Pinocchio in Brighton and Hove

Extremely bad restaurant. We ordered 5 different pizzas. I can’t even say which one was worst. Taste of water or no taste. We felt sick after eating there.

Nice restaurant with good food & service, helpful & attentive staff. Prices are reasonable. Selection of wines is not bad either.

My husband and I had a great meal,good value for money,staff friendly. Only one complaint,we ordered a Rose`wine and we had a White wine brought to the table we did question it,but the lad that served us said its what we ordered,but we know it absolutely was not. So rather than cause a scene we went with it.

Left Pinnochios feeling very satisfied - a three meal course for under £20, and the portions were not small! Nievh served us and was so friendly and helpful!

This is a solid option in Brighton. Very reasonably priced and they are great with large groups. Good drink and food choice.

So disappointing, thought it would be authentic Italian...definitely not...tasted like pre made sauces microwave meals!

I have come to this restaurant twice, mostly due to its affordability, the food is ok, i wouldn’t say it’s the most authentic Italian food in Brighton but you get what you pay for, the atmosphere is nice, the service is good, i celebrated my birthday here and they all brought out a cake and sang me happy birthday which was lovely, the only thing i would like to comment on is that their floor staff can be a bit pushy, always asking if we’re done with our food which feels almost disrespectful and as if they want us to eat and leave, maybe i got unlucky with the service who knows, but it would be nice to not be interrupted every 5 minutes by a server asking if we’re done with the food. Also please look into your tiramisu, it tastes nothing like Italian tiramisu, also no need to drown it in chocolate sauce… i was kind if disappointed with it.

Saw the cheap prices and extensive menu online and decided to give it a try! It was much better than I had expected. Great selection of Italian food, and was delicious. The serving sizes were brilliant. Best value Italian restaurant I’ve been to, would recommend to anyone in Brighton.

Excellent Italian food - we had pizza and pasta and was delicious with generous portions. Tiramisu to end the lunch was just awesome. Ample seating and nice central location. Service is warm and efficient. Fair no if vegetarian options, Prices are good value. Toilets were clean.

I've been here a few times before going to the theatre. It is a good place to have a quick meal before a show.

Stumbled on this place and they were happy to accommodate a walk in. Very friendly/welcoming staff with no snotty - you haven't booked??? Good food in quality & quantity which arrived very quickly although we never felt rushed. Excellent value for money also. Will definitely return when next in town.

17 of us for birthday lunch. Everything was excellent. Nothing is too much for the staff, as always. Food was very tasty and plentiful. Excellent value. Easy access from station and town. Been coming for years and never fails me. Made my day just great!!

Post theatre dinner, Thursday, booked. Very disappointing. Though restaurant was buzzing, our starters came out tepid at best. Mains were, to say the least, not hot AT ALL so were sent back to reheat - which made food tough. Do not recommend.

What a lovely little Italian gem of a restaurant this is. Brilliant helpful staff, sorted us a table by the window. A special mention too, to Rachel our waitress, she was so helpful and friendly and made our evening. Would definitely visit again, very reasonable prices and large portions of food. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.

I so wish I had eaten here before! Very family orientated, so good prices. Smashing food and plenty of it. The chocolate truffle cake is to die for! Nice clean surroundings and very attentive staff. Cracking 'menu del dia' choice of 3 course meals for £15. Just the job. I'll be going back x

My last meal was 30 years ago here. Foods and service excellent. Pricing also fair with the service charge included. The pasta was both tasty and filling. Busy and buzzing. Will come back soon.

We've been here before when my cousin and I have booked a lunch together in Brighton. The venue works very well for us as access for a disabled person is so easy with parking right outside. The place even has wheelchair accessible toilets on the ground floor. It's well positioned for a visit to the Royal Pavillion, The Dome , The Lanes or a walk on the seafront. The service is friendly and efficient and there is ample choice of starters, pasta, pizza, salads, meat and fish dishes and desserts. We shared an antipasto platter with olives, salami, bresaola, parma ham , salami, mozzarella, artichoke and garlic bread, we then chose the pork tenderloin in wine cream and mixed roasted pepper sauce with saute potato and salad. We had homemade cherry liqueur and blueberry trifle with cream and ice cream sundaes for dessert. We polished off 2 bottles of decent house wine plus I large glass of wine. Our bill came to around £120. Very good value for some very tasty food cooked and prepared with care. This is a popular and much loved restaurant which is why people keep returning. The portions are big and the prices won't break the bank. The service is also very good. Can't wait to go back to Pinocchios it's a gem of a place.

Great stuff, super service. Nice food, my spaghetti we so deligious but my wife ordered risotto which was not as good as my dish. Garlic bread no need to order not good at all.

We stumbled accross this en route to the Dome for a gig. No booking, on entry the smell was amazing. It was about 5.20pm was told we could have a table for 2 but would need to leave by 6.15pm as had large bookings coming in. We ordered sides and mains. Portions were large, hot and very tasty. Prices were really reasonable. Highly recommend. Obviously their location means they cater for pre theatre bookings so booking probably recommended. Will definitely go back!

My boyfriend was sick after dinner today. He ordered Carbonara. He got sick 5 minutes after dinner, so I'm sure the food was not fresh.

You get what you pay for. Guess people get blown away by the food quality compared to the price, but it's far away from being the best Italian restaurant in Brighton. Food was okay but not good enough for any of the family to want to eat it all. In fact, this was the first time nearly all of us left good portions of food on the plate. Prosecco served was flat and had to be replaced. The second round, also flat. Nothing really good to say apart from it's cheap. Kids didn't like it, we won't be back.

Cheap and cheerful. Brighton staple. I've been going here for years. The set menu is insane value. Pizza is always good, but I wouldn't go for the pasta personally. Staff are friendly, but pretty slow. Cutlery and glasses often come out dirty and have to ask for new ones.

As bad as you can get! ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°) The staff looked unfriendly and dead inside but I can now understand why. They were suffocating in those oversized McDonald's t-shirts for uniforms. They approached us as soon as we sat down to take our drinks order and when we asked for 5 minutes to decide they gave us a bombastic side eye. ( ͠° ͟ ͜ʖ ͡ ͠°) The food was really bad. It went from plain to an aggressive mix of everything they had in front of them in the kitchen, chef rly said "take that" and gave it away. My partner's pizza was missing a huge part of two slices and was concealed in cheese and disgusting uncooked zucchinis. After we sent it back he ordered some vegan risotto with mushrooms (I gave him a look of uncertainty <_<), terrible idea really, since the mushrooms looked as if a kombucha scoby gave birth. He also found a piece of pasta inside which I suppose turned out to be a useful way of showing our dissatisfaction :( At some point we had to signal to one of the staff because our food was inedible and even though he saw me he turned and ran faster than Cinderella after the clock struck midnight. To top it all off, they offered us a 10% discount for the pizza fiasco, but conveniently failed to remove the 10% service charge which according to other reviewers gets slurped up by the owners and isn't even given to the clearly under treated staff. They called themselves Pinocchio and now we know why - Pinocchio could rinse the place for ten minutes straight and his nose wouldn't move an inch. 🤥

Lovely, food and great service. It was so busy, obviously many work Christmas parties, but we still served quickly, one pasta and 2 pizzas all delicious. Not a huge choice of wines, but very reasonable

I came here for a Christmas Dinner with some friends. The food was okay, the service was friendly but there were some errors. It was a wholesome family experience fit for those with young children. Nothing blew me away but I didn't hate it! Toilets were reasonable.

Food cold and service was slow. We asked why we wanted the service charge removed from the bill and replied there was no service, the staff member then admitted they were short staffed and to busy to cope. Then don't take so many bookings!

Had the best experience here! The food was soo good with big portions, and it was very affordable as well! We had the 3 course meal set for only £16. Definitely recommend!

We don't visit this restaurant often as we usually visit Donatello instead, but fancied something a little more intimate and romantic. However, we went at the wrong time as we faced the pre-theatre crowd. Despite this, service was mostly still good, although they were clearly rushed off their feet, and the food was still superb!!

We had a table booked and stood there for about ten minutes with one waitress ignoring us. The staff were giving out about another customer after she reportedly asked for a different tonic for her gin- this is not something they should be speaking about...

I've been eating here for many years and have always loved it. Unfortunately having eaten there twice recently myself and the parties I was with was so disappointed !! Such a shame, brightons little gem has dropped it's flavor.

I had the Pollo Milanese. The portion sizes are massive, so you don't really need a starter, but we didn't know that, the starter was actually really bread with tomatos. The chicken was okay but pasta was overcooked and the combination of the sauce being quite bland with the pasta meant it kind of felt like a tin of Heinz spaghetti. I had the Chocolate Gateaux for desert, it was a very dry gigantic slab of chocolate truffle with spray cream, I couldn't finish it. Although it's not expensive, it wasn't the Italian quality you'd expect from a family run restaurant, and I wouldn't have chosen to come here knowing what I do now as theres so many other options for the same price.

Thank you. My meal had a piece of plastic tab from a box and I was only quietly pointing it out to a waiter so they were aware. The manager came over and kindly offered my meal to be free. I was not expecting that but gladly accepted your kind gesture considering I could have choked if I had swallowed greedily. I thought it was going to be a bone from the chicken (I had pollo calzone) but was pleased it was plastic rather than bone! But it didn’t spoil my meal. Really enjoyed ourselves. I’m disabled and don’t go out very often so it was a nice treat for me. My partner and I will be back as we live in Brighton - and my friends will be back next year on the coach trip. My friends Kev and Carmen loved that their names were on the dessert menu. Thanks again for a great experience and I wasn’t at all worried about the plastic. Accidents happen. I will leave a good review on Google, Facebook and trip advisor and won’t mention the plastic! Just the great food and service. Thanks again and see you soon!

I ordered pizza with my husband but we had a big problem with eating it because of the cutlery, they were very blunt ... It was faster to eat with your hands than with cutlery. Overall, the interior is nice, albeit very cramped. The food is ok, but you have to read the menu carefully.

Disappointed given all the good reviews it got, the pizza i ordered was incredibly oily and thick, the base was very soggy as a result. My partner was bothered by lots of small flies in the restaurant too which he wasn't happy about Staff greeting was mediocre at best, didn’t seem to be in high spirits either Sadly best part of our night was some eclairs from the Tesco down the street Go to tonkotsu next door, great service and value as well as extreamly delicious food worth your time and money.

Fancied a quick bite to eat late Saturday afternoon, and this place did not disappoint. We ordered before 5pm, and so were able to take advantage of the early bird 2 course meal deal. Service was friendly and efficient. We weren't rushed at all, but they also didn't hang about once they knew we wanted to be in and out quickly. The food was plentiful (very large portions for such a low price) and tasty. Much better than I expected, when considering the price and the speed of sevice. The restaurant is a little tired in places, but I like that. It's comfortable and welcoming. We left feeling absolutely full, but wishing we're weren't, as we wanted to go back and try other dishes.
