As a novice to Indian cuisine, the staff took great pride and attention to recommend a dish that was perfect to my tastes.

Years ago Spice Island could be hit or miss. Not any more. For about 18 months it has been absolutely amazing. Food is delicious, plentiful, and priced fairly. Drinks very well priced, not stupid prices for excellent wine. Staff must be the nicest and most helpful anywhere. In fact we called in on spec a few weeks ago,and we were lucky to get a table it was so busy. Now we always book. Highly recommended.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Food was lovely, and good value. Only criticism would be that the place needs a little bit of tlc but still an enjoyable experience

I was passing and never used before but ordered a vegetable rice which was full to the brim, tasty and served quickly. No wonder it's so busy. It was really nice.

First time in this excellent Indian Restaurant .From the time we walked in to finishing our meals everything was fantastic. Started was pappadoms with chutney tray. I opted for the Tandoori Mixed Grill and Nang had the Lamb Madras.Pillau Rice was excellent and the Peshwari Nan fantastic. Our friend had the Tandoori mix with a mildish curry on top.WE ALL ENJOYED.SEE YOU SOON

Our first time in the spice quarter, Monday night a good atmosphere with a half full restaurant, the service was excellent as was the food. Highly recommended. Wife says fantastic wine to complement the food, flavours were pourful but subtle, fantastic taste. Will suit all types of clientèle with mild fragrant to hot and spicy. EXCELLENT
