pizza Carrier

I’ve visit the place on Saturday night, although was very busy, service was super good and efficient! Starters, pizza and dessert arrive just on the perfect time. Our waitress was lovely too, her name is Alexa (I think), she was very smiley and attentive and looked after us definitely 5 stars out 5! Gorgeous location too!

Nuestra comida salió fría. Los langostinos de chile eran pequeños camarones congelados horribles sin sabor. Mi carbonara al forno estaba fría, sin absolutamente ninguna tapa crujiente, que es precisamente como el plato está destinado a ser servido. El servicio fue extremadamente lento, esperamos con nuestros platos vacíos en la mesa durante media hora, antes de que eventualmente subiera a la recepción para pagar. Cuando dije que había esperado mucho tiempo, el gerente dijo “¿te molestaste en llamar a alguien?”. Este es un servicio horrible y estoy increíblemente decepcionado.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 😁 The staff are all very kindhearted and friendly people, and not to mention the food is to die for! If I were to recommend something specific, it would have to be the Honeycomb Cream Slice. It is essentially a decadent piece of cheesecake with salted caramel pieces in the middle, served with ice cream and chocolate drizzled on the top. If you like cheesecake, you can’t go wrong! Tell your friends, say hi to Francesca, and of course… enjoy :)

Un precioso edificio en el Camino del Rey que estábamos deseando visitar. La zona de estar al aire libre es lo suficientemente agradable. Eso fue lo único bueno. Personal desatenta - uno nos ignoró, pero saludó y sentó a una mujer y niños que entraron después de nosotros. Finalmente llamamos la atención de un camarero y nos trajo menús, pero luego nos dejó. El problema principal para nosotros era que no era inspirador. La misma comida de siempre en el menú, gran parte de la cual no está permitida en el “precio fijo”. Para conseguir la ‘oferta’ hay que pertenecer al ‘club’. Hemos tenido problemas con eso antes, donde tienes que pagar la factura a través de la aplicación, para cada persona por separado. En esta ocasión la aplicación se negó a cargar en nuestros teléfonos - solo una pantalla blanca en blanco a pesar de tener buenas señales de 5 G. Podía acceder a través del sitio web, pero eso también era problemático. Nos rendimos y nos fuimos - el almuerzo en el pub sobre la carretera era mejor!

Sitting alone here now as my husband and 2 children had to go elsewhere to eat. My pizza was the only edible thing from the order. The kids pasta bologna was stone cold parts were rock hard. Same with my husbands pasta. My sons margarita pasta was disgusting. What a shame as first impressions of the place and staff was nice.

Usually I don’t make my complaints officially but today is a day. While hanging out with friends and wanted to have some coffee and other drinks we came across this place. After making an order we were told we have to order at least starters for each of us ( 4 people) as you can’t just have a coffee here. Even manager came to tell us so, which is ridiculous as some other people can just come for a coffee and dessert. I mean, we are totally fine to spend our money elsewhere but if you have this minimum order rule then maybe make it official on your menu. And no, place wasn’t packed with customers either. Maybe this will be helpful for people who just have a mood for a cup of coffee.

The food is always delicious and coming to Pizza Express is always a nostalgic experience for me, but my service yesterday was above and beyond. Though I grew up near this branch, I live in America now and decided to have my final meal here. Anna, who looked after me, could not have been more friendly and welcoming and made my last lunch in London really special.

Came here for dessert and cocktails. The chocolate fondant was okay, the ice cream was also okay. Honestly dessert was okay, nothing crazy. Cocktails were very good!!! We got the raspberry spritz and berry mojito. The raspberry spritz was better, sweeter. Berry mojito was still very good but I could taste more alcohol.

Pizza Express Live with Emma Smith was great. Food and service was good as always. We are from the USA but travel to London frequently. We always plan time for PE Live. Never been disappointed.

I’ll give this pizza express 10/10 on the ambience, location and decor of this restaurant. Loved it!.. we enjoyed the outdoor space which was sooo pretty and so comfortable and laid back to sit in, have lunch and relax in. The pizzas took a little time but were 7/10, good but not fantastic!

My partner and I are regular customers here from when gio was a manager here. Food was still great. But the old blonde female staff was very rude at our back when we were leaving. She's got an attitude when she's serving as well and that should probably need to be fixed.

Service was great, very friendly staff. However, the prices are ridiculously expensive, almost 70 quid for 3 Margheritas and a juice is a total rip off.

Avoid. Absolutely not worth it. Second time I’ve been here, the wait time for food is so long. Order incorrect and not as described on menu. Our waitress was lovely, totally not her fault. Won’t be coming again.

Oh my gosh. Ate here on Saturday and just had the most amazing, enthusiastic, kind and helpful waitress called Desiree... I eat at Pizza Express, like, all the time, and she was just the most top notch person in food service I've ever met... So just thought I'd give her a shout out. A lovely experience all round.

A Pizza Express is a Pizza Express, right? Except this one has a nice alfresco walled garden to dine in, fast, polite service, and great food. Definitely worth a go if you happen to be in that part of London.

We ordered at home for dinner last Sunday. Pizza was cold almost no cheese also they forgot one more layer of pizza under it. I cannot describe enough photo should be seen. We ate half of it because we were super hungry but rest of it went to bin. Sadly!!!

Like this Pizza Express very much and often visit when in London. Pizzas are always good but have marked down food by one star as my husband's chicken salad nicoise wasn't up to the standard we've been used to in our many years of eating in this chain. Quality of food was good but less of everything ie a couple of pieces of anchovy, half a boiled egg, scant dressing etc. Understand this is probably to keep prices down but some of us would prefer a slight increase in price for a more satisfying meal. Still happy to highly recommend.

Nice ambience and good pizza. Loved their pizzas, the pepperoni pizza or American Hot. The place is clean and well maintained. Not much of a wait time for the food; if you are hungry, find a Pizza Express!! Staff here could work some more on friendliness or choice of words. "Busy day" is lovely to hear but by now, it can't be be an excuse for Pizza Express. 🙂

Romana style pizza is super good!

We went to the live show at The Phaesentry Club. It’s a small and intimate venue that let you enjoy good live music up close to the artists while eating tasty pizza. A great experience!

Surprisingly good, but a little pricey.

Love the venue and breezy outside garden space as we have a small dog. Food is great - staff are friendly and service is fast. We enjoy eating here.

We visited Pizza Express on a busy Sunday evening. Despite the beautiful ambiance and the wonderful service from a hardworking lady outside we were let down by the awful quality of the food. It's a shame that the beautiful atmosphere wasn't matched by the taste of the dishes at all!!!!

The experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing. We waited for 7 minutes just to get a table, and once seated, the service was incredibly slow and unresponsive. The staff seemed unpleasant and disinterested. Moreover, the food was served cold and of mediocre quality, especially considering the exorbitant prices. We even had to ask for our change back, which was unacceptable. Overall, it was a thoroughly unsatisfactory dining experience.

We enjoyed a great evening of music. Great concert, excellent Pizza, great wine and nice service. We thank you!

Pizza express never fails to deliver. I’ve been going for over 30 years and holds so many fond memories. Our waitress Anna was an absolute superstar. A warm smile, attentive and paid so much attention to our 11 month old daughter. Made the experience so special and we left with big smiles on our faces. We will definitely be coming back. Another amazing night at Pizza Express Live. The Real Thing - live, upfront and personal. Such an amazing venue, I would never give up my membership to this venue! We are lucky to have this in London, a hidden gem 🍕🎤💕. Atmosphere, simply the best you are gonna get in London. Food - you get the normal Pizza Express menu, which happens to be the best pizza's, and their house Chianti goes down really well 🍷

This was Italy in the middle of London. Pizza was perfect, very hospitable, very loud, which I really liked because the Italian flair really came across, I can recommend it to everyone. The name is a bit strange but the food was very good.

I had a great time for my birthday the food was lovely drinks very reasonable our waitress was absolutely lovely very attentive the atmosphere was fantastic. I really like it here and will definitely be returning.

Everything was ok. The upstairs looked nicer than downstairs. Had to call over waiters a few times. Pizzas were ok if a bit thin.

Great staff in this branch, very attentive waiter, also the Pheasantry is a lovely venue. We had a relaxing 1.5hrs prior to a concert at Cadogan Hall.

This is a 6 star establishment. We did a kids' pizza making party on their 1st floor private room on a Saturday morning and it was an amazing experience. 19 3 year olds were somehow entertained and fed with minimal fuss. The venue was accommodating with us attaching some balloons and bringing a cake. Our waiter Lina was an absolute super star and worked so hard at some point I saw sweat running from her brow. All guests young and old (up to 84 years) enjoyed the party more than they thought possible. We will make this a regular haunt to repay what we felt was exceptional service - and this completely without disturbing other guests on the ground floor!

Update March 8, 2024: I have yet to receive a response from the manager about our unfortunate experience. This silence only reinforces the impression that the customer's satisfaction is not a priority for the management team. --- Update 4 December 2023. Having been asked to contact the manager which I have done I have received no response after 3 weeks! - After a visit to the Saatchi Gallery, we chose Pizza Express for our son's favorite dough balls. Initially, the staff was welcoming, and we placed our orders. Unfortunately, while my son's pizza arrived, the dough balls were forgotten. To add to the disappointment, my wife, Mia, was severely burnt by the extremely hot ham on her pizza, an incident that could have been avoided with a caution from the server. In seeking ice for her burn, I encountered a lack of urgency and empathy from the staff, particularly one who dismissed our repeated requests while prioritizing dessert preparation. When the ice was finally provided, it was with reluctance and an attitude that added to our discomfort. The experience was further marred by overhearing the staff speak negatively about the incident and a palpable unease in their service thereafter. Despite this, we finished our meal, which was average in quality - my pizza cold, my wife's too hot, and my son's mediocre. We left without the initially forgotten dough balls and without any acknowledgment of my wife's injury. I prefer to highlight positives and respect the demanding nature of service roles. However, the service at this Pizza Express was notably poor, overshadowing the cozy ambiance of the place. I'm compelled to warn others and urge management to improve their customer care. Regrettably, we won't return, a letdown in such a reputable area.

I was order again the same pica and is bring the same person which bring few days ago . l open a box in front of the delivery person and he saw it all mess inside and he is told me is like that and is gone . l take a picture of the picca and if you have option l will happy to share with you and see what is going on . till there l will not order any more with just eat as people which is work in delivery don't care how delivery a item . thank you .Edmond

One of my favorite pizzerias. Wonderful service and the most delicious food.

Visited for a live show. On entry it was very chaotic and we were stood outside of the room waiting to be seated for ages while the act was doing his soundcheck, which we had paid extra for with the 'VIP' experience. Very rude member of staff that finally showed us to our table, their attitude was appalling!
