I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Rose Indienne. Ordered a lamb shank and was surprised not just at the value for money, but also at how tasty it was! Service was prompt and the restaurant was very flexible with payment methods. Would highly recommend for lovers of a good Indian in a traditional-looking setting.

Food was cold and the best part I ordered chicken tikka masala and got just chicken tikka. This is my first time having food from here but won’t be going back.

Ordered food online estimated at 25 mins An hour and a half late and food all stone cold I called the restaurant at the 45 min mark and they said waiting for driver, but food was ready, if this was the case maybe make sure either you keep the food hot or time the cooking when you know you have a driver Very unimpressed first time customer

Smart restaurant with super friendly staff and excellent food, best in the area.

Finished an evening with a curry following our annual visit to the Swansea Beer Festival. The service was OK, could have been more jovial and pleasant. The curry was nice and portion size good. Overall a fine way to finish the evening.

I think the price of the drinks put me off my food. There is no need to charge Pop Concert prices.....It is just greed. Food was ok but I would never go there again.

Food was delicious 😋 Vegetarian biriyani was finger licking 😃 I felt the quantity for starters (panner tikka) was very less but it was tasty .

Not the best won't be going again

We had a decent meal on a Sunday evening. Restaurant was very quiet with only 1 other table occupied. Meal of chicken tikka madras was tasty enough. Partners jalfrezi was a little too hot for her taste, but the dish itself was fine. Wine was expensive with the cheapest red on the list weighing in at a hefty £18.95 for an unremarkable bottle.

Had a take away, the food as always was absolutely delicious 😋 👌

Very good Indian restaurant. I had veggie dishes. All well cooked without loosing the identity of the vegetables forming each dish. My only niggles was the similarity in sauces/ spiciness. It won't stop me going back though. EDIT A further visit and food was good. One thing I noticed is the staff were looking very unhappy. The guy who served us was not on thr ball and the manager was on his case a lot, which was probably warranted. It seemed to me that all the staff were under the cosh.

This was our first visit and it exceeded our expectations, we definitely will visit again.

Well, New Years Eve. Booked, we thought for 8.00. No, apparently "everyone books for 8.00, does not mean you either get a table or will be ready to eat anytime soon". Then complete rudeness from management. "You complained, so everyone in the restaurant is now complaining". So unfair and so untotally untrue. Had to do absolute battle to get 20% taken off the bill. Absolutely awful customer service and totally spoiled our New Year plans. Oh but if you wanted a delivery, only an hour late and not all food delivered. Not doubting the food may have been okay but what a terrible experience. Never known it in England.

Called in for a takeaway for my partner and her daughter, I collected it myself as I only live around the corner. Can't fault any of the three dishes, I will certainly be going there again. Thanks for the wonderful meals and can't wait for lockdown to end in order to book a table and enjoy a really authentic dish.

Went here for my wedding anniversary meal after a day on the beach. Very welcoming and the food was great, thanks. Given a free drink each to celebrate our anniversary. Staff were very friendly and helpful

The best Indain restaurant we have visited in Swansea. Chicken Biriyani, SouthIndian chilli Chiken, Butter Chiken, Egg Fried Rice, Butter Nan were so delicious. We reccomend this restaurant for a weekend dinner.

Delicious Sunday buffet enjoyed here. None of the dishes were too full, meaning the food was being freshly cooked and re-stocked frequently. A good range of choices and I can imagine their a la carte menu would offer some fab dishes. Service was great too.

Best Indian buffet I've had in 25 years especially the lamb

Amazing desserts. I haven't tried the food yet, but I will come again for sure. We had the vegan chocolate cake and the pineapple coconut one. Both with an exquisite flavor and a very good presentation. The restaurant is spacious and very clean and the service from the waiters is excellent.

Visited last Friday There was nothing wrong with the food and had it been reasonably priced i doubt i would have bothered reviewing as it just does what it says on the tin My biggest gripe being the fact a party of two people were charged nearly £40 for what was a very basic meal we had two basic curry dishes , one portion of chips and two naan breads and two drinks They charged something like £7 for a bottle of larger Infact looking across the bill the entire thing seemed to have a lot of rounding up on it My suspicion's were further raised when i went to the toilet there was no hot water in the tap to wash my hands and no electricity being supplied to the drier Now i know its been a tough time for the restaurant industry and a lot have faced serious financial challenges but there's only so much you can pass onto customers before eyebrows start getting raised I mean we are in a backstreet in Swansea not central London at absolute most i would have expected this meal to cost maybe £25-30 and thats what it would have cost 2 years ago so where has the extra cost come from ? This sort of inflation seems to be rife at the moment across industries and i personally am refusing to take part in it any longer i'd rather just stay in !

Fabulous night at the Rose Indienne last night. Lovely surroundings, attentive and friendly service made it a warm, relaxed evening. Excellent selection of food, and my lamb methi was lovely. We'll be back.

Good buffet freshly cooked food not cooked in bulk they get fresh food as its ready lamb saag and chicken pakora delicious. The owner Abdul is great really looks after the customers and very welcoming

First time at this restaurant, after initially booked a different restaurant for my mums birthday, which looked awful from the outside and the waiter standing in the doorway had an un-ironed shirt with food stains on it (and it was only 6.30pm) so we legged it and seeked to find an alternative. However so pleased we did as the food in this restaurant was fantastic. Both the service and ambiance was just spot on. So if you ever find yourself running for the hills, from a less than desired eaterie, I would 100% recommend Rose Indienne. We will most certainly be back and will indeed be the first choice. Thank you for a fantastic experience.

Really nice food. Went twice while visiting Swansea, the first time with my order of Papadom I receive 4 condiments, the second time I had to ask but only given onion salad. So not very good.

The food really is the highest quality Indian I have ever tasted. I love Indian food and have tried multiple restaurants but this is the best for food quality in my opinion. The curry sauce has a rich, deep and authentic flavour which cannot be beaten anywhere, well, not that I've come across yet anyway. Without doubt, the best Indian in Swansea and surrounding areas

Just had a fantastic takeaway from Rose Indienne; 3 dishes, all delicious, and delivered a little before they said. And to the previous reviewer, I would say that these reviews are meant to give information and comment on the quality of the food and service; not the religion of those who are working hard to provide it.

Normally a regular customer but recently it’s gone terrible that’s the last for me !

Gone way downhill recently. Stale poppadoms, oily fries, tasteless saag bhaji and dry, tough chicken. Service takes an age as well. Used to be a 5star restaurant, now downgraded to 3 star. Avoid at all costs.

Always love eating here. Have tried variety of dishes off the menu and never ever disappointed- food is fresh, so very tasty and always served with a smile. Lamb chops are my favourite but everything I have had has been delicious. Owner Abdul is attentive and makes sure everything runs smoothly. 100% my favourite Indian restaurant.

Often visit this restaurant I have never had a bad meal yet we visited tonight meal was absolutely gorgeous our waiters were so friendly Sami served us he couldn't do enought to help would definitely recommend. We are from Newport but when we stay in Swansea it's the only place to visit!!!

The two pilaus we ordered were gone off, sticky and had a rancid smell. This pilau was used as a base for the lamb biryani we ordered too. 3. Curries were again not fresh, re-heated food. After realising we called for the waiter to smell the pilaus, he looked like he was going to vomit. Apologised but said that everything gets cooked fresh in the afternoon. DEFINITELY MORE THAN A COUPLE DAYS OLD FOOD. RE-HEATED AND SERVED to paying customers. Only removed £10 off from the bill. Absolutely disgusting, won't ever be coming here again.

The best Indian restaurant that I have experienced. The flavours of the food are amazing. The service is second to none. A truly wonderful experience. Highly recommended never tasted food as good. The only downside was the one draft lager was a little flat but even that wasn't too bad.

The restaurant had the filthiest seats I have ever seen. Our hosts took a photo upon which the man in charge that night asked us to leave. We noted they only had a 3 hygiene rating and weren't part of the £10 scheme

The most overated Indians restaurant I have ever been to with my work I travel all over the Uk the service was terrible and the food the same how people keep going to eat in this place no social distancing cleaning bad the food not worth the fifty percent off price. Arrived at 20.45 had to ask for drinks after waiting over 15 minutes took our food order and didn't get it till 22.40 we asked at 22.10 and were told not long surely they should let customers know about delays on arrival

Having previously enjoyed many previous visits, over a number of years, attended early evening (6.20) with family guests visiting Swansea, finding an almost empty restaurant. Having been shown to a table we could not help but notice the filthy state of the chairs provided.On pointing this out to the staff member, he reluctantly swapped them for other chairs from nearby empty tables.These were even worse, with numerous stains which were clearly old and ingrained, with others which left a stain on fingers when brushed.Truly disgusting.When this was pointed out to the staff member, and a polite request made to speak to the manager, the reply made was, "I am the manager, if you don't like it Get Out!"Being appalled at both the filthy state of the seats and the attitude of the staff member, we could only imagine how this translates to the kitchen and other areas, and left immediately.This was my worst experience in a restaurant, anywhere in the world. I would strongly recommend any potential customers to look at the chairs before risking sitting down, especially in the current climate where hygiene must surely be more important than ever.

Great food, friendly helpful staff!

I was reluctant to order take away as there were a few negative reviews. However, I decided to order based on my previous experience (and I was hungry for my favourite dish mushroom Bajhi and peswhari nan) . Happy to report that their food as delicious as always. We placed our order and it was ready in 20 mins. Piping hot.

After previously eating at this restaurant before lockdown I have had 2 takeaways in the past month. The first was fine, little bit of a wait even thou I ordered 2 hours before pick up time. The second last night was very poor.We ordered an hour before pick up agreed a time but despite this, we were kept waiting for 45 minutes. In this time at least 7 other people picked up takeaways. The attitude of the staff member was quite nonchalant. Food not as good, won't be returning

I have just spent my money in this place for a takeout and have received an awful quality meal, as well as some of my order Being missing!!my meals was tasteless and rushed. The Staff member Abdul, Response when Contacted was not acceptable. I won’t be returning. Food in the bin and now scouting the fridge for a bite to eat. Great thanks chef!!
