Great restaurant, super food super service

A little gem in the heart of the Kings Road. Wonderful food and friendly & efficient service. It’s on my “favorites” list.

We hired a private dining space and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. I certainly felt in very safe hands. The venue was perfect, the food was delicious and the service was absolutely excellent

We held a big birthday celebration in the private dining Conservatory. The room and tables looked lovely. The wine and Prosecco were excellent quality. The food was enjoyable and the team were absolutely excellent. Great space, service and ambience for your special event. Thank you the team at Manicomio.

Every time I've been to Manicomio I have had a delicious meal! Beautifully presented and varied menu. The rosemary chips are to die for!!

My sister and I decided to treat ourselves to dinner here after an exhausting day sales shopping in the nearby King's Road. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel at home by the friendly staff. The service throughout the evening was excellent despite the restaurant being quite busy. The menu was succinct but we still had a problem choosing as everything looked so good. When the food arrived it didn't disappoint. We shared some burrata which was deliciously creamy. I then chose the lobster linguine which was very generous while my sister went for the wild sea bass fillet which she said was cooked to perfection. Sadly we had no room left to try one of the array of traditional Italian desserts but we will definitely rectify this on our next visit. Highly recommended.

An Excellent Italian Restaurant!!! Fresh , delicious and seasonal food. Home made pastas stole the show. Service was excellent / discreet not intrusive just on time when needed. We will definitely return.

Celebrated my mums 60th birthday here in the private dining area . The food, service and atmosphere were amazing!

The service was really poor. We were served cold focaccia, which was a small portion for an antipasto, and the Carbonara resembled noodles drenched in double cream. My boyfriend, who is Roman, had to eat his meal simply because he was starving. The waitress was not pleasant at all, and when we brought up the issue with the Carbonara, she reacted with arrogance. Additionally, they charge a 15% service fee plus a BOS fee without our knowledge.

Después de acumular una cuenta de 170 + GBP en el restaurante, que es habitual para nosotros más de cien veces que hemos estado, que estábamos más que felices de pagar, de repente nos acusaron de tratar de estafar al restaurante de solo 11 GBP porque enviamos de vuelta un nuevo desierto en el menú que la camarera recomendó que mi esposa y yo encontramos falta de gusto que luego esperaba como es habitual en todos los restaurantes del mundo para hacer que es quitarlo de la cuenta. Cuando vi exageradamente que no lo hicieron, naturalmente lo llamé la atención de las camareras, que dijo que luego llegaría al gerente en lugar de solo cuidar de él mismo, que generalmente los camareros y camareras hacen cuando es una cantidad tan pequeña. En lugar de obligarla, el gerente 'André' se me acercó apresuradamente diciendo que estaban eliminando el cargo por servicio también de la factura. Después de preguntar sorprendentemente por qué, dijo que es porque no quieren que vuelva de nuevo y continuó diciendo, delante de TODA mi FAMILIA nada menos, que es porque CADA vez que vine (que ahora debe toparse con cientos de veces) envié comida de vuelta y por eso ya no quieren mi negocio. Cuando le pregunté de dónde sacó su información dijo que tienen toda mi historia en el sistema y se muestra allí. Y cuando refuté esa afirmación y le pedí pruebas, se negó a mostrarla diciendo que esa información era confidencial, después de lo cual volvió a cambiar su historia y dijo que en realidad es información dada por un camarero en junio (hace 8 meses) que dejó una nota en mi perfil sobre cómo había enviado un plato o dos de vuelta durante mis visitas al restaurante desde Dubai en el verano, que debe haber sido 10 veces al menos en conjunto. En lugar de tomar eso como una oportunidad para ver por qué un cliente de larga data podría haber estado tan insatisfecho con su comida, dijo que ninguno de sus otros clientes había hecho eso que me cuesta MUCHO creer en cualquier restaurante en cualquier parte del mundo. Estaba claro en ese momento que básicamente se le insinuaba que yo estaba allí para simplemente enviar comida y no pagar por ella. ¡QUÉ ASCO! ¡Aunque ese hubiera sido el caso, entonces por qué estaba de vuelta tratando de disfrutar de una comida de Navidad con mi familia! ¿O si yo era un notorio freeloader en serie y tenían mi "historial en el sistema", entonces por qué aceptarían mi reserva en primer lugar? Es una lógica MUY defectuosa. Porque incluso si lo que él dice fuera cierto, entonces cualquiera que intentara estafar a un restaurante para salirse con la suya con comida gratis lo haría gastando miles y miles de libras en el transcurso de los años solo para salirse con la suya con comida por valor de cientos que ni siquiera pudieron disfrutar al final de todos modos porque fue devuelta y no comida. Debo ser el criminal más tonto del mundo. Es obvio que sus motivos fueron alimentados por prejuicios y no por hechos y esto me parece abominable. ¡Necesita ser despedido cuanto antes! Nunca me han hablado de esta manera en ningún lugar del mundo, desde McDonalds hasta restaurantes Michelin de 3 estrellas. He estado en Manicomio más de cien veces y lo había elegido como lugar para muchas ocasiones personales, como días del padre y cumpleaños, pero después de este ataque claramente racista (porque no puedo pensar en ninguna otra razón por la que alguien trataría a un cliente de larga data de esta manera por reclamos infundados y por una cantidad tan pequeña de dinero) no voy a volver y haré todo lo posible para buscar justicia, ya sea judicialmente o manchando su reputación que ya se había hecho a sí mismo por este trato impactante de un huésped.

Booked impromptu for a friends catch up lunch and was pleasantly surprised by this venue. Authentic Italian food in a cozy setting, good service and good festive menu. Will definitely book again

Service could not be faulted however the food arrived within 5mins of ordering and was not of the standard that you would expect from an establishment like this.

The excellent food (we had the yummy homemade focaccia and prosciutto) was fresh and a great start to the lunch. The starters were divine. We had monkfish and spaghetti, extremely delicate flavours which were a triumph. Mains we equally as good, delivered with the requested wait which is always a nice touch. I had the Pheasant, cooked to perfection. Soft Papardella marries with an uncious Ragu was also well received. The Chicken Milanese was juicy and had a crunchy fine layer of breadcrumbs. Again, cooked so well it never touxhed the sides. We topped that off with desserts in the form of cheese (and Port)-more than enough to go around although two of us found room for their delicate pistachio and chestnut Millfoglie-a rare delight that we felt deserved a glass of Tokaji. It's not just that the food is superb, it is, but it's that whole package. The service is decreet, not overbearing, the ambience is comfortable and plush without being stuffy and whilst this is not the cheapest place to eat, in my opinion, it's value for money and delivers on every front. Andrei (GM) and Magdalena do a wonderful job and I for one, despite there being 10,000 restaurants in London, will be going back early in 2025

La excelente comida (teníamos la deliciosa focaccia casera y prosciutto) era fresca y un gran comienzo del almuerzo. Los entrantes eran divinos. Teníamos peces monje y espaguetis, sabores extremadamente delicados que fueron un triunfo. Mains somos igualmente buenos, entregado con la espera solicitada que siempre es un buen toque. Tenía el Faisán, cocinado a la perfección. Papardella suave se casa con un Ragu inconsciente también fue bien recibido. El pollo milanés era jugoso y tiernamente cocinado con una hermosa capa fina de pan rallado. No tocó los lados. Terminamos con postres en forma de queso (y Oporto) - más que suficiente para dar la vuelta aunque dos de nosotros encontramos espacio para su delicado pistacho y castaño Millfoglie - una rara delicia que sentimos que merecía una copa de Tokaji. No es solo que la comida sea excelente, lo es, sino que es todo ese paquete. El servicio es decret, no exagerado, el ambiente es cómodo y lujoso sin ser congestionado y aunque este no es el lugar más barato para comer, en mi opinión, es una relación calidad-precio y entrega en todos los frentes. Andrei (GM) y Magdalena hacen un trabajo maravilloso y yo por mi parte, a pesar de haber c. 10.000 restaurantes en Londres, se remontarán a principios de 2025

Today we were in this restaurant, top quality food, very elaborate dishes, I recommend it, keep in mind that it is not cheap, quality has to be paid for.

We were in London for some business. Looked around and saw this restaurant. It was definitely a good choice. The service from when we arrived to when we left was all really fantastic. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The food was really good. Full of flavour and really well presented. We tried a few things from the menu and shared. They were all absolutely perfect. Coffee is excellent too. Service was fast, despite being very busy. All really great, thanks so much for having us!

Great setting, delicious food and friendly service. Would definitely recommend. Was so nice to find vegan options for our daughter so she could feel included and they were just as good as our dishes.

Qué montón de basura. No hay respeto por las alergias y mucho menos por las graves. Me dijeron lo que podía comer y así que pedí lubina que se puso delante de mí sin salsa o verdura que me dijeron que podía comer. El manager era genial así que finalmente me dieron papas fritas y brócoli, pero a la mujer que tomó el orden no le importó una pizca y debería ser despedida. Basura de Chelsea muy cara para los turistas que no les importa comer comida italiana adecuada. Me comeré las uñas de los pies con una salsa casera decente antes de poner un pie en el lugar de nuevo.

Comemos en muchos restaurantes de Chelsea pero no habíamos probado Manicomio, así que fuimos a cenar. El personal era tan grosero y desagradable, que el restaurante estaba prácticamente vacío en ese momento también. La administración debe considerar seriamente su enfoque de la contratación. La comida estaba bien, pero era demasiado caro para lo que teníamos. Hay restaurantes mucho mejores en la zona, lamentamos ir a este.

We took over the Conservatory for a private family gathering, it was perfect, the room looked beautiful. The staff were incredibly helpful, making sure that the little ones got food they would eat & our food was delicious, especially the quail ! Can’t thank them enough

Pacific International team of 16 attended a Christmas lunch at Manicomio Chelsea. Everything from pre-party preparation, to amazingly decorated room and the table, to delicious and visually stunning food was flawless. The service was very attentive, the pace of dishes served allowed plenty of conversations in-between. I highly recommend it for parties of this size - it was perfection! Thank you to Adam, Judyta and the rest of the team for making our Christmas party so memorable!

This was our second visit to Manicomio and was a VERY disappointing experience when compared to our first experience. The food was great however the service was atrocious. Once seated, we waited for 45 minutes to order drinks, and another 15 minutes to order a non-alcoholic beverage. The wait staff were completely confused with different staff coming to the table at different times with no coordination amongst them. After an additional 15 minutes (1.25 hour in total) sitting at our table, we had to flag down yet another member of staff to find someone to take our order. Once we had finished and paid, the manager asked about our experience. I took him aside and told him about our disappointment, which clearly surprised him, however he offered nothing but platitudes. To be clear the food was good, however the service left a lot to be desired. And one other thing, for an up-market establishment….a number of the staff were wearing frumpy clothes that took away from the cache of the experience. We were celebrating an important anniversary for our guest….we will not do this again. For the price paid we were very disappointed.

I booked a dinning room for my Fathers 90th Birthday celebration. We had such a fabulous evening, everything was spot on, the food was delicious, the room was perfect (and much bigger than I thought it was going to be) but it was the people who really made it such a success. The staff could not have been nicer. Helpful, kind, attentive, professional and efficient. Nothing was too much bother and they made the whole evening pass off with seamless ease. They are a credit to the place. My father was a very happy boy and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. I shall certainly recommend you to anyone who’s ever in need of a venue like yours and if I ever come back to London I shall make a point of coming in and dinning with you again. Bien la primera vez, pero luego el maitre arruinó todo. Tuve una comida maravillosa aquí a principios de septiembre. Todos los platos principales eran geniales, mientras que el fritti de calabacín era excepcional. Luego regresé a mediados de septiembre y pedí Vieiras Diversas como aperitivo, seguido de perdiz roja de patas y un buen papparadelle. Cinco "vieiras de buzo" llegaron como aperitivo. We waited over an hour for cold, tasteless food. The staff was rude and dismissive. Overall, a terrible experience. Won’t be coming back.

We booked The Conservatory (one of Manicomio Chelsea’s private dining rooms) for an intimate wedding dinner with around 20 of our friends and could not be happier with the perfect evening. The team - thank you especially to Adam for his patience in all the email back-and-forths - had kindly decorated the space perfectly and printed personalised menus for our event. We had our drink reception in the cosy outdoor garden before moving inside for the dinner. The service was immaculate - the team and kitchen were very accommodating with last minute timing changes (guests running late due to tube issues), the food was incredible, the atmosphere was cosy and elegant. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Manicomio for any special event!

Average food but setting lovely especially sat outside on a glorious august day. Staff efficient and very friendly, only downside was a family nearby with their dog perched on a chair sat at the table, not acceptable!

I hosted a dinner for 25 here for a celebration and the party was perfect. Everyone commented on the great food, ambience, service - it couldn't have gone better. I will be back!

This very pleasant restaurant is in Duke of York Square and, thus, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Chelsea. Service is welcoming, responsive and proficient. Menu leans Italian, with good variety to fit many tastes. Wine list not extensive but solid.

This is one of my favourites when I am in London. It is in a great location, has very friendly service, good food and wine. What more can one ask for?

Without doubt one of the best Italian restaurants in London. The food is superb. The staff could not possibly be more helpful. They have the most gorgeous outdoor eating are with great heaters (If needed) and the dining area inside are as tasteful as you can get. Prices are as you would expect for a restaurant of this quality but not excessive. This has undoubtedly become my go to London restaurant.

Manicomio is always a favourite for us! The service and food are always very good, yesterday we enjoyed the pre fix menu in the sunshine with some lovely crisp white wine, perfetto!

If I had to spend more than a 2 hour dining experience with our waiter, I’d take up the long loved English tradition of colonialism and voyage to the new world and find a new place to live. Overall, the food was lovely, setting was great, the other staff were kind, perhaps just one bad egg.

The prettiest eating outside affordable restaurant I know. Especially for women with small appetites. Maybe expected to have supper too? Love the carpaccio, the focaccia and a glass of very cold dry white wine. The last time I went there we really couldn’t drink the cocktail. Clearly they should have said ‘I don’t know how you do that’. No one can make up an Aviation. It’s very precise. But they accepted their mistake and replaced the disaster with lovely wine. We had a lovely time. It’s one of my go to places to meet friends for lunch.

15% service charge, food service is very slow! ! ! ! ! ! ! I ordered a total of five dishes, and after waiting for two hours, only the pasta was served. I ordered the dishes countless times. Even now, when I write a review, the dishes still haven't been served. The service attitude during the ordering process was not very good! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

This restaurant provides a very unpleasant front house experience each and every time. They insist to allocate you to the worst table possible even though all other tables are free, they are “reserved” or “requested” and you finish your food and and those nicer tables are still unoccupied. If you dare to go with kids (age 10+) they only have 3 or 4 tables they allow you to sit, even through you don’t need pram parking. It ruins the whole experience before even it starts. Tonight, among their empty 10 tables in the outside, we had to sit down on the one which is exposed to rain. The other option we were offered had both rain and wind. The unfriendliest Italian ever!

My veal steak was overcooked and the chef has made a new one after a long wait. overall food is ok, pretty place but lack of character. Service is very good, a well run restaurant. it was a nice lunch but there is no reason for me to go back there.

Only had drinks. By the bar. Can't say I was ecstatic with the service. Looks to me more like a commercial place as opposed to one with real identity.

I had vitello tonnato, homemade focaccia and Amedei Chocolate Mouse: everything was good, especially the dessert. The atmosphere is very pleasant.

The manager was very rude and the bar man refused to give us drinks that we ordered. Would not recommend.

Great location, amazing buzz, but the rubbish service and grumpy manager just ruins it. Menu on paper looks super but the execution is lacking. Hugely expensive. What a shame.

I hosted my book launch party for my memoir, ‘Unashamed’ at Manicomio a couple of weeks ago. The service was outstanding! All the staff were very helpful in ensuring that my event ran smoothly. The food itself was divine. My favourite being the langoustine arancini and tiramisu (world’s best!). I booked the private dining room with access to a private outdoor area. I loved the attention to detail with the candlelight and was especially grateful for the beautiful fresh fuschia pink flowers that the restaurant provided. I recently dined at Manicomio and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The service was exceptionally poor—our server never refilled our glasses of wine until the very end of the meal, and only did so after we explicitly asked him to. This lack of attentiveness was quite frustrating. As for the food, it was a disappointing experience. The overall value was very poor, especially given the ££££ prices. The Pasta Vongole, in particular, was a letdown. The dish lacked flavor and freshness, which made it difficult to enjoy. The only somewhat redeeming item was the Chicken Milanese, which was just okay. Moreover, the prices at Manicomio were very high compared to the quality of the food and service. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Manicomio if you're looking for good food, good service and value for your money.

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, Patricia made our lunch party for our bride-to-be in the private dining room so easy, everything was smooth from start to finish. The food was delicious and the decor of the tables was gorgeous! Thanks Manicomio, will definitely be booking again!

A fabulous evening in the conservatory area with excellent service and food. The extra touches of personalised menus, flowers and candles decorating the table in an already beautiful courtyard made the evening special.

I recently hosted a customer & private dinner at Manicomio; everything from start to finish was fantastic; the team couldn't do enough to accommodate us. We dined in the conservatory which was a stunning, relaxing space. The table was laid beautifully, staff attentive, food and drinks delicious - fabulous and thank you!

Elegant. Chic. Tasty food. Lovely place in Duke of York Square where I hosted a small group of two after a business meeting. Staff were very attentive and friendly. They catered for my allergy requirements and vegetarian food request. The wine was extraordinary and we had a very nice meal. Do try the courgette fries on the side. Rare to find these days but they are one of my favourites. Perfect setting for a romantic meal, with friends or business contacts. Would definitely come again soon.

The restaurant came highly recommended and certainly didn't disappoint on any level: quality and presentation of food, ambiance and friendly, warm service. We will be back!
